Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore Owings Mills

This is a well cared for property with excellent front desk personnel, washer/dryer, fitness center, very good breakfast and clean in general. The bedsheet appeared to have dried blood on it...not so clean. The odor of burning marijuana was present in the elevators and on the front parking lot. On a weekday a young man sat outside in the grill area apparently smoking marijuana. I observed another young man crouched next to my car on the front parking lot so I went to move the car. He stated," I'm trying to hide" as he was apparently smoking marijuana. His friends were in a car next to mine and they all quickly departed after I went to move my car. There were many people milling about the parking lot on Friday and Saturday nights. Didn't seem like they were registered guests. Two Maryland State Troopers entered the lobby and spoke to front desk personnel investigating a stolen car that they said was last seen on Marriot property. Didn 't feel safe at this property and won't return.

Great customer service, my check in was very fast , the room was very nice , and very clean.

Checked in went into room soon as I walked in the room smell so good everything was so clean hotel up to date will definitely stay here again and oh the bar I think the bartender name was Tammy her drink she made me was on point

They over charged us by $690 and we still have not been reimbursed. They did not look to see that we had already paid via booking.com. The management could not be reached and the assistance was bare minimum. Being overcharged and no resolution. Still waiting a month later.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel, but the shower head was atrociously bad. Marred an otherwise perfect visit.

Everything was lovely but HEADS UP - the hotel charges $7 to park in their regular parking lot, which has no gate to go through or anything. I was wondering how they knew to bill me, since I had never given them a license plate number. The nice man at the desk said that they simply charge everyone - in other words, a company which is nickel and dime-ing you. They do not mention it AT ALL when you check in but send you a separate bill for it. Just be aware.

I loved that the staff were mostly friendly. The pool was fun however the chlorine levels where really high the breakfast was good and when we had issues the staff addressed them to the best of their abilities. we had to pay for parking and it wasn't security or covered parking really made my view of the place drop and is the reason I won't be back. The rooms where and building where needing some repairs. Hooks hanging from walls, the door knob in our bathroom, the shelves in the shower needed to be recoiled,some missing tile and pieces of the wall paper was peeling and bulging up. Over priced

First room the toilet was broken so had to pack sup and switch rooms. Second room there was roaches. Was offered to switch the next day then the pill was out of service. When I picked this hotel just for the pool.

The room was so spacious and clean. We enjoyed the fully kitchen along with a very good free breakfast in the lobby each morning. The location was convenient and check in/out were smooth and easy. Would definitely stay again! Hope to be able to take advantage of the indoor heated pool and fitness room next time. Only two future requests- microwave in room and coffee available all day in the lobby. We had a very lovely and comfortable stay!

Very nice staff, room was clean, and amenities were more than adequate. The one problem is the dishwasher, there are no clear instructions on how to use it. It is not a traditional dishwasher

Love the Residence Inn it gives you that feel of home away from home your on Studio with options eating in or out mingling & there patio area with seats & grill is also a nice amenity.

The size of the rooms-suites are amazing. These are like small apartments with a full kitchen. Super clean and functional. Will stay here again

The only issue with this Hotel is breakfast ends to early.

The bed was comfortable however the thermostats were too cold. We sat outside the most of the time.

The location was excellent - minutes from the venue where I attended an engagement. Just one minor detail for the staff - please ensure that all lights in each unit are operational, i.e. replace bulbs

Everyone that worked at the hotel was polite and kind. Only drawback was the maintenance man smoking right next to one of the side entrances. Very clean, easy to restaurants and shops.

This visit was not the best. I stay here often when traveling for work. I am a Marriot Elite member. They stuck me in a room with absolutely no venue. My room was facing the back of the roof structure. Typically, when I’m on a highly floor, it’s pretty quiet but my next door neighbors in this room were pretty loud at all times of day and night. The worst though, there were ants in the kitchen area. I have never encountered this before. Lastly

The first room they gave us had a pull out sofa that was broken. The shower curtain did not have an inside curtain so water ran everywhere. The light above the table did not work. So then they gave us another room that was better but it was by a stairwell and kids were up and down it all night.

1st time staying at your property. Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming.

So this was my first time at this hotel, I knew from the pictures that is was gonna be amazing and it was. Lobby , staff, and the king bed with sofa room was so beautiful. It reminded me of a mini townhome when you entered the room creating homeliness . 5 stars indeed for my birthday weekend I give this hotel and will definitely be back soon

I did a lot of research before booking this hotel and I must say it was even better than I expected! Absolutely loved everything about the room! Comfortable beds, kitchen, sitting area, and shower! Highly recommend staying here 🙂

Also, as I mentioned in my last review, the left cable on the gym’s cable machine was not working properly. Again, it is a decent gym for a hotel but it’s still fairly small so it would be great if all of the equipment worked. As a major plus!!!!!…I was so so so very happy that breakfast during this stay offered turkey sausage. I don’t eat pork and when I’ve stayed previously, they only had pork breakfast meats, so this was a real treat this stay to be able to enjoy a full breakfast. Thank you!!! Overall, I will always keep coming back here. It’s truly like home away from home, especially being able to do laundry in the hotel. And the staff is always excellent, kind and accommodating!!!

We’ve stayed there twice, and both times the heating unit in our room didn’t work. The staff tried to be helpful. The place is nice and convenient, but we won’t stay there again.

Being pet freindly will makd it a top choice when retur ing to the area. Only nit is the rooms feel dark. More light!

The hotel try to charge me even though I had already pay for the room and tax . She stated I don’t not pay tax . After showing her The receipt. She stated I did not pay for incidental. I then show that I pay an additional 150 even though I did not use or get anything out the hotel. After the back and forth the lady at the desk said sorry it was a mistake making late for my meeting. This was very frustrating and unnecessary

The food selection was better than most hotels I have been to. Unfortunately the water in the room smelled like sewage and the towels had hairs, some of them pubic which is disgusting. This experience was scary overall and don’t know if we will go back.

The hotel was clean and the room suited our needs. We were informed upon arrival that the hotel was sold out (happens), but we learned that meant the single employee at the front desk was overwhelmed. We rented the suite we had because we needed the pull out bed. There was no bedding in the room for it, so we called and asked for it. We were told it would be right up. After waiting about 45 minutes, we finally went to the front desk, waited for assistance & then waited for the person to go and get the bedding and bring it out to us. Not the type of service we expect from a Marriott. We have received better service for hotels we paid 75% less for.

Under Staff, No Towels, Wash Cloths or Pool Towels had to wait hrs. Room was dirty had to change my sheets myself makeup on pillow. Breakfast ran out each morning. Tv didn’t work. Customer service was trash! I booked this hotel for grill and fire pit both was not working but I wasn’t aware before booking.

Absolutely a great place to stay. Rooms were clean employees were pleasant and the breakfast was amazing.

I did not like that my room that I booked was not available when I checked in. My reservation was for Wed & Thur Night. I called on wed night to inform that I would not be coming until thur. The hotel rep said no problem, see you tomorrow. She stated that I would still be charged for both nights. The room I booked had grab bars in the shower for my handicap wife. The room I got was not. I asked for a shower chair and one was delivered. I was too big for the size shower. The whole set up was not conducive for a wheel chair bound person. The toilet was very low to the floor, which made it extremely difficult to get on and off. Also no grab bars near the toilet either. It was not a good experience.

It was a very convenient location. It is a good spot. The hotel is spotless with warm breakfast. The rooms are updated and well equipped. Our stay was nice.

The room was great. The front desk was great. Had a problem with the lady came around at 1040 banging on the door hard and continuously. She ask when or what time you leaving when I had added an additional day and I had twenty minutes. Everything else was Excellent and they took care of all our needs. The Lady need to be addressed. The office chair was unusually high-quality. The kitchen is very functional and sizeable. All the staff we met were personable and helpful. Cons were few & far between: The free wifi could have been a little faster. The food quality for the included breakfast was mixed. We will be back!

Had to request to change a room because of the smoke smell. 2nd room was better but the sofa bed is not even. Very uncomfortable to sleep. There is an indoor pool but it was closed due to the contamination. The pool was bubbly. Hotel need to clean the grass areas. Lots of dog drops. Breakfast is horrible. I cannot believe that scrambled eggs can be bad taste.

First room smells of smoke. The second room was fine. Did not like the barking dog.

Enjoyed my stay at this Marriott. I forgot the gentleman's name that checked me in (first name began with a "J"), he was welcoming, professional and very accommodating. Room was huge, clean, bright and updated. Comfortable bed/pillows therefore a good sleep/rest. Overall good hotel and would stay here again.

Unfortunately, the heat was loud and didn’t really work and one of the in wall light fixtures was busted and left that way for check in.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. We waited many minutes and still no one came. We ended up picking up a business card, read the phone number to the hotel and make a call to see if that got someone to the front desk. After several rings, a lady finally came to answer the phone and then checked us in.

Had to change rooms during 2 night stay because first room had roaches. Second room was clean and spacious.
