Unfortunately, the room was humid. The carpet was damp near the sink. The carpet and couch had stains. The room phone was visibly dirty.

Property was maintained. Staff was pretty nice except for one girl at checkout on Monday morning at 4 am. Towels were thin and hard. Need to upgrade that. Overall I enjoyed my pay.

However, the free breakfast with Karen, the morning server, was extremely delicious. She was helpful, kind and accommodating. She found a way to make daily breakfast an enjoyable experience. Pauline, the front desk clerk and bartender, was notified of patrons violating the pool rules. She immediately resolved the issue. Great staff at Hyatt Place. I will definitely book again. I am looking forward to the completion of the renovations for my stay next June. Thank you Karen and Pauline for an amazing experience. Additionally, the manager listened to breakfast ideas, and the next morning, Karen made it happen. Awesome experience!!

The place smelled like weed and the bathroom was poorly maintained. The toilet was loose and the shower was missing it's liner. The kitchen didnt exist so getting an easy meal was not an option.

breakfast was horrible. a man was seen setting up the plates after smoking a cigarette never washed his hands.

The room had not been clean hair as every where from the shower on linens. Dust on bed and nightstand. Bed was comfortable however I brought my own bed lined and bath towels. For a Hyatt property I expected more. This was the my worst experience with a Hyatt property

The first room I received the carpet was dirty and so was the couch. Then I was moved to the fifth floor, where they are remodeling and the second room the carpet had stains the couch had stains and the TV did not work, but I decided to just stay at the room because I was told there weren’t many rooms available because of the remodeling.

Dirty, filthy and unacceptable. Bathroom, towels, couch, broken door latch, the worst I have ever seen and I've traveled to 6 continents. We had to leave and go to another hotel because of how dirty the room was upon our arrival.

Room was clean. No waffles at breakfast but can’t argue with a free meal. And the staff was okay. I would come back. Did have construction but I didn’t hear it luckily but something to be mindful of.

The only thing I did not like was rooms are not cleaned daily. We were told you have to stay at least two days before you get a “light cleaning”. I stayed three days and room was not cleaned once. They had a shortage of clean towels as a result of this policy.

I stay here a lot because of how welcoming and accommodating the staff is and I always have a great experience. The rooms are clean and it was something that is out of places always fix immediately.

The room was very nice and modernized. It was clean and comfortable. We were one of the first guests to stay in the news rooms so that was excellent and very thoughtful of the staff. The breakfast had a good variety and it was delicious. It was overall a very pleasant experience.

The location was basic with no exciting features. The mattress was HARD. The breakfast was unappetizing- soggy french toast sticks, watered down juice, and unappealing sausage. The ice machine was in the kitchen, so you had to go to the front desk for ice. The staff were not rude but not very hospitable. My room had cobwebs in it.

The staff person that checked me in was very rude. No professionalism at all. She even blame me for not doing her job and telling guest the hotel policy. She does not even smile and seemed annoyed, like I’m bother her.

Well, they are renovating this hotel so there are some things in the room that hopefully will improve. The couch has torn cushions ,no micro, floor has red staining on several areas other than that , it was good. Staff was very friendly.

The hotel is very clean. My room has a king size bed and a full size sectional sofa that converts into a full/queen size bed. The room is practically an efficiency apartment/room with a very small kitchenette but without a stove or microwave. Also the free breakfast is very good, more than most hotels offer in their Continental breakfasts. I have been here for 2 nights and extended my reservation online for a third night and am just now going to check out the indoor pool so as long as there aren't any real issues with the pool I won't change my review.. I truly have no real complaints and will be back again!!

The walls and the ceilings are made of toilet paper. You hear everything hopefully they put sound insulation in their renovations.

Came to visit Stevenson University, which is only a 7 minute drive from this hotel. Very friendly staff upon arrival & leaving. Breakfast was excellent. The rooms are very nice, no microwave though. Have to go down to kitchen to use the microwave. Nice pool & fitness center. Plenty of shopping centers and restaurants within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. We ate at Red Lobster. This hotel does have shuttle service. My husband and son's loved the stay and we will definitely stay here the next time we come to Owings Mills.

The room was clean but there's a lot of things that need to be upgraded like the floor had stains on it the couch had stains on it too. I understand they're going through renovations, would I come back yes I would because I'm excited to see what it looks like after the renovations.

When we got there to check in the room we had booked was not available anymore and we had to stay in a different room which was smaller than the room we had booked.

The carpet had burn marks all over them , it was stains on the couch and the man across from us accused my 12 year old nephew of smoking in the hallway when we was leaving mind you he had all our bags in his hand and after we told the man to go back in his room he continued to argue with a child and we told the front desk and they did nothing at all this was my worst nightmare experience here by far I will not be coming back it made my nephew very upset to be accused of something he wasn’t doing. We will not be going there again.

The room was beautiful and the staff was very courteous. My only issues were that 2 coffee makers in a row did not work! And I do like my coffee. And for some reason, the elevator was not functioning at 4am when I needed to leave for the airport. Other than that, a very nice stay!

There was no control over the establishment there young kids and the drunk and high teens took over the place and made it their playground… the staff was bullied and left to clean up the mess.. 10 or more to a room is crazy… if you looking to throw a party and trash the place with no consequences this is your place for sure… my stay was dreadful

Indoor pool wasn't heated nor advertised as such. That was our going to be our entire activity. The woman at the desk gaslighted us when we checked out early saying you need to go all the way in to get used to the water. My son did go in and swam until he couldn't feel his hands anymore. With it being 10 degrees outside an unheated pool was like going in the polar bear plunge.The tv required payment for watching anything. They wouldn't refund our second night even though we checked out at 1pm for these reasons. Finally the hallways, elevators, and parking lot all reeked of weed.

Always a pleasant stay. Rooms are clean. Front desk is always courteous. Nice breakfast. The hire late security can be aholes. But other than that I enjoy my stay every time. I stay there 5 or 6 times a years for the past 5 years. Legitimately a good place to stay

Fantastic, friendly staff, great location, clean, quiet and comfortable room are standouts for me. Arrived the day after a major snow storm, and although it was a little rough getting into the property, I enjoyed my stay.

Honestly, this place was horrific! It’s super outdated and the staff is rude and bland. I will avoid this hotel at all costs. Great customer service is truly a lost art! The hotel room wasn’t properly cleaned, the mattress had no bottom covers, and the carpet had holes in them. Never ever again!

The night staff was so freaking awesome, she made my evening with her courtesy. It was my husband's birthday and she sang to him. Now whenever we come home and need a place to stay, this is our go to hands down on our side of town. We haven't been down in a while and so many things have changed. I always love the king bed room. You get the feel of a suite because of the division of a couch/living room feel and on the other side a bedroom feel as if you were in a studio apartment. The room was clean, but my problem with this visit that it was long strings of hair on the hand towels, the mirror on the closet door was tucked away to hide a crack which we noticed this morning because we got in late the night before. I booked for a room with a tub, and I got a shower. Maybe, I have been spoiled by this Hyatt, but even checking out, although the young lady who was at the desk greeted us... I was confused when I was asking about check out and I asked how would you know I checked out as she didn't ask for anything just told me to stick the keys in the box. She then said your room dooe is right there on the key. I was like wow. What happened to personal touch. You don't even need to speak to the patron, just drop off the key... I mean wow... it's one thing when you drop of the key and no one is at the desk... but ok. Maybe I have to rethink my choices when I come home again.

Everything has been amazing. Stayed for an extended stay because of work. Breakfast staff led by Mrs. Shanon is top tier. Very accommodating. The GM was on site often and quickly provided the experience that you would expect from a Hyatt. Cleaning staff keeps everything clean and tidy. I would recommend them getting a second microwave for busy days since there is only 1 located in the cafe area. My favorite when I'm in the area

Staff was super helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, pool was nice. Breakfast was well attended to and actually tasty. My only cons are that there aren’t microwaves in the rooms. And ice machines are only on certain floors. But if you’re on the first floor you have to ask staff at the front desk. Which means waiting for ppl to check in or for them to get off the phone, etc.

Check in was smooth and the room was ready for us upon arrival. Only one person at the front desk and he was busy but very pleasant. We had a room on the 6th Floor. It was spotless. However, we booked this room for 4 adults and it was only set up for 3. We had to get extra towels, etc. But not a problem. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was never serviced except garbage was removed and towels replaced - again just for 3 people not 4! Our beds were never made, etc. That was disappointing but we survived. Had a very loud commotion in the hall Friday nite that was very disturbing(woke us all up) but not the fault of the hotel. Breakfast was better than expected with lots of choices, very organized and we enjoyed it. The hotel was very crowded and it didn't help that there was only one (1) working elevator. Overall, we would return. The employees are extremely friendly and we appreciated that. It was a good value.

The manager was dismissive even tho I have video proof of roaches in my room . They’ve charged me twice 650x2 although they stated the 2nd charge is a mistake and will be refunded. Other staff members were nice . Breakfast is blah . Came for a wedding and glad I only stayed 3 days . 2 of those days I seen roaches on separate occasions. The 3rd day I left hours early before check out .

My stay was horrible. The remote on the TV was hardly working, I called down to get batteries and was told “no one is bringing them up, you’ll have to come down if you want them”. Who says that even if that is what I needed to do…the wording was insane. I ordered food…only one elevator was working and crowd was coming in…you can imagine the wait for the elevator down and back was insane. I went out one of my days, no one came to make the bed or refresh the towels. It was horrible…left a bad taste in my mouth and probably will never stay there again.

The lobby was fairly clean but the actual room left a lot to be desired. Refrigerator did not work. I had leftovers (expensive seafood) go bad because the refrigerator went out and the person who handled that had already left for the day....no kleenex readily available.without going to the front desk..no trash bags without a trip to the front desk...room was super noisy all night long. For me Hyatt has always been a trusted name...NOT THIS TIME!

I stay here often because it gives a very homie vibe but recently my last stay wasn’t so pleasant. The hotel needs a major upgrade. There is no smart tvs and if you want to watch a movie it’s $24.99 which is ridiculous. The elevators are always broke. You have to get to breakfast as soon as they open at 7 or there will be no food left. There is always a musty funky smell in hallways. The carpet needs to be pulled up and reapplied. The staff is polite I will give them that. They take FOREVER to give you your deposit back also.

My biggest concern is the amount of smoking that took place really ruin the entire experience. The elevator smelled like marijuana. The bathroom on the last day became engulfed with smoke from another room! I left feeling like I needed to run out the hotel. It really sucks because staff were amazing.

You can tell that no one there takes pride in their work. The front desk staff person who checked us in was a bit unkempt, although she was friendly enough. We got to the room and was disappointed with the big, black spot on the sofa- not something anyone would want to sit on. There were also stains in other areas. Everything just looked, smelled, and felt old, but the room was neat. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and we were unable check out and find something else. We asked for another room and that one was not that much better. There was just not a big, black spot in the sofa. When we checked out, we forgot owe left a pillow we brought from home and called about it. The first six times, no one answered the phone. We were then put on hold for ten minutes before anyone came back with bad news. The gentleman never asked for a good contact number to call in case the pillow turned up - we asked HIM if we could leave our contact information. Of course no one ever called and it was obvious that we never will. I will never stay at this hotel again; I’d sleep in my car before reserving a room there again. I do not recommend this hotel if you are accustomed to good quality customer service and cleanliness. No wonder this was a “special!” Worst two days ever!

Had long wait to check in due to rooms not being ready for an hour & half past check in, difficult since driving for many hours from out of state with 4 tired kids! First room had No water or refrigerator in working condition, so had to Repack and move to another double room . Pool was huge but VERY cold water! Shannon at breakfast was Wonderful and super friendly, staff were nice and would get extra towels/ bed linens on request ( was used to having all that waiting in room at Fairfield hotels suites/ heated pool, microwave in room! ) first time at Hyatt Place for family., nice but lacking in some ways for more comfortable stay with 4 kids. Would be better for single or couples

The stay was ok. One of the buttons on the night lamp was broken and in order to turn off lamp I had to disconnect. With something like this the room should be taken out of service or staff should of resolved another way without having the guest having to unplug things.

My sister and I had rooms on the same floor and my room was far more outdated than my sisters. The iron in my room did not work, there was a cloth (unsanitary) shower curtain compared to the glass door in my sisters bathroom, the refrigerator was dated and you can smell the carpet in the hallway the moment you stepped off the elevator.

I did not arrive for check-in until 12:30 AM. Employee at the desk was very friendly and accommodating. I went up to the room and when I opened the door, I noticed an undesirable odor, but it was late and I didn’t want to go through changing the room because I was very tired. I woke up in the morning and after I got dressed, I came back to the bedside stand and saw that there were ants in the bed, and that was very unsettling and disgusting to see house keeping came to the room quickly when asked, and as soon as they walked in the room, they said it was done the day before, and obviously not completely dried and was not a pleasant smell. I believe the supervisor of housekeeping, then came and also was very apologetic checking the room thoroughly and told us we should go to the front desk which we were going to do anyway

The hotel was horrible. I was in town for a funeral and the hotel made it even worse. There were no blankets on the beds. They told me they were out of them. Housekeeping didn't come in to clean the room. So we ran out of towels glasses, everything you could possibly think of. When you turn the shower on hot, it made a loud shrieking noise and didn't stop until you turn the shower off. I would not advise anyone to stay there.

I had a terrible experience at this Hyatt location. First, the hotel was much farther from Coppin State than advertised, which felt misleading and caused major inconvenience. Second, the customer service was extremely poor—no one answered the phone when I called the front desk multiple times. Lastly, my car was damaged during my stay, and to make matters worse, the hotel had no security cameras on the property. How does a million-dollar hotel not have surveillance, which is a basic safety expectation for guests? Overall, I felt unsafe and unsupported, and I would not recommend staying here.

My room didnt have a bathtub, would have been nice to soak after a long day of work. Reataurant at hotel food menu was limited. Other than that it was nice

This hotel was very nice, I interacted with Nadia who's customer is flawless she is very friendly and professional I give her an A+. The room was clean, bedsheets clean, new towels, pillows was good , and they had breakfast included. Overall I'll say a 10, I'll definitely will stay again.

Very Nice, Clean, Great Smelling and Welcoming Stay. Only issue was the elevatoir went down on my 2nd night of stay so I had to walk up 6 flights of stairs to my room after working a 24 hour shift. I was advised by the front desk staff that it had been down All Day and they did not know if it would even be back on line that day either & for such an establishment, I feel an Emergency Elevator crew should have rectified that situation much earrlier because anyone much older than 57 may not have made it up all those stairs. Also, it would be an Extra Plus if they would have a small microwave in each room for tbe added Convenience !!! Overall 9 out of 10!!

The facility had a musty odor in the hall, and the rooms. The bathroom toilet and shower was not clean so that was disappointing

Rooms are clean and spacious!! The reception desk was welcoming and the evening we were able to have a good night drink and snack.. Overall a great stay.

This was our 1st time staying at Hyatt in Owings Mills and will continue each time we come home to visit. We were so comfortable all around. Everything was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. Loved the size of the room with a livingroom too. All staff we encountered were welcoming, kind, and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms are spacious, with a sitting room, and well maintained. The hotel is quiet and peaceful. I loved the 24-hour gym and that there is a pool, although I didn't get a chance to use it. If ever I need a hotel in the Owings Mills area, Hyatt Place will be my place! 😊

Do not stay here. I stayed for one night and my car was vandalized. My car was parked in there parking lot under the brightest light. I went to leave the next morning and someone had stolen my wheels tires and lug nuts and left my car on blocks in the parking lot. There management is horrible and clearly doesn’t care about your safety or there guest and parking lot. Now I’m trying to get my car back on the road. It is so expensive so far I’m told $5,000 plus. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had and been treated like I’m nothing by any hotel. I hope people see this and stay away from this place!

Checkin was fine, room was pretty clean, beds were comfortable, plenty of space. But, they advertise having a bar, its NOT a bar. Same for the restaurant, no such thing, they could make me fries and wings, or I could purchase pre-made sandwiches from the counter display case. Free breakfast was not good.
