So close to the station and therefore everywhere, it’s clean and Natsumi is a great host. Nothing

I loved the location and the property itself as it was a traditional house. I appreciated having the bathroom facilities in different rooms that helped other guests do their routine without disrupting others. In the private bedroom, there could've been some extra blankets. I stayed during winter and found myself a little cold in bed with a comforter.

Enjoyed my overnight stay

I keep coming back because it’s my favorite place to be. A tatami shared room for 4 with partitions (2 people in each connected rooms) and a separate twin bedroom. Shared kitchen bathroom and living room on the ground floor. I never had to wait for the bathroom or toilet. And the laundry is a big plus. The welcome is warm and super friendly, nothing is too much to ask. I met some like minded people a couple times visiting from everywhere. The area is authentic and also has a nice more touristy side to it with vintage shops and cafes 2min to subway vie parking lot shortcut. And don’t miss the bakery around the corner!!! Walls are thin so you might hear your neighbors if they are a bit loud, same thing if staying in the shared rooms, all depends on who your roommates are, but nothing bad. My recommendation: be a good neighbor !

Ten-Roku deserves 10 stars, for everything from the welcome, the ongoing kindness of Natsumi, the impeccable (shared) facilities, the dorm room tatami, and the private twin room. The area is perfect, a few minutes from public transport, close to a very cute neighborhood but just enough off that path to be quiet. A real local vibe. How well you sleep will depend a bit on your fellow traveler, some snore, but the mood and feel is closer to a boarding house with friendly faces. The price makes it affordable even for longer stay and is great value.

This is a charming little guesthouse! The traditional tatami room with futon was comfortable, the downstairs facilities are peaceful, clean and well-appointed, and the location is less than 5minutes walking to a train station. Beyond that, Natsumi-san is a warm and generous host and I get the feeling she would do anything within her power to make your stay the best it could be.

The A/C was quite noisy and the futon was a little thin, so I didn't sleep well.

The host was absolutely wonderful. Check-in was easy, and the room was nice and clean. The whole guesthouse was clean and welcoming as well. The location is close to a main subway stop. Very easy to get around!

It worked very well for my time in Osaka

It’s in a quiet neighborhood even though it’s close to a main road and just a few minutes walk to the nearest subway station. Nothing.

Affordable price. Clean and very friendly host

The host is extremely nice and helpful. It was so kind of her that she even offered to carry my suitcase to upstairs. I did it on my own but in other places I was not even asked. The building is also in a peaceful and well connected area. I really like the overall experience. There are two bicycles you can borrow. This is the best guesthouse I stayed in Japan. Nothing, only thing I want to point out it’s that would be nice to know how to use the shower room. I am a bit confused when I saw it. It’s traditional designed.

The location was excellent, right next to the station, and the host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were simple, and the rules helped ensure nobody was disturbed. The rooms could have been clearly labelled to stop mixing up rooms.

Beautiful Host, kind and considerate. Lovely ambience and so close to the train station. Simply a haven.

I like the kitchenette. Almost complete Cramped dorm. Not enough coat rack. Maybe 2 person share a coat or 4 person share 1 coat rack, not sure

Unlike the conventional hotels, this accommodation offers a rare opportunity to live in an authentic Japanese house, complete with its architectural charm and cultural nuances, such as sliding shoji doors, tatami flooring, and a peaceful atmosphere. While it may not have the conveniences of a luxury hotel, such as en-suite bathrooms or special mattress, it makes up for it in authenticity. If you're looking for something more than just accommodation, this guesthouse is a great choice. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience Japan beyond the usual tourist spots! I personally didn’t have a problem with it, but would be useful to know that the restroom and bathroom are located on the first floor, which means a short trip downstairs if you're staying on the second floor, but that's part of the experience! It encourages you to embrace the traditional lifestyle, where space and practicality are designed with a different philosophy.
