Staff was outstanding. Hotel was in refurbishment which would have been nice to know before we arrived. Breakfast was amazing and delicious. Pool area needed shade and pool chairs. I realize the hotel was in transition but seriously. Banquet chairs and 0 shade. It was a bit brutal in 103+ temperatures. Rooms were clean and construction disruption minimized

The hotel was under construction during our stay. We were told there would be no construction on the weekends, but they started in with loud saws etc. at 7:15 a.m. Saturday morning. Front desk staff was apologetic and understanding (no manager on site). Due to the construction, one of the rooms we reserved was not available and we are still working to recover the difference that we paid in cost. The manager has not responded to date.

It was clean and the staff was friendly. I didn’t realize when I booked that the property is u undergoing renovations. It didn’t impact my stay much at all, but was a little noisy during the day part of my stay and some messy areas due to construction. I think the renovations are well overdue as the room was well worn and could use some updating. It was fine for the one night I stayed.

Current floor level cabinet is very awkward to use. Clean rooms, good AC, pretty comfy bed. Good breakfast and coffee.

It was a very pleasant stay. The rooms are very clean, with daily housekeeping service. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. Another positive aspect was the free parking.

The staff is friendly. This place has gone down hill. From piles of laundry (and trash) being parked in the hallways for hours at a time to the fact that there is not enough parking, to the problem that most of the outlets wouldn’t work to charge a phone, I have a very different impression of the hotel that I had in previous years.

The front desk clerk didn’t give us any details about breakfast times, pool, or fitness center. A very basic check in. The property is outdated. The lobby area rug and furniture were visibly stained. Not a great first impression. The pool is basic and surrounded by a cinder block wall. Our room had a large stain on the carpet, the walls were dirty, and the curtains were stained. The ceiling was plastered over from a leak of some sort. I understand the property is about to undergo a renovation, but u have no idea how it could have a 9.0 Wonderful rating. Very disappointed.

This hotel is supposed to be renovated. We were not told and until it is rooms should NOT be sold. Our experience was absolutely horrible. Alarms going off, horrible room conditions, dirty and so much more. The Hotel Manager confirmed when we were checking out to give us a complete refund and said "consider it done." Unfortunately, he did not live up to his word and we did not have anything in writing. He further explained that he was only there 4 months and prior to him they did NOT have a manager and the staff was running the hotel. Filed a complaint and will never stay at ANY Holiday Inn & Express. Too bad they did not live up to their word and even admitted how bad our experience was at the hotel.

The staff were lovely, but the cleaning staff didn't seem to want to refill the cup supply or the ice bags, and I was there a week and a half. The room's carpet was gross, the ice machine on the 3rd flr was broken (how hard is it to get that fixed?) and the breakfasts were okay. Shout out to the staffer who kept the buffet in such good shape.

Housekeeping was great! Staff very friendly and helpful for the most part, but when I told the front desk person that the TV guide was not lining up with what was actually displayed, they said they were aware of the problem, and just suggested flipping through the channels. Nice work out room, but not sure why one of the benches had not been re-covered. The vinyl was completely worn out, and left fabric on the floor.

Hotel seemed pretty clean but rooms need some work. Bathroom wallpaper was peeling off by the ceiling. Toilet ran. All in all just ok.

Nice looking hotel in a nice neighbourhood and walkable to stores. The lobby area is nicely furnished and the receptionist was welcoming and efficient. Everything looked clean and well maintained. There was plentiful parking and well lit. The room was nicely furnished with a small but functional bathroom, good lighting and a view of the mountains from our third floor room. Having a fridge and microwave is a good feature. Lots of hanging space and drawers. Comfy beds. Very clean and fresh. Air conditioning is quiet and efficient. Wall mounted toiletries are welcome. Breakfast was standard fair with help yourself cooked items of eggs, bacon and potato, a couple of cereals, pancake machine, yoghurt, juice and fruit. Overlooked by an friendly lady attendant. Minor things I would mention is the lack of charging gadget ports that feature in most hotels now, but there were sockets next to each bed. The drains in the sink and bath did not empty very well resulting in standing in rising water while showering and waiting a few minutes for it to drain out. On our last night the plug mechanism in the sink broke in the 'in' position meaning we couldn't use the sink properly. (Too late at night to seek repair). NO SAFE in rooms (see below). We were disappointed in the pool area. Nice feature and the water was warm but no poolside chairs or sunbeds which would have been helpful. There were two metal outdoor tables and fabric covered only two chairs (internal conference room chairs by the look) not suitable for relaxing and certainly not for wet swimsuits. The pool area did not appear to be serviced in that there were only two pool towels and bugs floating in the water. The MAJOR issue that occurred was that when we returned after a day out, late afternoon, we discovered the door insecure. On approach we saw it slightly ajar and it pushed open. Presumably left by whoever had serviced the room. Absolutely unacceptable as our passports and bank some cards were in our luggage.

In room king suite has soiled carpets, stained seating, dirty grout in bathroom tile, bathroom lighting bulbs out, air conditioning units with cracked and sagging plastic grating, and uncomfortable mattress. Best part of the stay was the 5:00 a.m. good shower and the two free bananas. Went over to the nearby Denny's for a 7:00 a.m. real breakfast and then checked out as quickly as we could.

Clean, easy access, some different hot food choices on successive days, overall good. The AC unit in room was really noisy when it would kick on so if you are a light sleeper you might want to have earplugs.

Great location in Oro Valley. Priced appropriately. The rooms could use a bit of a refresh. It was fairly easy to hear neighbors through the wall and people walking in the room above. Overall though the pricing of the room was fair for what you get. The breakfast choices were great! Great variety of options for everyone and the breakfast area and dining room were very well organized and clean! All of the staff that we interacted with at this hotel were incredibly helpful and kind!

The selection for breakfast good. They didn't have any plates so you had only bowls. Some of the signage needs to be updated. The hours for breakfast were changed. The updated hours on the sign were written on white tape.

The gym was filthy. I asked to have it swept on my second day. It still wasn’t done by my 5th day when I left. Burnt out light bulb in the br. Shower curtain rod fell on day 2. Entrance smelled like pot, and I don’t mean a flower pot. Power outlets on the lamps are so loose that our charging plugs didn’t work. Asked for a few extra hangers because our closet only had 4. Never received them.

The room was very nice and clean. The shower/tub however. So-so. The water didn't drain well, so you were standing in water the whole shower.

The desk staff was GREAT! And Migel who was incharge of the breakfast bar went above and beyond being pleasant and helpful. Rooms were clean but mine did have a couple minor condition issues.

The pool was heated, which was a very nice surprise. The hot tub was a great temperature as well. My room was clean, and the AC unit worked perfectly!

Breakfast was ok, pancake machine was broken, no toast, muffins tasted like chemicals. Check in was easy, but lacking. Coffee was good. Morning staff was pleasant. Check out was easy.

it was convenient to the actual destination of my trip. Their included breakfast was really good. They did not want to honor the reservation I made. I booked a room with 2 beds on the ground floor. Only after I threatened to leave did the give me a room with 2 beds instead of 1 king bed. I still did not get a ground floor room. They said it was Booking.com's fault that my original request was not communicated, even though the hotel had confirmed my reservation directly via email when I booked.

Staff was great. My room was blah. There was a patch on the ceiling from a recent leak, I think. Some buttons on the tv remote didn’t work. The water pressure in the shower was super low. The toilet seat wasn’t aligned on the toilet. And the room had a funny (not in a good way) smell. Probably remediation from previous leak.

So yeah as far as the room was in good condition, the shower head needs cleaning real bad. It has gum on it. I couldn't sleep the unit in the room. When the heat turned on it squealed made in loud noises. Other than that, what do you want me to tell you? I pay good money and to get that no not happy

Had I been aware of this pitiful service, I would NEVER have selected this property for my multi-day stay.

During my stay, the front door required a struggle to open, the lighting was dim and mismatched, and the AC was inconsistent. Being an older building, noise is a major factor—I could hear quite a bit of activity from the neighboring rooms and constant footfalls from the floor above. The Highlights: The location is the real winner here. It’s right on the CDO Trail and conveniently close to a Quick Stop and plenty of affordable food options. Value Verdict: I wouldn’t pay more than $150 a night to stay here. If you can snag a deal, the proximity to the trail makes it bearable, but otherwise, the maintenance and noise issues are hard to overlook.

Nice newer hotel but the appearance was just about the only good thing about the stay. A cardboard box has better noise suppression than this hotel. You can clearly hear conversations if anyone is in a room next to you as if they were in the room with you. Unfortunately a gymnastics team was in the room above us practicing their floor routine until 3 am so could barely get any sleep. Would've been better off sleeping in the car in the parking lot.

Great stay! Was in town for Tuscon Marathon and it was the perfect location. Rooms were nice, breakfast was great. Gym was very small, ice machine was out of order on my floor, but overall I was very pleased with my stay. Friendly staff!

Having an alternative DF yogurt would be ideal for those of us who cannot digest dairy. Room was spacious in clean. However, I sent two emails to the hotel prior to my stay, neither of which were answered. For security reasons (a woman traveling alone), I asked for an upper floor weeks in advance. Having an alternative DF yogurt would be ideal for those of us who cannot digest dairy. Room was spacious in clean. However, I sent two emails to the hotel prior to my stay, neither of which were answered. For security reasons (a woman traveling alone), I asked for an upper floor weeks in advance. Friendliest staff of a hotel I ever met. I recently stayed here for 5 days while cleaning out the home of a deceased relative. The staff accommodated a couple of unusual requests from me and made the stay less of a stressful situation. Breakfast was pretty decent too with different options every morning.

In fairness, we have stayed here in the past, as we have family in the area, and were very happy with our room at that time, and the overall facility and visitor amenities are great, but after this most recent stay we may reconsider staying here next time around. FYI, the room # was 305, in case the maintenance team wants to check it out.

Though the furniture in the lobby and room is stained, as is most furniture in hotels, the front desk and cleaning staff were phenomenally kind and professional. The room was very clean and linens were freshened every day, if we asked.

Being bugged for reviews

2 staff members were very defensive when I expressed issues with room service ( replacing towels, emptying trash). I was offered clean towels and a trash bag. during my last evening I had to call and request toilet paper. Again staff member responded defensively when I commented about lack of room service care during my 4 night stay.

Front desk was awesome and so was the breakfast staff. Breakfast was great. The showers were a little weird and didnt function very well. Housekeeping came around way too late after 2 pm

The rooms were good everything about the hotel work for me great breakfast if I have one thing that I could say that wasn’t perfect. What was the bathroom on the main floor men’s had a urine smell when you walked in I told the people at the front desk and they said they would take care of it but otherwise I enjoyed the hotel. I’d stay again.

I stayed there for Thurs thru Monday and never had cleaning service. I asked the cleaning ladies in the hallway for cleaning service on the third day and they said I was not on their list. I then asked for clean towels and they did give me some. By Sunday there were so many dirty towels in my room, I went downstairs and complained to the front desk and lady with bangs had a list and said my room was scheduled for cleaning. I was gone for the day and when I returned in the evening and my room was still untouched… I checked out Sunday morning and the young lady with dark hair and straight bangs was at the counter. I told her that my room was never cleaned. She replied “I am sorry they were busy. If you do come back another day I will make sure your room is cleaned”. What a liar!!! The hotel was full om Thurs, but by Friday it had emptied out and the parking lot was empty! I will never go back!

Staff was great ! food was decent! Door in bathroom opens in the way of the toilet. A bit dated but a good deal for the price!

The stay was fine, comfortable enough.

I was very disappointed with the maintenance of the room. The carpet had multiple stains. Two chairs had stains. The suite table leg was so loose the table wobbled to much to use. The window curtains in the bedroom had huge water stains and the window screen had a six inch hole in it. I don't normally bother with reviews, but this room was awful!

The staff here went over and above to make our 6 night stay comfortable. The breakfast choices were great, our room was comfortable and everyone from the breakfast attendant to the front desk person were pleasant. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed over the weekend for our anniversary. We had a juccuzi suite and it was so nice. Very large in size. With a beautiful bathroom with a juccuzi tube to fit 2 people! A large living room area with a separate bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed. Breakfast was good, coffee was hot! It was a very nice relaxing weekend! I would definitely stay here again!

Newer facility. Our 3rd stay for business in the area. Good price for the area and it includes breakfast and free parking. Chili's and Quick Trip in same business complex.

The housekeeping staff were nice and friendly too except for one of them who was playing loud rap Music and yelled at me (yes I said yelled) for returning a dirty towell to her cart and getting a clean towel..other than that it was good!

Location of hotel was close to many restaurants and shopping. Hotel was fairly clean, breakfast was average and pool area was small with no lounge chairs. The shower head in our room was terrible. It was either a hard stream of water or a light mist. Could not get it to adjust to normal spray. Room was only cleaned once in three days.

This is a very comfortable place to stay. Breakfast was also good. It could stay open a little later in the mornimg. The only complaint i have is the kleenex. They were very rough to use.

Waited over 45 mins for someone to come to the front desk for check-in. There was a sign that they would be back soon. But when I saw a person that looked like they worked here I went to talk to them, they disappeared, basically ignoring me when I said “Hi” and it was the same person that came 15 minutes later to asssit at the check-in desk. It was concerning, I even thought of calling the police in case something had happened, but no, I guess the lady was going around the building and also chose to ignore me when I saw she saw me. 😕

We were bumped to this hotel from another holiday in express that we had reservations at . The pool at this location was closed and we were given a 2 queen bed room unlike the room we had booked with king sized bed . Also our room was near what appeared as janitor closet a lot of noise at 430 am. We had tried checking At the previous location and was told our room would be held until 2 am .we received a call from the first hotel saying that Expedia overbooked and they did not have room and we’re moving us to another location which was 1/2 longer drive. Felt we got the run around at first hotel when we tried to check in early. Also found dog treats o. The flow which means the area was not cleaned

All of the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was very good. They have healthy options as well as hearty choices. The building is older but it is very clean.

Not worth the money, was 600 dollars for 2 nights, beds were horrific. Hard, couldn't sleep at all. The snacks are highway robbery too. Bottled water is 3 for 8 dollars. What the hell. Canned soda was 3 dollars each!. Save your money.

The bed was probably the most comfortable we have had at any hotel. I want to bug the mattress. The pillows too!

Breakfast was well presented with various options. The breakfast staff was constantly patrolling to ensure cleanliness and food replenishment for the crowd at hand. Location of hotel is near various shopping and eating opportunities. A great location for exploring Northern Tucson.

My room didn't get cleaned. When I reported it at 4:00pm I was told maybe it could get cleaned. It didn't. An hour later I returned to the front desk and got fresh towels. When checking out the next morning management hid in the office and wouldn't come out and talk with me. I definitely won't return.

Would not stay there again. Clerks not available at front desk for check in or assistance. Beds were terrible, soft had pits in them. Stayed in room 330. Had problems standing and walking for 2 days afterwards.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel recently. The front desk staff were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was very tasty and Miguel went out of his way to get Gluten Free items for me. The hot tub and heated pool were an added bonus. The room was clean and very spacious. We will be staying here again.

The room was decent. There were several small things that were dirty abd a few small broken items. All of the electrical outlets near the bed were so loose that plugs would not stay in. Other than that i guess it was ok just nothing special.

Overall great. Super impressed with staff, especially at check in. But some noisy people running around hallls and talking loudly in middle of the night. Room was nice, but shower curtain like from the 1960’s and leaked lots of water on the floor. Having wake up call was nice (not in hotels often). Amazed to get a real breakfast. Unlikely to be back in Tucson area, but would recommend this place and stay again. Definitely needs a sign on the highway as hotel is set way back off the road — hard to find at night, even with GPS.
