Exclusive to guests staying at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel®, and Loews Royal Pacific Resort. (Valid theme park admission required; select attractions. Not valid at Universal Volcano Bay or Universal Epic Universe.) Breeze into one of the Universal parks up to an hour earlier than regular guests with Early Park Admission* (valid theme park admission required; select attractions). A flat-screen TV and Keurig single-serving coffee cups are provided in all rooms of the Loews Royal Pacific Resort along with an iPod docking station. Club level rooms offer upgrades, including snacks and cocktails in the Royal Club Lounge. An Avis Rental Car desk and business center are available. The Gymnasium fitness center is included for Club Level guests. A volleyball court, 2 hot tubs, and transfer service to Universal Studios theme parks are also offered.     Property is beautiful and has a peaceful feel. There are several varied dining options that should please everyone in your party. I especially love the sushi bar near the lobby. Unfortunately while we were there a construction project was going on in our tower. (2) The room next door was being painted - fumes were strong - and so was the area at the bottom floor of the elevator bank. The elevators went up, but not down, so we had to take the stairs. Complimentary waters in the room might have been nice after a long day at the parks.

    The rooms were clean, the staff was accommodating very early in the morning and they had our room ready to way before actual check in time. The water taxi was awesome (and no lines) to get back and forth from the resort to the parks. Also whatever they had in their lobby vents smelled amazing!!

    Love the look and feel with its Asian vibe. Very handy for its close proximity to City walk (and parks) only a short walk of approx 10 mins or via the water taxi from its own dock. Having the express passes was our primary driver as these are included in the premier tier hotels. Rooms were nice not awesome, bed was comfortable and good selection of pillows, TV reception and WiFi were a bit hit and miss. Nice pool area but not as good as Cabana Bay.

    The hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located under 10 min walk from Universal Studios or you can take a water taxi if you don’t want to walk. They have a shuttle bus to the Epic park that is about an 10 minute ride. They have a few options to eat ant the hotel including a sushi bar. Overall, I definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

    Very good! Love the early admission and express pass that comes with the hotel stay. Love the luggage service so that we can enjoy our time at the Universal Studios sill on the day of hotel check out. also, the food and drinks sold by hotel store, the price is reasonable. You can also buy some universal studios’s merchandise in the hotel if you miss that. The best stay!

    Housekeeping hadn’t come by 3:30pm one of the days, which is annoying. The hotel staff is very nice. Julian at the check in counter was awesome and probably one of the nicest people there. Cleaning staff were also great and friendly. The only staff I didn’t enjoy was the lifeguard staff. They shut the pool down for rain, and when it was done they came out joking and laughing and ignoring me and went inside then took approximately 25 minutes to reopen the pool area afterwards because they were too busy chatting and playing around with each other. The coffee inside the hotel was pretty decent, and I also enjoyed the bar. Drinks were good and decent sushi/healthy options. Overall I would decline to stay there again, unless the rates were significantly lowered.

    The hotel was very good, but I was disappointed that there was no longer a spa. The dining options could be better, this is the first resort, I have stayed at, that only had two restaurants; both overpriced. I love the complementary bus shuttle, and boat shuttle to the parks, it was very convenient because we had two children in tow, a double stroller, a regular stroller and five adults. The charging outlets that are in the furniture, the bedside table should have been working. In the future, I will stay at another universal resort, even with any minor issues, the stay at this hotel was very, very good.

    We went visited to celebrate our son’s birthday and noted this in the additional comments at the time of booking and when we checked in. Nothing was done to acknowledged this special occasion. The gym is well equipped but expect that the bottled water and fruit will be obliterated by a swarm of families who rock up in the morning, don’t use the gym but just clear the place of all of the above in one foul swoop!🙄

    This is the ideal location to stay if you are going to Universal. It is a 7 minute walk from the front door to the park and the Universal Walk. So much fun and we will stay again!

    The whole check in process took way too long. I was stood in line for over 30 mins waiting to check in. I only booked there to get the express pass perk and early entry but by the time I had checked in we had missed the early entry and the Q times were already very long even with the express passes. Most of the day the rest of our party, who didnt have express passes, waited in line the same if not less time then we did! So the whole process and extra expense was pointless for an already very expensive once in a life time trip for our family!

    Spotlessly clean, a lovely fragrance in the lobby and ever so helpful staff! The free express passes are worth it as we only waited 30 mins even for the busiest of rides. The water taxis are a great, relaxing way to city walk avoiding a lot of the crowds around security too.

    The location is perfect for attending Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure! It was wonderful to be able to get on the boat and arrive on the City Walk. There are several restaurants in the hotel. The food was pretty good. I'm gluten free and it was great having gf sushi in Orchid! Breakfast was wonderful, but expensive. Our grandkids loved the pool. Rooms were a little small. One of the beds was really soft and not very comfortable. Restaurants should charge less and give smaller portions. Or, just share the entrees! There's no microwave in the rooms, so it wasn't easy to bring left overs back to the room.

The lack of accountability and poor customer service was very disappointing. Because of the experience, we chose to cut our trip short and leave a day early. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

    not worth the cost for the condition of the room. resort is okay. It is worth the value for the universal passes, but this place is not worth the cost. The furniture beat up.     Everything was great. The staff was wonderful, being able to check in early and leave our bags was super helpful. The Islands restaurant downstairs was ssssooo good. Probably my favorite one so far! The pool was refreshing and love that they played movies. Having the early park entry and unlimited express pass alone makes it worth it to stay here. Will definitely stay again!

    ok Dear Universal Orlando Resort Guest Services, I am writing to submit a formal and urgent complaint regarding a serious failure of the shuttle transportation service from Universal Epic Universe to Loews Royal Pacific Resort on January 12, beginning at approximately 1:00 PM. According to Universal Orlando Resort’s published information, this shuttle service is expected to operate every 20 minutes. In reality, my family and I waited approximately one hour and forty minutes before any progress was made. During this time, several other guests stated that they had already been waiting close to two hours, indicating a widespread operational failure. While a ground staff member was present and appeared to be attempting coordination via radio communication, this effort did not result in timely resolution. Despite continuous radio communication, no shuttle arrived as scheduled, and guests continued to wait under direct sunlight. At approximately 2:00 PM, a female driver arrived in a vehicle apparently assigned to Loews Royal Pacific Resort. Upon arrival, she informed the waiting guests that she needed to take a washroom break and then left. This break lasted at least 40 minutes. As a result of these combined failures, although our Uber to the airport was scheduled for 2:00 PM, we were unable to depart until approximately 3:00 PM, more than one hour later than planned. This delay nearly caused us to miss our 5:00 PM flight. The situation created extreme stress and placed our travel plans at significant risk. Additionally: - Our original Uber driver left due to the excessive delay, resulting in a cancellation/no-show fee. - Dozens of guests, including elderly individuals, were left standing under direct sun with no seating, shade, or clear communication. - No alternative transportation or contingency plan was offered. This incident represents not only a failure in shuttle scheduling, but also a breakdown in operational coordination and contingency management.

    I’ve been here perhaps 10 times over the last 20 years and I always have a good stay. Staff are incredibly friendly. Let’s check in the orchid lounge in the lobby does tremendous sushi. Js bar is always a winner in the Poole is very very nice. But the walk to others adventure and universal perhaps seven minutes if that. The boats are also available. They kept the property up beautifully and I always have a lovely stay. You are gonna have to pay for parking and taxes so you’re not going there for the cheap house but you are going for the lovely saying more importantly express pass which is fantastic.

    But the room is really Disappointing, for a ‘premium’ hotel it was not as good as expected. The shower didn’t drain. The sink was cracked, it could have been cleaner. We asked for a bed rail and didn’t get one. I’m glad it was only one night for the price it is it worth it.

    Excellent location and very friendly service from the moment we arrived at the hotel. All 4 of us presented with Lays before we had even entered the hotel. When we did, it smells wonderful, I mean really wonderful fragrance used. While there was a bit of a queue at reception, maybe 15 minutes, it was no real problem. Offered free upgrade to pool view room which we happily accepted by the very helpful check in staff. The room was spacious and with great views, over pool and other hotels in the distance. Plenty of storage for all 4 of us. Tuk Tuk market was very convenient, especially for a quick breakfast or cup of coffee. Jake’s bar…the portions were huge and of a very good quality. Would happily return to this hotel again and would certainly recommend. The Express Unlimited pass included saves a lot of queue times in the parks and an excellent perk. Next time I visit Orlando, this will be my first choice to look at.

    When we got to check in we needed photo ID which we weren't told about so it was a hassle changing the room to my husbands name and delayed check in :-( the rooms were lovely but the price of food was absolutely ridiculous. $30 for a tiny pizza in Tuk Tuk and $250 for breakfast for 6 people is just wrong! Been out for dinner most nights for 7 people and eaten until we were going to burst for less!

    But check in is lengthy. Once checked in our room wasnt ready but we were given fast passes and told these were our room keys, we headeded to the parks, once room ready we were text but no room number given. So after a long day in the park we had to present back to checkin, present photo id again which we had already done and wait again for new room keys, when all we wanted to do was go to bed, so this could have been smoother for us. The room is clean but there was no option of single beds as we are a party of 4 adults would have prefered not to share beds. The bathroom has no door and the sink back flows and gurggles overnight waking me up.

    Been travelling to this hotel for many years. Areas are now badly in need of refurbishment. Prices have become ridiculous. In the shop, 3 Mars Bars are $15. 6 beers in the shop are $63. I don’t mind high prices in the bars and restaurants knowing it’s a resort but the shop was ridiculous. Service was generally good apart from a bad experience at Vacation Planning. It was not busy but the lady couldn’t get rid of us fast enough. Not the perfect experience it once was.

    Seamless check-in process. We arrived early and a room was already available, but we chose to wait for one on a higher floor. We were even asked which of the seven floors we would prefer, and later received a text message when the room was ready—before 4 p.m., by the way. The room was neat and clean. We only had drinks at the poolside bar, and they were very good. Although we didn’t order food, everything we saw being served looked delicious. The water taxi service and the included Express Pass to the parks were a fantastic value. I will definitely be coming back.

    Amazing hotel! Beautiful, clean, comfortable and overall amazing. The provision of Universal express tickets for guests is a huge bonus. Would definitely stay there again. The only issue we encountered was parking. We were forced to park in the overflow car park which was really far away as the main car park was completely full.

    Huge , clean, family friendly resort. The lobby smells amazing. The unlimited express passes, boat rides to city walk/ universal/ islands of adventure and bus shuttles to Epic universe are a huge bonus. The transportation runs late and often enough. I hope the fast passes expand to Epic one day. Overall great stay.

    Stayed for 1 night family of 4. Lovely looking resort and bonus express passes for universal. Friendly staff at check in. Room however was so noisy could hear voices all night!! Terrible nights sleep for all. On checkout 19 dollars had been added to bill for internet charges, this was incorrect and thankfully deducted when questioned.

    The hotel did not care or deal with the issues we experienced. My son & husband became unwell due to food consumed in the hotel/park. We asked them to extend the date of express passes they said they couldn’t. The top bedding covers were stained and there were 2 bigs barking constantly in the corridor. Awful stuff and a complete waste of money.

    There was work going on in the hotel which was loud in the lobby but staff apologised for this. Check in took a while - issue with printing room keys. This was a little frustrating as we were keen to get in the park! But again, not too much of an issue. Lovely welcome by all staff. Bonus of express passes is always a fantastic perk - we love this hotel.

    We always stay at Loews Royal Pacific Resort when we are visiting Universal Studios. Tonan on reception was lovely and we had the added bonus of our room being ready when we checked in at 7am. We took advantage of the pool and also had drinks and snacks in the American bar. This hotel is highly recommended.

    We had a fabulous holiday at the Royal Pacific. After staying around 5 times we knew what to expect, lovely hotel, express passes, beautiful pool to relax in, super close to the parks, water taxi and convenient (though expensive) mini market/ Starbucks. The hotel was clean and staff were all lovely, my only issue was that the throw on the bed had a few marks/stains on it and some of the room towels were a little frayed, no big problem and I never complained.

    You can’t beat the location or the express pass option however this level of resort does not compare to the premier resorts at Disney in terms of cleanliness and cost. Yes you are only in the room for a short time but for the cost would expect a bit more of an updated and more modern feel.

    The bed was really comfortable and the room was serviced well every day. The property was being renovated in public areas but there were areas of the bathroom in the room which were ready for an update. Staff very very helpful in all areas and nice areas to sit. The use of fast passes in the park was great.

    We had a good stay overall. While the room wasn’t exactly what I hoped for, the amazing staff truly made the experience special.     I was never made aware of this construction work taking place, had l know about this l would never have booked. I had booked an expensive room for myself and two grandchildren, when we arrived in our room my grandson went to use the toilet and then realised he couldn’t get the door to open once he was in there. He became very distressed thinking the door lock was working but we then realised to door was jamming when shut and needed a good pull from the outside to open it. As a result every time we used the toilet we had to help pull the door open from the room side. I would like to be compensated for what l can only describe as a very disappointing stay. I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

    We booked the stay for express passes and early entry to Epic. All was good until getting on the bus to Epic, the staff member did not have control of the queue when the buses arrived. There was also work going on in the lobby which we weren’t aware of. It made walking through very cramped. It wouldn’t have affected us staying but would have been nice to have known,

    Great location, great staff, great food, perfect parking, convenient shuttles and boat rides to Universal parks, nice pools, and in all, great hotel. Negatives were: rooms are tiny, windows are not tinted, and anything you do in the room can be viewed by anyone in he pool, and unnecessary service charges on any food or drinks you buy.     I paid over two thousand dollars for a two-night stay expecting a luxury experience and was met with jackhammer construction, outdated rooms, and hidden charges. The Express Pass was a key reason I booked this hotel, but it does not work at Epic Universe, which was part of our plans. That was not clearly disclosed when booking through the Expedia app. The lobby was under loud jackhammer construction during check-in, creating a chaotic and stressful arrival. We were told our bags would be brought to the room but they never arrived. We had to call down and ask. The room was extremely small for the price, and the waterfront view I paid extra for was blocked by a tree. The TV was outdated and had no way to stream personal apps. We were charged for valet on a day we didn’t use it. Fiji water was placed in the room with no signage and costs eight dollars each if touched. Staff seemed disengaged and even retrieving our Universal park purchases took multiple follow-ups. When I brought this up to staff, the only offer was a breakfast voucher. No refund. No credit. No real apology. This resort does not deliver what it advertises. Poor communication, hidden fees, and a lack of accountability made this one of the most disappointing stays I’ve had. I would not return.

    They came to change our locks right after we checked in. They opened our room while we grabbed our bags, flipped the security lock to keep the door open, blocked the hall when we tried to get into our room, & acted like it was standard practice. They said it would take 10 minutes, anfter over ann hour we went to the pool. After changing the locks our keys didn’t work, which I asked about but they said they would still work. There was a group of teens being incredibly loud. They let it go on well past midnight until several guests complained together. A lot more is expected from a 4-starting resort with that price per night. They were supposed to charge our EV in the valet, it’s the only place with chargers. So we paid for valet durning our entire stay only to get an EV back with less charge.

    We stayed one night to get the express passes, beautiful hotel, lovely staff. Receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly, luggage services staff were quick and also lovely. Spent a few hours by the pool and the servers working there were amazing. Loved this hotel, wish we had booked another day or two, bed was very comfy too.

    We stayed at Loews Royal Pacific from June 30 to July 2, expecting a seamless experience at a premier Universal resort—but unfortunately, it turned into a bit of a chaotic stay. Check-in was anything but smooth. Around 7 a.m., while upgrading and checking in, the hotel’s systems went down. We couldn’t receive our room keys, which also act as Unlimited Express Passes—a major perk of staying here. After waiting 30 minutes with no solution, we were told to handwrite our names on paper passes. This caused confusion and pushback in several express lines throughout the day. I received an email midday saying the systems were back up and our room keys were ready. I figured this was just a small glitch and was relieved it had been resolved—until we returned later that evening. After a full day of waiting in park lines, we were met with another long lobby lineup. Once at the counter, we were told the printer was down again (while other counters seemed to be operating). When I politely asked to speak to a manager, the front desk agent seemed visibly annoyed. Thankfully, the manager who came out was helpful and got us our keys and passes—though unfortunately, the barcodes were still unreadable, which led to continued issues at the parks.     This is our go to hotel at Universal. Not as welcoming as it has been previously, the lobby area, which was once used as a family meeting place has been taken over by a restaurant in the evening. This is meant to be a hotel in a family resort, now no longer has a 'gathering' place for families. Huddling together in a hotel room does not work!. That is major disappointment.

    Cons - quite a few just mentioning the main ones - The room was very dark, and quite run down. The whole hotel needs renovating, the hallways stank of damp and smoke and spillages weren’t cleared up for hours. An ok deal with the free express passes but I’d pick Hard Rock next time.
