    I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel charged me for parking, but this was never clearly disclosed at the time of booking or during check-in. Finding unexpected charges on the final bill is frustrating and leaves a negative impression. Transparency about additional fees is essential, and guests should be informed in advance so they can make informed decisions. Unfortunately, this experience affected my overall satisfaction with the hotel.

    Didn’t have breakfast. Really liked the ease of using the shuttle service to get to the airport. The bed is too high. Difficult to access for senior citizens. Also the sound of the a/c blower was annoying and ran constantly.

    Comparable to a motel with 4-5 times the cost. Shower was less than 2 feet wide, carpet was stained and coming up, counch in room was stained. And directional signage would lead you to nowhere.

    The first room we were given was dirty with unmade bed. The hotel lobby and bar are infused with a disinfectant smell that eventually gave me a headache. The first bartender could have cared less that we were there but the bar food was actually pretty good. The carpet is worn and ripped. Our hallway was covered with plastic runners with molding missing and air blowers going. (assuming a painting job?) The pool and hot tub were not cleaned and were filled with tree debris and algae. and the young lady at the coffee bar was very nice. And while the shuttle driver to the airport was very nice, I definitely would not go back.

    The staff that checked us in were the nicest people we’ve ever had check us in. It was such a present surprise! We had dinner in the bar, and the bartender was also exceptional! I would definitely stay here again if in Orlando. Everything on this property was wonderful!

    Immediately upon check in I advised the front desk that I would like to extend my reservation by 1 day. I booked through Expedia so Marriott pretty much ignores you as a human you if you book through a third party. I wasnt asking to change the reservation I was asking to add another day with a new reservation. The front desk person said since i was after hours 11pm I should speak to the agents in the morning. I called marriott and again they act like you dont exist if you book through a third party and again I advised I am making a new reservation I would just like to stay in the same room. Nothing was resolved on this call so I called the front desk only to be told because you booked through a third party you cant change the reservation and we dont have any rooms. I seriously think these people are brainwashed stupid. I wasnt changing the reservation I was adding a new night..anyway I give up on the story here. I stopped using Marriott when I had a choice many years ago and became a Hilton Honors member and now I know why. Other than that..the rooms are old, overpriced because Orlando, charge for parking when other hotels in the same area 500ft away dont, over priced cold buffet breakfast with few fresh choices..so in summary I wont ever stay here or with Marriott as a whole unless like this trip I am basically forced to. If I have an option I am choosing Hilton 10 out of 10 times.

    Staff was great, location was perfect for my conference. There was a known plumbing issue; when I checked in, there was a note in the desk to let people know about a planned water shutoff the next day. When I looked at the note, the person checking me in mentioned that it wasn’t going to affect me since I was checking out the next day, before the shutoff. At about 3am, I stayed hearing drilling and hammering sounds (very loud, but I couldn’t tell whether they were above or below me). After about 45 minutes of this, when they didn’t stop, I called the front desk. The front desk sent up a security guard, who explained that a team was working on the pipes and the sounds would continue. As it was now nearly four in the morning and I needed the be up in two hours to give a presentation at a conference, I had to ASK to be moved away from the sounds. I had to pack all my things and move to another room. Trust that I will never be staying here again. It’s a shame; all staff I dealt with was extremely pleasant. The location is good, the food at the restaurant is good, the rooms clean and comfortable. I’ve been doing my job for twenty years and never had a more miserable trip.

    We got there early from the cruise ship and our room was ready at 9am. Spacious clean room, comfy bed. Nice lounge and the lady bartender served us an early dinner at Malabar and was extremely kind and helpful. Food was great.

We think they were covering up something. It was bad, it totally ruined our stay. We were too tired to go complain and ask for a room change. We were so put off by the smell outside the room, we figured all the rooms smelled terrible. The stink from the room remained in our clothes long after checking out. We will never stay here again.

    I was not informed until the day my family and I arrived that the water was going to be off through the night at the property. The water ended up being off until after 8am and we were unable to use the restrooms or shower at all before we left for the airport.

    After we checked in, we were told the property didn't have any water and that engineering was working on it. We were told the water was to be back on at 4am, it wasn't. At 7am we decided to leave because the water still wasn't on. I don't feel we should be charged for this night stay.

    This hotel must have recently had some very serious water damage. We were originally given a room on the 7th floor, and we noticed immediately a very musty smell when getting off the elevator. The carpet looked very damaged, and we noticed a floor fan tucked away in one of the corners of the hallway. The room itself was very damp feeling and felt dirty, which was not the best feeling, but the worst part was the air vent had what we were concerned was mold on the ceiling. We called downstairs and we were then moved to the 8th floor after voicing our concern. The 2nd room wasn’t much better, but at least the vent didn’t have as bad of a stain on the ceiling. The room just felt very old and damaged. The hotel lobby was beautiful, but we just couldn’t get over the state of the rooms and the musty/moldy smell throughout the hotel room floors. We expected a Renaissance Hotel to be in better shape than that, and that is why we chose the hotel in the first place, even though it was pricier than other competitors on the app. That being said, having a shuttle every half an hour to the airport was helpful, especially because we had an early morning flight, which is why I couldn’t give it less than three stars.

    Location and staff great. Especially helpful and friendly was the older valet gentleman. Lobby area nice. Rooms, hallways, and elevator poor and in bad need of remodeling. Ceiling in room had black/brown stains over 5’ area, mold?? Felt like we needed I95 mask on. Window sills had bracket and screws laying in them, bath tile mildew, broken tub drain, couch had “you know’ stains on it, carpet needed replacing years ago, only 2 towels (requested more), hot and very humid room likely due to AC moisture output reflected on ceiling. Certainly not worth the $$. Booking said 4 stars, how about 2! Parking extra 20.00/night.

    We normally stay here the night before we fly out for Costa Rica, and this is at least our 4th stay here. Normally I am very impressed with the comfort and quality of the room, which is why we have always returned. This stay I saw a tiny bug on the nightstand when we got there, and I thought it was a fluke, and killed it and moved on. Then, when we woke up very early the next morning for our flight, I went to make a coffee in the room, and there were hundreds of tiny bugs by the coffee maker. It totally freaked me out, and disappointed me for the price point of the hotel, I don’t think I should have to share a room with bugs. We checked out super early and took the shuttle to the airport, so there wasn’t anyone even really at the front desk to notify of the issue. I hate leaving an unpleasant review, because we have always loved this hotel for our airport stays, but not sure we will return.

I was amazed at what seamless service at the restaurant by Allison, who made us feel right at home in the restaurant, which was fabulous for a hotel airport restaurant!!!
