The entire hotel was super clean and nice. Staff super friendly. Many choices for breakfast, the bufe was my favorite. Bar super nice. I love the pool too. I definitely recommend the Hotel.

Stayed here many times over the past 20 years and the property and staff never disappoint. It’s not cheap but it’s worth it. Relaxed in the lazy river and enjoyed lunch at the Knife bar/restaurant. This was a very nice pre-cruise adventure.

Overall we were very happy with our stay. Excellent for young kids as they have multiple water slides and an aqua course. The pool and lazy river are great but get very crowded. The prices for drinks were a bit high in my opinion but the food was great

Lovely stay, room service was nice, delicious and totally worth it on a morning that you don't want to leave for breakfast. The drink menu was curated well. Service every where was fantastic.

The rooms need to be updated and the carpet was worn down. For 500 a night I expect a nicer room. I’ve stayed at hotels in Orlando in the three to four hundred range that had nicer rooms. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly.

The JW Marriot is my go to for travel. However, at the location the room I was given was by the AC ventilation system and it was quite loud in my bedroom.

i’ve stayed at tired property several times and it’s always a good experience. it’s pricey! From the parking fees, the restaurants and drinks, it can rack up but it is convenient. The lazy river is amazing! Very family friendly so be prepared for kids!

Good looking hotel. Nice breakfast. Our room was dirty. Wardrobe was very dusty and dirty. We didn't put anything inside because of poor hygiene. Sent a message to hotel customer service, but nobody responded. We didn't want to call and change the room because checked in late night and our kids needed to rest.

The food and service at knife and spoon was excellent and worth the premium prices. The food at knife burger was very good. The fresh caught fish added to my salad was delicious as well as the pina coladas. The elevators were fast and efficient. There was an obnoxious family eating McDonald's at Evrbar. In a luxury resort this was inappropriate. The wagu sliders at Evrbar were dry without flavor. The pina coladas at the ritz carlton pool bar were milky and warm instead of a frozen mix of goodness.

Rooms were nice, bed was hard & limited space in the shower and the toilet area, very tight like on a cruise or airplane. Service was okay expected better. No enough staff for what is a resort and fees charged.

The JW is a beautiful resort and overall was wonderful. Service was great. However both of our rooms HVAC units smelled like mildew.

Absolutely gorgeous property. The lobby was stunning with a fountain in the center and tall ceilings, all beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff was very friendly and helpful at the front desk. On the day we checked out, they had a hot chocolate bar in the lobby with many toppings and that was a really nice touch and made my daughter very happy. I was under the impression that the room that I booked had a balcony, and when I arrived at the property, that was not the case. This is the second time that this has happened with Booking.com, and I'm not sure why they make the booking process so needlessly tedious when it comes to the picking the room portion at the end of the booking process (i.e., King with a Lake View, 2 Queen Bed Balcony Pool View, etc.) There should be a filter option!

Expected a lot more for a JW Property. Service was lack luster from the pool to house keeping. No bedding for pull out called waited almost an hour to have it brought to the room so we could put our son to bed.

The wifi connection was poor, the shuttle service to disney parks only takes you to 2 parks at certain times and it need reservation 24 hrs prior, room service was not tasty and not worth the price.

We have been taking the grandkids to grande lakes for the Fourth of July the last 2 years and they love it. The staff and the hotel is amazing. The water park and lazy river are amazing. Memories created and fun was had. Def will be back !!!

Only complaint is the pool area. 90 percent of the chairs were empty but had someone’s stuff on them. Shouldn’t be allowed to just hold chairs you aren’t using.

I was debating the Ritz which is the sister resort but with kids proximity to pools was better at the JW.

Everything was great resort wise. However, at the whisper Creek farm restaurant inside the JW Marriott service was super slow. I even made a reservation days ahead for 16 people so they would be prepared and they were not. It was a birthday dinner, so somewhat of a special event. Also, some of the food was overcooked, and some of it was undercooked. One table didn’t even get a refill of water. I emailed the concierge about this issue. I even wrote I’m not expecting anything in return and they still have not replied to me. They made us put a credit card down and told us if a person doesn’t show up. It is $25 charge for each person. I had my 16 people which was the agreement, but they could not handle that amount I guess.

I really enjoyed how friendly everybody was. And customer service was top notch. Our TV kept breaking, and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it, so that was a pain.

We loved the resort and all the activities—from the pool and slides to the nature walks. It was a great experience overall! The only things we’d suggest improving are the beds, which could use an update, and the water pressure in the shower, which was a bit weak.

Overall a wonderful experience, as it should be as much as it cost. I would think at over $1000 per night, you could get a free cup of coffee somewhere but unfortunately not. The grounds were beautiful and the pool was lovely, however some kids act like they never seen water before, I guess this is the case anywhere but I thought for the price, people would make their kids behave. Only complaint with the room was the hot water fluctuated every shower.

This is our 2nd visit to The JW Grand Lakes & we love it. The Breakfast Buffet at Citron is very pricey, but very good! We love the lazy river & the water slides. We will be back!

Excellent hotel, we have been several times. One thing spoilt this visit , we arrived after a 9 hour flight, we wanted enjoy the facilities but , the safe wouldn’t work. We called housekeeping, my husband told them the battery needed replacing, a lady came and said the battery needed replacing, she said she would send someone, we waited 20mins, no one came I had tried to phone downstairs,nobody answered, went personally downstairs,, they sent someone who didn’t have a battery! He went for a battery 40 minutes to get a battery. Not what we expected at the Marriott,

Property is always really nicely maintained. The restaurants were amazing! Just be aware it's a family friendly resort with lots of children. If that is an issue for you, then you can always use the Ritz pool which we found had a lot less kids.

This is our first time staying here, because of all the height of being connected to the Ritz I was really excited. I was here on the weekend. My son was participating in the special Olympics so I thought we would have some fun me and my husband and my three children. The staff was very kind and the facilities at the pool were wonderful. However, the water was extremely hot. It was 96° this weekend and everyone complained about how the water was literally the opposite of refreshing because I checked in and had three kids I thought that they would tell me of any activities going on the weekend. There was no display of activities participating so we went to downtown Disney one evening. I heard that I miss a humongous amazing firework show that happens on the weekends here there is not a schedule posted anywhere and the one they have is outdated that is on mobile screen in a hallway off the beaten path. I was really disappointed. We missed something so great. My television hardly worked in the morning for cartoons for the kids. It went in and out of service nonstop. We checked in on a Thursday and decided to sit next to the waterslides. There was no wait staff near us. We had to go fetch someone down, we waited over an hour And we weren’t aware there was a miniature waterpark feature that only opens on the weekends thank goodness we noticed they were able to participate in an hour before we left. The food $ staff were great - I just wish there had been more communication .
