Hotel Landy Orlando Universal Blvd., a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

The only thing and it’s not something you don’t encounter in other hotels was the stain on the carpet, and the AC unit not working properly. Overall this is a nice property and l would definitely come back. It has all the amenities that help a vacation become a memorable experience.

This was my second time staying at Hotel Landy and it was just as great as it was the first time! All the employees there were so helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend getting the breakfast package, all the food I had there was amazing! Outdoor activities like pingpong and cornhole were so fun, and when it gets too hot the pool and hot tub were very refreshing! 5 minutes from Universal. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Orlando, Florida!

It was honestly a bit of a poor experience due to several flaws, starting from the warm lobby level, then the TV remote in the room did not work whatsoever. Half the towels in the room were also stained and I had to request a new set. On my last evening, I walk into my warm bedroom with confusion as to why it would all of a sudden feel that way and noticed the vent was blowing almost warm air while the thermostat was set to 64. This also happened to be on the same day housekeeping came into the room. On our last day, housekeeping also knocked on our door twice before checkout time (11:00am) and made us feel rushed.

For around $300 a night, this was absolutely not worth it. The hotel may look nice in the common areas, but the room quality, cleanliness, and comfort were extremely disappointing.

The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area is small and not well supervised or maintained. The a/c worked perfectly in the room but the rest of the hotel was very warm.

nice breakfast menu. Was disappointed they didnt have any of the major tv channels (abc, nbc, cbs) as I couldnt watch the pga championship while there.

Hotel explained upon check in that I would be charged $100 for the first nights incidentals then $50 dollars the next night for a total of $150 worth of incidentals no problem I said then woke up the second day with $650 charged in holds and they charge $35 per day for an open parking lot with next to no security just a few cameras.

We liked how it was close to events and attractions. The first desk lady was very welcoming and nice. Many things were in construction. The a/c wasn’t working and was being worked on our whole stay. Which can make any stay in Fl very uncomfortable.

Clean, but not as well kept as the pictures. Definitely some wear and tear to the property but the location was great, convenient, and staff was very kind. Pool and hot tub were amazing and quiet.

Pool area was so so nice. very clean space and rarely busy. loved the heated pool. the tender Steven at the bar truck was very kind and welcoming. Overall would stay again when we visit Orlando in the future!!

Honestly, the sheets weren’t clean. I couldn’t stop sneezing because the vents were dusty, excessively dusty to say the least the toilet was working on and off throughout my stay I thought it was clogged, but then it wasn’t but then it was flooded frequently and under two minutes.

The hotel was a little dated but in a very convenient location. We didn’t get to try out the pool so can’t comment on that. The shuttle to universal is a great feature and the on site shop is good when you need a drink in the night. We upgraded to a junior suite which was very spacious. Overall a very nice stay.

Hotel was close to everything. We had a king size suite and the room was a good size. For being a suite it didn’t have a microwave but you have to ask for it. I didn’t know until I asked on last night of stay, if there’s a microwave somewhere in the hotel. All because I wanted to warm up my steak. Pool was clean and well kept. Staff was wonderful!

If you are planning on coming during late spring to early summer there will be a lot of construction going on so be prepared for that. Due to construction we were not able to use the game room. There were a lot of raccoons in the parking at night so beware when you are going to your car after sunset. Otherwise ai can tell it is a very beautiful hotel when not under construction. General King sized bed room was very spacious and comfortable for two adults. Bathrooms were clean. cleaning staff did a phenomenal job and cleaned very thoroughly and changed towels. Overall a good stay.

The property’s lobby was beautiful . However the property is currently under construction , so it was a little dusty and I was very underwhelmed at their Junior Suite that I booked . The pictures and the way the hotel looks in person did not match up.

We reserved a two room suite. When we got there, they said the room was no longer available. They downgraded us to a handicap room, same room rate.

I found the hotel to be mid. It was clean. There was construction that was loud. There was a room next to us being loud and the front desk couldn’t move us. This is an inexpensive hotel close to universal. That’s it. If you want higher end, this place is not for you. I would probably stay here again after construction is complete and if I was only doing universal parks.

Definitely was disappointed that I had to wait over two hours for a room to be available after check-in. We tried to check in early. They told us a room was available but we had a $35 fee. We didn’t want to pay that fee however when we came back at our proper check-in time at 4 PM, we weren’t able to get a room until around 6 PM and we were waiting inside of the lobby and that really dented our day in Orlando for our first day but other than that, everything was great and amazing

The hotel was beautiful. The stage great. The food good and a bit expensive but you're in Orlando so to be expected. Honestly the room bathroom was the biggest complaint. No fan in the bathroom and you has to flush the toilet twice just get to get everything down.

Super clean and great place to stay honestly! We really enjoyed our time at Landy. 4.5 out of 5 stars though only because the parking was hard to understand? We went down to the desk to make sure we were scanning the right code and understanding everything correctly and there was other people standing in line at the desk with the same questions and confusion with the way they do their parking.

I would definitely recommend this hotel when staying in the Orlando area. Good people and lots of fun! When not scoping out the nearby attractions it's a great place to be!

I actually loved the location of this property. Has a shuttle to Universal, drops you off right at the entrance. The only thing I didn’t like was the white shower curtains in the room that smells like urine. The bathroom should have been cleaner. Staff was amazing.

This property is beautiful at first glance, there are a few minor things we didn't like. The rooms have the type of AC system that does not stay on, no matter what setting you put on the thermostat. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The parking at the hotel is not free, you have to pay for each night. The location is good, the design of the hotel is beautiful. A more pricey option, so you can find better choices along International Drive.

We stayed in a corner suite room expecting privacy from other rooms as this is the experience at other hotels in the area but we could hear our neighbors very clearly through the wall. The room was clean and AC was loud but kept the room cool. There was a Bluetooth speaker in the room but it died after 20 minutes and there wasn’t a charger for it.

Room was tidy. The layout of the Junior suite was great, cozy. The room we selected was supposed to have a view but we had a dirty roof of a section of the hotel as our view. Water refills on every floor were fabulous convenience. Breakfast was a long wait for food to arrive to our tables. The bar was closed well before 10 pm which was an inconvenience. The pool was advertised as heated but was not heated while we stayed.

They were doing construction on the lobby and we had to change rooms because the a/c was not working, had to ask for more toilet paper because they only gave us 2 rolls and it was a 4 day trip, other than that not too bad

Two night stop over in Orlando. Be dry convenient location. The hotel was very well kept and entertainment and facilities were on point. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Absolutely loved it. Only downfall was that the TV volume was set to a minimum of 10, which was quite loud for going to sleep. Highly recommend.

The staff at this hotel was extraordinary. They were all incredibly friendly and helpful. There was a lot of construction going on on my floor, unfortunately, but the kindness and healthfulness of the staff was so greatly appreciated.

Staff was friendly - Owen was a big help when my iphone froze. He helped me get it up and running again..phew. I arrived on a chilly afternoon and they had hot coco at check-in! The room was clean, comfortable with up to date furnitionings. The HVAC was loud and seemed to have one speed which blew air right onto the bed. My room opened into the 2nd floor large foyer, close to the game room. This must be a gathering spot for people - cheer teams, bball team, volleyball teams. People congregated out there late into the night. I had to call the front desk twice to request someone ask people to quiet down. This hotel is a Universal Partner and they offer 4 free, prescheduled morning shuttles to Univ Studios or Epic, but you must reserve a spot on the bus in person he day before you want to ride for the morning you want to ride (7:15, 8:25, 9:35, 10:45 to City Walk / 8am, 9:25, 10:50, 12:15 to EPIC). The Universal desk is right in the hotel front foyer. The bus driver checks your name, so you can't just hop on. In the afternoon, there are also 4 set times to return to Hotel Landy which do not require a reservation to ride (from City Walk or EPIC = 5:20, 6:40, 8pm, 9:20).

Our family loves the Landy! It was my son’s 12th birthday and he specifically asked to stay here! Game Room, Food, Drinks and the little mini store with the Starbucks is all top notch! Looking forward to our next stay!

I called the lobby right away to request a room change due to the cleanliness issues. I was informed that the hotel was at full capacity and that they were unable to move us, but someone would come in the morning to properly clean the room. When I returned later the next day, the bathroom was still dirty. The hair in the bathroom was in the exact same spot as when I first arrived, which clearly indicates that the room was not cleaned properly as promised. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of cleanliness and follow-through. This experience did not meet basic hospitality standards, and unfortunately, it left a very negative impression.

When we were able to check in, our room wasn’t ready so they competed us with an upgrade, one room was a king size bedroom. The other was a king size suite. Beautiful rooms, very clean and beds were very comfortable. Throughout our stay we wanted to go to the pool as much as we could. The pool area was very disappointing. It says online that the pool is heated, and same with the hot tub. Also that the sip and snack snack is open daily…. To our surprise, none of that is true. The pool & hot tub were freezing cold not even like warm. That was very disappointing. Our group and several others complained to the front desk, they said maintenance was working on it. This was our second day, we were there for 5 days. It wasn’t fixed the whole time we were there. Went up to the sip and snack shack to at least get some drinks and food. It was closed. Out of all the days we were there, it was open two times, a couple hours each time. When it was time to check out, everything went smooth, the staff was very kind and nice. I got home and a couple days later got a charge to my card saying I paid extra for the room upgrade. It was supposed to be complementary. Called them and sorted it out, got my money back for the extra charge. Other than that, great location, friendly staff, and nice rooms. Would stay there again if they had the pool and hot tub heater working. And the sip and snack shack was open.

Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We stayed in a recently renovated room, which was nicely appointed. The beds were very comfy and they had several pillows with varying firmness. The pool and spa were clean and had plenty of lounging space available. The outdoor space and available games were great. There was a nice bar with a great variety of options. I used the coffee shop daily. I only have one negative comment - the info provided on the website regarding shuttle to Universal Studios is misleading and should be updated. While there is a shuttle, arrangements must be made in advance and the availability is very limited.

During my stay the hotel had experienced water damage that causes rooms that were booked to be not available. the hotel did offer free parking to help with the inconvenience. The hotel room didn't have microwaves and my grandparents room didn't have heat until they moved them to another floor the last two days of our trip. The hotel doesn't have vegetarian options for lunch which was an disappointment. Also house keeping doesn't leave toilet paper or tissues. Staff was friendly but they need a little work.

The food and staff were excellent.

Service was excellent. We called for various requests to our room during our 8 night stay and they didnt hesitate to accommodate our requests. They also have a lot of cool anemities like a starbucks on the main floor, arcade, bar to relax in and a little shop for your necessities. Amazing experience, will hopefully be staying there in the future.

I had to ask for bedding for the sofa bed in the jr suite. And the blanket was so skimpy, I ask for another. Also, the pool was not heated at all the night of the 24th. Completely unable to use.

Sadly they listed a shuttle service for the parks but it was not through their hotel but an outside service you have to sign up for two days in advance and their return trips were only offered at 3:45 pm and 6:45 pm, hours before the parks actually close.

Excellent hotel. Great staff. Very fancy hotel. It’s improved over the years. Just a really nice place. I’ve been coming here for years but this time, it’s changed for the better. It’s always been a great place but seriously so incredible.

We have to pay for the parking and early check in (20 Minutes out only). The use to have free breakfast and now we have to paid for it! I lot of things change from last year.

We enjoyed our stay at Landy Hotel! Staff was very attentive. We went with our baby and every day room was cleaned, no smelly diapers! Madeline, cleaning lady was very nice. In addition, breakfast was really good, and best one we’ve had at any stay. Staff at the breakfast place was also very nice, attentive, and polite. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s in our to go back list when we come back to Orlando!

tv didn't work, blow dryer didn't work either. The AC unit was very loud and the door to the AC closet kept swinging open when it kicked on.

The one I will say is that they are under construction so maybe that was the hiccup.

There was no AC, no water, and the lobby flooded from a pipe burst. We didn’t even stay the night and we left around 8pm.

walked in to check in and water was starting to trickle from the ceiling lights. before we could even check-in, the lobby and main area started to FLOOD from the increase in the amount of water coming out. we were also told no AC in guest rooms and no water in the rooms either. cancelled before we checked in.

When we showed up Friday evening we checked in easily and quickly and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The room was clean and spacious. Off to a great start. Things took a turn Saturday when our AC stopped working; we noticed the side of the parking lot we were on started flooding due to the surge of water from inside the hotel somewhere to the lot; when we went back inside we realized the water was not just an outside issue but a whole second floor issue as the ceiling on the first floor was down pouring. They also chose to do very loud very inconvenient renovations to the hotel on a busy Saturday? Including putting up framing and drywall and cutting out archways all in the lobby and lobby bar. This made the amenity of the lobby bar off limits simply due to noise and dust. When my husband went to tell someone about the error message on the AC in our room he was quickly dismissed with staff stating they knew and were working on it (with no apology or estimated time line). The hotel was decently located and priced for what we needed but there was also a lot of inconvenience and chaos.

I requested an iron and it never came. Pool is nice but more beach chairs would be nice on the grass area. Over all, clean hotel, they have Starbucks which is nice, since. Staff are professional and helpful. Hotel is clean.

Parking per night is $35 which is a bit steep for those on a budget, JUST FYI. There is also construction going on and dehumidifiers everywhere but they do not affect your stay at all! The only issues I have had are very minor: 1. There was loud music with bass that reverberated thru my room on the first night (couldn’t figure out where it was coming from) but the person at the front desk helped without issue. 2. There was mold on some of my bathroom towels (I was given new towels). 3. The bathroom has a scent of cat urine but it comes and goes (unsure if it is mold related). I’m allergic to mold but haven’t had any allergic reactions thus far but have taken Zyrtec throughout stay. 4. The door to the a/c closet in my room kept rattling so I had to put a chair up against it to keep it from rattling. 5. The far right side of the blackout curtains do not adhere to the wall as the sticky part needs to replaced, so there is light coming in. 6. The candy bar isn’t fully stocked. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! I do recommend this hotel, but bring earplugs, a sound machine, and an eye mask just in case! :)

I arrived for a 3 night stay….when I arrived Thursday, they notified me that the a/c was out and they were doing renovations. However, I never received an email previously or even the day of stating this. It eventually came on at 2am Friday morning. However, the trip was amazing overall. I went to universal Saturday and even though it rained quite a bit, personally it was a really good day! And I love Hotel Landy! Definitely recommend!

staff was phenomenal from the moment we walked in until we checked out… but we unfortunately had a horrible horrible experience. we went up into our first room, there was a man laying in our bed.. we went to the front desk and explained what happened, they switched us to the second room.. when we got there and it wasn’t the same as we requested.. went back down and requested another room and when we got there, the bathroom was filthy.. went back down and complained.. they said someone would come up to clean for us (mind you this was already at midnight) we waiting for over an hour and no one came….

Good breakfast options, comfy rooms, bathrooms a bit small but decent enough! Requested a microwave to get brought up a dirty and greasy microwave on the inside and the revolving plate didn’t even fit correctly, but we were still able to use it for our left overs after cleaning it a bit. Room phone was broken so when the engineer came up he couldn’t fix it, I had to call the front desk from my cellphone and it wasn’t a necessity to have it working it was just a bit of extra work to get someone on the phone. They could have switched it from an empty room instead of just leaving the dead phone plugged in. Walls are pretty thin I heard my neighbors and people outside very clearly in the middle of the night more times that not. Other wise I would say it was still an ok hotel to stay in and it was so close to universal it made it super easy and super cheap Ubers to and from!

Very nice property. The only negative I can say is the nightly parking fee of $35 plus daily destination fee of $15 added to the nightly costs adds $54.72 to your daily room charge... I’ve never seen a destination fee added every single day of your stay.

Easy check in, great parking, near everything you want or need. The pool area and hot tub are a great area to relax after being at the parks all day. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were great! Definitely the new spot to stay when I'm in Orlando.

I liked the hotel. It's very close to Epic universe. I didn't like that I was charged $35 per night for self parking, and a $15 resort fee to get a $15 credit per night that could only be used once per day, That was not mentioned when we arrived. I had three different explanations from three different people.

The room was spacious, clean and quiet. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

It was great until check out. When checking out, I asked a question regarding the $15 dollar credit to the front desk and the receptionist was rude. Did not say good morning or nothing nice like in other hotels.

Hotel cleanliness was average, game room AC was broken so couldn’t go in there. $35 parking fee DAILY added to a hotel you’re staying at.. weird. So in summary, stayed, won’t stay again.

Everything at the hotel was beautiful, and the ambiance was truly enjoyable. However, I wished there were more amenities available during our stay. For instance, Starbucks closed early, and we had to wait two hours for the bar to open. This made it challenging to find drinks or food in the meantime. Additionally, there were no vending machines in the hotel, which would have been a convenient option. Overall, I loved my experience, but more accessibility to amenities would have made it even better.

The hotel looks like a brand new, the main entrance and rooms smell really good, great beds and pillows, beautiful view, excellent breakfast I recommend the Benedict eggs just one thing that I didn't like was that we had to pay $35 to allow us to park on the parking lot of the hotel

I do not recommend staying at Hotel Landy. Cleanliness standards were extremely poor: the carpet was dirty, and the room was infested with ants. In addition, I was charged unexpected extra fees that were not made clear at the time of booking. Overall, this was a very disappointing and unpleasant experience.

We’re were checked in by Tasj at the front desk she was very helpful.We checked in early and our room wasn’t available but she was able to switch our room type so we would be able to check in. Steven made us great pina coladas. While we were at the pool we were greeted by Liz, struck up a convo and she was very friendly. We weren’t in the room much as we were here for a quick weekend getaway but they were clean and spacious. Bonus it was great location- was super close to universal studios and they provide a shuttle to the park. Would stay again and would recommend.

Best value we’ve seen in a long time for a theme park area hotel. Clean spacious rooms (we had 2) with a tub!! Friendly staff. Crisply cleaned. Glad we followed previous reviews to find this gem. Only drawback was the limited shuttle to Universal. But resolved with a $12 Uber ride.

Very clean and quiet. Breakfast isn’t included and I’ll say 16+ for a sandwich w hashbrowns for example. It doesn’t tell you , that you have to pay for parking . Parking is $35 per day .

Stay itself was pretty good, aside from the first day with the ac being broken, but things happen. The one thing I really didn't like though is the shuttle service is worthless if you like getting to the park early and staying late. The times for the shuttle are not great.

AC inconsistent throughout the whole building. The hallways are so hot. I was excited about the arcade until i stepped in there and realized why it was empty, so humid in there! And the games arent free. The cute outdoor plaza area with the heavily promoted lemonade food truck/bar—didnt see it open once in a 4 day stay. TVs are not smart tvs. No netflix or casting capabilities or HDMI cable at least. Room had a smell and also inconsistent AC.

Staff was amazing. Did have problems with AC but they quickly moved us to another room. The other room did have a few sugar ants in it but we stayed for a night, so it wasn’t a big deal.

Hotel Landy is a genuinely soft place to land. The hotel is fresh, and the rooms are very clean. We enjoyed our view over the pool and the staff made every moment top notch.

Short stay and a beautiful family friendly hotel. Everyone was so nice and helpful! Close to all the parks with a shuttle service offered as well. Only tiny thing we noticed were the towels did leave us with white floof bits on our skin

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! The atmosphere was incredible, everything was spotless, and the rooms were very spacious. I also loved that it’s right in the heart of Orlando, surrounded by plenty of shops and attractions. 10/10 experience!

The hotel is close to Epic Universe (5 mins drive) it is also a 5 minute drive to Topgolf, and the racekart arcade. Overall, good stay.

Bugs everywhere upon check in, paid $35 to park. Never again. Ick

The stay way okay, got greeted by a roach in the hallway on our way out the room. Got charges on my card that were different from my invoice but it has been impossible to get in contact with the hotel. Customer service email bounced and when I call I just get placed on hold forever.

Housekeeping was also poor—I had to call multiple times to get the room serviced. I raised the issue with Expedia (got a case number), but no action was taken. We ended up eating outside despite having paid for breakfast. Overall, the hotel seems to rely on its Universal location and neglects service quality. This was the worst Hilton experience I've had, especially frustrating while traveling with family. I do not recommend staying here, especially if you're with family or have dietary needs.

Food was amazing at the bar. The gracious host at the counter was absolutely fabulous!! She made us feel welcoming and offered free drinks and discounts. Bed was comfortable, atmosphere extremely pleasant. Nice pool area. Highly recommend!!

This is a really nice hotel at a reasonable price, centrally located. They have free shuttles to Univeral and Disney, but not Sea World. Parking is $35 a day. Great location for easy access to restaurants and other attractions like Ripley's and Wonder Works. We loved the general feel of the hotel, and enjoyed the glass elevators in the Atrium section. There are nearby elevators that are fully enclosed for those that don't like the glass type.

Was a wonderful surprise to learn it is a Marriott property! Our room was extremely spacious and comfortable! Enjoyed the pool, Liquid Sunshine mobile and bar! Nice respite after 3 days at Fort Wilderness with our grandchildren and before a Disney cruise with them! Many thanks for a lovely couple of days!

The food here is slightly pricey. The customer service was excellent we originally got a room where the AC wasn’t working and they did try to fix but ultimately ended up giving us a new room. The bed was very comfortable for a hotel. Outside at the pool area is very cute

Everything was good, however, I recommend you see to the regular changing of shower gel containers.

Only downside is the parking situation

At check-in, the clerk was very unwelcoming! Not sure how many rooms there are in this particular hotel but 2 elevators not working just made a for a really long wait to get to the 12th floor. Front doors were also not functioning. Been staying at this location for over 15 years since it was a Crown Plaza an is not the same. Will not be booking next year.

We give landy hotel a 10 out of 10 the people are amazing and friendly. The room was clean and the view was great the food was great and the drinks kicked ass. The only bad thing I can say is the WiFi really needed work.

The room didn’t come with a microwave you would have to request one. The lighting in the room was minimum. The elevators moved very slow when requested. Taking the stairs was faster. Other than that the hotel itself was nice.

I did not like that I had to ask for extra or clean towels every day, and I did not like that only 2 elevators were working for such a busy and packed hotel, house keeping needs to be on top of making sure enough towels are packed in rooms at all times, and I don’t like the $15 a day charge, if you your going to charge me daily, provide breakfast then and drinks are too expensive.

We really enjoyed ourselves here. Even though it was a short stay we loved it so much. We can’t wait to come back next year.

We stayed here for an AAU basketball tourney. Just 5 minutes away from Orange County Convention Center (where the games were) and the hotel had everything these boys needed when they had down time; great large pool, ping pong tables, game room and gym for the parents. Great hotel, for the $, for us and we’ve traveled all summer staying at plenty of hotels. Only issue for us AAU sports travelers is often scheduled change and our games got over early. Hotels.com and Hotel Landy wouldn’t refund us if we left town early. That was a bummer and the hotel clearly had plenty of business. So lost money on that since we got done early and had to change flights out of town.

Our family recently enjoyed a vacation here and had a wonderful experience. The vibrant decor of the hotel created a cheerful atmosphere, and the outdoor areas were perfect for spending quality time together. My children especially loved the pool, and my daughter had a great time in the game room. The staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
