arrived at 4 am for a late checkin after a long drive expecting to shower and rest. not only was i unable to do that, the late check in was done with security which i understood, he said i had to wait until the office opened at 7 am which I did, i asked for a room swap which i was informed all rooms was sold out, that i would have to wait for house keeping but never specified a time, i even asked for fresh linen and blanket to do that part myself, she said again i had to wait for house keeping. by 10 am I was beyond exhausted and went back to the office ask to check out when i had booked for the weekend. I was denied a refund for a room that was not even ready to be rented out. Not only that, the room have no towels or toilet paper. It was not ready at all. See pics of what I walked into.

There is a horrible woman in the office that has been nasty to me on several occasions over the last few months. Never again will I stay at this location because of her. I highly recommend the Casselberry location if you are coming to the orlando area.

I stayed here for one night room was very comfortable clean. The staff was friendly courteous definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a decent hotel with good price.

Roach motel!!! Was very disappointed in my stay that was excited about for my beauty conference. Dirty room with trash under the bed, counters not properly cleaned, roaches, toilet not working and no waste basket. Talked to someone the next day and was told they'll try to find someone on maintenance in the next day or 2 to look into the toilet situation. As for the waste basket, was gold it was on back stock and they didn't work at that property but knows the manager and will try to get a message across. When I checked out today, spoke to manager Taj and was super kind but disappointed that he wasn't informed on any of the issues at hand and sad I had such a bad experience for my 4 day stay.

The first room was disgusting. Bugs, stained/unclean sheets and dirty mattress. After transferring to a second room it was the same situation. We were finally transferred to a third room and it was safe to sleep in at first woke up to roaches. Staff were very helpful and delightful. Never stay here unless you like dirty sheets to sleep in and “friends” to take home with you.

The booking said this was a smoke-free property, but the room smelled strongly like cigarette smoke. I could not sleep well because of the smell, and it triggered my allergies. This was very disappointing.

Do NOT stay here, not recommed at all. Overall the room was in bad condition. It was infected with small roaches. The bathroom looked like a crime scene took place there. The shower was stained, the floor was dirty, the room didn't smell clean, one of the pillows had a funky smell.

I've stayed in many places including cheap motels, but this one was the worst by far. One would expect a place by Red Roof Inn would be decent, this wasn't a $20-30 a night stay either. Just horribly disappointed with this place, staff was incredibly rude. Other reviews said they had cockroaches and it doesn't surprise me given how dirty this place was. They we're doing some "remodeling" a room over at 6-7am when one is trying to sleep, drills and hammering going off. Again, take your money elsewhere or sleep in your car, but DO NOT STAY HERE.

The rooms was not what was posted on the website they are very small and poorly furnished the staff was very rude and nasty and they took most of my deposit because I wanted to check out and at first would not give me a deposit

The first room we were assigned to didn't have working lights or smoke detector, there wasn't a TV remote and there are no room amenities such as a coffee maker, it's not really a hotel it's basically a place we're homeless people can rent for a low weekly rate, we chose it for the location to the parks but next time id rather pay more and drive a bit further to get a decent room, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, there's a lot of shady people who live on property and it didn't feel safe

The hotel and room looked nothing like the pictures online. I stayed in room 224 and it was absolutely disgusting. It didn’t look like it was cleaned from the previous person staying there. There were still spilt stains on the floor. The doors were dirty and no longer white. There were roaches crawling everywhere. The whole tub was not usable because one there was no shower curtain and two you needed to wear shoes to even shower because the paint and everything was coming off and peeling from the tub.

I would not recommend. This stay was a traumatizing stay. The room reeked of cigarette smell (I thought it was no smoking)… the ac does not work well, as it goes in and out. There was a permanent poop stain in the toilet. The sheets, the bed was very itchy. It was a very unpleasant stay. You can hear the neighbors right through the wall. I could not sleep well (the ac turning off, plus the itchy sheets kept waking me up) 😭😭😭 0 star, spend the extra bucks and stay somewhere else guysssss 😭😭😭😭 the staff however was sweet, but other than that, very horrible stay 😭😭😭😭😭 ahhhhhh

The first room we were assigned, 246, was wide open once we walked in front of the door. It looked like someone tried to dismantle the stove and room service never cleaned the room. The second room we were assigned, 104, the microwave did not work, the shower didn’t have a curtain, and I saw two bugs and got a photo of one of them trying to run away. I don’t understand why they are requiring a deposit of 100 dollars if they aren’t using the deposit to fix anything that the guest (or homeless people who are getting into the rooms apparently) are breaking. This stay was horrible and nothing was as advertised. We paid for travel insurance through Expedia. We are trying to get our deposit back and a full refund.

Roaches, roaches, roaches. The first room they put me in did not even have a light in the bathroom and there were roaches in there too. The second room was supposed to be “renovated“ room. It literally had the most roaches I ever seen your room in my life. On Saturday I went to the front desk to tell that person that I would need a late checkout on Sunday she said they would charge me $20. On Sunday I had somebody come be on the door like they were the police a big black man basically the maintenance man and I told him I had a late checkout. Next the little short Spanish girl with the glasses on come upstairs with a attitude asking all kind of questions and I told her I had a late checkout then she says well can you be gone in the next 10 minutes? I said no I said, but I’ll be gone. She said well I have to charge you $25. I said OK charge the $20 then she said no you know what I’m not gonna charge the $20 and the next thing I know this person calls police.

The lights and outlets by the bed didn't work. The floor was cleaned, but had a residue all over it. The shower head was leaking. The place needs remodeling. It's pretty rough.

When we first got there we had to wait a very long time to get checked in and then when we finally did they gave us keys to someone else room and a pitbull charged us. Whenever we finally got into our room there were roaches everywhere, the floors were dirty, bathroom wasn’t clean, no trash can, the ac unit was hanging off the wall. We had to go back to the office 3 different times because are keys would just stop working. They gave a parking violation but never even gave us a parking pass. Overall probably the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

If your plan is to travel with your family this is not the place… this hotel is by far the most scary hotel I’ve ever seen. People outside their rooms smoking, open doors and weird looking people everywhere. Not a place to go in vacation. Just a big cheap motel. Dirty floors. A nightmare!! We got a double bed room and they give us a single and once we opened the door we got out of there literally running!

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Room was dirty and old. Room hasn’t had a good cleaning in a while. Shower still had hair from someone else. Shower head was totally gross and had water stains all over it. Kitchen floor had pieces coming up. Cabinet doors were falling off the hinges. Walking around the bedroom floor for 5 minutes with no shoes on and my feet were black. Door to the room wouldn’t even properly close tight and water was coming through the bottom. Bedroom was suppose to be a queen size bed. It was only a full size. Then went to the office to see if we could get 2 more pillows for the bed since it only came with 2 and was told no they didn’t have anymore pillows. And then worst of all saw 5 roaches in the room. Do not stay at this total. It very dirty and need major renovations.

The bed was clean but the floor was slippery and not to be walked on in bare feet. Shower was good, lots of pressure. The pool was full of unattended kids as people live here. There are no outlets that work in the room , the fridge and microwave just gross. Ok for a night sleep that’s it but don’t touch anything.

No toiletries but not an issue for me as I bring my own. A/C was frosty. Smell of weed smoked outside is very unpleasant. It did not come into room.

Front desk lady was awesome, definitely 10/10. But the room was mediocre at best. Sleepable for the night but I'm not going to stay multiple days as a vacation.

The shower was very beaten up, and there was very little water pressure in the room. Took 20 minutes to check in. Overall a nice place though to sleep but wouldn't suggest it to relax in.

Absolutely disgusting. Couldn’t even get into the room cause the door jam had been broken into multiple times so it was hard to get the door open and when I did the door knob came off in my hand! Then they had the audacity to not refund my money after I returned the key within 15 minutes! DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!! And Expedia customer service was bullcrap as well.

I cannot tell you how many roaches there where I mean absolutely everywhere in my shower. 2 dead on my bed I had roaches literally climbing my walls. This place cannot be legal. This is an infestation masquerading as a hotel.

I found the rooms to be infested with roach activity. I was directed to look at four different rooms before settling in, just to turn around the same night and check out. The staff was as helpful as they could be. However the condition of the property was deplorable.

Front desk couldn’t take care of the amount of guests. Roaches in the bathroom. The lock wasn’t working and I waited for more that an hour for they let me get back into my room.

Shower was leaking and toilet was leaking. Bathroom floor was wet because of it and it smelled like mold. Air conditioner had a loud rattling sound that couldn’t be stopped so we had to turn it off so we could sleep - it was hard to hear a normal conversation it was so loud.

As a travel worker I’ve stayed in some pretty bad hotels and dealt with it. But this one takes the cake. The last night I just slept in my car because I woke up to the feeling of cockroaches crawling on me! And the entire time I would see cockroaches crawling around and even in and out of my luggage which caused me to just leave everything in the car. I do not recommend at all. Worst experience ever.

Roaches crawling on the floor and walls. Room was dirty and smelled like weed. People very clearly not in their right mind roaming around outside at night. DO NOT bring children there. I checked out the morning after I got there and was supposed to stay a week. The manager left me checked in for the entire stay so she could keep my money. Don’t stay here.

Would not recommend staying here. While the staff was friendly and did the best they could, the room conditions are fine at first glance but slowly turned out to be a stressful stay. Upon first entry, the smoke alarm wouldn’t stop chirping every 2 min. Turns out there was no battery in it and that was fixed but after hours of waiting. The biggest issue was that the shower didn’t work in our room and after contacting the front desk about it they acknowledged the issue but there was no sense of urgency. Nothing happened until we contacted them again and were told a part needed to come in and that it would be fixed the next morning. It was never fixed for the remainder of our stay. We then saw bugs in the room including roaches, got a parking violation for backing into a spot? And our key cards would randomly stop working requiring us to have to go to the front desk and get them reactivated. The only pros of the room were the AC, TV, and large refrigerator/freezer. Other than that the experience of staying here stressed us out and i would not recommend staying here if relaxing or showering is your goal.

There is something special happening here at Hometowne Studios South! Consistently, the managers have hired a staff that is beyond sublime working overtime to make this more than just a hotel and an extended stay facility. I must once again thank the amazing and loving Sandy, who makes it her job to make you feel more than just a customer. She touches your heart and soul and is truly spectacular as is Latoya, who is just so gracious and humane and Jorge who engages with his warmth and Janetta who made sure from day one that I could complete the work I came here to do. Thank you all! And a final thanks to manager Marta and her bosses too for creating such a love-in. Yes, The rooms are great but the people, even better!! You have all gone BEYOND in your care and blessed are those who get to come here and bathe in it! And yes…..I’m back!xx

I can't believe Expedia has this hotel on their site. I trusted them until this experience. I will from now on book on other sites. This hotel is cockroach infested. They were everywhere it was disgusting. The outside of the premises has trash everywhere and the inside of the room was disgusting. The refrigerator looked so disgusting I was afraid to put any food in there. The sink was clogged and the bathroom looked like it had t been cleaned. The staff was very kind. Security after hours was very sweet. The room smelled bad. There were roaches. The bathroom was dirty. There was food in the cabinet. The bed was horrible. There was a plastic bag over the sprinkler system and no fire alarm. It had been physically removed. Check in after 11pm is horrible.

We were forced to leave it partially closed because it would not secure properly. Our personal belongings had to stay in the car because we were afraid someone could enter the room and steal our items. Staff came multiple times attempting to fix the door, but they never resolved the issue. For five days, we were unable to safely leave the room to go to the grocery store or anywhere else without worrying about our belongings. When I asked for a different room, they said none were available. When I requested a refund so I could relocate my family to another hotel, they dismissed the request and responded sarcastically: “If you want, you can check out now.” We had just checked in. This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. If you value safety and basic respect, I do not recommend staying here.

Terrible bed , the room hove bugs, many ex-convict lives in this place. There's a strong smell of marijuana. The spring mattress is broken. Police are constantly checking this hotel. The pool doesn't work and the water is very dirty. The only good thing was our experience at Disney World; the rest was terrible, terrible, and terrible.

Worst experience ever. The room was infested with cockroaches, making it impossible to stay. When we requested a refund for the night we couldn't spend there, management refused. To make matters worse, the manager claimed they had informed us about the infestation beforehand, which is completely false. Instead of offering a solution, she threatened to call the police to force us out.

However, I am willing to accept that HomeTowne Suites is like all of us actually. Some days are better than others. Sometimes things just do not work out. I reached bit late around 11.30 as service desk closes around 11.00 PM. Security guard have the keys and didnt have any other choice but to leave it due to these conditions. Very quite staff seemed to be very aware of the surrounding and helpful when needed.

Room was roach infested,had to move to rooms twice due to conditions of the rooms, the last one I was offered was clean no bugs but because it was a short stay and àlot of hotels were booked ( July 4th weekend ) I kept it but all in all the presentation on the outside of the hotel was ok but soon as you see your room it was horrible... Needs renovating and they could do better. My fiance took videos and pictures I just don't have it at the moment

The building looks new from the outside but the inside is old, decrepit and dirty. The mattress must be as old as the building and the AC unit was right next to my hear humming loudly all night. Unable to sleep well and was not brave enough to take a shower. Worst hotel/motel I have ever visited - and I've visited hundreds.

It looked old rusted and roach stop crawling out of it. I went down and he sent me to another room hollering that one was way better. LOVED this place. Hometowne IS a home thanks to its general manager Thomas who is the absolute BEST manager I’ve ever come across in my travels. He’s a WOW! He makes sure your every need is taken care of because he really cares and is so knowledgeable as well. A rare combination in the hotel industry!! This place was so well run because of him! Hometowne treats each person with such respect and the rooms are immaculate, the prices, great, and the whole vibe,just so peaceful and welcoming. Wow it was dirty! The lobby had the desk clerks children camped out plus her friend there were dirty food plates and wrappers on the counter and floors, I tripped over someones shoes on the way in to the lobby. Then the room was dank and dirty after being there a bit we noticed bugs, cockroaches all over in varying stages and size from babies to massive ones. The walls were filthy and the bathtub was stained. I'd very much like to speak to management about this , I have pictures of all of this.

When I got into the room I immediately saw multiple roaches ! There was a dead one on the floor right when you walked in, one crawling across the wall and multiple on the AC unit. There was also a black powdery substance on the bed and I'm not sure what that was. I immediately called and asked for a refund, and left the property within 15 mins of arriving. The front desk staff I spoke with were all very nice. The bed was amazingly comfortable as well as the pillows. My feet were black from being barefoot on the hardwood floors. Roaches in the freezer (alive). Used condom between the sink and wall in the bathroom. Only a single lock on the door. There was an extra latch but no where to connect it. Property very outdated and dingy. There wasn’t even a trash can. People live on property with no courtesy. They were outside all night and loud. Stomping around on the floor above at all hours. At one point it sounded like someone was messing with the door but I didn’t get out of bed to check.

It unusual windy and cold. Temperature dropped to mid 20 at night in Orlando. We checked in the hotel on Monday with AC/Heat conditioner. Starting Wednesday the heat conditioner was down. Hotel manager said 20 rooms had the same problem and the technician would come on weekend. That means no heat for the remaining week. We got extra blankets but still not warm enough. My whole family caught a cold within two days. We finished our vacation on Saturday,leaving Orlando with running noses, sore throat and my son even got a fever after got home.

There was a persistent problem for four days, my entire stay, with cockroaches in my room. I did not eat in the room or store food there. Management was made aware, yet the problem continued each day. I purchased RAID at my own expense and sprayed every day, yet the problem never ceased.

Al ya estar alli te dicen que es para alquilar para hospedarse por mucho tiempo y por eso no te limpian nada ni te dan papel para el baño. Las unicas personas que son amables son los del counter y un boricua que no sabemos su nombre y trabaja para mantenimiento del complejo que son cheveres, las de limpieza son bien malcria.

There is large gaps in the door which lets in outside air, noise, bugs, the bugs left me and my stuff alone so it was more like exploring bugs, scouts and what not, etc Beds were comfortable and AC worked well, tub, shower, sink and fridge all excellent. Area was commercial warehouse area so big truck noises some times during the week at various hours. Somewhat inconvenient to get anywhere (mostly toll roads, highway, and one road for bus access to florida mall, then plenty of options from there including direct line to disney or universal or the airport). Wendy's Burger King and some typical chains near the Florida Mall, no real grocery or such nearby. Overall an alright stay for the price, if you have your own car it's pretty central location to everything.

After staying the first night, there were cockroaches in the room, the doors and shower were dirty, and the room smelled bad. I had a 5-night reservation there, but I decided to leave after the first night. The worst part is that when I asked upon leaving what they would charge me, they said only the first night. However, they are not responding to my messages, and I’ve been charged for the entire stay.

I paid for two nights and three days and only stayed one night, because the floor was sticky and dirty, and there were cockroaches in the bathroom, kitchen and bed.

At check in I had to ask an attendant for a broom to sweep out the room. The AC vent was broken and was completely off the unit laying on the floor in front of it. The dresser drawers were open and could not be closed. I went back to check in and ask for a different room and the attendant did give me another without any problems. He was a nice guy. I was placed in room 137, which was much cleaner. At night I felt something crawling on me and when I turned on the lights and all I saw was roaches having a meeting all over the floor. I was now on edge. I had to endure this for 7 days... It was a first 48 scene. I was on a killing spree. After leaving the room and rentering, I start noticing a awful smell. The place smelled mildew. My clothes that I had in the room had to be tossed out. I am so glad that there were no bed bugs. That ordeal is over now but as God as my witness, I will never recommend anyone to stsy at this place ever...

The hotel is close to everything, they are very helpful with anything you need in your room, pool and laundry room are open 24 hours, the only down fall is that they are picky about the way you park and you always have to have your pass in your car no matter what. Other then that I would stay again and recommend it too.

I had to make it a regular part of my day to stop by the office and ask if things had been repaired. No air conditioning the first day, limited air conditioning the rest of the days and to make matters worse, the maintenance staff would turn up the temperature when they entered the room leaving the unit hot when I arrived back on property and difficult to cool down because it was obviously on it’s last leg and faded like it was 30 or more years old. Many other people were also complaining about their rooms whenever I was at the office. This place is a real dump

In over 50 years, this was the most decrepit hotel I have ever stayed in. If it wasn't so late when we arrived, we would have gone elsewhere, but an Uber dropped us off and we were stuck as we had already paid for it. The person at the desk was nice enough. When going into the room, the door handle fell off. There was a significant flood in the room. I went to the desk and told her and she asked if I wanted towels to clean it up???? No, She said they had no one to do it. Then she said there were no rooms left. I asked if there was a manager. She called him and suddenly there was another room available. We went there. Very dirty. Floor was sticky. Toilet roll holder fell off when pulling toilet paper. Shower head sprayed across room, so we didn't shower. Toilet did not flush right. The covering on cupboards was peeling off. There was more, but you get the idea. We left early the next morning to our final destination - Bonnet Creek - and enjoyed the shower. I have always trusted that Expedia hotels would be suitable. This is the first time that has not been the case.

First they dont clean the rooms, Second roaches everywhere in the rooms you cannot sleep there even in the bed the roaches are. Third dont ask for refund becasuse they won't give it to you. So i recommend never stay in this nasty place. Managements should be change. Four the rooms smell like they smoke inside the rooms. Slept above covers, because the cleanliness of the room was questionable. Saw several bugs, and just overall could have been cleaned better. Grimy, and smelly.

Dirty and bad vibe. Cockroaches in rooms.

It was ok

The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant, but the hotel itself was dirty. I entered my room and the first thing I had to do was call the front desk because it was full of roaches. I got changed to another roomtjat had a super weak AC unit, so it was hot, and the shower onlyhad super hot or super cold water. The location was convenient, but I will never rent a room there again.

property extremely run down, needs improvements and updates, found 2 roaches on the table, bathroom needs to be updated, twin beds had a mattress topper not a mattress. etc

Roaches in the room, tub was just painted and melted away as soon as I started taking a shower, I had paint everywhere.
