Hampton Inn & Suites Orlando/East UCF Area

We stay here regularly since we have a student at UCF. We love that the hotel is set back from the road. It was renovated a couple of years ago and the bedding has been comfortable. Plus, they offer a decent complimentary breakfast. This past weekend we stayed. The first night was extremely uncomfortable. The mattress in Room 212 had no cushion to it and it squeaked every time we rolled over. The next morning I asked the front desk if there was anything they could do (mattress topper or additional mattress pad). Although they would have switched our room, I was hoping for a simpler option. Instead, they offered to send the janitorial staff. The staff never entered the room, did not even complete the routine cleaning. That was disappointing. We ended up putting the comforter under the fitted sheet to soften it up. We had 2 stays booked for the future. We cancelled one so we can try the Courtyard by Marriott across the street. Also, as an FYI, they allow cats and dogs. They do NOT perform any special cleaning after an animal stays in the room, per the front desk (in case you’re allergic to cats).

Location was perfect for UCF campus tour. I just never sleep well away from home.

Everything about this hotel was great. It didn't have that musty hotel smell hotels often get, the breakfast was wonderful, the room was super clean I have zero complaints.

The staff was friendly and professional. The food was great and the location was perfect. I did not like the bathroom. We didn't have a place to hang our toiletries and towels, especially when you had to share it with several people in the suite.

Pool chemicals off and hot tub had sketchy hair n stuff in it and bubbles wouldn’t engage. The room had a very musty smell. My grandson loved the sweet and didn’t want to change rooms and the maids gave me room fresheners. I would stay here for another stay but would not keep the stinky room.

We stayed here for a girls’ trip to attend the Youngblood concert and had a fantastic experience! The room was very clean, and the bed was incredibly soft and cozy—honestly one of the best nights of sleep we’ve had in a hotel. The property was quiet, making it easy to relax and recharge after a fun night out. The shower had excellent water pressure, which was a nice bonus, and breakfast offered a great variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Hotel was extremely clean and comfortable and very conveniently located for my trip. Hampton Inns has never let me down and this one was no exception.

The breakfast was not good. The waffle makers were not cooking the properly so they were undercooked.

the staff was great, but there are a few problems with the rooms themselves that need to be addressed. The bathrooms have no ventilation so when several people shower it becomes very humid in the room. Over the years this has caused an issue with mold in the bathroom of the room we were in. I noticed on our last day that mold was growing behind a piece of peeled up wallpaper, so who knows where else it found to multiply. If you like super firm mattresses you'd love these, I however, do not. beds killed my hips, very much looking forward to my own bed tonight. overall it was a good stay and would recommend if the ventilation issue was addressed.

This is one of the better choices near UCF, and I’ve stayed in several area hotels. The rooms are well appointed, very clean, and breakfast is adequate. The coffee is great and available all day, which is very nice. The pool and jacuzzi were relaxing. I would stay here again.

The breakfast menu was fresh and offered all of the items I have previously experienced at other Hampton properties. Due to our short duration, was unable to avail myeslf of the pool/spa.

The room we stayed in had mold growing in the bathroom. I will ask to see the room first. Mold can cause problems. The rest of the lobby and walking areas were clean. The smell of sewage was in the air. Not sure where from. Overall I give them a three star.

The property was clean and so were the rooms. The staff was friendly. Only down side is our bathtub didn’t drain well so we were standing in water to take a shower. It was quite disgusting for me but my husband and kids didn’t seem to mind. We reported it but no one came. Told the front desk when we checked out so hopefully they fixed it.

I always stay here when I come to Orlando to visit my daughter. Rooms are always clean. The staff is phenomenal and the breakfast is always different and is kept up with fresh fruit, cereals eggs you name it even homemade waffles.

There were some housekeeping issues, but the staff were quick to address them and made sure that I was happy with the service. There's a notice at check-in that housekeeping is every other day, but can be increased to daily if needed/desired. I was okay with the normal service frequency. The TV uses a streaming platform (in-house, sort of like Roku) and for special platforms you'll need to log-in. The "over the air" channels are listed alphabetically, so searching is easy, but time consuming (no way to plug in the channel number). This does mean that when there's a glitch in the internet service, the screen will freeze. It ended up being easier for me to stream my shows through my iPad. The location is conveniently located near restaurants, shops and 24 hour convenience stores. About 30 minutes way from the amusement parks and an hour from KSC (for those visiting and hoping to see rocket launches).

The problem is not the breakfast. The problem was that there was no electric power, no hot water and I could not take a shower and in the middle of the night my husband's CPAP stopped working because of the power. Also, it was a handicap room which I unknowingly did not choose. There were no hooks on wall of bathroom to hang your clothes and microwave was way too low.

Importantly, we found out, via email at 10 PM, that the front desk closed at 11 (while eating a late dinner close by) so I got up from our table and rushed to the hotel to grab the room card before they closed (which is why I had not been in the room prior to 11). That would’ve really been nice to know sooner because, had I not checked email, we would’ve had nowhere to stay that night and I have personally never heard of a cutoff for check in time at a large hotel. The beds felt like rigid cardboard, unlike all other Hampton Inns I have stayed at. Everything else was great, but they should train cleaning staff to advise management of smells and should periodically check rooms for mold.

We always try to stay at Hampton Inn, but re-thinking our choice. Our room had no closet & no drawers to store our clothes for our 4 night stay. I have never experienced the need to hang my clothes on a wall covered by a curtain. Room was very small & inadequate in more ways than one. Not going to stay at another Hampton Inn.

Pretty much everything looked and worked as expected. Great location near UCF and free parking & breakfast. My wife found the pillows too soft but the front desk offered us a firmer one. Lina was very accommodating and service oriented.

The property was clean and very nice. However, the hot tub didn’t work our entire stay. The pillows were upper soggy and soft but the mattress was extra firm and flat. The air get really warm in the middle of the night and the fan stop circulating the air. The property is located in a perfect spot for dining and easy access to the highways.

The parking is challenging in the area. The hotel and the staff help me navigate it the most economical way!

When we walked into the room it smelled a bit musty but it didn’t bother us after we got used to it.

We went to an event at the Addition Financial Arena and this hotel was the perfect spot to stay. There are plenty of dining options around and it was easy to get to the arena and back. Nice employees at check in and check out and in the breakfast area.

The continental breakfast was not great, but otherwise nice hotel.

I stayed here three nights and it was a really quiet property. The rooms were updated and had decent amenities. The continental breakfast had a lot of options and was ok. The area had a lot of restaurants and gas stations nearby. I would recommend this hotel.

There was a moldy smell in the bathroom. Also someone was smoking marjuana either below me or next door( not room 351 because my girls were in that room). It was making me nauseous.

Was easy to find and had many places nearby that we could eat at.
