Best Western Plus Universal Inn

Hotel was good restaurants nearby in walking distance close to universal above all. The only problem is the shuttle although it’s provided by the hotel it only has a certain time of the day it runs from 8-5:30. Everything else is in the hotel was good.

The property is clean, but the linen smell bad and its itchy.

The reception desk staff scanned my passport and put it in the machine for a longtime until my asking for return the passport to me．That made me feel unsafty． Ok

This is our go-to hotel anytime we visit Orlando. Location is perfect. Walking distance to Universal.

The breakfast was awful. The rooms were clean for the most part. They gave clean towels often. They were walking distance to Universal which was awesome. HOWEVER my daughter left her tablet plugged in the wall. When we returned the tablet was busted. They broke the screen looked like they stepped on it which was ridiculous since it was left on the bed. The management offered ZERO help. They didn’t seem to care, everyone passed it off as someone else’s problem. We had the do not disturb on the door. We know it was housekeeping who did it. The day before they were “cleaning” in the room next to us for like 3 hours. Must of really been a mess for that long of a clean. The lack of empathy, respect and accountability made our stay absolutely the worse. An apology and accountability can go a long way for a customer.

Breakfast was just average. Too many people and not enough tables available. The selection was also quite limited. It was acceptable, but not a highlight of the stay.

The close proximity to the theme parks was definitely a plus. The back location was hard to navigate to enter and find the building. No street sign for directions into the lot. The free breakfast was free but it was really cheap quality food. Other then that, the facility was fine.

The room and beds were comfortable. The hotel was clean. All the front desk staff were pleasant to talk with. Great location. Can walk to any dining options in the parking lot. Breakfast was good. I do wish they would changed up the meat option at least every third day. Hotel is hidden off a main road. I would definately stay here again. I don't have anything negative to say.

No one at the small pool. The restaurant across the parking lot “Millers” was so good we ate there twice! A nice walk to Universal Walk but not for kids! No conditioner in the container on the bathroom wall.

They could not fix it u til the next day so we listened to water run all night. They also announce shuttle service to and from the parks. But the shuttle only runs once a day and it was just a black escalade. So there were like 20 of use waiting for a shuttle that had room for only 4 people. They had to pick everyone up in batches. We gave up and rented an uber.

Very clean, good pillows and mattress. It is very close to Universal and Island of Adventure, just a 0.5 miles, a 30 minute walk. It is a little far from Epic Universe, not able to walk there. The location is very good with a lot a restaurants in the area. Some of the things I did not like was the shuttle only goes to Universal once a day at 8 am and picks you up from Universal at 5:30 pm. Breakfast is daily from 7am to 10 am but it is not very good. They only provide eggs, sausage, yogurt, juice, not very good pancakes and some potatoes. It is the same breakfast daily no bacon or waffles. By the time you have breakfast at 7 am you hardly have time to get ready to get the shuttle to Universal. Overall I would give it a 7 out of 10 due to the good location if you are going to Universal or Island of Adventure, good beds and pillows.

He made our stay worth it. If you have an electric mobility scooter their shuttle to universal will not be able to accommodate it. Luckily with them being so close to the park it was okay to just drive the scooter itself to the parks. Just know you will have to figure something else out for transporting it to and from the parks :) They have one shuttle leaning around 8 am and coming back around 5:30 no other options are available at the time of our stay.

Typical breakfast nothing spectacular about it . It was adequate and the location was good The shuttle service was not what I expected taught there would be more options in terms of pick up and drop of time times so essentially I was not able to use this service

The breakfast is awful, not worth at all, very limited options. They don't have a water filter for the guests, which is something important considering that Orlando is a hot city. The ac is very noisy. They only have two shuttles per day, it goes to the park at 8am and comes back as 5pm, that's it.

Our room on the other hand Dirty Bathroom, (glad I bring my own cleaning supplies) Hair on the towels, stains the tub, toilet paper holder holding up one of the handles in the bathroom, seating chair was full of hair and dirt, not a good room from a BW property

The staff were all absolutely wonderful! Great parking and so many food choices within a 5 min walk. Universal is very close either by car or a short walk. The hotel is older but ok although we had several issues with the bathroom. It was very hard to get hot water in the mornings, the toilet didn’t flush well and we had issues with it backing up. Overall the location is fantastic, staff is extremely helpful and nice but the hotel itself is dated and the carpets could use a good clean. Overall fine for a short stay!

Only issue in my room was that the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were mounted about six feet above floor. Hot water was not consistent. Overall the property felt quite safe. There are several eateries close by.

The daily shuttle service going to and from Universal Studios. I enjoyed the breakfast as it made a nice option to grab something and go. Even though there was a breakfast, the pancake maker was broken/not working for a period of those days I was there. And I could tell the machine when it was working, wasn't doing too good. Also, there were scrambled eggs every day. Which I guess is fine, but when you stay for a string of days together, you hope for some different options. Yes, there was cereal, it was stale, yes there was bread/bagels with a toaster and there was yogurt machine (although that was down the last day I was there). Which made the sausage options the best part of the breakfast.

I would definitely stay at this location again. It was central to everything we needed, and the free shuttle ride to Universal Studios and free breakfast were a great bonus. For the price I was able to get from Booking.com, you cannot beat this location! Because it is very family friendly, sometimes other occupant's children are not so mindful of how loud they are stomping around the room. But, it's nothing that was a deal breaker.

Did not use the pool as it was rainy during our stay. The hotel shared a parking lot with other businesses. Millers ale house is in walking distance. Universal studios is a short drive away. Really enjoyed my stay. Only had one shuttle to universal though that left at 8AM and returned at 5:30. I used my own mode of transportation for that reason.

Only one transport to main Universal hub at 8am and back from main hub at 5:30pm. Wish I would’ve known I could’ve paid the $70 for parking towards a hotel with more transport and saved on parking…

shower was dangerously slippery, the toilet ran continually, the shower knobs were loose and did not work well, little if any hot water and found a seed in the bed after pulling down the covers. shuttle to universal studios ran only twice and was always full.

Best walking location for Universal! Cut through a long parking lot and your right at the walking bridge. The breakfast was diverse (eggs, sausage, pancakes, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, etc.). Friendly, professional staff. Very clean.

The manager there was not welcoming when I checked in. And whenever I saw him after checking in, he did not say hello or any hospitality. He seems to have been in a very bad mood each day, which was just not welcoming. The other staff, however, was very polite and attentive.

I loved staying here. The room was spacious, clean and it smelled so good. The beds were comfortable to sleep on and the mattresses look new. Yes i looked for bugs 😆NO BUGS. the bathroom also was very clean. The breakfast was good too,we even had eggs and sausages. The coffee is very hot and available around the clock. It situated in a very convenient place, alot of places to eat walking distance. I felt safe which ia a big plus...the smallest thing that was inconvenient was the parking, it was a wait before i could find a spot. Yes i keep it at 4☆☆☆☆. And yes i will be returning soon. Thank you for caring about the customer.

I love the location, breakfast, clean, and employees No complaints about the Property. I did have a few weird things not working in the room, the bottom lock on the door would not lock and the fan in the bathroom did not work.

This hotel advertises free shuttle, however there is only one time. 8am and 5:30pm. Most people are not done with the parks at 5:30pm. If you do not have a car, I recommend staying elsewhere

Stayed for one night to see a show at Hard Rock Live. Comfy beds, good A/C. Clean & quiet. Complimentary breakfast was great. Only disappointment was the shuttle. We were advised upon check-in that the shuttle only runs one time per day. 8:00am to Universal Studios only. We were hoping to avoid the Uber fees to get to Citywalk in the evening but were not able to use the shuttle for this purpose.

The location was perfect, breakfast was ok, rooms were comfortable and staff was nice. We found some spiderwebs on the room and little stains in one bed. Spiderwebs were in hard reach places so it wasnt a problem and the rooms did not feel dirty at all. The shuttle to universal leaves at 8 am but comes back at 5 pm, therefore we could use the return shuttle because the parks were still open.

Good location, quick access to Universal by car. Breakfast average quality, but that's to be expected in the US. The front desk guy was quite rude, the pool was not heated, the room felt old.

The room was over sprayed with deodorizer like it was covering up another smell. There was also an air scrubber sitting outside the room. They performed loud work on the drywall on our wall which was loud when trying to relax. I’m assuming there was water intrusion of some sort but was sick to my stomach due to the smell of the room.

The rooms smelled musty and the refrigerator in one of the two rooms I had was filthy as if it hadn't ever been cleaned. The breakfast did not offer much but was okay. The location, though, was excellent. It was an easy walk to Universal.

Morning coffee is very important to me and the coffee at the hotel is supplied from an electronic machine that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since it was installed 20+ years ago. The shuttle to Universal only runs at 7:55am and 5:45pm. So you will be walking or driving unless you want those 2 times. Stay elsewhere.

Upon arrival I was surprised the property was in a huge parking lot but I got over it because of how close it is to Universal Studios and City Walk. Walking distance. There is also a delicious Japanese steakhouse and conveniences such as Walgreens nearby. The front desk house was incredibly rude and dismissive not once did he smile or attempt to be welcoming. Kids were running all around the lobby wrestling and fighting and running up and down the halls early in the morning. The bathtub was dirty. I had to clean it myself before I even got in and so was the bathroom sink. The mini fridge had a stale old smell to it. I didn't even bother looking at the breakfast since the place wasn't as clean as I would expect I didn't want to eat food there. Check out was just as rude and awkward as check in. The security deposit was just supposed to be a temporary hold but my card was charged let's see if I get my $100 back the way they say I wouldn't recommend this place there are dozens of others near the theme parks. However the bed was comfortable and so are the pillows

I had to clean it myself before I even got in and so was the bathroom sink. The mini fridge had a stale old smell to it. I didn't even bother looking at the breakfast since the place wasn't as clean as I would expect I didn't want to eat food there. Check out was just as rude and awkward as check in. The security deposit was just supposed to be a temporary hold but my card was charged let's see if I get my $100 back the way they say I wouldn't recommend this place there are dozens of others near the theme parks. However the bed was comfortable and so are the pillows

Everything about this property was filthy. We started in 211, went to a park and came back to roaches on the furniture. When we called the front desk, they were well aware and it was a common problem. They moved us to room 212 and ensured us it was clean. The next morning we woke up to baby roaches on the wall. If you want to stay here because the parking is free and it’s cheap, don’t. P.s. the breakfast buffet is horrible.

The air quality was so poor that it caused a sharp pain in my throat on the first night, making me rush through the lobby to avoid the dust. The shuttle service was another major letdown. The schedule was completely impractical for a full day at Universal Studios, with a single morning trip and an early evening pickup that didn't align with the park's hours (9 a.m. to 7 p.m.). This forced us to pay for expensive parking, a frustrating and unexpected expense that completely defeated the purpose of a key hotel amenity. On a positive note, the staff was genuinely nice, and the breakfast exceeded expectations. The variety was impressive, with everything from scrambled eggs and sausage to pancakes and fresh fruit, making it a pleasant highlight of the stay. The rooms are clean and spacious with contemporary decor. The location is great, less than a 5 minute walk to a bunch of restaurants and super close to Universal. The included breakfast was good. We requested an extra blanket, and they had it to our room in minutes. It’s an excellent value for the price.

Had mold on bathrooms. Ask for a booking cancelation and hotels.com decline my cancel request, suposedly because the hotel management didnt approve it.

The breakfast was not great, during the time I stayed the pool was dirty, there was a smell from the carpet and finally I noticed there were cleaning it. Housekeeping was good.

I have stayed at several hotels and this one was by far the worst. I had booked a double queen family suite and upon entering the room we noticed that it had double full beds. Upon mentioning that to the staff i was informed that they do not provide queen size beds even though I showed that was what we booked. Called corporate and was told that the front desk would be in contact to correct this. Nobody called us back. Be prepared to provide your own hand soap because they do not. The shower curtain was missing the inner plastic lining so no matter what the floor got all wet. It was also old and torn. There was no anti slip stickers on the tub floor either.

We didn't use the pool, but we didn't go to Orlando for a hotel pool, we went for Universal. Bfast was decent, got full. There's. Walgreens and Kpot restaurant in walking distance, which are super convenient

Unfortunately for this particular location the weather was extremely hot. So when we decided to cool off in the hotel pool we quickly realized it was not sanitary or been cleaned in awhile. It had not been touched for our entire 7 day stay.

We have passes for our family of 5 ( kids age from 15-5) and stayed at this hotel first and loved it. Our next visit we made the mistake of going to a different hotel and it definitely made a difference in our experience. The staff is very friendly, it’s accessible to the parks as well as shopping and restaurants, and the rooms were amazing!!!We will always stay at this hotel when we come to Orlando!

We found a giant live cockroach in our room right when we entered. I asked to move rooms and was told they were all full, even though mere minutes prior he had asked me which floor I’d prefer (indicating there were rooms on each). He instead gave me $30 off one nights stay (we were there three nights). The bathroom was extremely disgusting with black mold looking substance all on the bathtub grout & in the toilet bowl. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the pillows very lumpy, the mattress was stained. The air conditioner could barely keep up. The breakfast had extremely limited options. The only good thing about this hotel was the location which was extremely convenient to Universal and some good restaurants. I would not recommend or stay here again.

Clean, quiet and safe property to rest after visiting the amusement parks

The only stars of our stay was housekeeping. Maria did our room and she was outstanding. Kudos to the gentleman from housekeeping who tried to help us when our keys to room 117 were not working.

Went to check in at 4:30pm but for some reason the room wasn’t ready had to wait in the lobby for an hour. Not optimal after flying across the country. Also the shuttle runs twice once in n the morning before universal opens and once in the evening at 5:30 well before park closes. The shuttle is also super packed as it picks up from multiple hotels.

My family and I needed a one night stay before catching our flight. The front desk staff were very polite. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.

Parking is free, about 25min walk to universal studios. Uber ride is around 6buck(non busy hour). Few nice restaurants nearby and a Walgreens.

Everyone’s keys stopped working half way through our stay and instead of simply replacing or apologizing for the inconvenience, we were all lectured about where we must have placed our cards in our pockets or wallets (the place you would put a hotel key)… it was very awkward.

It's an OK property, not much else. First room we were given the bedding was damp and room smelt foisty, but we were moved to another room which was OK. The rooms are tired and dark, though I'm sure this is being advertised as just being refurbed? We only stayed 2 nights and that was enough. Would I recommend? Not really.

Sort of secluded but very good choice if you go to Universal. We were able to walk there and took us 20 minutes. Dining options within walking distance abd also a walgreens nearby. Staff very helpful. We forgot a medication in the fridge after checkout and they kept it for us. Breakfast was ok, pancajes, eggs and sausages plus milk, yoghurt and fruits. Would stay again.

The breakfast was the same everyday and some days everything was not available. The TV is just small. The selection for the TV is limited. Staff was friendly and approachable.

A great stay! I stayed here for a girls trip with my daughter to Universal and it was the distance was amazing! I absolutely loved the beds personally but all the pillows were super soft with no firm option so keep that in mind if you need firmer pillows. The staff was very friendly! Will definitely stay here again!!

Woke up with a cockroach in my bed. Went to the front desk to inform them. Was accused of bringing it in in my luggage. Worst place ever would not recommend this place.

There were several positives about this property. The rooms were a good size and the fridge was superior to most I’d seen in similar rooms. The area was quiet with restaurants within easy walking distance and the Walgreens nearby was wonderful. The rooms are showing some age with a fairly flimsy air conditioner. We had it at 65 and it could still feel warm at times. The bathtub was also showing some age. It does appear as if some upgrades are in the works. The breakfast was average. Not as good as other best westerns we’ve stayed at. Overall, we were disappointed with some of the front desk staff. They couldn’t answer some simple questions and generally seemed disengaged. The hotel is in walking distance to universal but be aware it is more like 20-25 minutes to the park entrances

Our room was decent. Spacious, comfortable bed with clean linens. Our shower had some cracked tiles, and the shower head faucet leaked a lot, but it did the job! Despite the leaking, the pressure was still good, and temperature adjustable to desired heat.

Not the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed at. Sheets had some stains in them. I’m sure they were cleaned however it might be time to upgrade. Bathroom tile was broken and missing in places. There was an odor in the lobby by the elevator that was concerning. Don’t bank on having a quality breakfast there. It was limited and not very appealing. The location was great however, I’ll spend a little more next time for a more quality resort.

This was a great budget friendly option for staying near Universal. This is an older hotel. No frills. We were there long enough to shower and sleep each night. This is not the Disney resort experience. The bathroom was not the cleanest, but we cleaned it and moved along. The breakfast was great. The hotel offers a shuttle to Universal. Would stay here again if on a budget.

My room door was so hard to open i had to use my whole body to push with my legs - room 104. Breakfast options were very poor/limited. Juice machines out of order. Ice was all way at other end of hall. Plugs in room, only one worked. No microwave, hot fridge, no cups or coffee amenities, no ice bucket, but had a kerieg machine. Very poorly snack area out of almost everything in cooler and shelves, office area computers out of service.

I was put in a handicap accessible room that i did not ask for. The room smelled funny

This is a great budget hotel for visiting Universal Studios in Orlando. With breakfast included and a shuttle to Universal Studios it met our needs. It was clean and the staff were helpful. As a Canadian, I no longer feel welcome in the USA so I will not be returning, but I do recommend this hotel for those visiting Universal Studios in Orlando.

This hotel did not offer anything grand. What I did like is that it is walking distance from Universal Studios and Island's of Adventure theme parks. It offers a FREE shuttle ride to these themes in the early morning and in the early pm as well. It serves It's purpose if your days are spent at the theme parks.

This is a lower budget hotel but it served the purpose since I really only needed a place to sleep. The walls are fairly thin and as a light sleeper this was a negative for me. The room was decent.

We LOVED the location just minutes from Universal's front gate-even closer for the Valet parking lot. VERY easy in and out, excellent quick-serve breakfast with plenty of seating. Beds were very comfy, four pillows on each bed, and the water was hot when we needed it. Our ground floor room was perfect. We were even able to check in a little early as our room was already cleaned.

After walking all day at Universal, we checked in around 9 pm and hotel was 4 minutes from the park. Room clean, staff great. Just ate the free beakfast and it was wonderful. I am a yearly pass holder and will be back to this wonderful and convenient hotel.
