Breakfast is separate it’s per person 18 dollars I didn’t like that I thought it was included, otherwise from that the swimming pool is huge and beautiful and they have two jacuzzi clean rooms beautiful property kfc close by and a lot of options for places to eat close by definitely recommend going there.

I went to breakfast. I would’ve paid the $17 that they were asking for, but when I went there, they didn’t really have that much of a selection so opted to go elsewhere. Me and my daughter went to the pool. The pool looked great from far, but as we near it, there was a lot of bugs inside of it and liquor bottles on the bottom of the pool at first glance everything look great but as you get closer, you do not want to take your kids there something the staff should be aware of The proximity where the hotel is at is great and very convenient to the parks and restaurants. I would recommend for people to stay here.

Location. It’s close to everything that I needed to go to. The employees were helpful and friendly. Initially there was an issue with the water not draining in the tub but that was fixed quickly and I wish it was explained that there was no microwave . I hadn’t been to this location in a couple years and didn’t know they no longer provided microwaves in the hotel room.

I booked this hotel because Expedia advertised that the room included a microwave. Since I travel with my 2½-year-old daughter, this was important for warming milk and food. Upon arrival, there was no microwave, although the space for one was still there. The front desk informed me that standard rooms do not include microwaves and that none were available because the hotel was fully booked. The room also lacked basic amenities. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers were completely empty. In addition, the air conditioning barely worked. Even at 66°F, the room remained warm throughout the night. Breakfast was another frustration. I paid $18 per adult and $12 for my toddler. On the first morning, I was told I had to pay again because the front desk failed to provide breakfast vouchers. The next day, my daughter woke up sick with a fever, and staff initially refused to let us bring food to the room for her. After speaking with management, they finally allowed it. Overall, it felt like guests in standard rooms received lower priority and fewer basic conveniences than guests in upgraded rooms. Between the misleading room information, missing amenities, cleanliness concerns, poor air conditioning, and disappointing customer service, this hotel fell far below expectations.

The staff at the Best Western were extremely kind and welcoming. Everything was handled promptly, and our wait time was less than five minutes. The room was clean and smelled fresh, and the hallways were also well-maintained and spotless. Everything about this hotel was excellent, including its convenient location and proximity to the park. We will definitely be booking here again

I was the only guest staying in the room. In the morning, I found several strands of women’s hair under my pillow, which raised concerns about the cleanliness of the room. Additionally, the bathroom shower was leaking, and it took an unusually long time for the water to heat up. Due to these issues and my discomfort with the room’s condition, I checked out early at 4:00 AM I love the location and all over staff service was excellent.

I booked a standard room through Expedia because the listing indicated it included a microwave. I travel with my 2½-year-old daughter and need one to warm her milk. After checking in, I was told standard rooms do not include microwaves. As a result, I had to warm her milk using hot water from the sink. Another major issue was the breakfast service. I paid for a package that included breakfast ($18 per adult and $12 for my toddler). On the first morning, the breakfast staff told me I had to pay again and treated me as if I was trying to enter without authorization. Later, we discovered the front desk had failed to provide the breakfast vouchers during check-in. The following day, my daughter woke up with a fever after a difficult night. My husband asked if he could take some food to the room for her, but the request was denied. When I later tried to take a small amount of juice and food for my sick child, I was immediately stopped. Only after requesting to speak with a manager and explaining that I had already paid for my daughter’s breakfast did the staff offer a takeaway option. For the price paid, there are far better hotels in Orlando. Overall, the customer service, cleanliness, and accommodations did not meet expectations. I would not stay here again.

Great location to the parks, easy to get to and the parking was free. The floors in the room needed better cleaning, the tub was dirty, zero water pressure, had to turn the water on and let it heat up, hairs in the tub and towels that were not ours, patched holes in the ceilings and walls, couldn’t get the AC to actually cool the room down and it made quite a bit of noise, the toilet paper holder was hanging on by a thread and the toilet paper fell off when trying to change it out or pull it, over all old and needed a better cleaning, sink would get stopped up, no shampoo or conditioner in shower and the place absolutely reeked of weed upon arrival.

Parking was free. Something rare at many hotels. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a room with 2 double beds. Beds are very small. 2 adults will have trouble sharing. Our shower was a problem. The first night there was no hot water, the pressure was terrible and the drain was totally blocked. Maintenance did come out and fix the temperature settings and the drain but the pressure was still not great. We tried to use the treadmills in the gym but only 1 was working so my wife and I had to take turns instead of being able to run at the same time. Second night we tried to use the microwave and it was also broken. Maintenance had to bring 3 different microwaves before they found one that worked. Overall most of the problems were resolved but some money should definitely be put back into fixing some things.

The manager, Luciana was very helpful & kind. We loved the room with 2 sinks. Our shower struggled to get hot water in the morning.

The pool, the Jacuzzi, the room was very clean. A particular odor in the air conditioner.

The room was nice and spacious. My request for a higher floor was fulfilled. The staff was friendly at check in and check out. It was a bonus that there were 2 jacuzzis by the pool area.

It was a nice facility My first room the water wouldn’t get hot in the shower called down to the staff mutiple times and they said they were sending someone we left came back checked again was still cold after being told it was good move to another room that was a downgrade from my room just for hot water move to a better room for a complimentary upgrade and the ac didn’t work so we slept in the heat all night

Bad things - We have flooding in our room and nobody calls or text when we come back alll our shoes and the make up on the sink who soaked wet, room was a disaster and dirty, no apologies no help to change room. We stayed 6 nights and no housekeeping provided like they said, we scheduled it but nobody cleaned our room, just changed towels and I paid for a extra person but everyday i need to call for the third towel and Coffee. If it was not for the front desk team this hotel will be a ZERO stars. Don’t recommend it at all and not coming back there.

There’s many things you can do, go to the gym, pool, play basketball and jacuzzi and snack bar and everything. I came with a Tesla and they only have one charging station but it didn’t fit on my Tesla and I don’t have an adapter so I had to charge somewhere else which isn’t bad because it’s a minute away but wishes they had charging stations that fit or maybe have adapters if needed

Room was filthy particularly the bathroom, multiple public hairs in shower and on toilet. The room I was in was next to an exit door that banged like a gunshot anytime someone went on our out. The elevator and all electricity was scheduled to go off the day I left with no prior notice than one day.

Overall, I had a good stay at Best Western Orlando Gateway. The location is great and very convenient. The hotel could use a little TLC, but the customer service made a positive difference. There was a party at the pool area that made my original room very noisy, but the front desk was very understanding and immediately changed my room with no hesitation. The hallway on the 5th floor had a strong smoke smell, although thankfully the room itself did not smell at all. Interestingly, the hallway where my original room was located had no odor issues. Overall, a solid stay with responsive staff and a great location.

The service was amazing, Luciana is exceptional he made the entire experience very special, and also if you want to eat something tasty and what that home feeling please look out for Maria at the restaurant she makes the best breakfasts ever. I would like to stay more days. But my vacays were too short.

This was our 3rd stay at this property. It's conveniently located to Universal Orlando. It is put go to if we can't stat on property. Staff was nice. Check in easy. No housekeeping service for less than 4 day stay. No biggie, but if you stay more than 1 day at least provide towels and washcloths for length of stay. I always have to ask. Room could be cleaner. Room appears clean but never really is. Floor is always dirty. I bring my own cleaning supplies. Never expect it to be really dirty after wiping down the room. Normally itnis not. This time the bathroom counter looked clean but was not. But spending a little time on cleaning to save is worth it. The food options on property are not the greatest. I don't like the food in the little Cafe. Never ate at the restaurant since we each at Universal. Don't do public poolsnalthough the area looked nice and several people were out there. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

The AC did not work I had it at 65 and woke up sweating. I found several roaches in the room. When we came back to the room it was not cleaned and the beds were made just new set of towels were left.

I really enjoyed the pool, its not real big but it has a deep end and there's 2 jacuzzi. The beds where nice and comfy not dead beds, I did take a shower but the water only got look warm. Wasn't a fan of how much a bag of chips where, but I know it comes with the territory. Anyways its definitely worth it because its also 9 min from universal.

This property is wonderful. The staff is very nice, especially IVO at the front desk. He was very helpful to me with my multiple stays. The room is very neat and clean. The breakfast is not the best. It is buffet, but it is $18 and really not worth it. Parking is free and there is more than enough space to park.

I’ve stayed here before without issues, but this time, the housekeeping team had issues. Night One of our stay started with a baby German cockroach on our door and housekeeping did not come to our room one during our 5 night stay. They kept leaving notes saying that they needed to get in to clean when the do not disturb sign wasn’t even on the door. We had to go ask for towels and for them to take the trash one day when we happened to see housekeeping skip our room again. Not sure if I’ll ever stay here again after this visit, which is sad because the hotel location is convenient to Universal and we have stayed here 3 times before without issues.

Location, easy to get in and the people was willing to help. Breakfast is very good, and the parking has a lot of room to use. The room is just a sleeping place but it was really outdated (poor maintenance overall), the bathroom door got stuck all the time, the air conditioner is old and noisy and the facilities looks like they need some love to make you feel welcome for the price you're paying (looks pretty much like a cheap hotel)

Besides the front desk staff being amazing this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My family and I went home with welts and rashes. There was a visible blood stain on the sheet and they may have a bed bug problem, or at the very least they do not wash their sheets, disgusting. I was initially assigned a room that smelled dirty and like someone was smoking. Front desk was gracious enough to switch our rooms, however the room my family stayed at ended up having plumbing issues. Toilet wouldn’t flush, water in the tub and sink wouldn’t go down. DO NOT stay here.

Bed frames could use an update, but otherwise excellent hotel. This is not a resort and should not have a resort fee.

Hotel outside is very nice. The lobby is very nicely decorated. Our room on the other hand was very disappointing. Our room smelt musty. Floors was dirty to the point we wore our shoes every time we had to move around. The bathroom was the worst part. The tub was dirty like black dirt markings on the floor. There was mold or dirt in all of the grout. It was bad…. It was like they were fixing the room and stopped a 1/4 of the way and were like screw it let people book it. I’m not saying I expected a 5 star experience for a best western but like that was pitiful. We checked out early because it was disastrous. Never again.

The pool and jacuzzi was nice, and the location was really good, and the free shuttle to the universal was a nice touch The first room I got had water running from the fridge and there was damage, asked to switch to another room, and that room had door problem where it did not close properly, had the maintenance person come in and fix the door, also had problem with flushing the toilet, the toilets are really bad they need replacement to better quality ones, and the water in the bath would not go down right away it kept collecting when you showered, the beds were squicky and you could hear people closing doors in the middle of the night which kept waking you up, the rooms have really thin walls and you could hear people talking. The place overall looks outdated, it needs a lot of renovation from beds to whole shower and toilet and just the bathroom in general, I got tired of switching the room after the first one, it seemed that it would be the same in all the rooms

Although the room cleaning is poor, I have an enthusiastic compliment regarding perfection: the pool is impeccable. The maintenance and cleaning of the pool are absolutely perfect. The cleaning is very poor. But the worst part is that, now, they don't clean or tidy up the rooms during your stay. They limit themselves to changing the towels—and that's about it. This is a idiotic cost-cutting idea because the impression it leaves is terrible. In addition to improving room cleaning, they need to rethink this shortsighted cost-cutting policy.

Up to the point where we walked into our room after getting dinner- we were really pleased with the location. But once we entered the room, a noticed the amount of roaches that were on our food !! That kinda Superseded the joy of the location? The amount of live active roaches ? ??? bc THATS RIGHT ROACHES ALL OVER THE ROOM!!. Not only that but after 3 weeks of trying to get a refund based on the obvious! I was only compensated 1 night stay! .. Bookings . Com did not help my as they’re client secure a full refund. And did absolutely nothing in regards to making sure I was satisfied. Best western pushed it off on bookings- Bookings pushed it off in Best western… Just a bunch of B.S. Be very cautious when booking through third parties- they will not protect your interests. YES THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR MY STAY AT A ROACH INFESTED HOTEL. Never stay at the BEST WESTERN GATEWAY IN ORLANDO- Unless you’re looking for specimens.. js

Friendly helpful staff, super good location- close to idrive and universal, free shuttle to universal, clean room/linens/bathroom, fridge, large tv which you can cast to. Pillows on the beds in room 444 were small, square and knobbly. Not the comfiest. Also the a/c unit in that room was very post.

Good for what we needed. We wanted something very close to Universal property. Smelled like weed on first and second floors. Our room smelled musty. First shuttle reeked of cigarette smoke. We also had to get out of bed when the fire alarm went off. Room was alright - paint job wasn’t great. Good cake at the restaurant!:)

This is a nice quick stay. We’re about 1.5 hr from this area so if we wanna enjoy the area and not the drive home this was a nice quick way to do so without paying a ton or planning way ahead. If this is your dream Disney vacation this is probably not the spot for you. But if you want a clean, easily accessible spot with breakfast this would be perfect. We have a 6mo old and a 18 mo old and they really enjoyed the play area. We had breakfast there as well, good quality but the room is crowded. We will stay again in the future.

The first room we were in the door did not close right. We had to get them to fix it done. Thay tell you you have water view thinking we get to see the lake no we get to see the pool not what We want to look at. So we changed room so to see the lake,the mini golf, Volcano Bay. All the rest was good nice snack room, good home made Ice cream. And my wife loved the teramisu.

Check-in was easy, staff was friendly. Didn't like that I was only about 30 mins early, after a 5 hr drive (330 instead of 4) and there was a room available, but would have to pay $20 extra. But rules are rules! Still an enjoyable stay, and if in the area I would definitely stay again. The staff was very helpful and cordial.

For the price, it was GREAT. 3min walk to Dockside Inn bus stop to catch all the shuttles to/from universal if the hotels shuttle schedule doesn’t work for you, super clean, staff was friendly and check in was smooth! About as close as you can get to staying on property with only paying $80 a night :)

Overall the hotel & my room were clean & comfortable. Caroline at the front desk went above & beyond to help me & was a delightful person. My only complaint was there wasn't any body wash in the shower.

This was the worse experience outside of the staff being friendly. Floors filthy, breakfast $16 per person and terrible! Rooms are so rated and need of urgent repair.

The air conditioning unit was quite noisy, and there were some maintenance issues like damage at the bottom of the doors. Additionally, the body wash and shampoo were empty upon check-in, which was a bit inconvenient. While the staff were polite, the overall service felt a bit slow and could be more responsive and welcoming. With some improvements in maintenance, housekeeping, and service speed, this property has the potential to offer a much better stay.

Breakfast was amazing. The staff was amazing. My room was great. I loved everything the swimming pool. We enjoyed every single night and we loved that they had a deli department where we can buy snacks and treats and drinks overall it was amazing experience.

Very disappointed as the room said it sleeps 4 people but both beds were only full size an it was the moat miserable night for 2 adults and 2 preteens. The rooms we joining so you could hear everything from your neighbors. The room was very drab and dark an was just overall cold and uncomfortable. Will never stay here again.

Internet was alright, i don’t understand why there restaurant is open till 11, but their kitchen closes at 10 so you can’t even get food. Other than that it’s a decent hotel to stay at loved their ice cream. When we checked in we were told that we’d have a room next to our friends but they failed to tell us that it wasn’t promised and then when our friends checked in they got put on a completely different floor than us. Then when we went to ask the desk staff about it they were extremely rude and told us it wasn’t promised at that time and they “had an issue with the room for our friends” which come to find out later both rooms next to us had people in them so I find that funny. There was a used condom in the parking lot. Our room was disgusting with red juice all over the AC unit, hair on the bedding, pubic hair all over in the bathtub and shower, dirty walls. Only gave us two towels for a family of 4 for 4 days. Beds were small and hard. Toilet was installed incorrectly and was so crooked you sat facing the bathtub. Other than that the pool and hot tubs were nice but they close really early.

We were missing a microwave when we got into our room and had to call reception to get one to warm up our food. My precious reservation was canceled and it took too long to get it back. Rooms were small and the double bed as well

We had to ventilate the bathroom after shower by opening the door for the whole night. Damp for the whole night. Received the full Florida Everglades experience from this room. I had to ask 2 technicians and a housekeeper for a fan to be fixed. P.S. bathroom was still wet the morning after. I thought the fan not being on was part of the room design before coming in. No main lights. Ate my burrito with the table light shining up to the ceiling like a telling a ghost story to my friends. The table light started to flash in the middle of the night. Thought we got flash banged while we sleeping. The wardrobe is missing a door.

The location and convenience of this hotel are excellent, especially with the shuttle service to Universal Studios. The staff was also great—very friendly and helpful during our stay. However, the building does seem a bit older, and noise from the hallway, including doors slamming and people walking, could be heard at night. Light from the hallway also came through a gap under the door, which made sleeping a little more difficult. The beds were not the most comfortable and the frames creaked when moving, but the shuttle service and friendly staff were definite positives.

Overall was a average stay but there are things that need to be worked on.... Beds are not true queens they are more on the full side,Quest services the check in was excellent woman was nice and patience with me.. when i needed extra towels the woman at the desk that morning her body language was like she didnt want to be there.. One of the light bulbs for one of the lamps was blown requestes a new one it ever arrived.... Toilets flush very slowly,shower pessure was ok... All and All it was average... Probably would only return if i couldnt find anything else

I enjoyed my stay here! The staff are friendly and welcoming. My room was clean and smelled fresh. Though a little old and may need a renovation, it was still very comfortable and I had a very good sleep and the amenities were great! Overall, if you are here for business or a family vacation, it is a very good place to stay!!

I only used the hotel to sleep. I was in the parks all day and ate at the parks for all meals. Staff were nice and helpful.

The room, bed were clean. Popcorn still on ceilings. Rooms were painted, but over imperfections on walls and doors. Large amount of caulk used on walls in bathroom. Not sure what you were hiding.

Most of the people we met that worked at the hotel were super nice. But the stay was not optimal for sure. The room was not ready when we arrived close to 4pm. We provided a phone number and sat in the lobby for an hour and finally walked up to the counter to check on the status. We were informed a call had been placed,which not the case. The rooms on the north of the building have the smell of the pool and feel damp and humid. The sixth floor did not have hot water consistently. We had to take multiple showers without hot water. We called the front desk and were told someone would contact us in 15 minutes -- but no one ever did. We texted the number provided and never got a response. One of the air conditioners was off and on again very noisy and loud. We had to turn it off a few times to make the room quieter. The room itself was quiet and clean. If someone was paying attention to details and listening to customers, this could be a nice place to stay. Probably we will pay a few more dollars and stay somewhere else until this is improved.

A/C unit making noise the first two nights/after supposedly fixed, still noise less louder/requested money back for at least two nights do to lacked of sleeps tired to go to Universal Studios, night manager would not agree to compensate due to reservations going thru third party EXPEDIA. Now, I would like to have a credit for my staying charges. Who’s responsible now? Please advise. I am very upset and unhappy with my unrest fully vacations.

Deadbolt didn’t work, fridge was missing all the wire racks on the door, shampoo container fell off the shower wall, huge gap under connecting room door, barista was rude (don’t pay $4 for an Americano because it’s just coffee from a canister that you serve yourself LOL). Pool was actually nice however you run out of sun quickly because of the building being tall. Employees (aside from barista) were nice and the hotel has potential but it’s just old and filled with problems. Would not stay again. I regret not paying 150-200 more for a better hotel.

Room was disgusted, the duvet was stained with blood from precious stays, Which means that they don't clean or change the bed linen. First night we had to change the room at 2 am because of the sound coming from air conditioner and the second room was worse which we left because for three days changing rooms every day doesn't make sense to me. The doors are all destroyed. and very bad smell. The truth is that the stay was terrible, I had never had such a bad experience in a hotel in Orlando.

I had no hot water in my room and I asked multiple times and they just kept telling me to let the water run but still didn’t get the hot water :/ I stayed here before and loved it which is why I booked here again! Everything was great minus the hot water issue!

Room was ok, but I had to speak to staff on two seperate occasions to swap my key cards as they randomly stopped working for my room. Annoying. Also the body wash tub was empty. This is a decent & safe spot with parking included. Nothing more nothing less.

The shower was disgusting and completely corroded. There were hairs on the towels and various places on the floor. Stains on the floors as well. There was a piece of curtain covering the window missing so there was window exposed the whole time. You could hear everything through the walls.

The amenities were a great plus. Shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion were available and installed on the wall, which made our stay easier. This was very helpful because the nearby pharmacy had a long line, and these dispensers saved us. Overall, it was an excellent stay. I would return and highly recommend this hotel. I am very detail-oriented (OCD), and I truly believe the value for money is excellent, especially considering the cleanliness and condition of the rooms.

Was given a room on the first floor and when I opened the door there was a couple in bed having sex, when they saw me the guy quickly got up and covered himself I apologize and left but it was very awkward and I could tell the couple were embarrassed and angry. Went back to the lobby and told them what had happened. The guy at the front desk took my key and gave me another room in a different floor but no apology or anything for the inconvenience. If I would’ve been a little kid I would’ve been scarred for life.

Clean, comfortable beds, excellent location complete with courtesy shuttle to Universal Studios and other parks. Walking distance to Icon Park and many other attractions and restaurants. The deli, restaurant, and pool were great too. Friendly staff made the stay even more enjoyable. Will definitely return to this hotel the next time I visit Orlando!

The room smelled like mildew and mold and the television did not work. The breakfast, however, was amazing and the customer service was great.

Loud banging noises throughout ALL hours of the night, multiple times. Maintenance at 3 am?!! Sticky goo all over floor, nightstand and bathroom sink. Light in room would randomly strobe, while turned off, at least once an hour. And absolute this hotel should NOT have a junk fee of $16 per day.

They gave us a room that connects to another room and it was horrible. We could hear everything and I MEAN EVERYTHING from the other room. we were even scared of they trying to get into our room. We could her absolutely everything going on next room. And it was the worse experience ever. I will not staying at this hotel ever again. And I will never recommend this place to anyone. I wish I never booked a room with you guys. We weren’t even able to sleep because of the noises from next door. HORRIBLE PLACE AND EXPERIENCE.

The BW Gateway is my home away from home when I visit Orlando. The rates are affordable. The rooms have everything I need. There is a nice buffet breakfast (not free), The food at the sback bar is terrific. Above all, the staff and service at this hotel are exrraordinary.

The staff were truly amazing! I had a reservation in another nearby hotel and they couldnt find it so i had to look for another hotel last minute. We were 5 people and they had 2 rooms available even though it was for only 1 night! They also let me do a late chekc put until 2pm! They were truly amazing. They have an ev charger for my tesla which was greaaaat. Super clean super nice and close to the parks! They have a shuttle to the parks and everytbing. Simply amazing, i know where to stay now in orlando.

First of all the room key was not working properly. Secondly the staff who made me check in gave me only one room key. Why he should ask whether he should give two or one while in other hotels they usually give two.

I had 2 rooms - One of our rooms was perfect. The other unfortunately was not. It was dirty, had an extremely strong odor to that of bengay and even had a little critter friend appear (roach) in the bathroom. We dealt with it as we only used the room to sleep after our days out. Other than that everything was fine. Great parking, shuttle service to the parks was fantastic as well. Bathtub and water temperature was great. I would stay here again.

The room was exactly what we needed it to be! The beds were clean, room was clean! The shower did unfortunately fill with water rather quickly but we didn’t try and get it fixed or anything. I booked it for 4 people and didn’t realize the beds were doubles. Although it was a tight fit, we were so tired from universal it didn’t matter. The front desk was very nice and accommodating. Booking through Expedia and working with the front desk was flawless and there were no hidden fees. I paid exactly what I wanted which was the cheaper price off Expedia! Overall good trip. We would stay there again

The staff was nice overall, minus the girl at check-in. The keys only worked half the time, and there was one door that didn't work at all. Full service on the rooms was cut too much - once every four days. We'd been there for over four nights and wanted our room fully serviced, but couldn't because we missed the one day of the week to ask for it. What's wrong with every other day? The floor hadn't been fully swept; there was dirt behind the chair (the housekeeping staff apparently don't have time to thoroughly sweep when they only have the one day to service all rooms). The one day we asked for service, and got half-service, we only got half of that: most of the trash we'd had in the room was left (empty pizza boxes, dirty coffee cups, etc). We're probably not staying there again. Even with the discount from Expedia, it was a little too much for what we received.

Rooms needs an upgrade on shower curtains & Housekeeping needs to make sure everything that’s included in the rooms is ready to use. Because our complimentary Shampoo bottle in the shower was empty. And, I feel like the outside definitely looks better than the inside of the hotel not a resort if you ask me! The hallway ceiling in the whole building needs to be upgraded. Don’t think I’ll stay there again with my Family.

Only cleans the room once, every 4 days.

There is only housekeeping once every four days. And when they did they did not replace the shower body soap/shampoo which was empty and they took away the bar soap for the sink and did not replace it. So the last of our 4 nights we had no soap at all. Beautiful lobby but less than average rooms. Shower head was filthy.

My stay was perfect

The beds were very uncomfortable. The AC unit made a noise like you were driving down the highway with the windows down so it was hard to sleep. We told the front desk and they said they would have maintenance look at it, when we came back it still made the same noise. The water took forever to get hot and once it was “hot” it was just warm on the hottest setting. The only good thing about it was the staff was nice.

It was a nice room the tub water didn’t drain but I called maintenance and they cleaned the shower head was all rusted but everything else was good.

This hotel is most valuable when you have a trip to Universal Studios, because it is right next to one of the resorts (Dockside Inn) that you can walk to and get a shuttle to the park which they get every 10 minutes so that way you don’t have to pay for parking. I’m happy to have found a hotel that takes 18 that’s right by Universal, because their resorts require to be 21 to check in.

The rooms are poorly maintained and feel more like a roadside motel than a typical Best Western.

No shampoo or conditioner upon arrival. Breakfast should be free, considering how horrible it was. Staff is pleasant and room was fairly clean.

Sometimes these hotels have a third world Vibe the microwave didn’t work in my room. The maintenance man kind of blew me off, and I had to prove to him his simple repair didn’t work and the microwave had to be replaced completely, but if he didn’t know if the microwave was not working I shouldn’t have to hon back-and-forth and discuss that with him. It should be his responsibility, follow thru on the the repair are replacement sometimes the employees have a chip on their shoulders

I have stayed here multiple times. The staff is great. The rooms are always clean. The amenities are good. There is less sun at the pool as you move close to the winter months. It is blocked out by the building. There are two large hot tubs and a sunning platform closeby where you get sun. The snack bar has great food. Rachel at the snack bar is a real sweetheart. One caveat. Beware of the resort fee.It is now $15 per night and it is not clearly evident on some booking sites. The room rates are reasonable, but you have to add $15 per night.

Front desk was courteous and got us another room, but we waited 5 hours for a room to be cleaned and had to remind them. The new room was still at the end of the hallway, but the shorter one. It did smell better and looked cleaner, plus had a softer bed, though still kinda firm. Some major annoying components were the water was barely warm, if at all. Many cold showers were had. The room left our luggage moist, which tells me the AC wasn’t working as it should. An odd thing was randomly through the night the desk lamp would flash really bright. We had to unscrew the lightbulb. Lastly, we had 4 people in the room, but any time they replaced our towels they gave us 2-3. Every day we had to ask for more towels. 2 days they didn’t bring any and we had to hunt them down. One morning we slept in and refused service, but called down to get new towels. They never arrived.

The only fault that I found with the hotel was, their shuttle to Universal departed and arrived only once in the morning and at night. It wasn't running all day. So for me, since I was going to HHN and wouldn't be leaving the park until 2am, I would be too late to catch the shuttle back to the hotel. Thankfully though, there was a Universal resort next door to Best Western that offered back and forth shuttles every few minutes! So I was able to walk over to them (about a 5 minute walk) and use their services. But overall, I was VERY happy with my stay!

I have stayed at this hotel several times and this last stay was unlike the previous ones. Room 641 AC took forever to cool the room down and it was on the coldest setting. The sink by the coffee maker didn’t drain properly nor did the shower. The staff noted my concerns but I hope they fix it. The room overall was clean and quiet despite it being fully booked. The view of the lake from the window was so beautiful I definitely will be staying there again (in a different room).

I travel for work and this is close to my job site. Great staff, great hotel, great price. When booking online there’s a resort fee that you pay at the hotel. It’s not crazy, just not disclosed online. The room was nice, clean, and quiet for the most part. For the price point it’s an excellent hotel in a decent location.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! We just recently stayed and we’re not happy for the community. The price we paid was similar to the comps around. You get more bang for your buck by spending a little bit more and staying at Universal Endless Summer Resorts RIGHT NEXT DOOR. The room was unsanitary, poor conditions, mold and mildew infested… and we even found pubic hair on the toilet seats and in the tub! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Upon arrival I was greeted with a friendly smile/welcome at the check in desk. However, I did not like my room not being cleaned on a daily basis and I had to sign a request form for my room to be cleaned. Each time I leave and returned my room key did not work. I have to keep activating my room key (room 510) at the check in desk. Whenever I go to the concierge desk to inquire about tours, I'm being approached and offered to buy time sharing properties from other companies which doesn't interest me. Apart from these 3 issues, everything else was ok. Hopefully if I happened to return in the near future, I expect a better experience from this hotel.

Dirty blankets when we arrived, no toilet paper, cleaning lady came in the room after knocking two hours before check out. No water offered in lobby when asked only ice machine in the middle of the night

The room was good clean. Just few things like the door of the closet was broken the shower head was totally dirty and it had mold. The staff was very nice, the area I loved it, everyone was polite and helpful. I would recommend it.

Good Location

Room was clean, but overall it wasn't in the best condition. The walls had some damage (not a huge deal) but more importantly the door had quite a large gap on the side, so you could pretty much see through it. Bugs could theoretically walk right through the gap, it was at least a half and inch wide. If I was not there with my spouse, I would not have felt safe. Overall, location was great however, and I would stay there again just hope I got a better room.

For being a budget friendly hotel, I was pleasantly surprised with the facilities and the staff. I would’ve liked the gym to be 24hr access.

Bathrooms is not good. That’s what it always comes down to for me. Door won’t close and is rickety. Caulk all over the bathtub. Sink won’t drain. No matter how nice the hotel, if the bathroom is like this it’s a three star.

The tv didn’t work consistently, the toilet ran nonstop. There was mold in the shower and a rusted gross shower head. The closet doors were rusted and off track making it a challenge to move them. And, even though the room clearly shows a microwave (and there was a place for one), it was missing. Repeated requests for help just responses that no one was available to help. The front desk just told us to stay in that room and wait for when maintenance could come up. Complete NIGHTMARE!

Bed Sheet were dirty

The room isn't the best. It has some damaged items. I'm disappointed breakfast isn't included. However the lady who helped us at check in was so nice and helpful. I really appreciated her kindness.

This is a much more economical way to stay close to universal, you can walk to dockside which is literally 50 yards from the hotel and jump on the free bus to Universal Studios, which is why I stayed at this hotel for $70 a night instead of $300 a night at dockside

It was fine. Nothing special, nothing terrible. We booked because it was close to Universal and we needed somewhere to sleep after Halloween Horror Nights. We were able to check in after midnight with no problems.

First room had roaches within 10 min of checking in we had to put our bags in the car and then get another room. The second room smelled of mold/mildew you could feel the dampness In the room.

this is an older hotel, i found staff nice but they charged extra $35 resort fee once i arrived on top of the fees charged when booked. they only provide service to your room after 4 days (not acceptable when traveling with a family) i had to ask many times for sheets. the discounted tkts in the lobby is a time share and not discounted tkts, expect to be harassed every time you come in or out. didn't want to use shower because there was hair and black mold in tub. hotel is in great location maybe a mile to universal or "I" drive and was one of the best prices in that area.

I had a wonderful stay at best western. From check-in to check-out, the staff were warm and professional, making me feel welcome throughout. My room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping maintained it daily with care. I especially enjoyed the pool, which made the experience even better. The location was convenient for exploring the area, and overall service exceeded expectations. I highly recommend best western and would gladly return on my next visit.

Floor was not cleaned, toilet keep running, bed was not made & I was charged a $ 15 dollar resort fee even though I did not use the amidites.

Staff members were very nice. Pricing was good for the duration of my stay (6 nights). The pool was nice and the location was very convenient if you plan on going to the parks. I was unhappy with the premade food as my salad was bad and made me second guess buying anything else. Their food otherwise was good. Last thing that I was not satisfied with was the air quality in the rooms. The AC unit was very loud and for some reason everyone I went with were severely congested but only in the rooms (possibly filter needs changing).

Staff made everything so easy!! From selecting my room, to show where to eat!! The night auditor/manger Luciana is the most knowledgeable, friendly and professional front desk I ever met!!! My stay is always phenomenal cause of her!! I live in Miami and stay in Orlando at least 2 times a month and I'll pick this place cause the staff, location, parking....

Cons: * The Wi-Fi was out. * There was adult content on the TV when i turned it on. * Electrical outlets wouldn’t hold plugs properly. * The A/C unit was so loud and disruptive at night it was difficult to sleep. * Poor water pressure in shower and sink. * Paint looked rough in multiple areas, with a water stain on the ceiling and peeling paint in the bathtub. * The first floor had a strong smell similar to cat litter. * Overall, the hotel feels very outdated. * I was offered a different room, but it had the same problems and wasn’t any kind of upgrade. When I asked for a real upgrade to make up for the inconveniences, I was told no. * No security in the parking lot, which didn’t feel safe. Pros: * The price was good for the area. * Great location. * Big, clean pool with two large, clean hot tubs. * Convenient snack/drink shop and vending machines. * Free parking. * On-site restaurant and bar with good food options (though I didn’t try them). Overall, while there are some positives, the number of issues made this a disappointing first experience with Best Western and I will not come back.

They had a few rooms available, and they let us pick our room. Staff was professional and courteous. Next to Universal with transportation available. Clean. Late check out is a possibility.

One of the worst hotels i have stayed in. The electrical is shot we had to keep turning a power strip back on we had to hold the cord in to the plug to iron with the 2nd broken iron given to us when we told them about electricity nothing was done. The shower os nasty no water pressure or hot water. The most uncomfortable bed pillows ever .Pool was the only nice thing in this over priced run down hotel

Overall good for our needs coming into town for a concert and the Universal theme parks. Concierge provided Universal coupons which worked in-park. Room features slightly run-down and old, but worked and room was clean.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our first stay here. The nighttime staff at the front desk was amazing. Our room was clean and beds were comfy. The location is very close to Universal Studios which is exactly what we were looking for.

We’ve stayed here four times now and the service is always great. Ivo is the best, he’s helped us every time we’ve been and is always friendly and helpful.

Request 3 times at 8:15 AM extra towels to shower they bring it at 9:00 AM and the AC too much noise dont Let you sleep

I got electrocuted from using the microwave in my room . It burnt my hand . They accommodated me by giving me a bigger room . I don’t think that’s enough or fair for something this serious. What if it was one of my kids that opened the microwave.

I honestly love the property. Its location was optimal for my travels. The staff was very engaging and sweet. I had a great stay.

Clean easy access to other areas

Room was dirty. Door keys worked unreliably, there was no access to water fountain after 10 pm, and. WiFi did not work in the room.
