Best Western Orange Plaza

We checked in the evening on Tuesday and the woman who helped us was very nice. I would say the pictures of the rooms were a little deceiving because they made the rooms look very modern and in a way they were, but the laminate flooring in our room was cracked and the bathroom had mildew stains. Beds were okay but the small pillows weren't very comfortable. We actually got a room that had 3 beds, 1 of the beds being in a separate room which was nice but that room also didn't have air conditioning...only a portable fan that I had to leave on all night and day to kind of keep it cool. The location was convenient and there are several walkable restaurants in the area, including downtown Chapman which was really nice. Would I stay here again? Maybe if I was in the area again and since the place was relatively inexpensive.

Greeted by professional and courteous staff. Housekeeping were extremely helpful, kudos out to them! Parking was safe, experience no issues whatsoever. Within 5-8minutes to Angel Stadium, Amtrk station and many dining options. Breakfast appeared to be sufficient with different type of items to choose. Definitely return.

If you are planning to use the sofa bed, don't bother—the mattress consists of nothing but springs and is painful to sleep on. They won't replace it, and it is simply horrible. The regular beds aren't quite as bad, but the mattresses are extremely soft; if you roll toward the edge, you'll end up on the floor.

Location was perfect for all our obligations we had for the weekend. The manager was the best. Very accommodating. Because of our Genius Level, we were able to check in early which really helped us. There was a disaster in the area. The toxic chemical threat in Garden Grove was 11 miles away yet there was no warning nor information from the hotel. We couldn’t sleep our first night knowing we might need to evacuate at any moment. We never unpacked and we made our own evacuation route if needed. Thankfully the tank did not leak nor explode before we left but it’s still not been resolved. We feel so bad for all the people that live in that area.

My mom my wife is pregnant we were there there was no aloe vera for her to take it was so tough for her to take the stairs all day to the top.

It is our second time at this place and it is economical and it works.

Room had a weird smell, Reported it to the front desk, but nothing was resolved. It was overwhelmingly strong. Also breakfast was over by 9am which put everyone on a tight schedule to eat for such a small breakfast area.

Staff was very pleasant, and the rooms were very clean for the price I paid. The linens and sheets were very clean, and the room smelled very nice. Only slight downside is that parking can get a bit tight if you stay out too late, but overall I would stay here again!

A small and intimate hotel, but mighty in its cleanliness, friendly staff, and hospitable amenities. Front desk staff was always so kind and helpful when we needed things. Breakfast was really good the two days we had it. And the room was the perfect set up for my 3 friends and I.

The staff and location was fantastic. They truly cared about my stay and were kind whenever I spoke to them. Excellent customer service. Breakfast was great but they don’t use real eggs. The room was clean for the most part but the closet top shelf has some black pebbles. I hope not mice or rat poop. I’d stay there again.

I travel frequently, and this hotel exceeded every expectation. The staff are exceptionally attentive and gracious, the rooms are impeccably maintained, and the overall atmosphere is one of comfort and quiet luxury. checked in at almost 6 PM and the room still wasn’t ready so we had to get a different room. The bed and pillows were horrible.!!! pillows were like ones that you would have on your couch. They were a little square squares and they were awful.! I would not go back.

That being said, the parking lot was small, and there is no elevator, which would have been an issue but luckily I was on the first floor. Breakfast had a lot of fun toppings for the waffles and yogurt, my kids loved it.

It was a fairly quiet area to stay in to be 15 minutes away from everywhere we needed to be. Easy access to the freeway 22. The premises were clean and well lit in a safe area. The breakfast was enough to get coffee and if you were really hungry, you would settle for the egg mix cheese concoction. There was enough for about 8 people in the breakfast room. The room was clean seeming. Just don’t look at the bottom of your bare feet after walking around in your room. The staff was friendly. Note: 2 story building, no elevator for the physically challenged

The woman who was at the front desk when I checked in, was extremely friendly and helpful. Upon entering my room, I was pleased with what I saw, as everything was clean and in place. I had asked for as quiet a room as possible, and was unfortunately the room closest to the street so could hear a lot of traffic and sirens. After being in my room for about an hour, I was overwhelmed by the smell of cigarettes, and also the smell of deodorizer, seemingly trying to cover up the cigarette smell. It was so bad that my eyes were watering and I had a terrible headache. Unfortunately, the hotel was booked, so I was not able to switch rooms. The only other negative was that the pillows were incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable. The bed itself was fine.

It is a great room. We had two queens in one room with sink vanity, chest of drawers, two chairs, and small closet. There was another room wuth a queen size bed, ottoman, and fan. This made it comfortable for 5 people to stay. There is road noise , and they could use some noise reduction walls and windows. Other than that, great place to stay.

Overall it wasn’t a bad place to stay. The floors were dirty(white socks turned brown) when we arrived. They don’t clean rooms every day. We were out of shampoo when we arrived and I had to physically find a cleaning person to get a bottle because no one came to replace it after 4 hours from calling. Parking is small, came in from Disney at 11:30 and there was 1 small spot left. On check out the guy couldn’t give me a receipt because of the printer but didn’t receive an email like he said he would do. Breakfast was your typical breakfast. I would stay again because it served the purpose as a place to sleep and that’s it

The Hospitality shown by both front desk attendants was remarkable! I was traveling with my 2 year old daughter, and was originally booked a 2nd floor room, the lady checking us in, offered a first floor room to make it easier on me with a child. The night shift front desk attendant was constantly walking the grounds to make sure everything was in place. We felt very safe. Clean room and grounds. Super close to Disney! 10/10 would stay again!

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff! The room looked to be recently remodeled & was attractive and clean. It was an easy walk to the Orange International Food festival. Parking was easy. My only suggestion would be to bring your own pillow.

I liked the hotel, you can see they’re doing a good job. My only problems were that I don’t like the foam mattress ( my personal problem) and the toilet seat was barely attached and I was not willing to use it. Minor problems but overall one can tell that they are trying to do a good job.

Very quiet nice property

It was a pleasant one-night stay for me and my girlfriend. The property is in good shape and has undergone an obvious upgrade. There are still a few things that they could stand to iron out for staffing the front desk and assuring that no six-legged critters get into your room, but I felt like what I witnessed was an anomaly not worth dinging them for. It's clear that they are working on improving whatever was going on before the upgrade.

Breakfast was good, parking was tight but we drive a larger suv so we are used to it. Cali Tacos up the street has great food and Ralph’s across the street for groceries if needed.

The room was clean and large. The staff was very friendly. Loved the pool. Only downside was the traffic noise, but the hotel can't control the crazies who rev up their cars or cycles. It was quiet after midnight.

This was a perfect hotel for our purposes. It was so clean and easy to get in and out of.

The property looked very clean and nice. My room was definitely updated but unfortunately, my TV did not work and the excuse was that they just had them installed and they are being tuned and having some issues that they’re working on which was totally understandable but when I want to take a shower, my tub was fully clogged Like water would not go down they could not rectify the problem so they offered to move me to another room, but I did not like this. My things were moved without me, knowing which I felt uncomfortable about.

The room was nice and clean, although the light bulbs were bright, cool light so not warm and cozy. The pillows were very lumpy but we slept well on the comfortable bed. Breakfast would have been great, complete with biscuits and gravy, eggs and potatoes, yogurt and waffles- just get there first thing because at 8:40 there wasn’t much left (breakfast ended at 9 am.)

We overall enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and well appointed. Our limited exchanges with staff was enjoyable. Our 2 nitpicks: we wish the floors had been carpeted and the pillows fluffier. The next time we want to visit our collegiate granddaughter at Chapman, we will return.

The shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers in the bathroom shower are not easy to use.. the towels are a bit old and small..

Unfortunately, this completely ruined my stay, and I couldn’t feel comfortable in the room afterward. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless they improve their cleanliness and pest control. If you care about hygiene, stay elsewhere!

I can't use upstairs rooms without elevator

Two huge roaches in the room throughout the night. The night clerk came and got one of them but I saw another around 3 am and I just locked it in the bathroom. Other than that it wasn’t horrible and the staff really is great and accommodating. Just couldn’t sleep after the second bug in my bed and I was tired the whole next day.

Room wasn't ready at check in time so we couldn't check in until 6 p.m. and the front desk person was incredibly rude and absolutely unhelpful or even baseline respectful. She should not be allowed to deal with customers. The hotel itself is nice. Nothing special but for the price very good. Unfortunately the staff made this a very poor experience.

My fiance and I needed a room for New Years Eve, and luckily they had a room available. It was very clean and modern. It was only a mile away from Old Town Orange and its amazing restaurants and bars. I would highly recommend for anyone on a budget looking to stay in Orange and enjoy all the city has to offer!

We stayed here the night before going to Disneyland. This was so close to the park about a 14 minute drive. The area was quiet and the rooms were really nice. The bed was comfortable and the staff super friendly. They do have a breakfast in the morning as well.

Love to stay here when in Orange County. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the “Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash” container in shower was hard for me to use. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

I stayed here before the renovations were done, It is a nice effort but I don't like that the rooms don't have carpet, it makes everything in the room seem noisy and echoier. But the bed was good. Your front staff are not very welcoming. I was treated as another guest, or problem. Like she didn't want me there.

I really liked the close proximity to UCI and the value for my money. The staff were great, especially Michael. He made me laugh. He has a great personality. There were only a few things they could improve on. One,the bed had a indention onthe side and I had to sleep more in the middle of the bed. Two, the air conditioner was missing buttons. So, you didn't know which was the air. Also, the inconvinience of having to make u turns to get in and out of the property. However, it was a good place to stay for my husbands procedure at UCI.

Room was clean and beds are comfortable- The only complaint walls are thin, so hopefully you have quite neighbors and TV is low. Heard footsteps above, but all and all it was a good place to stay, especial. I loved that the historic orange circle was walkable and so was the store, Starbucks and other conveniences of other places. The front desk clerks were nice and accommodating. The continental breakfast was good too

The stay was pleasant with a great breakfast. But some of the bedding and towels had some stains.

It was wonderful. Everything worked, clean, spacious.

The only thing what they need to improve is if they offer breakfast in a certain time period , make sure you have food between those hours. If you are getting empty and there is still 30 min left, fill up everything!!!! And don’t remove the empty food containers and leave the spot empty. Fill up everything and bring it back so we can enjoy breakfast.

Not a bad place, but in hindsight, we may have looked elsewhere. First of all, all lighting is superbright white lights. With the white walls, we felt as if in a lab, or hospital room! At night, it someone wants to read,the entireroom is going to be blazing in light. Very annoying! Our refrigerator didn't work and they couldn't repair it in our 2 night stay. We used a cooler. Beds, bathroom and pool were great. But that lighting.....yikes!!!

Perfect stay for an Angel's game. Road our bikes from the motel to the stadium. It's only 2 miles. Comfortable, free parking with vehicle close to room which is a plus for us since we travel with our bikes. Price is right. Only negative is the cleaning product used is a bit strong and lingers in the room. Kept our door opened to air out then it was fine.
