Residence Inn by Marriott Ontario Airport

Unfortunately, cleanliness was a major issue. The suite had an unpleasant odor when we arrived, and there were small flies in the room. We also had to wait quite a while for bedding for the pull-out couch. The bedding and linens had visible stains, including lipstick stains on pillows, and the beds themselves were absolutely disgusting with huge noticeable stains making it hard to relax and feel clean and comfortable. Around the property, we noticed litter, discarded towels, and general maintenance concerns. Because of this, we did not feel comfortable using the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was well stocked and enjoyable on Saturday, though Sunday was much busier. Everything was a mess and we had to ask to pretty much replenish everything as it was gone. Overall, the room size, staff, and breakfast were positives, but the cleanliness concerns significantly impacted our experience and would make us hesitate to stay again.

Charged for parking, not told about it. Bathroom had trash still in it. Couch was unusable,just sunk into it. Sketchy people around , hotel is used as a residence for some people. Noisy.would definitely not recommend at the price point. Can douch better.buyer beware

The room that we stayed in was extremely dirty. We did not have enough clean towels and there was no cleaning service or staff on site. The room was spacious but was not keep up well. We called the front desk to ask for cleaning service multiple times but no one returned our calls. The property was not well maintained.

Breakfast was good just was missing the waffle maker. Katherine was very kind and helpful! Overall customer service is excellent! Made our trip better with friendly staff.

I was thinking about this place, the carpet really smells like very old. The staff ok, but breakfast and kitchen are horrible! The foods so limited and dinning room dirty, only one person and she not friendly with the clients.

Got there yo check in, there was no one at the front desk for about 10 minutes. Finally when someone showed up he complained about the long line of guests waiting to check in. The room was completely unsatisfactory. There were roaches in the room and the condition of the shower was disappointing. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.

The room was terrible. The bed was horrible and the AC was broken. So it was hot in the room the whole time.

They seemed like they were preparing for a renovation. But our room had small roaches.

Staff is excellent. The property itself is adequate, but not fantastic. A/C in room wasn’t operational, top deadbolt was torn out of framing. Overall, the property is dated and in need of upgrades. It’s good location to the airport.

Trash all over the place of the building .. the light in my room in the kitchen area kept flicking off and on .. bent off boards of the wall by the floor and nats flying here and there in my room .. I didn’t stay the night I left late that night at 10:00 pm , I did t use the shower or tub area either .. just wasn’t happy there was not a clean nice stay

Clean and very quiet

The door to our unit stuck every time we tried opening it. The room smelled musty. We had a kitchenette but no cleaning products so we couldn't even wash the coffee cups we used. We had one bar of soap in the bathroom that was about 1/2 inch in size for the five days we were there. I had to transport it from the bathroom to the kitchen as needed. No toiletries provided so we had to make our own last. The only lighting was in the kitchen, bathroom, and two wall lights over the bed which made time spent in the living area extremely dark. There was no remote for the TV. I asked the desk attendant if we could have one and his response was, "Do you need one?" One was given to us. By our third day, we had used the three coffee pods provided and I asked the desk attendant if we could have a few more. She asked if we wanted regular or decafe and I said regular. She couldn't muster up any and said she'd have some dropped off at our room. Three hours later, a guy brought two decafe packages! We are not that picky, just loooking for a clean room with minimal amenities. We will not be staying there again.

I really like how the pen suite was very spacious and open, and that everything we asked for was included. Well, when walking in, I thought it was a little ghetto because the entrance is by the pool, and there’s a lot of cussing from other people, not the staff, they’re very welcoming.

Day staff great! Clean, very nice , great breakfast. The day staff was very kind. The night shift guy wasn’t. I stayed for a week, went to San Diego & told the day staff that I’ll be back for one night before I leave but I’ll be getting in late. My room had been reserved & paid for but the night staff hassled me about coming in at 11:30p . It’s a hotel. I couldn’t drive any faster or I definitely would have ?.

Carpet stains everywhere, room had a smell we couldnt rid of even though we opened doors, windows. We went to Target to purchase pillow cases as the quality of “clean” was horrific and we purchased air freshener as well- it helped, but only slightly. No towels & when we asked for towels they handed us towels that looked & felt like they were used like old and dingy. Dust everywhere, walls were dirty with hand prints and wear… IT WAS A MESS!

This was a quiet place with a community feel. Good location. Close to food. It was very peaceful. I was able to park right outside my door. Inside was very clean. I enjoyed it. Wasn't much on television. LED lights hurt my eyes. I have nothing to complain about. I had to think hard to come up with those examples.

I loved the big room with kitchenette. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pool was closed while I was there, and the free breakfast was pretty sparse in terms of choice.

This place was more like an apartment complex. Facility needs some updating both inside and outside. Appearance when pulling up to our room (outside entrance) very messy. Plastic bags of trash, and linens were laying outside. Charge $17 to park.

Fresh breakfast and staff are wonderful

It seems the building looks a lot more rundown the walls, with the amenities nothing looks like it’s been kept up. The sofa couch bed was broken. I’ve been a frequent flyer at these hotels over the years coming with my children that are now adults with their own children. And the floors were completely dirty. The carpets were completely filthy. being with small children it was not acceptable

The floors throughout the rooms were completely filthy. My grandchildren and myself were wearing socks on the carpet, and the socks was completely black. I had a three-year-old and one year-old. The parents were not happy at that time. I had three rooms and they were all the same Dirty. I have stayed at this hotel for the past 20 years and always chose to come and stay with my family. I haven’t been in some time, but there’s definitely a change.

We loved the room we were in. Perfect for our family. Kitchen, Living room, Loft, and 2 bathrooms. Had all we needed to be comfortable beds were comfortable, except the sofa bed not so great. The rooms just need a little re-do! New paint. Change the carpet (very old). Update the bathrooms, newer tubs, and cabinet. Newer towels. The towels were old. The sofa bed mattress needs to be replaced too hard.

Clean room great breakfast

No shuttle to the airport in the morning, the smell and property was outdated. The air conditioning barely worked and the toilet leaked. The tub was stained and if I had to stay over 5 hours for a connection and had a chance to cancel, I would’ve been gone.

The 1st room we had was very dirty. Upon arrival there was a stench in the room. The bathroom was only equipped with 2 towels and the reservation had 3 people. The towels mentioned had hair on them, which prompted further investigation of the room. The bed sheets had crumbs and what looked like make up all over them. When we mentioned to the front desk they changed our rooms. The new room was slightly cleaner. It still only had two towels for 3 people, there was not a blanket for the pull out couch. We only had a fitted sheet and a tiny pillow in the closet for the bed. The room still had a stench that did not go away with our own room spray. And there was a terrible case of gnats in the room. They were mainly in the kitchen and the bathroom. The bed was very hard as well.

When I got there it was actually pretty scary. I checked in the staff member was pretty nice told me everything I needed to know. Though when I got to my room. It was not what I expected. I looked around and the carpet looked dirty the beds were not well done. I almost triped on a pair of slippers someone had left behind so I looked under the bed and the other one was there. So I know they hadn't cleaned under the bed. The kitchen faucet was so loose I had trouble turning on the water. I looked in the bathroom and the tub plug was not in where it should have been it was on top of the bath corner. When I got in the shower it was so slippery I had to hold on the shower handle to make sure I wouldn't fall over. Also, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I had to go and buy some so I would have some in the bathroom. I don't think I would stay there again.

They did not have our room ready at check in. It was not ready until 7:00 pm. Hotel is out dated and need a good remodel and cleanings. Staff are typical rude young adults.

The location is perfect! Right across the street from the Ontario Convention Center. The location is also close to a variety of restaurants and a Mobile gas station. The room was very spacious and spotless. The provide shampoo, conditioner and body wash is a nice touch. The ac was perfect cold. The grounds are kept very clean. Even though we didn’t have a chance to use them, the pool and BBQ areas are definitely good to have. The free breakfast was also a nice touch. We had scrambled eggs, corned beef hash and breakfast sausage. They also have a waffle maker, different types of cereal and breads, oatmeal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee and milk. They even have water and coffee in the lobby at all times. But, I do have to say that the best part of our stay are the fabulous employees working at the front desk. All 3 of the employees at the front desk that we encountered were all so accommodating, personable and went above and beyond during our stay. A big Thank You to all of the employees for a wonderful stay! Every time we are in the Ontario, California area, we will definitely stay at the Residence Inn Ontario Airport!

Hotel is below standard, they do not maintain buildings, rooms stink and termite infested. They have people living there full time on vouchers. Creepy place for a MARRIOT. It's actually an "F" or "0" out of 5 stars but 1 star is the lowest for rating on Expedia. Traveler beware !!

We attempted to call from our personal devices multiple times with no answer, and our in-person requests at the front desk were largely ignored. ​ 4. Lack of Resolution: On Saturday night, when the room became freezing, maintenance confirmed the heater was broken. We were offered no solutions—no portable heater, no extra blankets, and no room change. ​ 5. Safety Hazards: We discovered broken glass on the stairs and walkways surrounding our building, which remained uncleaned during our stay. 6. ​Inadequate Service: Breakfast was consistently depleted long before the end of service hours, and the property appeared severely understaffed to handle the guest volume.

I stayed here for just a night because I had a 6 am flight. Cool setup with the buildings that made for a nice environment and privacy. Very nice rooms at a very decent price. Close enough to the Ontario Airport for a verity cheap Uber. Friendly staff as well. I recommend.

The light in the kitchen was motion sensored and turned on every time you rolled over. As a side note. This is an old hotel with exterior entrances and stairs. Would not recommend especially to families, people traveling with more than one bag or elderly. Didn’t rate breakfast- didn’t eat.

The room smelled horrible the carpet was dirty there was NO phone and riff raff people in the parking lot we were concerned about having things stolen from our rental car. There were people walking around in the back parking lot on drugs in the morning. There was also No phone in the room which made us feel unsafe also. We generally didn’t feel safe in the Marriott which was the only time ever out of all our stays. On a happier note the staff was WONDERFUL & very helpful and accommodating. They get 5 stars the property does not sadly. It needs a lot of work. Please bring this place up to proper Marriott level standards before word gets out.

I did not like how old the property was it should be mandatory to stay updated.Bathtub stained 3 different rooms i tried all dirty.

Check in was fine. Room was fine. Location and condition of property outside the room was terrible! Dirt, rocks, leaves all over sidewalks. Sprinklers flooded the area which is basically dirt, which created muddy areas on the sidewalks.

The front desk staff was so helpful and nice! Shout out to Andre for being so incredible when my daughter&I arrived so late at night after attending a wedding! He even offered to give us a wake up call so we could make it to our very early flight the next morning! Very impressed with this hotel too…super clean and very close to the Ontario Airport!!! :)

One of my favorites stayed so far

Absolutely disgusting. My door lock was messed up and the lock randomly and not unlock the barstool chairs had pieces of leather falling off the room smelled awful. There is insects all over the bathroom. I stay at Marriots all the time I have no idea how this is rated a Marriott. The only saving grace was the staff was absolutely amazing. The breakfast was just subpar. Just powdered eggs and these dried out overcooked quiches this property was just very old outdated and not maintained.

The staff was awesome and the room was decent. Bathroom door and cabinet was broken, otherwise a fairly nice room. There were a lot of people hanging out in the parking lot and outside the rooms.

The pillows weren’t the best, it’s a little outdated and the hot tub was broken which was something I was looking forward to. The staff was amazing each and every one of them were nice and helpful. The stay was nice though. The people who stay there often were also nice. I would stay again and just bring my own pillows lol

For starters, I did early check in but waited two hours for my room to be ready. Then I get the room; when I approach my room there’s bags of trash and dirty blankets outside of it, presumably from the people who stayed in the room before me... I walk in and whoah, the place is not only outdated but extremely dusty, literal dust on the desk and side table. I then stepped in a giant brown puddle that my shoe stuck to on the carpet. Since it was so late in the day and with the staff already low on clean rooms, I decide to suck it up. It got worse, there were splatters of unknown substances on the headboard, mirror door for the cloest and in the kitchen. I took a shower to discover only one clean towel, the rest had little black hairs on them. Additionally, the shower also had multiple hairs and wouldn't drain properly. I ended up keeping my shoes on during my entire stay as the floors were disgusting .The next morning I found long black hairs tangled into the sheets (I don't have black hair) and blankets while making the bed, not to mention orange stains. It was truly one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. On top of all of that, parking was $17.00 a day.

I had to leave the property before the day of my flight back because someone broke into my room. The hotel manager said that they would only be available to assist us the next day, but we would have to stay at the same hotel while waiting for an answer. The hotel staff working that day guaranteed it was not someone from the hotel staff, which made it scarier.

Location was great, right across the convention center. Maintenance can be a little better i.e. broken cupboards, little mold in the cupboards. Maybe hire more housekeepers during major events, some rooms weren't ready by check-in time. There were 2 ladies at the front desk that were very nice and try to accommodate us as best as they can.

The check in service was nice. The first room was infested with ants and door to downstairs bedroom had a broken window, as well as the chairs were pilling. The man can in with a fumigation bomb and some spray that was not ant spray because he was out of ant spray. We change rooms at 11pm. The second room had a big mouse hole in the wall. While getting ready to check out the large glue track was noticed behind the trash can under the kitchen sink. Had the trap been seen the night of stay, We would not have stayed in the room. This in the 4th room if Been in at this residence inn and all 4 rooms sink faucet in kitchen were in very poor condition. Water skirting out and was running all over the sink. I hate to complain but this facility is not being maintained very well! The beds are great and sleep well. The area is closer to me and I wish I could stay without issues.

CONS: Grounds were just gross. I stayed here with my dog and clearly everyone else did too, because there was dog crap EVERYWHERE. Dog area had garbage cans but no poop bags so that may be part of the problem, but there are grassy areas throughout the property and there were land mines everywhere. There was also bagged garbage everywhere, leading me to believe they either need more public garbage cans, more housekeeping staff, or probably both. Room was fine as far as size and amenities but all furniture was shabby, bed was uncomfortably hard, fridge was LOUD, a/c was LOUD, noise from outside was loud, and my bathroom fan/light (also loud) kept turning on and blinking all by itself. I want reiterate that all the staff were terrific but the management/ownership of this place should be ashamed of themselves for making such nice people work in such a garbage hotel. For reference - I normally camp or stay in Motel 6 with zero problems. I’m pretty easy to please. If I’m grossed out and bothered, it’s BAD.

If your room is on the first floor and next to the outside airconditioner, it is a little noisy.

My upstairs unit had a very bad roach problem. The remote was missing in the bedroom. The mirrors in the bathroom were both hanging. I dod not have good room service and they told me because I held the room thru Expedia they would not give me a refund but points. I may have to sue them in court and I took video of the infestation. It was very disgusting and the roaches were bad. They almost landed on our food. The host did not seem too concerned, but they did offer us another Unit. The jacuzzi did not work. It was very hard to get breakfast because they kept running out of food and large lines. Good food to eat 😋. Overall they get a 3. Everyone was polite and theysaid they were going to shut that unit down and get it sprayed. The front closest had a terrible smell as well.

I stay with this property you once a month for a few years now and I've always remembered me and my preferences and made me have a wonderful stay.

Staff were very friendly, complimentary breakfast was good. Only complaint I have is the rooms need to be remodeled and carpet needs a deep cleaning . Overall no complaints.

The property looks good from the outside. Everything inside the room was not as clean as it should be. People who are staying in this hotel look very sketchy. The cleaning crew people are not consistently coming even when you request the service. There were 3 of us in the room to begin with. But they kept bringing only 2 sets of towels when they cleaned the room which was 2 or 3 times in the 8 days that we stayed at the property. I saw a cockroach on the wall once. The headboards for both beds were dirty with some stains. It is more like 2.25 star hotel vs. 3-star hotel as it is advertising itself.

We booked this hotel because we had very good experience with residence inn before I stayed here for 7 days i am very upset with matters and sofa bed in room i literally feel springs in my sofa bed we managed because we have two infants and we bring their mattress with us as well as my room light it stop working in last 2 days

I booked the penthouse. There was a glass shelf in my bathroom that was hanging off the wall with the glass part falling off. The bath wash dispenser was empty. The phone was unplugged. So I plugged it in, but wouldn't work. The couch cushions were flat and the hardware from the pull out bed were exposed and kind of dangerous for my littles to sit and play around. When I shook out the sheets, a used offensive latex item fell out. I had to walk to the front desk to make a complaint so my kids could hear what I had to say plus I had no room phone to contact them anyway. The only Good thing I can say, is that the front desk associates were so understanding and very accommodating. They were swift and quick to find a sufficient solution and continued to help correct this very insanely wrong occurrence. I hope that management will do their due diligence to ensure proper maintenance and sanitary cleanliness for the entire establishment. It's misleading to see the Marriott name, but not have Marriott standards accommodation and amenities

It's near the mall and top golf it was a great night and of course no drinking and driving so staying here for a few hours watching some TV definitely helped. Shout out to the receptionist. She was awesome!

It is time for an update the room smelled like mold and old carpet the towels were dirty the tub was dirty the shower head needs to be replaced I wouldn’t stay here again

We enjoy staying here because it's like having a little apartment. The rooms have a foll size refrigerator, stove, microwave, so you can bring food and drinks without having to go out all the time !

Stay was as expected

The bathroom was another issue, the 1st day we started having plumbing issues, there was some kind of patch job above the toilet on the ceiling that looked horrible and like it might just collapse at any moment. We werent able to just change rooms because we were just too busy during our stay, and we shouldnt have needed to check in to a room just to have to be inconvenienced to move to another. This hotel is normally great to stay at and we will continue to come back but this particular trip was just a bad one.

Stayed here to catch up with friends who has a layover. One night stay. Pet friendly, which was great. Its not a W hotel. But it does what it needs to do. The rooms are clean

Check in and staff wonderful, but had bugs in kitchen, on wall and top of bed. Non- smoking room, you could smell cigarette smoke in mattress. Property really looking its age. When you are paying close to $200 a night, you expect a little better.

Terrible all around. Stayed for 5 days with family. First off the property is run down and dirty, bags full of trash in walk ways and in bushes. A lot of things not working in room, garbage disposal didn't work, i cooked meals a lot rather than order takeout. The sink clogged up bad and was very slow to drain. Bathroom sink clogged up too. Carpet very dirty, furniture old and ripping . Phone in room did not work we had to walk to front desk a couple times to request clean bed sheets because i think they dont change out the bed sheets, i found blood drops and what i thought was fecal stains on comforter. So we finally got clean sheets "yea right " they were stained with make-up and the yellow stains. We just didn't use the comforter the thin sheets were cleaned so thats all we had at night for the kids to use. The pool was dirty. no one was in it the spa was out of order. Front desk said the pool gets cleaned everyday bit i doubt it and they told me the spa had been out of service for quite some time. Really? So i guess they dont have plans on getting it fixed. At night it can get a little roudy with guests yelling and using profanity. It was the worst hotel ive ever stayed in. It sure did not feel like a Marriott. Marriott needs to drop this place.

Like larger room and kitchenette. It was very dated . Concerned about ? bedbug seen .

Although I had some issues with my room it was resolved and my stay was very good I felt safe and there were good options to see around the area! It’s not to far from a lot of places.The room was clean. The only complaint I have would be the reception desk doesn’t really answer the phone if you call it from the room phone and you’re on hold for a really long time but other than that it was good!

Love this hotel very clean love the staff. Breakfast is delicious. Kitchens are nice and soft beds heated pool BBQ all over! Best hotel!! Love it here

One night stay across from convention center

I've stayed at plenty of hotel, motels, suites, etc, over the years and this is by far my absolute favorite of them all! The layout of the property itself creates the feel of an apartment complex so it doesn't feel like a stuffy hotel and coupled with the fire place in every unit, this by far feels most like home, very comfortable, and breakfast is quite impressive!

Bad: Rooms are getting a little run down. Our electronic door tap opener was broken and we had to have staff open our room for us, but twice we were left out of our room for like 10-15 minutes until being able to get in. Worst: these hotel rooms at this property are more like those of an apartment complex. There were other trashy guests below us who were literally screaming and swearing at each other until well into the middle of the night. Slamming into walls, throwing things. My entire family felt incredibly unsafe because of this. And the guests across the way had their door open, were blaring music until all hours of the night, had ladies coming and going dressed like prostitutes, and made the entire surrounding area smell like marijuana. Live life however you want, but not when you’re at a hotel with other guests and families nearby. Of course we didn’t want to report anything to the hotel or the police because we didn’t want any trouble or retaliation from the trashy guests, so we just shut up and took it like all the descent people of the world have to constantly do. Would absolutely never stay here again because of this, and it’s sad because it isn’t about the property or the location itself, just the guests that were there. Maybe we just had bad luck.

Easy walk to the convention center.

We liked our stay in LA at this property; it made us feel home away from home. The staff is courteous, and pancakes at breakfast were the kids' favorite, though we ran out of them for a few days. That was only a sour point.

It was great

The door to the room was off centered so I was stuck wrestling with it with my luggage in my hand. Also got stuff from the inside a few times. There was holes in the carpet, and the walls are thin so you can hear any and everything outside. The pots and pans were dated. The shower had hair in it and the body wash holder was dirty. This is my first time staying at a residence inn and having an off experience. Just needs a major upgrade. I would recommend paying a little more for a hotel in the area if you can.

The Residence Inn is in a great location for the Ontario Convention Center. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was nice to have separate HVAC and water heating and it was quiet. However the furniture was very shabby and in need of replacement. The couch cushions were fraying and the vinyl on the bar stools and ottoman were peeling so bad that they should be in the dumpster. The wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. And the carpet was stained and bunched up. The outsides of the buildings and stairs need painting and a lot of the sidewalks need to be replaced because they are a serious trip hazard from tree roots lifting the concrete. Everything was just old and desperately in need of replacement. But the staff were friendly and doing their best with what they had to work with.

Parking prices add up for the duration of your stay. The units are a bit outdated but convenient given the location and price. If you’re on the first floor, expect to hear everything from guests on the second floor. The staff are great!

One of my worst night, staying in a hotel with the upstairs tenants partying all night, playing music fighting all night dancing on the ceiling all night smoking pot all night keeping us up till three in the morning with no security with a check up

Rooms 2114 223. There was no dish soap, only dishwasher powder. Room 2114 All of the dishes in the cabinet had dried food particles proving no one is actually washing these dishes.Room 2114 The top blanket on the bed looked like it had been ran over by a dirty suite case so I opted NOT to sleep on the bed. The chairs had hideous patches of the fake leather peeling off and no one bothered to replace those chairs. The carpet isn’t even clean and had spots and particles as if it wasn’t vacuumed. The carpet also was not tailored on the edges meaning it looked like they just took a pair of scissors to cut the space out in the carpet in front of the fireplace. The toilet seat in room 223 needed replacing as it was peeling just like the chairs in 2114 AND the entire toilet seat in room 2114 moves, it needs to be tightened.

Older buildings and tub very slippery. Faucets we’re old and in need of updating.

It is good for an extended stay with full kitchen. Property is well maintained and staff is courteous. Convenient location.

The room was rather clean, but the sliding glass door and the window did not have screens so they could not be opened and the closet only had one mirror door. But other than that, our stay was great like always.

I really like the property and the area but on the last day we saw roaches in the dishwasher. I been using it for the whole time we were staying there. Everything was good until we were to check out and I wanted to clean the dishwasher since we been using it and now any used dishes seemed contained but i saw roached inside. I brought it up to the front desk upon leaving and it took 4 days for someone to reach out to me. I sent them photos and videos and I felt very uncomfortable. If I knew about this before hand i wouldnt have stayed at that room..i have pictures and videos of the incident.

The stay was ok. Didn’t know about $17 parking charge prior to check in. Won’t be staying there again, not very well lit by rooms at night.

The room was spacious and ok but dated and was grateful for the pet friendliness but it seems like an extended living facility that was unkempt.

Front desk was super helpful and very respectful Angie is great at what she does. Our room was amazing. We got the penthouse 2 bedroom which was great for my family. Room has a full size kitchen… Pots, Pans, utensils, everything you need. We will definitely come back.

Horrible stay

The property was very convenient to the convention center for the event we were attending. It was walkable to numerous restaurants. The staff were all pleasant. And like most places maid service non-existent unless requested. Items needed were brought by a staff person. Eggs the first couple of days were cold. The juice machine was non-functional the entire week we were there. And the bathroom outside the breakfast area was out of order, also the entire week. The exterior of the buildings are beginning to show wear and deterioration, however, inside the units were in good condition. Although we liked having the 2 bedroom, 2 baths, the stairs, especially with luggage for our senior group was difficult.
