Very clean, beautiful grounds, helpful staff, renovated with modern adminiities all around. Walking distance to town.

The location was perfect—right beside the pier and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything we wanted to explore. Our room was fantastic, with an enormous picture window overlooking the ocean and a balcony complete with rocking chairs. Sitting outside listening to the sounds of the waves was incredibly calming. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've slept in while traveling. We also loved the easy beach access, the relaxing pool area, and spending evenings by the fire pit listening to the ocean. One of the highlights was watching deer grazing in front of the hotel near the beach—it was such a peaceful and unexpected sight. If you're looking for a relaxing oceanfront getaway with beautiful views, a great location, and comfortable accommodations, we highly recommend staying here.

The property has recently redone their whole outdoor area with new decking and a new patio area. We ate all our meals out on the patio. Our room couldn't have had a better view! The rocking chairs on the balcony were comfortable, although it's hard to see the beach through the handrail. The breakfast was okay, if you like pre-packaged manufactured food-like products, much like most hotel breakfasts. Thankfully I brought my own protein sources for breakfast. (I will say, the gal managing the kitchen was lovely and very kind!)

Great staff, location, clean, comfy bed. So so breakfast. Person walking in room above sounded like she could stomp through the roof. No elevator available for our particular room.

Very clean room and modern bathroom. One of the cleanest places I've ever stayed in. It was quiet and peaceful and the staff friendly and attentive. Bed left my back a little stiff but otherwise slept well.

Perfect location—walking distance from the pier, mini golf, and a great park! Loved having an onsite breakfast included! My kids enjoyed the heated indoor pool since the weather wasn’t great :) Property and staff were all exceptional!

Upon arrival on the first day the check in was not welcoming. But the overall experience was great. The only suggestions I have was to have a shower locations to rinse off your feet from the beach.The customers was tracking sand in the pool. The smoke locations was ridiculous the room next to ours 125 had the door open and you can clearly smell smoke. Its was even harder to enjoy the beach because of the cigarettes smell blowing towards everyone. I came to spend my birthday weekend with my family I wanted a beach view the only option was the parking lot available. We would love to come back once it's warmer. Cigarettes smell on the beach. No shower locations after coming from the beach Sand in the pool No beach view no balcony Weather was cold and rainy Check in was not welcoming

Complimentary breakfast was a nice unexpected touch. Being so close to the beach was very convenient. Having a clean bathroom to use downstairs if you needed to go while on the beach is a huge plus. Not having to drag everything to your own room was great. We thought we were getting an ocean front room but it wasn’t.

It was right on the beach. The breakfast was decent. The pool area was clean and loved all the pools. The beds were comfortable and clean. Loved the overall location in OIB… I didn’t like that there was only one elevator in the middle of the building and we were 4 units away. Didn’t like that they blocked off the underground parking to say they were painting and never painted.

I loved the hotel because I can sit on the balcony and rocking their blue rocking chair, slept like a rock and they're comfortable beds, and can't wait to come back again and enjoy the pool. They have Continental breakfast which was okay. The room could use some new light fixtures. But other than that it was just fine for what the price of the room was and the location. Will be back.

Some mildew in the shower, the bottom of the bathroom door was warped and damaged. The breakfast was really just cereal, yogurt and waffles. Those being my only small gripes and not even issues. This place is amazing. Beach front with access. Showers at the edge of the beach to rinse off. Two pools and a hot tub.walking distance to the pier and restaurants.

It is in a small quiet town. Very nice. It was clean for the most part. Could stand a good deep cleaning. In the corners and such. Get the hard water stain off of things. The bathroom door could use a replacement. The backside of the door was peeling.

Last minute booking and usually do not stay at beach inns. Check in was frustrating due to lecture on parking which can be scarce. Noise level Saturday night was excessive and walls must be paper thin. My wife had a couple of things missing and I can't recall when we have had any concerns about items at risk of being taken. The facility is very clean and the location is great.

We had a great view in the ocean front king. We will definitely be back. Super clean rooms and customer service was top tier. Thank you for the best stay!

The staff is beyond amazing. Everyone is so helpful. The staff has been there for a long time. We really like this hotel has nice pools located on the ocean and walking distance from a lot of restaurants. It does need some upgrading. It is an older hotel but it doesn’t bother us as the staff is phenomenal.

All of the staff members were great, especially in the breakfast room. But, speaking of the breakfast room - subpar food selection at best. Parking can be very difficult in a larger vehicle. Location and beach view were nice. I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The main issue was having to park across the street since we arrived later in the evening. Having to haul bags and kids across the street and then having to make sure the car was moved at a specified time the next morning so we wouldn't be towed.

Really great stay. Great location. Clean and great staff!! The exhaust fan in our room 217 Tahiti needs replacing it is so so loud and mold/mildew is present. The coffee in the lobby near check in was out of commission part of our trip when my daughter went to get coffee Friday morning. View was great! Only one pkg of coffee for our room with 4 people staying.

Visit March 25-28, 2026. Very CLEAN and helpful & polite staff. Great breakfast (7am to 10am)=hard boiled eggs, Chobani yogurt, bagels, individual pastries, waffles, milk, microwaveable sausage biscuits, fruit cups, oatmeal, and cold cereal. Plenty of parking, indoor & outdoor pool (open until 11pm) with towels, wooden walkway to beach has place to rinse off sand (showers & foot showers), close to beach, great view of ocean from our ocean front balcony, comfortable beds, office had beer ($4.50 a can). Ocean Isle has clear water and the town is very clean. Not many places to eat but we found Duffy's Bar & Grill, in Shallotte; prices reasonable, portions large, live music, $5.50 beer, $10-8" sub...worth the 10 minute drive. Office open 24/7; if you need anything the staff at the front desk is so helpful. The staff was so nice! Short walk to the pier; closest place to stay if you want to be by the pier (without renting a house). Cost to walk on pier = $2. Cost to fish on pier with your own poles = $10. Cost to fish on pier with rented poles = $20. There is an outdoor church in the neighboring lot (Sundays at 8:30 am?). Pier has small store where you can purchase beer and snacks; also an arcade for the kids. A couple of surf shops and close to grocery store (Publix). You should not be disappointed if you stay at Ocean Isle Inn.

The hotel was clean, and was right on the water, but the staff was a bit lacking… the fire pit wasn’t working and the heated indoor pool was closed. We stayed a couple of nights and our room wasn’t cleaned while we were there. When we requested clean towels we had to go down to the office to get them. The woman that worked in the breakfast room was delightful!

First time staying here- room was very clean. Comfortable beds- hot shower. Breakfast had a good selection—waffles, danishes, bagels, cereal, fruit. Coffee was good. Would definitely stay here again. We did not use the hot tub or laundry so cannot attest to those amenities. Friendly staff.

The breakfast was good. The view is excellent. The people are very helpful and nice. We stayed in February, so it wasn't crowded.

The room was great, could tell it had been updated with some amenities. All the staff was friendly and seemed to be nice people. We loved the view of the beach and the quiet time we had. Ms. Karen was very friendly as she kept the breakfast area clean and stocked she had a long convo with my boyfriend. The continental breakfast was pretty good most hotel don't offer most of that. It def was in a great area for us to go and venture out being our first time in this area. We will most definitely return and have been telling our friends and family about this area.

The only negative was the internet. There was bandwidth enough to check your email. However if you want to kick back game after day at the beach or just game on a rainy day you better have a high bandwidth internet hot spot because their internet speeds won't handle it. Brings up memories of dial up.

Room was large and well-furnished. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Lots of extras like a firepit, breakfast with lots of variety, pool and hot tub. Only a few steps to the beach!

The constant walking through the breezeway was a pain. Also, the hotel should consider the type of guests when giving rooms. The entire stay we had families with “noisy children” in the adjoining room. Need a family section.

This cute little beachfront place is perfect for a couple. Direct beach access with both an indoor and outdoor pool. Everything was spotlessly clean. The beds are comfy and our room had a little balcony overlooking the ocean. It was also nice and quiet and not a lot of traffic in the area.

When we first got to the hotel we met Rebecca, she was friendly and accommodating. The pool was clean and beautiful. The beach was right behind our room which was great. The fire pit was a great addition, just ask the staff to put it on for you. I really liked how up to date and clean the room and the hotel was. I even saw the staff cleaning the exterior room doors, I have never seen anyone ever do that The breakfast area was overlooking the pool which brought in the sunlight. The breakfast was good. I will definitely be back.

Good location and pretty view. Continental Breakfast- was next to zero choices. Indoor Pool and hot tub were not working. Outdoor pool area had lots of ants. AC in room not working upon arrival but was fixed quickly. Gnats and fruit flies in the room- to the point that there was spray already in the bathroom. Lots of construction seemed to be underway, so hopefully next season the updates will be complete.

BookEd an extra front room did not receive that was told they were sold out. It was like basically the only hotel within 15 miles and anything near the beach so we just took the room. The gentleman at the front desk was not helpful. The worm side definitely nothing special. I think it’s really nice about the place is the outdoor amenities which we sat outside looked at but did not use because we were only there for one night and I already had plans.

Stayed here for our friends wedding. The coordinated everything for them on the beach! Facility was great, staff very nice and location convenient to everything!

Perfect ocean front/view nicely air conditioned. Everything we wanted to do was within very reasonable range. Plus the town of Ocean Isle is one of our favorites, along withe Emerald Isle.

This was a good place to stay right on the beach with easy beach access and nice pools and hot tub good self parking The bad apparently don’t book in September there was a flying insect infestation they were everywhere I couldn’t use my balcony because of them lighting on all the chairs

Super friendly and helpful staff. Extremely clean. I even saw an employee cleaning the luggage cart and saw employees picking up trash and cigarette butts on the grounds. Convenient parking in an otherwise congested area and private beach access. Very reasonably priced for a holiday weekend. We will be back and would highly recommend.

Ocean Isle Inn was a great stay, spacious, clean, updated room, extremly friendly, accommodating staff and very good breakfast. Karen in the breakfast room was so welcoming and full of great information. Ed and Jay were awesome at check in, giving us dinner recommendations and helping us when our keys were not working for our room.

We had the best time on our first girls trip to Ocean Isle! Your Ocean Isle Inn property was fantastic in every way! From the moment we arrived you made every step so easy, friendly, and enjoyable! This is an exceptional property situated on the beach. We visited in late May and the beach was not crowded. Not a large hotel, but I liked the design of the buildings very much. Definitely a place to relax. The hotel amenities were very good and I will definitely be back in the future.

I liked that i was right on the beach for this trip, I went for an overnight trip to the beach and the room was quick and easy to book. There was quick and easy check in.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We went the first week of June Tuesday through Friday. Everything was very clean. It's right on the water, so that's great. There weren't many people on the beach. Maybe because of the timing. Lots of dining options. Inlet View on Shallotte River had amazing mahi mahi and rice. We went to the indoor pool and hot tub twice. One family was in the pool once. We stayed in room 206. The shower was roomy with a good shower head. The AC unit worked wonderfully. We'll definitely stay again!

Nice beachfront hotel at a reasonable price. Rooms are a comfortable size and include all the necessities. Staff was great and very helpful. The breakfast is your normal hotel fast food breakfast - nothing special and if you eat healthy, there are few options. Overall we were pleased with the value we received for the price.

Amazing location and great staff. My wife and two kids stayed here for 5 nights and we will most definitely return. You can't get any closer to the beach. Having an indoor and outdoor pool was great for the kids after full days at the beach. The free breakfast was also incredibly convenient. All of the staff were more than accommodating and made us feel very welcome.

This inn is a little gem. The balcony view from the rooms are great. Proximity to the beach is awesome! The pool facing the beach is the best of both worlds for when you don’t want to sit out on the beach. Can walk to almost everywhere in OIB. The only thing I’d say could be better are the breakfast options.

Some improvements i would recommend, having an onsite fitness facility would be helpful. The closest planet fitness is in Shallotte.

This was our first time to Ocean Isle Beach but it definitely will not be our last and Ocean Isle Inn is now our go to spot for our family beach vacations going forward.

The location is right on the beach. We had a great balcony view of the ocean. Check-in was easy. Parking can be a little tight if you have a large SUV. The property was quiet.

Great beachfront access and views. Last stayed here in October 2023 and they’ve since updated the rooms very nicely although the bathroom sinks (vessel style) are terribly dysfunctional, awkward and uncomfortable regardless of how tall or short one might be.

Nice views, good location but “thin” walls. Also for a non-smoking facility, our neighbors didn’t seem to care to adhere. Re-done bathrooms were nice, next stop bedrooms and “breakfast” room decor.

Parking was at a premium. Water in shower never got hot. Continental breakfast was sub par. But nice facility overall. I would stay here again.

There is very limited parking and it is chaotic at best. Cars are everywhere. I was given an adjoining room and my neighbors were up late singing and clapping and it sounded like they were right next to my bed singing in my ear. Also, the water temp in the shower/sink never gets above luke warm. Honestly, this should have been $50/night, not $170. Would not stay here again

This is a great property, overall! It is so convenient to OIB, has beautiful scenic views of the beach, has a heated pool, and quick access to the sand/ocean. The room was a decent size and clean. You park right underneath your room, so it is super easy to get in and out. Great stay!

Check-in was great. Arrived in the middle of a storm after driving for seven hours. The man who checked us in couldn't have been any more helpful or friendly. We checked in late and checked out early, so we didn't see much more than our room. But, the room was nice, and clean, and I'd stay there again.

excellent property! Lots of parking

Great employees, very clean room, very updated and nice furniture. The other guests were just loud and rowdy but it's always that way at the beach. Ppl seem to go there to drink and party while assume if it's go for peace and to relax. That isn't the hotels fault, that's just people being obnoxious and inconsiderate like they tend to be. But the view was excellent, the service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Really great staff, clean and comfortable rooms with an excellent view. Nice amenities even a fire pit and gazebo. Tiny hiccup the morning of checkout we left the room for an early stroll on the beach and returned around 9:45 to grab a shower before check-out, housekeeping was turning out our room (premature & awkward.) Standard Continental breakfast with a super nice attendant. Easy and convenient parking.
