    I thought rooms are soundproof, but nope, my neighbors were talking and walking around midnight, waking me up, i was hearing everything. Not worth the price, spend around 300 per nigh for this. Rooms, shower, bathroom and beds are ok. Breakfast is not free.

    Fast check in. Never had to wait for an elevator. Good location. Comfortable bed. Lighting in room not optimal. Needed a light in the closet and the light near the couch was not in the right place for reading. Also room had an odd sofa not comfortable for 2 people. Breakfast at the restaurant wasn't good and was expenisive. Overall the decor wasn't attractive.

    The location of the property is close to public transit and shopping. Housekeeping was a major perk for me. Nothing like getting back to a clean room. Thank you so much! The room and property were clean. The view from my room was breathtaking! Loved the bath and body products! We were provided enough towels and wash cloths. Overall one of the best stays I've had. I highly recommend this property.

    Everything was great but Valet was pricey. $198 for 3 nights of Valet. Normally I’d be ok with self-parking but having to park across the street at night there didn’t seem like the best option especially if you’re only saving $10 per night.

    Unfortunately the room was not very well maintained. There were a lot of missed details, like (3 glasses instead of 4 for the ice bucket and bathroom), the fitted sheet was barely tucked in, and there was a layer of film and dust on the toilet and on the back of the bathroom counter. Details you miss when you’re in a hurry. Likely they are short staffed or management isn’t giving housekeeping adequate time to turn over rooms. The bed was otherwise comfortable and the shower was very nice with a detachable showerhead. The view from the 7th floor was beautiful + there was a mini fridge to store our items in. All and all, I would stay here again.

    clean room, easy access to bart station as the station entrance is literally in front of the hotel that you can walk in 2 mins. area around the hotel has good mix of restaursnts, cafes and retail stores, bed is good, plenty of hot water, staff very responsive to needs when asked. overall a good modern business hotel. would stay again without hesitation

    Upon arrival at 7pm on a Friday, i was behind one group....it took almost 30 minutes for check in as only one person was working, i found it odd to have that on a holiday weekend..receptionistwas really doing her best! . Room and property was clean. Until the next morning when we exited our room to find someone had lost part of their hair extensions....no biggie....but after housekeeping came through it was still there...for 2 days actually lololol...the location is crazy convenient...people that work here are super nice. Will definitely stay again

    Nothing. The staff was rude and kept trying to double charge you. They kept saying the card that was paid with was declined. I was like the room was pretty booked.     this started with check in. the clerk had no idea what he was doing and royally messed up this reservation. Also they did not know directions to certain places we had to look up on our own. I'm still waiting for my refund as we paid for the room twice. The clerk said the room had not been paid for when in fact it was. Another person in my party had to pay for the room. I was still charged for the room as well.

    Although I ran into booking issues, I was happy with my room. I pre-paid my stay through booking.com, however, when I checked in, I was told by the front desk that no payment was showing for my stay. I showed my confirmation email from booking.com but the front desk clerk told me I needed to pay directly to the hotel in order for me and my wife to stay and to call booking.com to resolve any issues. I was very upset because there should be better communication between the hotel and any third-party booking facility involved.

    This was a very nice hotel and the price I secured was very pleasing to my budget. I was able to visit the Bay Area and not break the bank. The hotel was close to the Jack London Ferry stop so it was an easy quick ride to San Francisco. Also the hotel is only a short walk from the BART stop, to get to and from the San Francisco Airport, so you can save a ton of money using public transportation, no new for rentals or Ubers. The only drawback was that it was not many places that were opened downtown on the weekend for food but I was able to find some good eats in walking distance from the hotel at the Oakland Street Food Cafe, great food. I would highly recommend this property and would stay again if I visited the Bay Area. Its both affordable and convenient to get to. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.

    Everything was lovely. Clean. Comfortable. Nice onsite bar restaurant. All staff courtesy. Have stayed many times and would stay again. Only one complaint: no safety bars in the tub/shower. Challenging for my husband to get out safely

    I was slightly worried for a moment about the site when i tried to confirm my reservation a week before my stay. The hotel could not find my confirmation number from Hotels .com The reservation number that i received was different from the usual hotel confirmation. Going forward, I recommended Hotels .com give the customer a confirmation number that hotel can easily locate. Also a direct number to their site, as well as to speak to a live representative should there be any questions The Hotel Stay: The rates were pretty good. Was told they charge for breakfast, so i passed. Room was clean nicely arranged. Staff was very nice and helpful. My only con was the pricing for self parking. It was pricey. It should be free if you reserve 2 or more rooms. Especially for a one night stay. Would I use this site again ? Perhaps I would. I don't travel much, but overall it was very nice.     My dad and I both enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and prompt. The food was good. I did really like how the parking elevator was attached to the hotel. It was very easy to park overall I would recommend this hotel.

    The location was great. Nice part of Oakland. High walking index score. Near historic Swann's. Near Jack London Square. We went to the Fat Lady Bar and Restaurant. GREAT comfort food and drinks. Valet was slow as molasses. They need more staffing. I hope Marriott Bonvoy doesn't think the valet service at the Oakland Marriott as acceptable. The coffee maker in our room was more appropriate of a budget hotel. The cord on the coffee maker was SO short it would reach the floor to the outlet. If you moved it to the nightstand next to where it was sitting, it barely fits bc the lamp is in the way. The parking lane labelling is confusing: rideshare left lane, drop off right lane. So we went right lane, told the door man we're checking in and using valet. The door man responded, you need to be in the right lane and seemed upset that we were in the wrong lane. Then, we'd left some toiletries in the car. We asked could they bring the car so we could fetch them. The valet said they were too busy and gave me instructions on how to go get them myself! Is this on brand Marriott Bonvoy??? I think the better approach could have been, "Would you mind coming back in 30m when we're less peak and I can assist you." Then when were checking in the person spoke so quickly and softly I couldn't make out what he was saying. I said "I really can't hear a word you are saying." He did not speak any louder or repeated the information until I asked.

    We really liked our room. It had a great view of SF. We loved wine in the lobby for Happy Hour. And we liked the staff at the restaurant. Overall excellent experience. We were there for 5 nights. Very comfortable. We didn't like that we would be charged for internet of we weren't members of Marriott Bonvoy. We were, but really. It's 2026. Who. charges for internet anymore?

    I asked for a luggage cart and porter left to go get one and never returned so we had to carry our bins up to our room. Lastly, someone was smoking weed on our floor and it was aweful - the whole floor stunk. I would not stay here again

    We loved our stay at the Oakland Marriott City Center. The room was clean and a great size. The view was great. The restaurant on site is very very good although pricey. The parking fee is also very expensive but worth it to keep my car safe while we were there. We will always stay at this hotel when we need to come to the convention center. The only thing that would make the day better would be buffet breakfast.

    I was fortunate to have stayed here during my birthday weekend, which is pretty much an annual tradition. I experienced great service and was very pleased with housekeeping checking in with me, everyday. My only regret was that I didn’t stay a few days longer.

    room was nice and spacious , area surrounding was interesting. wouldnt walk around alone but i didnt feel unsafe here being 20 with my 15 year old brother. the doors lock on the outside after a certain time and u need your keycard to open it so that adds to the safety. would stay here again if going to a concert at the oakland arena , also parking was like 10 dollars less then i was told it would be.

    They advertise that breakfast is free but it is only free continental breakfast for MEMBERS. Same goes for the WiFi in the rooms. They charge for everything and if you buy a trip package they treat you like a second class citizen. Still I don't blame the staff but I DO blame the owners of the Marriott. My room and stay itself was quite nice.

    I really like everything about the hotel. The lady that helped he check in was amazing. The only exception was the valet parking. When we arrived it was pretty busy. I was going to get valet parking I talked to one of the guys when i first arrived and he said yes just go check in and come back. When i returned it was a different guy and he said no its going to be a long time tomorrow to get your car. I think he thought we didnt have the means to pay by the car we were driving. I was a little bothered about.

    Very close to restaurants and BART station. Clean, quiet, and safe. This was my second stay. My only complaint about service is that last year, and again during my stay last week, I called for towels and after 12 hours they did not arrive. Last time I had to go to the front desk and this time I had to call again. Also, there are no fans in the bathrooms.

    Well known high rise hotel smack dab in downtown Oakland. Was very convenient for my needs. Very close to BART. If you’re driving; there is a hefty parking fee. My room was very small and kind of strange (triangle shape) but very clean and comfortable. The bedding was nice with feather comforter and feather pillows. I needed to recuperate from a family health crisis and I did not get off this bed for 20 hours!!! Very close walk to multiple coffee shops and farmer’s market. I would definitely stay here again.

    Property is a bit dated. Neighborhood is pretty run down, especially if you stray a few blocks from the hotel. It’s ok if you are flying into Oakland and need a place reasonably close to the airport, but I would not use it as home base for a vacation.

    I was in Oakland for the "Down In Da District" Steppin event. (Dancing) I had a room by myself & wanted to get a room ajoining room next to friends or at least on the same floor but there were an influx of nurses there & the young lady at the desk tried to make this happen for but was not able to. I was placed on the 15th floor, my friends were on the 4th. I had a challenge with that I must say because being that high up did give me some anxiety. In the end, it all worked out. Everything else was fine.

    The staff is so wonderful and patient., I very tired when I arrived, I was not able to understand the fees, and they very kindly explained it to me. The pillows are a little too soft for me, but the bed was very comfortable, the AC worked great, the TV was nice and you can connect with some streaming services. I had a great stay and although it was a little expensive, I would definitely stay again.

    It's a beautiful, clean, pleasant, and delicious hotel. The staff is excellent. I stayed there for five days and felt right at home.     It's a horrible, horrible hotel. I got sick in my lungs. The room smelled horrible, ugly, dirty, it was scary, everything was falling apart. Now I have to go to the doctor to get checked out. I was really only there for about an hour. I think it was less, and I left there and went to another hotel. I had to leave because I couldn't. The hotel is horrible. The photographs and everything there are lies. The hotel isn't like that. There's a lot of crime, a lot of people, it's bad, there's no security, and the hotel is very neglected. Never in my life would I go back to that place.

    Truly enjoyed my stay at the Oakland Marriott City Center! Lovely hotel. The only reason I didn't give it a five-star rating was due to the slow wifi connection. It was difficult to connect to and made Netflix almost impossible to watch.

    Everything with the hotel was fine except for their air conditioner. It wouldn't cool down the room, as it was facing the wall rather than towards the room. And giant window (beautiful bldgs view) but not able to crack it for air. So it made my nights hard to get a decent rest. Temperature is everything to me.

    I left a note stating it was my birthday as a little joke but it really was and I didn’t think housekeeping would see it they saw it and left me a snack on the counter which was the sweetest thing anyone did that day since I had to spend it alone so I really appreciated that gesture would definitely stay there again!

    Staff there were not welcoming or friendly. Some didn’t bother smiling or looking up from their phones. There were a few who were but more who didnt. They have poorly updated rooms and bathrooms. Tubs need teplacing, the floor feels like its going to cave in or break. I would not visit again.

    The room, gym and amenities are great. The staff are great and helpful. Clean and well-maintained. The location in downtown Oakland is excellent. The surrounding area isn’t very good as it’s Oakland. But then again, it’s Oakland so it is what it is.

    Amazing stay! The location is perfect juts steps from the BART. The area felt safe and there was even a security guard at the property. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We can for a concert at Oakland Arena and it was a great location for that! Would absolutely stay again!!

    It was a really convenient area to stay in. Very close to the BART. We did however ask the front desk 3 separate times for additional towels and bed linens, none of which were ever received. Eventually we asked one of the housekeeping staff and they were kind enough to give us additional linens.

    We were extremely upset over the lack of food, when someone checks in after 10PM. There should be some type of food service for guests. The small selection in the lobby is very limited also!!
