I like the fact it was by the water? The fact that I was charged $374for 2 nights and I still have yet to see my security deposit refunded back to my card

Two major reasons for the low rating. First, the Expedia listing said there was an EV charging station, but the desk clerk said there was not. I found the EV station in the parking lot, but it was disconnected. Useless. Second, the hotel website says “housekeeping on request.” We requested it and no housekeeper ever showed up during our three night stay.

Receptionist tried to address our needs. She did not succeed at all but she was nice Rooms smelled of smoke. Freeway traffic very loud. Paid for king rooms and got queens. I asked for room near each other (mental disability) in am and they did not reserve those rooms for us I spoke to hotel receptionist in am and she said they had many rooms available. Very disappointed. Never stay here again!!!

Location Not maintained well. The heater air conditioner in my room ran all night with cold air even after I adjusted the thermostat the room was small not even enough room for a night table on the left side of the bed would not recommend!

I didn't like some of the guests did not clean up after there dogs on the walking trails outside the hotel.

The room was OK at best. Furniture was very dated. Laminate was coming off in the kitchen no central air portable air conditioner that worked OK friendly but I wouldn’t recommend staying there.

Next we opened the heavy mirror closet door to hang clothes, and the door completely fell off and hit my husband. Next morning AC couldn’t be fixed. Moved us to another room. AC broken there! When they tried to repair this one, it was so bad they had to replace the whole unit which took 4 hours! We kept loosing WiFi when we left the room and had to keep going to the desk to get promotional codes because we booked through Expedia instead of directly through the hotel. The one positive is that the housekeepers were friendly and the room was spotless.

This is the second time that I have stayed here. It was peaceful, and the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable. The first time we stayed here, we were in a well-equipped ADA bathroom.

Everything about my room and stay here was top notch. My bay view was delightful, service was excellent, and breakfast was fantastic. I visit the Bay Area often and this will be my accomodations from now on. Well done!

The staff was wonderful and the lobby looks great. However, one of our bed sheets was a dust ruffle, we were missing shampoo, but had double conditioner, the bathroom wallpaper was peeling.

The location on the Estuary was wonderful, and the view that included the sparking waters, the rowing crews practicing on the water, the sailboats, the beautiful sunsets, and the quiet solitude at night, all added to a wonderful stay. The icing on the cake though was provided by Layla, the front desk clerk. She was the friendliest, most professional, and helpful worker we have experienced in a hotel in a long time! Overall, a surprisingly wonderful stay! As an early-riser I wish the coffee was available a bit earlier than 6:00 am, but this is such a minor issue... Otherwise I have nothing negative to write.

Price The location, the smell of weed in the hallway, the window lock was broken, the excessive wear and tear in the rooms with little good fixes to make it look good for guests. Wouldn’t stay here again. Canceling reservations with this hotel for a future trip to the area later this year.

That the lake was nearby. Honestly not many good things to say about this property. No security present, unsafe location. Car was broken into and they still charged me parking. They couldn’t even comp it. Just ridiculous. Would not recommend anyone to stay here not even my worst enemy. I will never return.

the place is good but the thing is my partner is pwd and the elevator is not working thats the hard part for us.

My first floor window didn’t lock and the screen had been tampered with, then my fiancée and I were woken up to police arresting someone across the hall in the middle of the night, then we woke up to our room door slightly open, then we got moved to another room and the balcony looked like it was rotted. Then we asked for more pillows and were given pillows in a bag of trash that included chewed up gum after complaining and needing to be moved. There was dog poop outside all over the property.

Our room was outdated and in need of repair. A guest next to us smoded both pot and cigarettes for 2 days. We asked to move rooms and were not accommodated. We had to leave a day early (after 8 nights) and asked for a refund for the last night. Have not seem a credit yet.

The bathroom shower for disabled was disgusting, black mold or mildew with peeling caulk and vinyl molding, brown stains running down the wallpaper. Bathroom looked dirty and in desperate need of maintenance attention and repairs. The entire closet door to the suite was missing etc.

Im pretty sure we paid for a room facing the water but it instead faced the freeway. Tried calling the front desk multiple times with no answer. Hairs and mold in the bathroom hairs stuck to the back of the desk chair. Kiddos was sleeping on the pull out and when youvopened it there was an old crumpled up used sheet in the middle. We were only there for a concert and were running late otherwise we would have found a different hotel. For almost $300 it was definitely not worth it. Woke up and went outside in the mornings and prostitutes still hanging around outside. Old broken down Rvs parked all along the roads with people living in them. Not an ideal location or rooming situation.

The hot water did not work and the front desk staff was indifferent about the issue. They said they would call maintenance and get back to me, but never did. The hot water never came on. The service I received was stellar and they always helped me with my key which was several times. I would highly recommend this place for the view of the waterfront on the deck and the German restaurant near the place. The place is wonderful due to the people who work there.

We ended up getting one room. It was so nasty that they switched us to another room. That was even more nasty. I have pictures if needed and the staff just kept me on hold for 15 minutes to try to find another room. Why did I need to be on hold? Why couldn’t she just call the room back? The room phones have no speakerphone so you literally have to hold the phone while the carpet is so nasty you can’t take your shoes off .

I was very disappointed on my last day. I brought my dog with me she is a 12 pound Shitzu/ Maltese. We made our way to to dinning Area for breakfast. This is supposed to be a pet friendly hotel. I prepared my breakfast and made my way to my sit to eat. My dog barked a few times. Once I came to the table she became quite. The front desk clerk Connie P. Told me to leave eating area with my dog. Not with please! Nothing. I thought it was rude and against Ada for those with disabilitie issues. This is the first time I’ve been to a hotel without a generator. Our first night was disappointing. Went back to rest but saw the lights are out. Ordered in room service but front desk called me to pick it up. I guess they should have not posted it as in room service in thr first place. Overall it was ok but I will never come back to this place.

The furniture is poorly assembled and out of plumb. Drawers opened on their own. Carpets were shredded in some areas. Needs updating for sure.

Only 2 issues: our a/c stayed only at 77 (we didnt ask for maintenance), and just a suggestion, but theres nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom. Maybe add a little stand by the side of the sink? Thanks again

The lobby area is nice and stafff were friendly, and the small store is convenient. I really liked the patio area overlooking the marina. However the stairwell in the easternmost building had old, dirt stained carpets and there was a huge bag of trash at the end of the hallway on my level. The bathroom and walls in my room could have been cleaner, and the kitchen cabinets were broken.

The lobby area is nice and stafff were friendly, and the small store is convenient. I really liked the patio area overlooking the marina. However the stairwell in the easternmost building had old, dirt stained carpets and there was a huge bag of trash at the end of the hallway on my level. Everything was very nice. We arrived at 6 a.m. and they were able to find a room for us which we appreciated.

Cable in room did not work. had to change rooms. Carpeting in hallways was dirty and stained. Elevator was banged up.

Quiet even though right next to freeway. Not many options for dining that are close. Parking was not very easy

I initially had a problem with my room, but the lady at the front desk was kind and handled it immediately. The staff was friendly the room was great and they even served a nice breakfast. Overall I was very pleased.

Disappointing stay at Homewood. An old hotel with stained carpets, smelly rooms, tv that did not work properly, snack area with not enough variety of snacks. The German restaurant (the only one within walking distance) was hideous and horrible food. Would never stay there again and definitely would not recommend.

She just kept chatting with others in cafeteria not even staying at the reception desk. And made customer come and go from 3 rd floor 3 times and standing in front of the door with luggages in that evening. She should come to the room and solved the issue which ended up with her fault. And no apologize for that. Poor service.

Main light in room didn’t work. Light over kitchenette made awful loud noise. Bathroom disgusting including stains left in toilet. Sheets on bed didn’t fit and popped off corners when laid down. Smelled.

They are about a star in a half away from being Motel 6 status…breakfast was ok on the second morning there.

The property was nice. The only down side is they charged 100 dollars more. They didn't explain. When i check my bank account there was 100 charged to my card.

The front desk staff was nice, however, my room had a wet moldy smell and the hallway carpet to the bathroom was wet and damp. I try getting a room change but was not able to.

The back of the property faced the estuary and Coast Guard Island. The was a long outdoor walkway and great outdoor seating with a fire pit, pool, hot tub, and numerous tables and chairs.

Loved having the trail right by the hotel. Lovely views and very quiet.

We complained as this was not reflective of Hilton properties and after multiple non understanding staff, Daniella / front staff understood our frustration / grievances and found a workable solution to make our stay enjoyable. I can only say that this property needs a redo for old wing and more of Daniella’s.

Property really needs updating. Rooms were clean. You need a vehicle or be prepared to taxi or ride share from the hotel. Looks like the area is undergoing a rebuild but is still kind of sketchy.

When you charge the prices this place does you should expect basic amenities to be intact. My tub plugged each time i shoqered the carpets were filthy and the place reallyed needed some maintenance

your hotel is the most unsafe place I have ever been in years of my travels. It was also filthy. I didn't stay at your hotel after my car was broken into within 30 minutes of our arrival. While your staff somewhat apologetic, it was clear that this happens all the time. I am appalled that we were charged to park but yet no there is no security provided for what is a regular problem of smash and grabs in your parking lot. There was little to no effort to provide any feeling of safety in your hotel so we chose to leave. I asked for a call from management and after 48 hours I have heard nothing.

Property was not up to par and brow standard for a Hilton property. Pictures were very misleading and overall nowhere near the price I paid for the stay.

The hotel was very nice with a great view of the bay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Oakland is a terrible place to visit. It’s filthy dirty and extremely dangerous. Homeless people are everywhere breaking into vehicles to steal. There were even some homeless people sneaking into the hotel to eat the breakfast buffet. If you must visit Oakland be very careful where you go, or stay out of town completely.
