    Overall the property was fine for a very short stay, but the rooms need some serious updating. The tub was old and the drain was broken. The lightening was poor in the room and the one restaurant had very bad food options. The area itself wasn’t safe and I wouldn’t recommend for solo travelers.

    Excellent place to stay. We were very happy. Only issue was the refrigerator. It had a button to push to turn it on and it kept it on for 2 hours and then it stopped. Lost the food we put in it, but still a great place to stay.

    The hotel itself was nice. It was clean and we always saw workers cleaning. Our room was spacious, had bathroom amenities, fridge and nice, cozy beds. When we opened the door to our room it had the smell of old cigarettes, but opening the window helped. (Hopefully they see this and take care of it) The pool was small, but perfect! We were the only ones there all day. Very clean, had nice lounge chairs in the sun and shade as well as clean towels. The only negative was there weren't bathrooms nearby. We had to go to our room. There are plenty of quick eats nearby; Chipotle, Round Table, etc. There is a Chevron with a quick mart that had everything we needed (sunscreen and White Claw, lol) Public bus was right outside and only 2-3 stops from a major BART station, which was at the coliseum/arena. The free transportation to the airport was excellent! We called when we landed and we were picked up within minutes. Now, don't expect the nicest neighborhood. But, we felt safe. It was just myself and my daughter. I'd recommend if you're main destination was the coliseum or arena or just a place to lay your head. Otherwise, there's not much around.

    It was an okay stay for the night of the concert we attended. Im usually leaving great reviews for marriott but this one is just okay. There was a bit of a wait when we checked in, like ten min so they didnt charge me for parking which was nice. The reception staff was nice enough. The carpet in the hallway was stained. The carpet in the room was dirty, badly stained furniture. The bed was clean and comfortable so that was great. The tv didnt work but im not much of a tv person so that was ok. It was close to the venue we attended so thats a plus. I wouldn't stay again. It didnt live up to the marriot standards im used to.

    The outdoor seating,and furniture was very nice and cozy. The hotel all in all was inviting. Would have liked the fireplace outdoors lit. Need to be repaired. Need cleaner covers on seating around outdoor fireplace area.

    My room had stains on the carpet in front of the sink including one large one and many small ones. They looked like old blood. I was too tired to change rooms. The hot water at the sink took a very long time to get hot.

    The reception staff was courteous and helpful, arranging a Lyft ride, from the airport, and an early AM pick up to return to the airport. The hotel common areas an my room were clean and comfortable. I look forward to staying here, again.

    The hotel is not the newest.. that being said the front desk staff were knowledgeable friendly, and thoughtful. The housekeeping staff obviously take pride in their work. The room was spotless with little fancy touches you find in 5 star hotels. The bed was really comfortable. The shuttle service is Lyft so the will take you exactly when and where you want to go and it's covered by the hotel. I wouldn't go there for a holiday but as a stay for the airport, totally recommend!

    I’m thinking there was a kid in the room above my room and that kid was jumping around the entire time I was in my room. I notified the front desk but Nothing happened and the noise continued. I’m afraid I will be seeking other lodging options when I return to Oakland in a few weeks.

    A lady with obvious mental health issues kept playing the fire alarm after 10:30 PM on a Friday night firetrucks and police were called multiple times, not just by staff, but by visitors in the hotel, including myself, and they finally showed up and several times she kept continually pulling the fire alarm, and then I had sent a message to Expedia because I was towed by the manager Victoria that we would be compensated for Friday night and I’ve yet to hear back from anybody and this was on May 15 and it’s now May 21

    Although the fire alarm was triggered by an unruly guest, there was no acknowledgment or accountability by staff. My ears are still ringing two days later. Staff should check the volume of the fire alarm. It was excessively ear piercingly loud, likely louder than code requires. The alarm was pulled 4 times throughout the night, no rest for my traumatized family.

    There is not a free breakfast so take that off the list. The property is currently under construction so everything is not available. I will not step off the property for fear of being killed so we missed dinner. Everything else was OK 👍

    Solid for travel on a budget,staff was very helpful.only major issue was my room keys randomly stopped working multiple times.went through 4 keys in 3 days.bistro was closed and minimal options close by especially for healthy meals,would be best to have a vehicle if staying at this location as opposed to relying on public transportation.

    This hotel, while super convenient to the airport is stranded in an unsalable neighborhood with few dining options inside or outside. The property is still in good shape but telltale signs of decay are setting in. It will need a significant facelift in the near future. My room was clean. My shower was mostly clean. My bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable.

    Outdoor pool has no heater, so ice cold and not being utilized. Outdoor landscape requires maintenance. Carpet need replaced or industrial clean. No quarters available for laundry. Unless you like watching golf, not much any other TV visible to watch. No visible trash cans available outside of rooms in main areas. Limited parking.

    Staff was friendly, room was clean. We rented 2 rooms but could not figure out how to call between rooms. No button or instructions on the phone. Called the front desk, they didnt know how to call between rooms. They tried to connect me but it didnt work. We were trying to reach the other room because the wake up calls we left for 5 a.m. didn't happen.

    Did not like the breakfast area no one knew what they were doing staff kinda seemed all over the place. Poolside seating was great ! The fact that they didnt have sheets on the fold out bed and the fact that they had no xtra sheets or blankets to bring me i paid for 2 beds it should have had lienen in the first place. I definatly will not be comming back to this location all the other marriotts ive stayed way better so sorry

    The cafe was out of many items so we grub hubbed our dinner. Heard multiple gunshots several times and they were close by. I did not feel safe—but my husband and I were staying for one night. The whole neighborhood from the airport is very depressed/ran down. We will never visit Oakland again.

    My bed was worn out in room 221. It needs to be replaced. It's soft at first then turns to a void. Not super terrible. My coffee pot was broken but they replaced it and the maintenance guy was super cool. Hotel has a hvac issue in the main areas. The 2nd floor had a odor, musty like the air wasnt circulating. These were not that bad though. The building needs some work but it was really a good stay.

    My toilet was stopped up very early in the morning at six fifteen.And I called the front desk, and they told me that they didn't have anybody to come.And fix my toilet, and that I would have to wait till well after seven, and then I called back at seven fifteen hour later, to remind them that my toilet was stopped up.Because I did not receive a call or the maintenance person had not came to my door.

    The room was spacious and comfortable. The entire building was very clean, something I noticed was how often I saw staff cleaning the facility. All of the staff I encountered were very welcoming and helpful. My only negatives were the TV didn’t have many channels to watch and the charge of $20 plus tax, per day, to park in the Marriott parking lot was excessive. The corporate greed is ridiculous.

    The room was clean. The wings at hotel restaurant were delicious. The desk staff were friendly. My tv remote had dead batteries. The maintenance man was friendly. He saw my daughter brought her Roku stick and brought a comparable remote. Location was good for our visit.

    Very Safe area !!!safe private parking with a really nice friendly night security man who walks around the parking lot all night. The room was big and VERY CLEAN!! Staff was very nice and helpful plus friendly especially the young man in the front desk named Gavin!!!! Popular restaurants nearby which was really nice to go grab something to eat. Really enjoyed the bistro in the hotel lobby!! Morning coffee and pastries were delicious and with a good price. The restaurant staff were very friendly and nice too!!

Both said unsafe to walk to store two blocks away.advettised a shuttle .. waited 45 minutes.. finally called and they said they don't provide shuttle then stopped providing shuttle 3 years ago yet they haven't had time to update the system so I waited for a lift driver.

    Staff was nice , but TV wasn’t working and a few hrs before was fixed. Also , I tried calling from airport for a Lyft and no answer after few attempts. When mentioned to desk attendant she confirmed I was calling correct number. Had to pay for Uber. Also spout in tub is backwards. Lift lever and gets to cold temp. Room clean . Lobby nice.

    The hotel could use a facelift. The cable channels wouldn’t really work or came in fuzzy. The carpet was coming apart and the threshold between our room and the hall. It feels like it’s been a decade or so since the place has been updated. The staff was super friendly so that was a plus.

    Hotel looked good in the reviews but we got there and there was a lot of cosmetic problems. The drywall was peeling off, the toilet seat was also peeling, and there was a big stain on the wallpaper. There was also two incidents where our key cards were somehow un-programmed to our rooms and we had to go to the front desk twice to see what the issue was.

    Ghetto as hell. Do not leave this property you'll be robbed ! No coffee , only decalf, no lids although they say its a Starbucks location. Inflatable food. You cant get your car out. The room key doesnt work. Again and again and again. Signs !!!!

    Everything was good except that receptionist who gave me attitude for no reason. I was just asking if I should check in with her since she was just standing there doing nothing or should I wait for the other young lady who was already attending to someone and she said wait for my turn with attitude so that’s disappointing. The other young lady was nice and accommodating.

    Most of the television channels are inoperable and unfortunately I'd have to say that they were in the same condition on my last trip which was months ago. The hotel's quality has gradually diminished and there hasn't been an effort to uphold decent service standards or improve where needed. It would also be courteous for the hotel to "comp" customers when they've prepaid for breakfast and can't get it because of total equipment failure in the kitchen. That's a loss for the consumer which is unjust and not professional on the hotel's part.

    On arrival there was suspicious activity outside. People living in their vehicles and a trailer in the back. I proceeded to check in when I walked in it felt cold and unwelcome feeling. The lady that was working her husband was in the office with her. They invited me into the office area behind the counter saying they were closed but checking people in; odd. They were in pajamas or what it seem to look like not work attire. Place looked dingy, smelled nice they said a person burnt something and another person has a wax burner to get rid of the smell that’s what I smelled was a wax burner or candle. So much cosmetic damage or repairs needed. The employee and husband went in the elevator with me saying they were headed to their room. Another odd thing. Another employee stopped the elevator jumped on and only reason I knew he worked there because they were talking about work business and laughing he was going to his room. I’m about to just walk out and leave. But went to the room wood smell in my floor. The room was clean but smelled, bed didn’t even match the head board the room furniture were looking like they came from two different other motels. I changed my clothes and couldn’t stay it gave me anxiety and scared me

    Though the room was standard, the smell was uncomfortable. It smelled like a combination of urine and smoke. Even after keeping the balcony door opened to invite fresh air, to leave and re-enter the room was an a reintroduction to the weird smell. I sprayed air freshener constantly. It needed a deep deep clean with high quality sanitizer and deodorizer. On the other hand, I absolutely LOVED the airport transportation. It wasn’t the traditional shuttle, it was a free Lyft ride.

    Comfortable bed. Housekeeping was great. Both stairwells were dark. I asked on day one to fix the stairwell lights. After 6 days, they still didn’t work.Leaking water fountain. Sketchy part of town. This is the worst Marriott hotel that I’ve ever stayed in. My room was musty smelling. The tv got 4 channels. The rest either didn’t work or were fuzzy. Live electric wires hanging out of the ac unit in the stairway.I would never stay at this hotel again. They should change the name to Motel 6. Terrible place to stay. I stay in hotels about 80 to 90 nights per year and this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

    The people in the adjoining room were extremely loud and sounded like they were doing gymnastics ALL night long. We called the front desk twice and all she did was call them. It would settle for a bit , but then ramp up again. We ran the fan on high, but it didn’t help. My husband put a pillow over his head and got a little sleep. When we checked out at 7:30ish we told the receptionist and she said they were suppose to send security up. That never happened! It was like a party was going on all night til 6 am when it quieted down. Very disappointing in tha action that was not taken. We were in room 265.

    The TV didn't work but I didn't report it- I just want to be able to relax without a hassle. Also there's apparently a $30 fee for EARLY check in which seems weird. Room decor was a bit dated, as was the bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they get 2 stars. The hotel was clean and functional, that gets the 3rd star.

    I liked the hotel everything was nice and clean they charge $20 for parking. They had a cafe on site I didn’t get to check it out but looked like they had a good menu. Staff during the day was nice easy check in but the night staff she was so rude I was locked out of my room it was 3 in the morning she tried calling my cousin who was the one that checked us in but the calls weren’t reaching her my phone was dead I couldn’t show her ID or my Expedia account showing the reservation I told her if she took me to the room herself I could show her my ID but no she was refusing to help me so I was stranded all night. She even took the room key that wasn’t working from me. She said it was against the law to help me out. Anyway hope

    TERRIBLE TERRIBLE STAY. will never even think of staying in this chain of hotels again. I was staying for one singular night for the sole purpose of sleeping and getting some rest cuz I had a bus at 630 in the morning to go back home and i needed to wake up by 530. I paid $166 which is crazy plus a $50 deposit btw. At 3 am, the loudest most high pitched alarm starts wailing in my room and its the fire alarm and everyone panics and i left the room to go outside. It was super cold and all the people staying had to move out only to find out it was a false alarm. They still took 45 mins to turn the alarm off. I couldnt sleep after that because why is 30 mins of sleep going to do? I went for breakfast at 6 cuz i had to leave by 615. Breakfast was included. But of course, it was late and the front desk told me that it is late for some reason today. I paid so much for no reason. I hated the stay. Never again and i will make sure to tell people to not stay in this dumb hotel.

    Check in was very easy and our airport Lyft was scheduled for us. The cafe gentleman was very helpful with our late night dinner and making sure our toddler received his food first and then he back first thing in the morning and went out of his way to give the toddler french fries after the cafe was closed and then made me avocado toast. He went above and beyond and we were very greatful.

    Room coukd have been better for the price of $400 for 2 nights. Bathroom had stains on wall, shower head was leaky, sink was slow draining with a clog i assume. Temperature control in the room is weird. It felt fine while the ac was on but once it hit Temperature and turned off, it would almost be hot instantly. So that made the room uncomfortable. The fridge was a pian because the power button was on a timer for two hours, really inconvenient if out and about.

    It was a very pleasant experience. Easy check in. Just take note that this hotel only accepts certain credit card and debit cards. No tap pay (apple or goggle pay). Call to verify before you check in. They don't offer complimentary breakfast. There is a cage where you can order though. The bed was very comfortable, the room we had was a king bed with sofa bed, refrigerator but no microwave. It was quiet and very clean hotel. Staff were very nice and accomodating. This property is conveniently located near Oakland arena. Overall, our experience was delightful.

    Good choice for an overnight airport stay. The airport shuttle service uses Lyft and was great! Generally the hotel condition is good, however, some of the furniture items in our room showed signs of wear and tear. The hotel offers a made to order breakfast which was quite good.

    The girls at the front desk were VERY accommodating and friendly- they even went out of their way to give us nice recommendations for our time in the area. Unfortunately though, there were other circumstances that made our stay less than ideal. The temperature in our room was impossible to control to any sort of comfortable level, the climate was stuck on either ungodly hot or absolutely freezing the whole time, with no way to moderate somewhere in between. During our entire stay, we could hear a woman moaning, screaming, and pounding on the walls next to our room at all hours of the night, as well as what we think may have been children running up and down our hallway and slamming on our door numerous times on several separate occasions late at night. While we realize these things aren’t in the hotels control, it made for a very disruptive and sleepless stay for us. To top everything else off, we realized upon leaving that someone at the hotel charged our credit card not only for the $200 deposit, but for another $120 charge that none of the staff could explain. I was told the charge would be removed but it made us feel extremely uncomfortable and distrustful.

    Perfect for an overnight layover. The outdoor pool was great, with lovely landscaping. The guy serving breakfast was overworked due to lack of staff, but incredibly friendly and good at his job. The person at the front desk in the early morning was not quite as friendly, but maybe she was just having a rough day. If you’re going to have a coffee machine in the room, there should be regular coffee pods available. Decaf pods don’t count.

    Although my first night was a bit noisy on the first floor, I still give this hotel a perfect rating. After multiple request staff transferred me to the 3rd floor for the rest of my stay, and it was much more peaceful. The remainder of my stay was incredibly pleasant and comfortable. The food was average, but the staff were outstanding, and the hotel’s proximity to the airport made it very convenient, especially with their Lyft shuttle service.

    The property was good, in general, but we were somewhat perplexed by the room arrangement. Normally, the bed faces the t.v., but in this case it was arranged to the side. Also, there was a $20 charge for parking (plus a $4 tourism tax) but the facility was not secured by a fence. Instead, there was a gate which raised when a ticket was accessed upon entering, but the exit gate was wide open. No security at all in a very dangerous neighborhood near the airport.

    I asked Expedia for a place with an airport shuttle, but when we got to Oakland there was no sign of a shuttle. The hotel did provide transportation via Lyft when I called to ask, but I had to call and ask.

    The room was clean and comfortable. However I do NOT recommend staying here. As other reviews mentioned, our rental car was vandalized in the parking lot. They charge $24 for parking but no security or cameras to protect your vehicle.

    I would’ve wished their gate wasn’t open or broken if we were paying the parking fee.. everything was nice but our car’s handle was completely tore apart & broken off and the door was completely dented in on my drivers side, which supposedly we’re completely responsible for that stated on policy. someone was trying to break into our car during the night.. that was our only inconvenience but other than that service and staff were nice and helpful.

    Refrigerator noise like a dump truck. TRICKLE for water in the bathroom sink. What !?? Constant humming noise into the room from above. Called in to arrange a airport shuttle pick up and was put on hold for 9 minutes. I hung up and called back in ... did they forget about me? Is that a herd of elephants above. So disappointed. The shower running upstairs was so loud it was like in our room. So not like a marriott. TV channels .not. (long story) No clock. No bedside outlet to plug in my phone.

    My TV didn't work and it took almost an hour for Engineering to come and diagnose the problem (a bad TV). they quickly brought me a new one. Logging onto the free internet was a problem, but I was assured that by clicking 'paid internet' I was still getting it for free. We'll see when I check out. I was also surprised with a $20 parking fee....grrrr! Maybe this was on the initial page when I chose the hotel, but if so, I missed it.

    The hotel was nice generally. The room we were in had a couch with some unidentifiable stains, and the wifi didn't reach our room. The bed was fine though. It was sufficient for a night's stay.

    The hotel was very nice and quiet all night. The bed was super comfortable and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Fantastic especially for the price point and super convenient to the airport. It’s not a walkable area but that is what the current state is near the airport. The hotel is gated and I felt safe myself as well as parking my rental car in their parking lot.

    The outside of the hotel was unclean. Trash on the ground. Inside lobby area was nice. You turn the corner and you see large stains on the carpet. Elevator was dirty inside. Open our room door strong order. Bed was very lumpy not a good night aleep. Guests were running and yelling during the early mornings. Hard to sleep. Breakfast was just okay nothing to brag about. After seeing a very latge rat come in from the outsdie before we left we will kot be returning.

    Front desk staff had greasy dirty hair look like she barely showered to come into work both days we saw her there was prostitutes in the parking lot wearing hooker Hills and half naked we had to complain to the front staff to keep them out had their vinegar at the front door the homeless also wouldn’t be able to come into the eating area trying to get food off of peoples tabs from rooms homeless people literally were inside the lobby

    I hated the staff, they said that it was an 21+ hotel and that they had no exceptions and made me have to work for it. They took too long to get my reservation and then I had to get a guardian to come sign in with me.
