The man who checked us in, Brian, was so sweet and helpful. The room was fine and it was inexpensive but in retrospect I wish I would have stayed in a hotel a short walk to Emeryville Amtrak station because the neighborhood was intimidating. We had no problems but I wouldn’t stay there again.

Mold on shower door slide, about 1/4 inch of crud in all corners plenty of plugs, unfortunately only 3 worked,floor in general dirty,unknown substances on walls in a wide variety of areas throughout the room, could plainly hear conversations in rooms on either side. I was helped carrying my luggage up a flight of stairs.

Bathroom was moldy and shower and tub were filthy with black scum in crevices. Hair on the floor indicated that it wasn’t swept after the last guest. Otherwise it was basic and gave what I needed which was a cheap roof, bed, shower. The front office person was accommodating.

We booked last minute to go see Mosswood meltdown in the park. Convenient location, clean room, friendly staff. We had no problems at all!

The room is a little bit outdated. The towels were not stain free. We were asked several times if room cleaning was needed during our stay. The surrounding area is not the nice one. For our few days was the property perfect. Free parking for our car was inclusive.

I didn't like that it lacked cleanness in general, especially in the bathroom. Just more attention to that would have made a great difference. and that all units are on the second floor so we had to carry the heavy luggage upstairs.

Everything was good and comfortable. Only thing that bother me was the shower. Either had mold around or dirty. Probably something that needs to be cleaned or fixed with new caulking.

Its walking distance to the MacArthur Bart station, I stay here when go to a baseball game and ride the rails to the stadium, Quiet and clean ! Friendly Staff !

The only thing that was good about the place is it was quiet. To me there were many problems with the room. I would never stay here again and obviously would not reccomend it to anyone.

I liked the locaiton and it was quiet - without much street noise, but the residents were noisey. One guy paced for hours on the walkway and others talked loudly on the stairs. Weird. diane arp

This small Motel is a good as what it is priced for. The rooms are very small, and visibly looked clean, but could had more detailed cleaning. Best thing is the close parking.

It is in kind of icky trashy area and the inside needs updating. There is rust behind the door that hasn’t been cleaned off the floor, but it is cheap per night.

It was really comfortable and I like the fact that there is a heater. I am always cold, so it was great to put on the heater. The only thing is that, at night, something bit me. I don't know if it is bed bugs or what. I didn't see any but the bite marks were itchy. I had more of the bites after coming home, so now I have to wash all my clothes and everything that was in the hotel. I really hope it wasn't bed bugs but can't know for sure. :)

While the neighborhood was not nice or certainly not safe after dark, I always felt safe within my room. The TV had a nice selection of stations and the internet WIFI was very serviceable. I was able to walk to where I was teaching with at least a measure of security during daylight hours. The people (family) who ran the hotel very very nice and friendly.

We had a great experience at the Bayview Motel. The staff was very courteous, helpful and friendly and accommodated our late arrival. Our room was clean, and even better than I had expected from the picture. The bed was comfortable and clean. The television was great and the room had Wi-Fi. The Bayview was located close to our destination (Berkeley) and we easily could take an Uber or Lyft to get there. Our car was secure in the parking lot at the hotel and we left it there all day with no problem. The price of the motel was great and we would stay there again.

The hotel is old and rundown. The area is rough. The lobby is about the size of a large telephone booth, standing room only, and the clerk is behind a plexi-glass partition. You pass your information under the glass, clearly for the clerk's protection. After getting to the room, I realized I could not stay there. I could handle the marginal room, but not the feeling that I wasn't safe. As a female traveling alone on business, I avoid obvious risks. Staying at this hotel would have been one.

It was dirty walls. Two or three ants in the bathroom. Nice tv selection. Microwave and mini fridge was a plus. Towels were clean. Fresh sheets but needs way better pillows. I rate a 5 out of 10.

The location is very convenient (2-3 miles) to the Emeryville Amtrak station considering it's price. Room was adequate, not fancy. Works for us. We took Uber to the OAK airport the next morning. All rooms second floor -- no elevator. Stored our heavy luggage in the locked laundry area. Free internet.

The flooring, while appearing clean had a greasy feel. Looks like laminate floors are being mopped with dirty water. Could be wrong. Neighborhood looks like it has one way to go and that is up.
