It was my 24th Anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to help me celebrate they decorated our room for me to help surprise my husband.

Immaculate grounds especially at night when all the landscape lights were on. Starbucks in the premises as well as a Steak and tapas full restaurant,a full service cafe and multiple outside seating areas on the veranda and gardens.Housekeeping was on point w restocking and keeping our rooms clean and inviting

The hotel itself is GORGEOUS! The grounds, the restaurants and bars, the room. However… you ask about breakfast. Being that the Drake is a luxury hotel that is not inexpensive, it would be nice if they would provide SOME type of complimentary breakfast to its guests. Maybe not buffet style but at LEAST continental with coffee and tea. We rented a King Junior Suite and had to go elsewhere for breakfast. The Colonial doesn’t have much variety. Next… the water pressure in the bathroom sink was so annoying that we literally wanted to wash our hands in the shower. It was like a stream of hot water. Cold water pressure was ok. And it took 3 hours to get hot. Lastly… the tv is so far from the bed and is not big enough to be that far. But all in all, we enjoyed the beautiful room and all of the staff were so helpful and sweet. Just some constructive criticism. Thank you!

Staff were all so nice and helpful. Rooms were so clean. Very beautiful and comfortable. The overall hotel is beautiful inside and outside. Only thing is the room was near I believe a cleaning closet and it was a little loud. And one of the restaurants was being remodeled at the time of stay. Other than that I loved my stay and the convenience of Oak Brook mall and tons of restaurants near by being so close. About a 5-7 min drive. I would definitely stay again.

Thought the carpet in building 2 needs to be replaced. Worn out. Didn't see handicap parking up top. Parked in lot at the bottom of hill. The 2 elevators in building two need to be updated as well. Have no idea how old that carpet is.

Location Door to bathroom was a sliding door that was not flush to the wall. Doorman upon leaving was not helpful with opening door when we were leaving. We had lots of shopping bags and luggage. He literally walked away.

Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.

Yes, room was perfect, clean, staff was not responsive to the temperature in the room that was reported at check in. When we went to room to retire after midnight, it was 80 degrees warm. We had to move to another room late that night.

The Drake Oakbrook is an absolutely great getaway Hotel . Clean and the staff is absolutely amazing. Restaurants are amazing.

Noise from loud wedding music a bit audible up to 3rd floor, but it stopped at a reasonable time.

It is a perfect spot if you want to divide your time to explore Chicago and Naperville. I highly recommend leaving early in the morning to beat the traffic and plan to return after 9 pm. However, the weekends give you more flexibility

There is no spa or pool at the property. The rooms are very old. The property has a wedding reception therefore expect loud music even at the 4th floor. This hotel is a 2-star at best.

Absolutely terrible! Staff was unavailable/absent. I was put in a room attached to a wedding venue and both nights of my stay there was a wedding with loud noise, lots of people, doors slamming, DJ/bar etc. Stayed for 2 nights and got 1 hour of sleep total due to the awful environment. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone! Too expensive for the headache and frustration it caused.

They have different restaurants available in the hotel. I didn't like one of the entrance do not have a pathway and have to walk through wet grass

The Drake in Oak Brook, IL was outstanding. From the time of our arrival Friday afternoon to our departure on Sunday at noon, their staff from the valet parking to the check in as well as the waiters and waitresses made us feel welcomed and appreciated. I cannot say enough good things of how we were treated. My new #1 of accomodations to stay when we are in Chicago. Kudo's to the entirestaff at the Drake.

I love the indoor gym and the scenery outside of both of the hotel buildings and all of the memories they provided and how they specialize the hotel room to you personally. No bad complaints at all.

The staff was terrific. Concierge text service from Joanna & Kristle helping organize rooms for a family wedding. Khulood & Jessica set up a great delicious private dinner - where Esteban, Miguel & Norma provided excellent pro active dinner and drinks service.

Our room was nice, but there were stains in the bed sheets.

Overall great stay. The room was dark, there were just lamps on the nights stands. The dark gray paint or no lights in the ceiling added to the mood. But the beds were comfy and the shower was great!

We really liked our stay at the hotel for our anniversary! The room was nice but it did have a musty smell in the room! The staff/ housekeeping was very friendly and helpful. The grounds were very pretty and well kept! Overall it was very nice and we would go back again in the future.

We visited COA in the evening and had a great time turning in our key for a surprise experience—such a fun and creative touch! Later, we enjoyed a nightcap in the lounge, which was lively and welcoming. The Brie cheese plate was absolutely delicious, and the bartender was not only attentive and knowledgeable, but had a great sense of humor that made our evening even better. The property itself is beautiful and peaceful—we loved walking the grounds and taking it all in. Our room was cozy, quiet, and inviting, and we finally got the restful night’s sleep we had hoped for. This stay reminded us of what great hospitality looks like. We will absolutely be returning and recommending The Drake to friends and colleagues. Thank you for turning our trip around!

Only one slight suggestion we were on the first floor and were unable to open shades due to privacy and it was a bit dark in our room 503 Needed a map instead of a hat rack

However, this hotel needs a gift shop or the coffee shop to stay open all day because my husband needed a snack before the wedding reception (blood sugar) and we finished what we had brought along. There was no place to buy a protein bar nor candy bar. I find this peculiar and dangerous. They told us to order a meal from the bar. The bar was crowded and I tried but it took forever so gave up. Please change. Thanks

Long story short, the A/C kicked in, the room was fantastic, and we had a terrific stay in the end. We chose the Drake because we were attending a wedding at the nearby Wilder Mansion, and it set the tone for a lovely weekend. The property was stunning, with an abundance of flowers and greenery, and the lobby and bar exuded classic charm. Our deluxe king room was spacious and well-appointed, overlooking the garden area that was always set up for weddings and the patio of Coa, the tapas fusion restaurant (which I highly recommend--especially the paella). The only odd thing was that the A/C came out of vents in the windowsills, so we had to use pillows to hold the curtains back so the air would flow. Keep in mind that large parties often book here, and the lobby bar can get quite rowdy with post-wedding festivities, but our room was quiet and comfortable. Surprisingly, the price was about the same as other generic chain hotels in the area, making this a go-to next time we're in the area to visit.

Thank you for upgrading us to the Buckingham Suite! It was an experience that absolutely delighted my wife. She can't stop talking about it! If I had to criticize one thing, it would be the breakfast room service. With a room like that, I would like to be able to order a gourmet meal and eat in the elegant dining room rather than receive a bad meal served in a paper bag. Other than that, the staff was wonderful and the room was wonderful!

James at the front valet and Barry the bartender are exceptional at their job. James was knowledgeable and approached me with a warm courtesy before I could get the first word out. Barry is a funny guy but one that takes his job seriously and he has mastered the art of mixing drinks and multi tasking. Hats off to them both.

There was a wedding at the hotel during our stay. The guests were very loud and rowdy. We could hear them through the walls. Also the beds were very hard and not comfortable. Overall it was not a good stay.

I love this hotel and it will now be my "go to" place to stay when I come to area, which I do fairly often. I love the rooms in the east tower of the hotel. The decor is perfect and the amenities really nice. They make a great espresso martini at the bar, the service is great and all staff very very friendly. I will be back!

We stayed in the renovated portion of the hotel for the second time an it is lovely. I love the dark colors of the walls, the bathrooms and other gorgeous details of the rooms. My fiance is a Marriott platinum member so we get some other perks when we stay at a Marriott property which always make our stay nice.

Our room was very nice except for the loose door handle in the closet. There was room service trays still in the hallway from the previous night but overall we were very happy with our stay.

It is a beautiful property in a great location. They have amazing staff, who are courteous, professional, and thoughtful. There special key gimic, to unlock a special experience was cute. My complain would be where our room was. The room itself was so awesome in terms of decor and cleanliness. The elevator to the room was not as nice. It had big scratches on the back wall and the gold accents appeared dirty with smudged. It was also a little off putting that we had to go across the way outside and into another building to get to our room and it was a day when the wind chill was negative 10. It felt like I was being punished for getting my room 3rd party through Expedia even though I don't believe they intentionally wanted to make me feel that way. I was there celebrating my 12th anniversary and they did offer a complimentary piece of cake or small bottle of champagne or wine which was very thoughtful. We picked the cake and it looked a lot better than it tasted unfortunately. We decided to stay on the property to have our anniversary dinner even though there were many restaurants around the area. We had to go outside and across the way back to the main property to get to the restaurants. The drinks were very good. The dessert was better than that complimentary cake but not amazing. The food was better than the desserts but not excellent. It was an ok dining experience for 160 dollars. We got the chicken and the fish they were uniquely prepared and both were ok dishes.

The staff was great. Room clean but no bath tub. Too many service charges. Food at Coa fair. Breakfast in restaurant tasteless. Price of my room was more expensive then other nearby properties and quality of hotel was not worth the price. I will not stay at this property again nor will I recommend it.

I made a mistake on the the check in day, by one day, admittedly my fault, but the Drake charged me and did nothing to assist me getting a room there or with another Marriott hotel in the area. I have been a Marriott loyalist for >40 yrs. Hotels.com did not help either so not sure of their "value" in booking a hotel.

The Drake was lovely! The staff were attentive and friendly. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Couldn’t ask for much more! The Drake is a hidden gem in Oak Brook.

The Drake was convenient for our needs to be close to the airport, downtown, and neighboring Wheaton.

Wanted an earlier check in and the hotel accommodated the request. Hotel was clean, staffs were nice.

COA restaurant was very good

I stayed in a regular king room for a few nights this past week and found it lacking. The room was very hot, despite our attempts to adjust the temperature. We reported this at checkout. Additionally, there are no towel bars, just one hook over the toilet. The makeup mirror is set about 12" too low to be useful. The refrigerator froze our liquids, and the hot water took multiple minutes to arrive, so a lot of wasted water. The final insult: $14.95/day to use the internet (a sunk cost) for EVERY DEVICE. Ridiculous. My partner is a Bonvoy customer, so it was removed from our bill, but that's an obvious money grab. Other hotels don't charge. We really wanted the Drake to be our "go-to" hotel while visiting family in the Oak Brook area, but we're likely to go elsewhere.

This place was five star in service, lovely bar area, room was quiet and spacious. Reasonably priced for level of service and accomodations.

The Drake is an amazing place!! I was very comfortable and felt very safe on the property. The staff was pleasant at all times. I will return.

The hotel had no hot water at all the morning we left. They kept telling us just to keep running the faucet, but that didn’t work even after running the shower over half an hour. It was ridiculous.

We were really pleased with how cute the interiors of the room were, and the bathroom was very nice. Room service tasted good, and we loved the fact that there was a cafe in the hotel for us to go and grab coffee.
