Le Méridien Chicago - Oakbrook Center

We parked in the mall parking lot ( there really wasn't a designated parking area for the hotel) ( the back door entrance has the name of a restaurant, very misleading, and it was locked at 12:30 pm) we could not tell where the entrance was, due to the Vans parked in the front entrance, there also isn't an awning at the front entrace to your car under, and it was raining, we walked from the mall parking lot around to the front entrance in the rain with our suitcases! As for the rooms, I had it set on 69 F. and it would not cool well. The carpet had perfumed powder that had me sneezing, (the carpet really needs to be changed out in the room it was really worn out, way over due) I felt like I was in a dungeon, very poor lighting in the room. Also bedding needs to be upgrading. I have stayed in many Marriott hotels and i must say , this is one of the poorest maintained Marriott hotel I have stayed at, doesn't meet their standards. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel to a guest. Especially in the nice area that its in, one small plus is that it has 2 good restaurants within walking distance and the mall within walking distance.

Informed them at the time of booking that I was traveling with 2 adults and 1 cat. In the 3 weeks after I booked, the property sent me every kind of marketing and promotional email. Then, the morning of check-in, their guest services supervisor, Maxine Lewis, sent me an email informing me that they don't allow cats, only dogs. Why would they wait 3 weeks to tell me, then just casually drop it in an email? No phone call, no text, no apology, no sense of urgency. They waited 18 days to tell me. At a minimum, this was utter incompetence. However, I'm starting to think their intention all along was to leave me no other options, then charge me a large penalty for a prohibited pet. I cancelled and was lucky enough to rebook at another property with just a few hours notice. Will never stay at this property, and I urge you to use caution when booking here

The hotel is very clean, extremely quiet, and the staff is among the best. The service is excellent, it’s a great place to stay, and there are many shops nearby

I got charged late check out when I left way before the checkout time and I wasn’t Ass what time I wanna to check out The art made the Back small I don’t like the thing in the room and it looks like they have arts not properly on the wall, which made me concerned if it’s gonna fall on me being in the bed It was over the bed

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room, clean, everything was great. The drain didn't go down very fast in the shower which can gross me out sometimes, but it wasn't filling up too much, so it wasn't too big of a deal. The front desk staff was kind and helpful. We would definitely atay again!

I will say that the hotel was nicely furnished, very clean, the staff was efficient and helpful, my room was equally nice, clean, and comfortable-nice sheets, good mattress, nice towels, and handy accessories like coffee/tea machine, hand cream etc.

A wonderful location for a romantic getaway where everything that you will need is right at your fingertips. I didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the Spa, but there is always next time. 😉

We had a late check in after a wedding. The staff was so courteous and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

This location is the go-to spot for all our visiting workers and clients. Turns out this has happened quite a few times recently. The hotel looks great but book with caution!

Such an easy check-in. The room was comfortable and spacious.

Hotel stay made as last minute decision. Husband attending workplace holiday party and location too far from home Instead of not attending, Le Meridien offered a terrific accessible room price Our check-in was later early evening, so arrived at room, quickly dropped off luggage, and I drove him to party. When I returned to room, and able to inspect, it was not as promised with an accessible shower/bath, and actually, shower was installed backwards. Showerhead on left, with sliding glass door accessed on left, not right side, which was immovable and fixed. Floor of shower very slippery with no non slip protection I decided to order in room, as snowing and blistering cold outside Note: this hotel location situated within popular major shopping/dining district, but being unaccompanied and with my disabilities, walking alone in unlighted parking areas was out of the question. Room had No inhouse menus, and when requested, attendant brought a mini1 page pub fare menu with very limited offerings Even though hotel boasts a modern spanish restaurant, 'El Tapeo' Most important, ADA parking rear of hotel, difficult to navigate, entrances not clearly marked. When we asked parking attendant, he just mumbled and motioned waving his arms, "around back" Overall, miserable stay, roomsvc food substandard, would not recommend for anyone with disabilities.

Two people, four nights and a small three drawer chest. I get the retro look, but the cheapest flooring ( saw that at a Motel 6 in Cleveland) , furniture and lamps was not expected at a le Meridian hotel. Where was the swimming pool promised in the website? Had planned to go with out guests. Not that it was cool enough for much of a blanket, the duvet was so thin that I had to check to see if there actually was an insert. Maybe a half inch thick Breakfast was only sit down and full I could go on. Basically the le Meridian brand was trashed. One good thing - great shampoo and shower

The walls are paper thin- so you can hear the conversations next door and above. Rooms are very small and not very comfortable. Bed was just ok. Would never stay here again. Our room had a mini fridge that made a loud obnoxious humming noise on and off all night. Was shocked the hotel is so highly rated. Very disappointed.

The staff was amazing!

Prime area where the hotel is located for shopping and more restaurants than you could try in a two week stay. The restaurant in the hotel is a tapas restaurant, it is delicious and very nice. Had breakfast with a solid limited menu. Their concessions area is very limited in the lobby compared to other hotels.

Only complaints are the room lighting is insufficient at night and one of the two elevators wasn’t working. Otherwise a very good experience. Bedding and mattress super comfortable. Parking not a challenge if you look behind the hotel at the covered parking garage or pay the $20 for valet.

We had a short stay overnight but the rooms were great and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

I asked for a special request for my anniversary and they told me they would do it and they didn’t do it very upset will never stay here again.

Friendly staff, easy to locate and lots to do around the area. Room was very nice. It was tricky to get the room temperature to regulate but we were in a corner room so maybe that had to do with it. Spanish restaurant on the 9th floor had excellent food! Really recommend it.

For the Marriott corporate powers that be: This is a Le Méridien. It used to mean it. The carpet and the wallpaper in the rooms no longer reflect this. They need to be replaced asap. Breakfast is very sysco. Potatoes are too large, came underdone, and cold both days. Please invest in this property. It’s a Good location to upgrade.

Valet parking - Eric was awesome. We even forgot something in our car and he ran out and got it for us.

The room was cold and the heat would not make it better. We had to get a heater brought to the room because it was so uncomfortable. Additionally, the bathroom sink had a foul sewer gas like smell. We would not return.

The rooms are not luxurious as I hoped for. The beds are very low. Tub was dirty and out dated. Shower curtains really take away the value of the hotel. Super small bathroom area. No smart tv. The cleanest updated area was the lobby. Then you go to your room and realize the style and luxury feeling in the lobby does not match the room.

We had an accessable room and had plenty of room for my husband's wheelchair to maneuver around. Bathroom was clean and easy for him to use. We were not happy with the mattress and pillows. Neither of us slept very well. Room service for breakfast did not get our order completely right, but it was delicious (and they did correct our order when we called)

Overall it was a great experience, staff were friendly. Their breakfast was amazing. Great choices. Vouchers are 29 dollar equivalent. Only complaints was that our A/C didn’t work that great, took a couple hours to cool down the room. Also there was cigarette smoke smell in our hallway.

My favorite hotel in the Chicago area. Nice rooms, attentive and friendly staff, fabulous location. There are many excellent restaurants within a short walking distance and we like the shopping, too. We have stayed here many times and plan to stay here again soon.

Large clean rooms. Was disappointed that they didn't have breakfast, wifi, or a pool. Shower had a gap under slider that left the floor wet each shower. Bad parking at night when the restaurants had their patrons parking everywhere.

We absolutely love Le Meridian! It’s our go-to staycation spot in Oakbrook. Great staff, clean rooms and near some amazing restaurants and shops!

We had a great stay. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Staff was totally friendly and more than willing to help me with my bags.

I normally take pictures of the hotel rooms in stay in, but in this case I had such a terrible time, there is only videos of all the issues that occurred during my one night stay.

The shower in our room was absolutely disgusting. There was visible mold growing in grout between tiles and when the shower head was turned on it the mold/dirt came off in chunks onto the shower floor.

The Hotels rooms are gloomy and not very nice, I would not stay here again.

Friendly staff, close to shopping center

My staycation went exactly as planned! I wanted some peace and quiet for birthday weekend and I got just that. They were also so kind to gift me a couple birthday gifts with my room which made my stay extra sweet. Being in proximity to all the shopping was perfect. I would return for another solo trip!

Loud. Despite quiet hours at midnight there were still loud drunk people keeping us awake. At the bar we couldn’t even hear each other because the drunks were so obnoxious so we left without even ordering a drink. There were only about 20 people at the bar and it was still that noisy.

Lots of hallway noise between midnight and 1am. Otherwise great location and nice hotel

This hotel is beautiful and amazing! I love staying at thr Le Meridian! Its top notch in all areas.

The only issue I had with the room was that temperature of the room won’t go down below 70 and it was pretty hot in the room when we called front desk they said due to weather outside it won’t go down below 70 which I found as not professional

My husband and I love Le Meridien! It has become our go to place for staycations! The staff is always welcoming and friendly. Our rooms are clean and private and the proximity to shopping and dining is great!

Internet in room is $13/day. Room and bathroom is very basic.

The hotel lobby and the room were very clean. The gym was clean. The restaurant was delicious and had great service. Parking was easy. Shopping and restaurants were conveniently located and walkable.

The hotel was located in a convenient location and near many restaurants and shopping. The ambiance was great! I also enjoyed my spa experience, massage and facial. My only complaint is the sink is small and it would be great if a small table could be placed in the extra space in the bathroom to place items on such as clothing or toiletries when using the shower. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and plan to return on my next visit.

Restaurant staff upstairs was a little rude. The lady hostess in the morning. Besides that everything was great. Clean and comfortable. Great location.

It was clean with friendly staff. I probably wouldn’t come back with kids. The parking for handicap is limited and the rooms are not set up for family trips ( tiny trash cans and a fridge that didn’t keep milk cold) but it was a clean and updated location

The staff here is so kind & respectful. The whole building is so clean! The restaurants are super close by. It’s perfect!!

Upon check in we were given a room with double beds even though they told us it was a king suite like we had reserved. After trekking all the way back down to the lobby with our stuff, they told us they didn’t have a king available. After showing our reservation and arguing with the front desk worker they magically came up with a standard king room. Still not the suite we paid for. Not great customer service.

Le Meridien is our favorite hotel in the Chicago suburbs. The location is perfect--close to excellent restaurants and good shopping. Service is top notch. A couple hours after we checked out a staff member helped me find a quiet place for a Zoom call--much appreciated. The beds are oh so comfortable.
