The room was clean, no bugs or anything to complain about. The staff was super nice and respectful! The breakfast was good and better than expected for how downplayed it is. I’m not sure about parking but you can take the train downtown pretty easily from here, but it takes an hour on the train, but if you take the back way behind the stores you can get there much faster than the 30 minutes google says.

The breakfast was not actually like the breakfast other places offer, it was all prepackaged and not worth it. The rooms were disgusting, the bathtub looks like it has never been cleaned, the toilet was nasty, we found bed bugs on the last day. I think that should tell you enough. I would not go anywhere near any motels by Super 8 after this. Spend the extra money and go to a reputable motel. This is one of those sketchy ones that are not maintained. Do not fall for the mediocre reviews because the place is a 2/10. I hope this prevents others from making the same mistake I did, check they’re low google reviews and you will understand this was not just my experience but many others have experienced it as well.

This property is old and it shows. Still it was clearn and the staff was helpful. We booked through a third party (Priceline). As a result I was not able to use my Wydham prewrds to get free internet. The staff member was able to help with that.

Room was dirty. Was looking for earring back and saw all the dirt under the bed. Toilet was broken and patched on the back and there was hair in the tub. Outside looks run down. No refund available. We checked the bed for bugs and thankfully didn’t find any. The bed was the cleanest part of the room and it was comfortable for the night. The breakfast bag was surprisingly good (yogurt, apple juice, muffin). You get what you pay for.

Rooms are dated with old furniture, old appliances. Old carpet. Noise level high. None of staff in uniform, didn't appear to be a franchise run property, though it falls under Wyndham. You can get a much better place with just a few additional $.

Room was dirty, sheets had stains, bathroom door had a smudge of fecal matter on back of door. Lamp shade had what appeared to be a smudge of blood. Staff was very un helpful and didn't seem to care about anything. Shuttle that gave round trip to boot camp graduation didn't show back up to pick us up, we had to get a taxi. Breakfast was trash, no eggs at all. They had cereal and pancakes. I could have stayed at the navy lodge for this price which was beautiful.

Warning to others, place has a high rating, how i dont know. The room is small, dirty, smelled like mildew something awful, the bathroom door was broken and wouldn't shut. The bed mattress had huge dip making it very uncomfortable, had to take extra pillows and slide under mattress. Trash was overflowing and on ground outside, no attempt to change or clean it. No wi fi, or breakfast available. The check-in was easy and staff was nice, being why id give it one star or a 2 out of ten, thats generous.

This facility is probably the dirtiest, nastiest hotel I might have ever stayed at. Hair in our sink, absolutely REAKED of cigarette smoke, no turndown service, grass and weeds were waist high, even the towels smelled disgusting.

They must write their own online reviews, because the rooms were NOT CLEAN!! There was mold on ceiling above the bed, and around the tub. The toilet was CRACKED, plus did not flush. Final straw was when I went to plug in my CPAP machine, pulled the night stand out a short way, the outlets were covered with dirt, dust and fuzz. We thought we could tough it out for just a few hours, but we looked at each other and said" Can't do it, WE'RE OUT OF HERE!! Only regret is we didn't take any photos for proof.

This Place is Terrible. as soon as my wife opened the door the odor was very strong and stinky. room was shabby, there was feces in the tub no joke. we left within 10 minutes. if possible spend more money and go elsewhere. plus the pictures are not even close to what the room looked like, it was in shambles a disaster room smelled horrible, very dirty, feces in tub, the breakfast table was in main office by check in which was a coffee maker

Clean room.

Room was not clean, there were spots of gunk on walls, floors turned feet/socks black, the nightstand table had oil spots and the fridge had a huge ice build up with questionable black spots on it. The room smelled of mold. Also the security latch on the door was broken, which feels like a quick fix that was just ignored/not thought of.

The property and rooms look nothing like what is pictured on the website. The website says full breakfast, there’s only coffee. The bathroom was so small it is ridiculous. The property is run down looking, the only decent place was the main office.

Bed was creaky, walls were thin, did find one cockroach and the power was out for a night (probably because of the rain. But honestly for a cheaper hotel it wasn't too bad, it was generally as expected. One roach is better then a whole infestation lol. So it's alright

All of the staff were extremely helpful. I arrived on a very cold day with a poor weather forecast for the following two days. I could not get my room warm enough. It just did not heat up. There were no extra blankets and when I called the front desk, they told me that There was no reports that the thermostat wasn’t working. So here’s my report… The thermostat wasn’t working. It was freezing. Heat. There wasn’t any.

The front desk staff were great and very accommodating. The location was convenient for being really close to Route 95. The take away breakfast was fine (yogurt, muffin, apple juice and coffee). The room smelled strongly of disinfectant when we walked in. The bed was huge and very comfortable but we worried the fitted sheet was going to come off of the mattress. It didn't fit entirely around the mattress. Overall, enjoyed our stay.

I tried to put the mattress cover back onto the mattress but it just didn’t fit. I slept in the middle of the bed to avoid the filthy mattress. When I woke up all four corners were unattached. I didn’t sleep well because of the thought of it. In the morning I checked out even though I paid for a second day. I told the manager and he offered another room but the damage was already done… I stayed at my daughter’s house like I should have to begin with. The manager was nice and all but the bed was too much. Yuck! I went cheap thinking I’m just going to sleep there. Never again. It’s a shame because it could be acceptable with just a little attention. The shower was clean and the sink was new and the floor seemed clean but that bed😳 I swear to God, I had slasher dreams when I was able to fall asleep.

Checking out within 5 minutes of arriving found a couple Cockroaches and another crawling type of bug.

Just needed a place to lay my head for a night after work. The room was spacious and clean, but made a lot of weird noises..idk where they were coming from (fridge, freezer, heating unit). Outside was quiet, bed was ok. Shower pressure was good and toilet worked.

The smell on the room we knew it was missing cleaning!!!! Breakfast??? What breakfast?? Just a counter with coffee!!! Don’t advertise it if you dont have it!!! The pictures in the reservation are not as the hotel actually is!!!!

The motel itself was old and in disrepair. The photos did not accurately represent the condition of the property. This hotel was worth roughly half of what I've paid per night I would never stay here again.

Parking was convenient. Glad to have an elevator. Room did not have a hair dryer and there were not enough towels in the room. The person at the front desk was nice but not very friendly. It was also irritating that on the super 8 emails they asked for a tip for the staff. We had basic service at best. Not tip worthy.

The room and bedding were clean, and the beds comfortable. But the floor was terribly dirty and sticky. It seemed like it hadn't been mopped or swept for a year. I had to have my shoes on at all times.

The room was clean - however my 8-year-old did say he saw a roach in the bathroom. The beds were fine - not 10/10 comfort, but they got the job done. It was a quiet area, and we felt safe there. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

This was a great stay! The front end staff were very friendly and attentive. Its a little out of the way and the breakfast is just a grab and go option so dont expect anything fancy. But for the price this is a great option.

Due to my profession, I travel all over the country. This is one of these nice little gems I come across. Hotel was immaculate and it was quiet. The staff is professional. The price was more than affordable for the service that I received. Fantastic hotel for a great price.

It’s about a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 10 minute walk to a grocery store, fast food, coffee, and the train station. We didn’t explore the area beyond the hotel up to the main road as we took the train into Chicago. The train is great and we could get into the city and connect to the airport easily. There is highway noise but it’s not terrible (and no honking like in the city!). The hotel is dated and could use an update but it’s definitely not a roach coach. We felt safe and there was no appearance of it being a drug hangout. We saw maintenance working on the property and cleaning every day. When we checked in the front desk was not rude but gave the impression we were bothering her. It was the same when getting breakfast. However the evening staff was friendly.

Notice at the desk said clearly that housekeeping did not do stay overs....so we figured they went home since it was 430 when we signed in.there was dust by the legs of the desk, shower floor was super slippery, no grips on floor but there were bars to hold on to. The room was not very clean at checkin. The floor was not properly sweeped and one could feel something crusty on the mattress from under the bed sheet. Bed spreads were small for a double bed. However, the staff was helpful and prompt

The property was very tired and the photos provided of the interiors we not consistent with what was provided. I actually did not know it was a Super 8 because of the Wyndham name so I was very surprised at the lackluster presentation- and would have avoided the property had the photos been accurate.

We stayed there for three nights. It's mostly alright. It's not the best out there but it's the cheapest you can have with still some quality in it.

The room was fine. The location was good & the property was quiet. I had very little interaction with staff as I input via cellphone pre check-in info such as vehicle info, arrival time and payment info to the hotel. I also checked out using the cellphone. With such low interaction I was surprised when I was prompted to leave a tip during check out. I did not leave a tip.

For a Super 8 and price, it wasn’t so bad. Customer service was good.

It’s a motel so… Dingy towels, looks like a cigarette burn on the chair, neat but items need to be replaced. A remote with no batteries. Breakfast was a brown paper bag with an apple juice, yogurt, and a muffin. The room served my purpose. It was quiet with a an almost full lot.

Room was filthy. Only the bed was made. When the sheets were pulled back I immediately noticed there were several mattress covers on the bed. I looked closer and seen stains on the sheets that appeared to be blood then I seen bed bugs. We did not stay here and got a refund. Staff is obviously aware they have bed bugs and just said sorry.

Secondly, the property also advertises all over with signs that it is a 100% smoke free property and to only smoke in the designated areas. The designated area is a bench next to the handicap spots so when we'd unload and load our handicap son into the car we'd have to all breathe in smoke. It sucked. There were bugs INSIDE my in-room coffee maker. I tried to make a cup of to skip breakfast the first morning and bug body parts spewed out of the machine with my coffee and into the cup. I also had to ask for the hair dryer. While trying to save money by eating from the grocery store and microwaving it in-room, the TV would turn off every time we opened the microwave door. After 2 meals we smelled burning. Most detrimental to our stay were the strange and dangerous men all over the property. Most of them were staying on property and the others... I have no idea. One man stalked behind the stairwell door and tried to grab my toddler while my hands were full carrying my disabled son as we walked from the car to the elevator. Another waited until the elevator door had almost closed to go into it with me when I was alone trying to accost me and I was able to run away screaming NO. I was so happy to leave. I don't recommend this property to anyone.

The hotel itself looks like it may need demolition rather than renovation, but it needs something fast! I’m surprised Hilton would put its name on such a building. In value, it’s a $35 a night motel max.

The room smelled musty and like mold. There were stains on the sheets. The paint on the exterior of the building was all peeling off and the back stairwells all smelled like pee. There’s an exterior elevator to go to the 2nd floor, where our room was but the elevator floor was slanted and it was not very sturdy. I honestly can get over the exterior issues but the smell in that room was so bad. We had brought food in from a late night drive to Northbrook and I had to open the door to move some fresh air through. I felt dirty staying there. Would not recommend.

The room we rented was supposed to accommodate five people. How do you fit five people in two double beds? It was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep. Usually, when I reserve a room for my family, they give us 2 queen beds. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were clean.

Need a little cleaning

I booked online for one nite $75, then I paid for an additional night at the motel it was $91.20 off l so I booked two more additional nights $129 online after I payed for the one night at the motel, 4 night stay total, now here is the scam , after checking out I get home and check my account the motel billed me an additional $100 , I called the motel and asked what it was for they told me I was smoking in the room ! I never smoked in the room and there is no proof I did. Also even if I did, there is no signage stating there is an additional $100 if you smoke in the room. This place is a total scam! also if you book online they will give you a crappy room, S/O I know was in another room "they paid at check in" they had a much nicer room ! this was not my first time at this place but it will be my last ! OBTW Lawyer up because this little $100 scam is going to cost you $1000's in legal fees I guarantee it ! you're not going rip me off and get away with it!

Staff was friendly, bed was clean and comfortable, but could use some new pillows. The booking was for a Super 8, the only place that logo was found was a floor mat in the lobby and the front desk clerk’s shirt… the sign, building, checkout placket on the door all say RedRoof Inn. Nowhere in the listing did it mention RedRoof Inn so that was very confusing. Also the check out time listed in the listing says 11am but the sign on the room door says 12pm

This is a no thrill's type of property. The room was very basic and it looked outdated. The water pressure was okay in the shower, but the rest of the bathroom felt old and rundown. There is free coffee in the lobby. There is no coffee maker in the bedroom. The air-conditioning also only worked in a mediocre manner. All in all, this motel is fine for simple needs but I am not inclined to recommend it for more than a night or two.
