Clean room, clean facility. front desk was stingy about the complimentary water bottles, there was 6 of us and gave us four and scolded us when we asked for the other two saying "ill give this to you but these are only complimentary" Yeah, i know theyre complimentary im asking for the same number of paid guest. Acting like its coming out of his paycheck. Breakfast was ok pretty typical, instant scrambled eggs, paper thin bacons, good bread and pancakes tho. Dog poop on the outside rocky areas arent cleaned up by guest or staff. Fair location and parking is adequate.

Each aspect of this Hampton Inn turned out to be a pleasant surprise. I was nervous about parking in this part of North Hollywood, but I didn't worry about my car (in part because there was a security guard visibly on duty at all times of day). The room was clean and pleasant. The breakfast was better than many I've had, and the atmosphere in whole lobby area was surprisingly bright and cheery. North Hollywood was handy for all the different destinations I wanted to be able to get to, and having the Hampton Inn as my little oasis in a busy, commercial area was a good solution for me. Depending on your lifestyle, I wouldn't say there's much of a pedestrian-friendly neighborhood here (there's a Denny's across the street, though), but if you're looking for a comfortable spot for you and your car, this place is easy to recommend.

Breakfast was good, the room was clean, but they say its dog friendly but have no place at all to walk them not even nearby, assuming they charge extra for this service there should be at least a small pet zone. Also it said online they had a shuttle to Universal Studios which they did not have.

We enjoyed our stay and the convenient location to the theme park as well as a local grocery store. It made our stay as a family go very smoothly. There wasn't any complaint of noise except for the one night there was a false fire alarm, but hey good to know it worked. The breakfast was very good and we appreciated the wide selection. There was even a convenient bagel on the run bag. Great staff great stay.

Breakfast was good. Staff were good. Rooms were clean. The automated doors that let guests in dont work. It's especially anxiety inducing when you want to get back to the hotel after dark, lets say after 10 pm, you have to knock on the doors, to get the security or front desk folks attention. They ask us to just use the access key but that doesn't work. When we told the front desk about it, they said, it does that sometimes.

By far the best continental breakfast we have had at any hotel. Waffle station, hot omelets, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins and more!

The Hampton Inn by Hilton North Hollywood is clean, staff are friendly and provided us with good breakfast. At first, we thought the surrounding area was a little sketchy. However, the service we received outweighs the surrounding area. We felt safe knowing that there’s a security especially monitoring the parking underground the building. We felt safe and it was pretty quiet. The staff was nice. The front desk sent me a text to check if everything is going well so far. We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to Universal Studios Hollywood. In the mornings, the GPS suggested that we took the side streets. Within 10-15mins front the hotel, we are already at Universal Studios parking. We took advantage of their breakfast. Good selection and tasted great! Ms. Gloria from the breakfast area was so hard working making sure everything was replenished and clean! I was really impressed by her moving so fast! I didn’t see her slowing down at all. Overall, I would stay here again with my family. It’s very convenient, safe, clean, and great staff! Thank you for making us feel welcome!

Breakfast was amazing, lots of variety, but we noticed that there was an old lady who was working there, and she was eating while on duty, other-wises it was good.

I do not understand why an extra fee is charged simply because one is not a California resident.

Friendly staff, nice well kept hotel, walking distance to Metro line and major bus lines, pretty safe neighbourhood. A few metro stops from Universal Studio, Warner Bros Studio and Hollywood.

Room was great but I was in room 320 next to employees closet the door slammed 10 times between 5am-7am it was the worst and on top of that whoever was in 420 walked and stumping between 120am-6am like whoever was 500 lbs.

As for the room... FAR from inviting. It was pretty large, which was nice, but the layout was very off-putting. It was obvious that there were once two beds in that room and one was removed. It felt creepy, almost like somebody died in that room and the bed was removed for that reason, which paired with the extremely dingy "highway motel" decor and poor lighting made it feel very haunted. And finally.... The bed. It was literally slanted. I laid down and could feel myself subtly rolling to the left. The pillows were also not the greatest and I could feel the springs in the mattress. The sheets and pillowcases had a stale feel too. Almost as if they hadn't been changed in a long time. Needless to say, not my choice of hotel to stay at in the future.

the reason I love this place so much is because is the front lobby staff! Jeff and Christiano have been more than amazing. I’m going thru some hectic apartment mold issues and the Hampton Inn has provided me with a brief moment of solace and I thank them for that! I highly recommend this hotel!!!

It was a pleasant stay with location being convenient to where we needed to go. Hotel staff was courteous and room was clean. The breakfast and parking was good. The only drawback was the toilet chain had to be fixed a few times after flushing.

Room and bathroom was spotless! Parking was only $15 per day which is a bargain if u ask me. The lobby was also absolutely spotless, and their breakfast was absolutely delicious. I will forever stay with Hampton after this excellent stay!

Such a great place to stay for our trip. Got there early enough for the kids to enjoy the heated pool and left the next day refreshed and with full bellies ready to enjoy Universal.

A lack of furniture was interesting.

The first room’s soap dispenser by the sink didn’t work. Otherwise, the room was fine. The second room was much better. Some members of the staff were friendly and helpful. Other staff members were not friendly. The security guard was great! The breakfasts were below average.

We had a great Thanksgiving with all of you. Thank you so much. Everything was super clean. The staff was phenomenal; always willing to help. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was so comfortable and the pool temperature was perfect. Slept well, bed so comfortable. See you next time.

The room was clean and spacious, but the beds were awful; they were thin, hard mattresses on a wooden slab. The hotel was clean. The breakfast was extremely subpar and tasted like wet, powdered eggs. The location was a hole in the wall; in fact, I missed it on my first attempt and had to backtrack. All in all, it was mediocre, and I'd rather try somewhere else next time.

We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn North Hollywood. The gym was excellent, clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a solid workout while travelling. Breakfast was good with a nice variety, though it would have been great to see more fresh fruit options. The staff were kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.

I have been using Hampton Inn properties for many years. This may however change . If they are going to integrate the cost of their 'free' breakfast into our daily room rate (this is only obvious) they must have a complete makeover of their menu. They have had the same low quality food options for years . This may have been ok years ago when 'free' breakfast was a novelty. But now the competition has offered the same free breakfast option and has included better menu items with much better quality food , with no signicant increase in daily rates. No , I'm not referring to 4**** hotels versus Hamptons' 2-3 *** rating. So c'mon Hampton. Your too good to serve subpar breakfast items! BTW...Hire more people like Jason , who handles the front desk like a pro!!

My grandson thinks we should come back because the breakfast was so good. Our only complaint was not getting enough bath towels. But they did come through eventually with the needed towels

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean overall however, on our 3rd night there was an actual mushroom that sprouted from the ceiling where it appears was an area of moisture. We let the staff know and they said they would make sure their managers knew. Upon checkout there was all other mushroom sprouting from the ceiling. Again we let the staff know and recommended they block off that room until the matter was resolved. Other than that the stay was honestly great.

The hotel rooms are very clean and updated. The free breakfast was excellent. It's a great place to stay with your family or alone.

The only complaint I have is the road noise from Burbank Blvd. It was so loud overnight, it was like the window was open but it was definitely closed.

The staff were amazing, I mean they did everything they could to help guests I saw and even accommodated me. If it was a pure staff review 11/10. Unfortunately what got me was the first room I checked into reeked of marijuana and had the next room over blasting music through my wall. I asked for a change of room and they readily helped. Again, unfortunately the next room I got was right underneath what seemed to be a family. Their children or whoever was above me stomped so loud I thought they were shoving their elbow down purposely. It wasn’t light thumps. It was loud aggressive bangs. I tried to blast my tv to dull out the sound and even had headphones on but nothing helped. It would start at 6-7am and would not stop the entire day. Thankfully one day I was out the entire day but the following morning during check out it lasted all the way until 11. When I got back at 1am, still banging, I barely slept because of it and I drove 6 hours being unbelievably tired. The room was okay, not very modern and seemed very 2000’s. It was clean as I didn’t see anything dirty. Breakfast wasn’t at all very good and they had extremely limited options. I thought I’d eat breakfast there before going out but the most of it was barely any good. But it’s included so what do you expect.

It was a scorching evening in North Hollywood, so the front desk person assigned me a lower floor room, claiming it was cooler. However, this was an accessible room, which I usually accept. However, this room was severely lacking in furniture. The bed was low to the ground, and the ironing board was tiny for someone in a wheelchair. It was quite challenging! Since I was only there for a night, I endured it.

We enjoyed the confort of the bed, the breakfast, the support of the staff, the amenities. This hotel has its own parking place which made it feel safe and the price was reasonable (15 usd all day rate).

I felt my car was safe in parking garage, staff was always friendly, kind and helpful. Room was spacious and clean with everything we needed. The surrounding area is def not nice but that’s not the hotels fault that’s just Hollywood these days unfortunately. Affordable comfortable stay for our weekend trip to universal. The drive to and from theme park was quick and easy.

Great, affordable pet friendly hotel with fantastic hot complimentary breakfast! Not the best location - but even the outdoor pet relief area was in an enclosed section and was well lit. I felt very safe and the hotel was great!

Stayed for 3 nights to go to Universal Studios. Room was clean and staff were super accommodating. Onsite laundry was super useful as well ($1 per load). Was able to get a 5th floor room so street level noise wasn’t an issue (other reviews had mentioned this). Pool was small, but my kids still enjoyed it. Area surrounding the hotel has plenty of options for food. It’s about 15ish min from Universal Studios which is super convienent. I had considered other hotels closer to the park, but i’m glad i chose Hampton Inn. Overall 10/10 experience, would stay here again.

Everything was great from the cleanliness and comfort of our room. Checking in was smooth with friendly staff. The breakfast was great as well. My only complaint was the parking late at night. I came back from universal and had to park in the driveway due to all the parking spots taken. Sorta would have liked my truck parked in the underground parking area. The security guard assisted me which was helpful, but I didn’t have peace of mind with my truck parked near the street.

Must stay at your Hilton Inn was very satisfying. The food was good and hot. The rooms were very nicely. Clean management was very aware and nice. I would definitely suggest this hotel in the near future.

This hotel works as somewhere to stay. Comfortable enough, clean enough. A bit dated and with a few quirks, but gets the job done!

We stay at this formerly named Holiday Inn Express every time we come to L.A. because it's convenient to where our daughter and son-in-law live, it's clean, has secure parking, and offers a free breakfast with the stay. Additionally, it's freeway close, the staff is friendly, and the rooms have both a min-refrigerator and microwave oven. This said, we were happier with our rooms before the renovation and conversion to Hampton Inn management. The one piece cabinet ensemble that houses the microwave and fridge comes with only one drawer to store clothes and is of low quality. Additionally, there is no longer a safe in the room, no desk, and the chairs are horribly uncomfortable.

It was average. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn. Room was typical Hampton Inn. Fridge wasn’t very cold at all. Called the front desk, they had someone come check, was given “it is here just to keep things from getting hot, not necessarily to make them cold”

This property was in a great location for us in the San Fernando Valley. It is on the edge of being a good area but it is secure and safe and there is a 24 hour security guard on the property in plain site all the time. Breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable. We will use this hotel again. Thank you.

The beds were decent, the bedding was soft. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and lotion in wall mounted containers. Microwave was tiny byt we made it work. Parking garage is a little difficult to get in and out of.
