Tonya at the front desk was super nice. After 10pm you have to use your room key to enter the hotel. A good safety feature.

Check-in was super easy, and both the rooms and swimming pool were clean and well maintained. The WiFi was strong, and the lobby was welcoming with comfortable areas to sit and work if you didn’t want to stay in your room. The rooms also include popular streaming apps (i.e., Netflix, Disney+, AppleTV, Youtube) so you’re not stuck watching cable television. The staff were incredibly friendly, from check-in with Ms. Naiema and Ms. Tanya to the housekeeping and custodial teams. Everyone was genuinely kind and greeted you with a smile. They also offer coffee and tea throughout the day and a breakfast buffet in the morning. I would definitely book this place again and have already shared with my local CHS friends how impressed I was with the hotel.

All staff were super friendly. Breakfast was awesome! Nice pool area with well stocked pool towels available. Room was very clean, although we found the beds to be terrible- very hard and the pillows, well, quite opposite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Hotel was clean as well as our room. Breakfast was not great - we usually stay at a Holiday Inn so that was the standard used to compare it.

Staff was very friendly, check in/out was very easy. Bed sheets were a little stained on one of the beds, but otherwise clean. The breakfast area could use some work. No juice machine, it was broken down. The yogurt machine was also broken. They didn’t have regular scrambled eggs, but small omelets with peppers and other stuff inside. Not many people eat that.

The hotel is conveniently located near The Citadel — about a 20-minute drive away. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. They also offer a great buffet breakfast each morning. What truly stood out was the staff — they were tremendously amazing, friendly, and very helpful throughout the stay. They even allowed me to access the neighboring hotel’s laundry facilities free of charge, which was definitely a huge plus. The location also felt very safe and convenient, with nearby restaurants, shopping areas, gas stations, museums, zoos, and the airport all within easy reach. Highly recommend and would gladly stay here again.

Staff refused to let my husband check in even though his name was the one on the credit card the reservation was booked with. The manager stated it’s a safety issue but if it was such a safety issue wouldn’t you call the number on the reservation?

My room’s air conditioning unit was unfortunately very loud, however I told the staff at check out and they said they’d alert maintenance. I appreciated the noon checkout since my flight was mid afternoon. I would happily stay here again.

From checking in to checking out everything was great. Whenever I'm searching for a hotel this brand is the 1st that comes to my mind. Everything always great! Room is perfect and bed always sleep good! Clean bathroom with great water pressure!!

We stayed for 3 nights, and we were told room service is every other day. On the second day before leaving the hotel, my wife put our toiletries away and cleaned up to help housekeeping. That evening when came back, housekeeping never came. I had to go to the lobby and get clean towels and find out what happened. Never found out what happened, just an apology. Now days you pay good money for a hotel stay, you want good service. The hotel was very clean, just check to make sure you will get your service.

The location was great, only 15 minutes away from downtown Charleston. The price was not bad. As you get closer to downtown, the price goes up. Enjoyed our stay at Tru in North Charleston during a work retreat. We worked in the cheerful lobby and took breaks in the nicely appointed pool area. Breakfast food was prepared excellently. Five stars and looking forward to our return.

The location is great. Right next to the freeway to get downtown. The building also had gas stations and places to grab a quick bite to eat if needed. I was disappointed to have to ask for towels because the rooms weren't cleaned while I was there. We checked in on Friday. The room was supposed to be cleaned on Sunday, but it wasn't.

It’s a 20 minute drive to downtown Charleston, SC from this hotel. This hotel is located near a very busy road. Even going to restaurants close by it can get complicated since you are not familiar with the area and have to deal with 6 lane traffic. Plus I wish the room had a microwave so you can warm up the leftovers or something you got for dinner.

Tru hotel was the most beautiful place to stay. I absolutely loved all the bright colors. The interarea designer is truly gifted. Tur by Hilton made me happy. The carpet color lovely. the furniture in the lobby and the way of the arrangement so lovely. My room was clean and inviting. My only complaints were that the mini refrigerator did not cool. and the fact that I had to leave the room and travel downstairs to use the microwave because there was no microwave in my room. Other than that I would still give Tru all thumbs up. Just a lovely hotel to stay.

The entire hotel is spotless bright and inviting. Staff were pleasant, check in was a breeze. Rooms are comfortable and clean, love the tile and colors. The bed slept so good! The rooms were very sterile and cold feeling. The hotel had kids running day and night unattended by adults and they were very rude, noisy, and messy in the lobby area. Both nights of our stay we hardly got any sleep because of the excessive noise in the room above us. I tried to call the front desk and no answer. Finally at 5am had to go down to front desk and ask that they deal with them. We only got 2 hours of sleep that night and maybe 3 or 4 the night before. There was not much food left for breakfast because of all of these kids and also they were playing hockey in our hallway and screaming and hitting the walls and doors with their hockey sticks and pucks. I will never be back or recommend to anyone.

This was a great place, especially since we had to book last minute. We were traveling with our puppy so we needed a pet friendly place to stay. The staff were welcoming and hospitable. The accommodations were just right for what we needed—a clean place to sleep with a fitness center and pet friendly. You advertise queen beds but the beds were clearly not queen size they are double. This was a disappointment and a tight squeeze for 2 adults to sleep in what was supposed to be queen beds. I have a queen bed at home and know the size in room was not QUEEN BEDS. I dont think I will book again with your company. When I spoke with your staff her response was oh they are Queen.

The refrigerator in the room worked off and on I asked for extra blankets and I got fitted sheets other than that. Everything is OK.

We were able to bring our lab with us and he enjoyed the stay! Close to a lot of stores, and restaurants! Only negative thing would be the smell of weed through the floor, elevators and outside while we were swimming.

Everything about our stay was exceptional! The only issue I had was the bed was too firm for me, that was my only issue. The room was large and spotless. Would definitely recommend!

Well-appointed room with electrical outlets and USBs everywhere. Quiet AC made for a good night's sleep. But, my room size was smaller than average. Not a big deal traveling alone, but I imagine a bit tight for two. Excellent hot breakfast.

What could use some improvement was the breakfast. The juice was more of a flavored water, had only one pancake making machine which you had to wait in a line for and at times it was a long line, also there was not a variety of options to choose from and each day the breakfast was the same. All in all it was a pleasant stay.

Overall, the condition of the property and the room was good. The hotel overstated the room size by 200 SF and tried to tell me that they are sorry that the room FEELS small, but it is actually 450 SF. I'm a GC and know what I'm talking about. After spending over an hour on the phone with Expedia and the hotel. I was given about a 20% refund. The only reason I picked this hotel is I wanted a big room. As of this time some of the rooms are still showing 450 SF. Buyer beware!!!

I took my mom to Charleston on a mother- daughter trip. We stayed 3 days at Tru by Hilton. THANK YOU to Tiara and Cheryl at the front desk who were super professional and kind! They recommended great places to eat which were amazing. Ms. V was super kind at breakfast and made our breakfast experience great! Thanks for making our stay great. We will stay again!

Im checking in, staff telling i will not get tehy will not honor my points because reservation was done for a 3er party, just last 22 i was in Pompano beach, i got a got a 5 stars for thiat location, my fly was delete and thay evem offer a late checking out, just customers service was total so different much better, why soo much difference on same hotel chain, training should be the same.

Dislike the clothes storage in the room. Barely space to hang clothes or drawers to store them.

Room was kinda small. Parking was frustrating. The shower didn’t get hot although the sinks would. The lighting was awful and made the room feel Denji.

Very comfortable, clean, and modern. There was a pool table on lobby which was cool. Pool outside. Plenty of chairs to sun bathe. I had a great experience here.

I stay in Tru's quite often. The hotels account is in my name. Usually my wife and son get to the hotel before me and have never had an issue checking in even though I am the name on the reservation. This time I added my wife to the reservation. I arrived first and was not allowed to check in. Even though I had the reservation number and the card that was used for payment, I had to just chill before they arrived. Tru needs to teach a common sense class. This was a Tru manager/trainer that would not let me check in.

The staff are kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The area around this block is mostly hotels but there’s lots of shopping and dining nearby. Great place! I love the all night coffee, especially because they have decaf!!

The room was very clean. I saw the staff cleaning inside and outside all the time. Staff was great. Breakfast was good.

Only things that I didn't like was the comfort of the bed and there was no dark out curtain other then that excellent stay.

Clustered off the highway with a bunch of other hotels, so was convenient. Clean, easy and quiet. About 25 min to Charleston in traffic.
