We stayed there for 4 days and the staff didn’t come once to tidy up the room even after asking. We ran out of body soap in the bathroom. There was a cockroach in our room and the staff didn’t say much about it when we showed them photos. When we asked for a late checkout the cleaning people finally came to our room and kept trying to get in every 5 minutes when the late checkout we had asked for was only 30 minutes later than the actual checkout. Staying here wasn’t great but we had a room to stay in and a place to store our stuff. I wouldn’t stay here again necessarily.

The breakfast room and food were fantastic, as well as our suite. The parking lot were spacious and it’s free! What else can you ask for? We’ll be back for sure. Excellent hotel! The only thing we found negative was a couple of the walls were dirty like someone opened up something that bursted and landed directly to the walls like splats in a couple of different areas, it makes you wonder what they were and they gross you out. So, we sprayed them with 70% alcohol and cleaned them up so we won’t be looking at them.

Stayed for 4 days and felt right at home. Kitchen fully supplied with dish soap, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot and large refrigerator. Nice separate sitting area for early bird to retreat to so that others could sleep in. Only thing I would want would be a firmer mattress, but still had a good night sleep.

I love how you can cook in your hotel room. It’s also so cool and the first time I’ve been to a place where you can borrow board games, or stuff like a rice cooker at the front desk. The beds were soft and the staff was very nice.

Nicely maintained. Pool was small but clean. Housekeeping didn’t show up to do anything. One day they slipped a note under our door very early saying they had been by but I don’t find this adequate service. Also breakfast was supposed to end at 9:30 but staff started putting items away at 9:00.

Good: Soft bed, large room, easy parking, bedroom separate from sitting space. Bad: On side overlooking highway with constant noise, so bring earplugs. Wifi and TV were intermittent or our 2 days, complementary food ok but bot great.

They had roaches and beetles in the room. We were moved to another room. This created an inconvenience. There is a 19.00 transaction pending. This should be dropped with my check out for incidents that was zero.

I enjoyed the central location of this property and it's quietness. My 1st trip they upgraded me to a full fledged suite which we enjoyed and appreciated after our second stay. During my first trip the TV was not functioning properly and the cheerful maintenance man came up immediately with a whole new TV. Our second trip was last minute and could only get a King studio on the 5th floor with no upgrades, we booked a 2 night stay. We were treated to a countertop of German cockroaches that morning. In addition the room phone was not functioning, the drain had no stopper, and no one could find one either, the safe didn't have any power to it. I let the desk clerk know that morning of our roach problem and the night before I let the desk know about the other issues. On top of it all the comfort control was malfunctioning! No one took any action, not even an apology. To this day I await the general managers phone call. Sad a nice property went downhill. The breakfast buffet was not good either as the sausage was so hard you could use it as a Frisbee. I hope they address these issues. The only decent person at the place was the maintenance man on our first trip, the rest need a strong re education on hospitality.

Not a thing! Wouldn't even know since they canceled our reservation and turned us away. Said payment was declined on a card I do not even have. I showed proof it was prepaid. I have the receipt. They blamed Booking. The way we were treated and between Booking.com and this hotel someone has our money and refusing to reimburse us. Total nightmare after driving 6 hours.

When I checked in the room smelled like dog piss. There was no other rooms available so I had to suffer through the night. Of course no sleep. I was finally moved to a different room. The smell was so bad it was making me sick. The lock on the door was broken. The outside of the door had black smudges. The shower faucet was loose. The toilet paper holder broken. Needless to say this hotel needs a lot of repairs and upkeep. Overall it was manageable. The staff was great even the manager who assisted in getting moved to another room.

Social hour with free food at dinner time. Very clean and pet friendly. So busy there wasn't a moving cart available for awhile so we could unload. They did try to locate one for us, though.

To get us into a room they had to send someone to veryfy if a room was empty. We had booked a standard King bed room. The King size bed was an important feature we need to sleep comfortably. We were put into a suite that had a double bed (room 505) which did not provide a great sleep as we were cramped into the bed. Of course we know things happen, but this made our overnight stay while traveling miserable.

Mostly positive experience as expected. Unexpected positive: free breakfast and also free food in the evening. Unexpected negative: the very tiny swimming pool is located right near the front door of the property, where also the parking is.

Hotel is very convenient and offer a lot of amenities!! The rooms are nice and they offer a full refrigerator and cook top stove very nice for families traveling with children!! I would recommend anyone to stay here!!!

Staff were friendly. My husband and son enjoyed the pool table. The continental breakfast was great, they had turkey sausage as one of the meat options which I was happy because I don't eat pork. The waffles were great! My issue was with the slow drain in the shower. By the 2nd day you were standing in a tub full of water. It was gross.

I had many issues with my room but I have to say they took of every single issue and was very quick about it!

Not a big fan of paper plates and plastic forks. The time could be extended a half hour more. Need another waffle maker, to alleviate the line. Otherwise, the food was okay.

I will never patronize this establishment/Suite again. I wouldn't recommend this Suite to anybody. Good luck and good riddance. See above response. I did not like anything about the Suite. It wasn't a horrible experience; but it wasn't a great one either.

The amenities at this hotel were over the top! The fire pit allowed time for guests to be social, the breakfasts were wonderful the evening socials at dinner time was a big surprise. Our room was very comfortable and I was glad to be able to do laundry on the last night of our visit! Location was a little far away from the Charleston Historic District.

Our stay was great except check in was at 3pm but our rooms weren't avaliable so we had to wait over an hour in the parking lot. Parking was another issue due to dump truck and box trucks taking up numerous spaces. Also, we paid for King size suites but our beds were only queen size. Cookware was dirty but we cleaned it before and after use. Overall, I would recommend.

The room itself was decent, but comfort is a major part of any stay, and unfortunately that fell short here. I’d recommend the property consider upgrading their mattresses or adding pillow-top options to improve sleep quality. Overall, not a bad stay, but not one I’d rave about either.

Our stay here was not the best. We reserved a king size room but when we arrived they said they had “upgraded us” to a Queen bedroom suite. To me, a smaller bed is not an upgrade. The front staff was nice and got the room changed back to what we had originally reserved. But while we were waiting for our room, an irate gentleman was in the lobby cursing at the front staff then took a gun from his waistband, put it on the counter and spun it around. To say I was uncomfortable is an understatement. Our room was okay, but there was lots of dust, especially higher up like around the toaster. This is a pet friendly motel so be prepared.

This was the worst hotel experienced in my career. I booked through expedia in which I never have issues. I am on my way to the hotel and receive an email stating that my reservation was cancelled at that I needed to give them a call by 6pm to keep my reservation. I then called the hotel and was told that my reservation had already been cancelled and that they had no vacancies. I then get another email stating that I needed to call the hotel to confirm my reservation. I called the hotel again and was told that my reservation was still active and that they were waiting on us to arrive. When I get to the hotel to check in after driving 3 hours I was told that my reservation had been cancelled again and they had no vacancies and there was nothing she could do about it. I was furious because I was lied to by this hotel multiple times and they had no remorse. The parking was horrible and people were just parking everywhere and the hotel was full of nasty animals with not consideration for people who have pet allergies. The level of unprofessionalism at this hotel was absurd and should not be allowed.

The hotel has poor customer service. My room was cancelled because my card was locked. As stated in the reservation that I will pay at property once I arrive. Never received a phone call about card issue because all I had to do was remove the lock off my card. Arrived at property to find out my reservation was canceled around 5:00 pm and coming four hours out of town to find a place to stay was not easy. Thank you for your inconveniences and poor communication skills. This was an bad experience don’t wish this on my worst enemy.

As always, the staff are so nice and Mario, one of the managers, has went out of his way to make my stays great. I stay here every weekend for business. I tried another hotel once and came back quickly. The inly things I would love to see is smaller free weights in gym, and mustard at breakfast for my sausage.

Why say there is parking when all around the Hotel are signs thay say- No Truck Parking...loss money for the room and a plave to sleep for the night. They really disnt cvatr!!!that say thsthay say

The manager Mario is exceptional! He does a great job at managing the property. All of the staff were friendly. The hotel was kept clean and they attended to my room being cleaned often. I would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

Bed was old and lumpy. Breakfast standard. They charged us $150 for a pet fee for one dog after telling us that the fee was $50 upon arrival. The manager on the phone was super rude and refused to reimburse us the difference.

Had a great stay. The staff were so kind and the room was clean for the most part. There were stains on the ottoman and the bathroom shower head could use some cleaning. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The body wash, shampoo, and conditioner smelled really good too.

The front desk attendant failed to tell me a out the great breakfast, evening snacks, internet and other amenities, but the friendly patrons explained it. Pots, pans, dishes were avaliable in the room. Parking was limited but overall, great experience.

We had a great stay. Breakfast options are amazing. We were put in a handicap room with a kitchenette, which is great but it was not clean. Parking is limited and full of ATT work trucks. Parking requires a pass displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle.

Power went out in our room 2 different times for no reason. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. Room was to be cleaned every other day. The one day they only picked up towels. Room felt dirty and the carpet had a big rip on it. Comforter was dirty.

There was definitely dry blood in the middle of my floor, and blood droplets on the bottom, half of the other bed that I wasn’t sleeping in. The lock almost locked me in and out of my own room. But the hotel staff was friendly and accommodated.

Bed was not the most comfortable——at all. But otherwise, it was a great property.

I WASTED $60 WORTH OF STEAKS. BY NOT BEING ABLE TO UTILIZE THIS COMMON AREA NOT A GOOD LOOK FOR YOUR BRAND

From check-in to check-out, everything ran smoothly. The hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere perfect for both relaxing and working. I highly recommend TownePlace Suites by Marriott North Charleston to anyone visiting the area. Overall, I would confidently give this hotel a 5-star rating for its cleanliness, safety, and outstanding service.

Never stayed at a town plaza before, but I would stay again really like the idea of a washer and dryer available and the full kitchen and the double queen room was I added surprise even had a dishwasher very nice rooms very comfortable beds clean and I felt safe with me and my two granddaughters

Overall stay was comfortable

The suite is set very nice and someone wants to stay a few days the room is set up with all the necessary utensils and appliances. You can cook on top stove and on the microwave plus all necessary dishes. Great job!!

The staff was nice. We stayed for 4 nights and not received room service once. Even though the manager himself promised us. Our room wasn't very clean to begin with. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was great too. On one night the smoke alarms went off at 2am, so that wasn't fun.

Great hotel with grills. The outdoor pool was kind of small. Rooms had kitchen and sofa bed. Was very spacious. Enjoyed the pool table. Breakfast had many varieties even no pork options. Enjoyed the city view at night. Staff was friendly.

This place was wonderful. It was clean, and the staff working the front desk were so pleasant and helpful. One young lady at the desk was named Danielle. I shot video footage of the room and throughout the building. I was super impressed and will stay here anytime I am in Charleston.

There is just one issue we noticed. There is a sound happening probably when the elevator moves. It sounds like loud banging coming from the roof.

The staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean but the toilet paper holder was broken. I told the front desk and they offered to send someone up to fix it. I told them not to worry as we were only staying one night. Breakfast was okay.

The hotel itself is clean and quiet, breakfast was good but a bit early from 5a-9a. There was no room service or housekeeping services during the stay. The surrounding area is not safe at all, drug addicts and unhoused people roaming the area and I was uneasy that the doors were not keycard locked after 11pm like the sign said. I booked two rooms under my name but they did not reserve them close together, they werent even on the same floor. There was no cable only a few local channels, and one of the rooms smelled strongly of mold, probably because the toilet was leaking. We were told they were completely booked and there were no other rooms available. The night check in lady was not very pleasant, not rude, but not pleasant; kind of just flat. As a Marriott property I would expect more, but the pillows were fluffy and the room and bathroom was clean. It was an average stay.

Efficient check in. Some deferred maintenance. Rusty light fixture in bathroom, plastered area on walls, drawer falling apart. Excellent breakfast selections. Afternoon beer and wine with food a nice addition. Down the road there was a group of homeless camping out--made me feel less safe.

Very nice suite with kitchenette. Only suggestion would be a longer shower curtain. It barely reached the tub so lots of water on floor to wipe up. Breakfast was very good.

I needed to borrow a blender for my dietary needs and they let me borrow one for the entire seven days that we were there

This was our first time staying at a TownePlace Suites. The prices were incredible so we were a little skeptical and not sure what to expect when we drove in. The hotel is in an area with plenty of places to eat just down the road and we felt very safe despite some homelessness nearby. Our room was so spacious, huge in fact! Small kitchenette with everything you need to cook if that’s what you wanted to do. We liked that there was a 4 chair table to sit at and eat. And the rooms smelled so good. There is also FREE laundry which was amazing. We stayed 4 nights so did one load of laundry. My only complaint was that the free breakfast was a little lacking and it ended too early on weekdays. We will definitely stay at one of these again.

The manager was there assisting the newbie to check us in. They both were super friendly and helpful. We were there for basketball tournaments and exhausted so it was a plus that the check was not a long process.The place was nice and clean. Our room was clean except for the couch had stains that grossed us out. The breakfast was absolutely amazing with so many things to choose from and the hours to eat were reasonable. It wasn't where you had one or two hours to come down and eat and then they closed. They actually opened early and closed breakfast pretty late. The checkout was also at 12. That was nice as well. On the last day there, we had plenty of time to go eat breakfast and then come back and get dressed/packed to leave. I would definitely stay here again if we were in town if they fixed the stained couch issue.

Was a great place to stay at. Was a 20-30 minute distance to beach depending on traffic. Would not consider 100% a safe area but also not too dangerous at all. Hotel staff were always very nice & helpful.

It was all inclusive. If you had your family and wanted to prepare your own meal inbyour room you had that option to buy your groceries and have a nice meal without ordering take out. I liked that.

From the moment we checked in, we were treated with a smile and kindness. I wish I could remember the name of the man who checked us in, but he was so accommodating and constantly checked to ensure our stay was to our satisfaction. From the Happy Hour snacks to the excellent breakfast, the food and coffee hit the spot. Our room was great! The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had a fridge big enough to accommodate our groceries. I highly recommend this hotel!

We had a very nice stay. Everyone was great. The pool is very small but nice. I only mention it in case you were expecting to do laps. Breakfast we great and they get it started early.

Comfy bed and quiet room

I loved this hotel so comfortable and friendly

It exceeded our expectations, as the room was spacious with everything inside. Everything includes kitchen utilities for cooking, a big fridge, a dishwasher, etc. The bed was comfortable, and the washroom was great and spacious.

Room was clean and offered a full kitchen. Breakfast was complimentary.

Loved the pool table available 24 hours a day. The Pool was really small, and the breakfast wasn't anything to get excited about. Room was nice, on the small side. Clean though.

We had an issue with the room and they were willing to change rooms. Everyone was nice and accommodating. Mario on the phone Ms Brenda at check in many other at the front desk i didnt get their names and the maintenance man too.

Perfect is you are looking for an space to cook your own food

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. We especially liked the kitchen and amenities. We did have an issue with our toilet upon arrival, but it was handled immediately. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, and the coffee was great. The staff was very friendly and responsive.

The hotel is close to the freeway and convenient. Great customer service. Pool is an after thought and very small and right next to the parking lot. Breakfast was decent and clean.

Great stay in North Charleston. Hotel room was spacious and comfy. All of the staff we met were nice and seemed to be happy to be working there. Definitely a perfect spot to getaway to Charleston.

They had a billards room which was great and they did dinner during the week which was outstanding. Great experience overall. Nothing is really in walking distance but for us it was a great location for what we were there for.

The property was in a great location for us. The property and room was cleanand quiet. The staff was professional and very helpful. The room was as advertised including the pool, laundry and gym . We really enjoyed our stay. I wasn't very impressed with the scrambled eggs or the bacon on the complementary breakfast buffet but there were so many other options. The blueberry muffins, fresh fruit, oatmeal, and waffles definitely made up for it. We will be back on our next visit.

The place was clean and felt safe which is what I needed after checking out early from another establishment nearby.

Really comfortable bed! The kitchen was well stocked for what we needed. I enjoyed being able to use the free washer and dryer. The staff at breakfast was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay again. The only downgrade is the cabinetry in the kitchen was a bit broken and needs either maintenance or replaced. Not a bad commute into the historic section or a plantation visit
