Absolutely great. Only think I could ask for is cups in the room. Other than that, awesome!

It was fun, had a great stay!!!

This hotel isn't in the most ideal location however it has so much personality! There is no front desk staff so everything is done via phone which isn't a problem. If noise bothers you, this isn't the place for you. We are music lovers so the live music was a bonus.

Clean room, great location and great price

Clean room. Cute decor/retro vibe. Nice in room keurig for morning coffee. Very interesting sleep machine with lots of choices. Very convenient parking! Only complaint was confusion (mostly on my part) about paying a100 incidentals deposit beforehand so it was like I didn’t have a reservation at first. All got resolved, so that was good. Neighborhood doesn’t feel walkable, but that was not a surprise. I wasn’t there long, but it was good for what I needed. I enjoyed the shower also!

The room was clean and comfortable, and the pool & lounge area made this place a 5-star experience! I will definitely stay here again next time I make it to Charleston.

I was impressed from the moment I arrived with our experience at the Starlight inn. My only regret is not having stayed more than one night. I would like to have experienced more of Charleston. This was a great stop on our journey. Clean and comfortable. Loved the retro feel of the room, lounge and nightly music.

The Starlight Motor Inn was perfect for our overnight in Charleston! The room was spotless and bed/linens high quality and comfy. Didn’t have a chance to visit the pool or bars but I’ll be sure to next time!

I had huge hopes for the Starlight Motor Inn but was disappointed. Because of the hundreds of excellent reviews on Hotels.com for this property, I felt confident in booking. First impression, neighborhood is rough, to include an abandoned gas station right behind it that looked to have shady activities going on and homelessness. Pulled into the parking lot to find, what looked like, an abandoned car with windows busted out, screwdriver in one of the windows. Reception area was cute. Got rooms on the ground level; bad decision. Very very noisy! People upstairs with blaring TV, banging, heavy walking, slamming, etc., late into the evening; 11:30ish. Very busy parking lot, loud vehicles and when people walked in front of the doors, you could hear clearly conversations. Did not realize this was a “stop” for LGBT+ for pride month so lots and lots of foot traffic, loud music, etc. very much for a younger clientele. Wish I had known as our group is 44-60 age range. Rooms are not cleaned unless you pay a daily fee. No biggie but we blew through the four coffee pods day 1 and never got replenished. There are no closets or dressers in the rooms so you have to live out of your suitcase. There is space for a few items to hang. Plenty of towels offered and soaps. Cute decor. Beds were comfy. Burgundy room is very small and caters more to a certain lifestyle, so again, younger clientele and not for an older crowd. Maybe why waitress was so rude.

This is a very unique property. A very trendy 60’s vibe. Management is doing it right!

First, I love old school motor court hotels and this one has updated rooms which was a very pleasant surprise. It sits just 5 miles from city center where much of the action happens. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this property for something different and fun.
