This property has a “tired” feel to it. Furniture is scratched and scuffed, carpets are stained. Needs a remodel. The lady at the front desk who checked us in Was fantastic! So friendly and definitely an asset to this property.

Breakfast was a 7 out of 10. What they had was decent. Same thing everyday. Not much fresh fruit. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was great. We stayed 3 nights in early May. Greeted by Monty, he was real nice and friendly. We added a third night so we could spend more time in Charleston. This hotel was about a 20 minute drive to the beach which we were fine with. We had a king suite. Very clean. For $132 a night all in, it was a great bargain. Breakfast was your typical, not bad, not great. No complaints. When we come back we’ll stay here again.

The breakfast was cold—even the hot dishes and the staff could not be bothered to even try to help. I felt as though I was an inconvenience to them for asking for any kind of help. The second morning, there was nothing left, although we were well within the time that breakfast should have been served.

The elevator was broken. The television was broken. No one came to fix the TV until the next day. They said they would bring a new remote and they never came was up all night didn’t see him until the next day. The TV technician that came was very nice and he was able to fix the TV. The coffee was cold and the bagel was frozen. Horrible stay.

We loved the cozy room. It had everything we needed including a kitchen, couch, table and a nice size bathroom. The area was very quiet and we were fairly close to everything that we wanted to do. The front desk staff were super friendly and spoke everytime they saw us. The firepit and outside sitting area were also super cozy with plenty of seating options. We didn't eat the breakfast but I'm sure it would of been delicious and we didn't swim because it was too cold but overall, the place was perfect for our weekend getaway. No complaints.

Very Unique that in addition to a free breakfast, they offered a complimentary supper to guests Mon-Thurs. A very nice surprise and the food was great. The room was great. The patio with firepit was also very relaxing! Would definitely stay here again and recommend it for other travelers. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was seamless.

We were able to book last minute. The receptionist had issues getting the keys to work. I took 3 tries to get it right. She was pleasant and made it right with an upgrade. The breakfast was great. My husband was happy they served grits. Property was very clean. We only stayed a few hours, but it was good

The hotel was nicely appointed, though a bit outdated. The rooms were very clean when we arrived, but we had to request that the rooms be serviced and the towels replaced after the first two days. I’m not sure how long they would have waited had we not asked.

The staff was excellent! They were some of the best we have ever dealt with. The room was good, not great and there were some areas that needed cleaning that we did ourselves, the bed was aweful. It had a dip in the middle and my wife and I both felt as though we never got a good night sleep. The kitchen seemed to have all a person needednif tou were inclined to eat in, which we didn't. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever encountered as well, with lots of options every morning. I just wished it would have been available a little longer during the week. 7-10 on the weekends and 6-9 during the week. 10 during the week would have been perfect. Overall we were quite happy and would visit again.

I must say I really enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very friendly upon checking in and throughout my stay. Room was clean well equipped if you plan on staying multiple days. I wasn’t very hungry but decided to go to breakfast anyway and I’m glad I did. They had grits, eggs, sausage, cereal, and waffles and more! Definitely a 10/10

Overall, we had a really nice stay there. The one-bedroom suite was bigger than we expected and mostly very clean. However, there was a dark stain on the carpet by the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and had a comfortable couch in the living room as well. We were only there for a weekend, so we didn't really use the kitchen much, but they did have also have a nice seating area outside with a fire pit. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was okay. However, although there are a lot of nice, new hotels in this area, the area near the hotel was a little sketchy.

This hotel is the best one in North Charleston that I have been to. It's really nice, clean and has a comfortable bed. I would highly recommend coming to this hotel. The staff are nice and friendly as well.

We stayed two nights. When returning to our room the second night we found the room wasn't cleaned and the cleaning crew had left gor the day. The manager was very concerned abd treated us fairly.

The staff we encountered were very friendly, especially the ladies in the breakfast area. While the outside of the hotel looked updated, the inside was very outdated and smelled like mildew. Spacious rooms but would not return to this location.

The reason for 4 stars is the cigarette smoke smell that was present at our door in the hallway, hot water taking up to 30 minutes to flush out the cold water and elevator being in and out of ofservice throughout our stay. The staff was really nice they were so helpful and friendly, the main person we talked to often was Marva, she was so helpful and friendly and next was also a woman who was expecting that we chatted with I don't know her name. The rooms are spacious and I utilized the pullout sofa each night and it is pretty large and was a peaceful sleep. Loved that we had a full kitchen especially the day after Thanksgiving we were able to heat our leftovers in the microwave and put a good amount of food in the fridge to eat off of during our stay and didn't have to worry about finding utensils or dishes to eat from. We used the gym also and the facilities were good and also watched tv during the treadmill walk. The breakfast was delicious, even on the morning of Thanksgiving they didn't have a full breakfast but even then had quiche, fritattas, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, pastries etc so we were just fine with our breakfast and it was delicious. The next day was grits, a spicy sausage with peppers and onions, eggs and belgian waffles, quite tasty. We spent time in the patio area several times also. Loved that as well especially the firepit out there. Great conventient location also. The only thing that we weren't a fan of was the tub can get slippery and the bathroom light was a bit dim but it seems to be those type of lights that brighten after a while on. Cons: breakfast often ran out of many items before end of breakfast times and slow to refill items - but it was a busy holiday weekend. Microwave in breakfast area was broken and appears to have been that way for awhile, so no way to warm up items unless you went back to room. Some sketchy activity and drug activities nearby but they stayed away from guests.

We like Residence Inn rooms with equipped mini kitchens and space to relax. Building and rooms as a while were nice, but the elevators showed considerably wear. The breakfast was very sub-par to the point that we skipped it after the first morning. This was a surprise because usually Residence Inn breakfasts are very good (for being a hotel breakfast). We left the room around 10 each morning but never received room service. Not a biggie, was easy to get fresh towels at the desk, but it would have been nice to have the room freshened up during the week.

It was not as clean as I thought it should have been. Even though the pool was closed it was Dirty. People had animal and the dog food was wasted in front of door no one cleaned it up.

The hotel has a contract with some workers who was fighting bamming shouting loudly woke all us up including my toddler from 10- 1am until i reported them after reporting them they continuing to fight yell screaming i complained to front desk which i had to moves rooms … the first room was ok besides the microwave being dirty but if they missed that makes me think what else was missed …

They had a variety of options for breakfast which was fantastic. The room was clean and very roomy.

There was no wifi, limited parking, the heat did not go to the setting on the thermostat, and the TVs were small.

We read later this area is a high crime area. Northern Charleston is high crime. Hotel fairly clean. Staff nice.

It was clean and free breakfast was decent. Kitchenette was nice, but not necessary. They somehow ran out out of pillows leaving us short, but all in all it was a good experience.

We had to travel due to hurricane Helene and had to evacuate our home. We came here and everything seen fine at first. The staff and room was great. However, while eating breakfast they allowed pets to be in the breakfast area. I understand being a pet friendly hotel but they shouldn’t be around where people eat. For that, I will not return.

We were close to the base and restaurants. Definitely, try Aminici, three minutes away and Page's Okra Grill in Summerville. The hotel was not in the best area but I never felt unsafe but beware of your surroundings.

Check in was fast and easy! Washer and dryer did the job. NO regular creamer in the lobby. Powdered creamer in the room. Breakfast was meh….definitely one of the worst for a Residence Inn. Air conditioner was extremely loud.

We loved this place so much we stayed an extra night. The outdoor areas are so nice and the rooms are beautiful and clean. Every single staff member has been unbelievably kind and helpful, from front staff to the night security guard. we used the grill and it was full of propane. Breakfast was good and had lots of options. The store is expensive but helpful. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Asked to have room cleaned and 2 days it wasn’t - front desk must have missed this - but great night staff!!

Great stay

Wonderful spacious apartment-style suites with a nice fitness center, patio, and pool! Staff was also lovely and complimentary dinner & breakfast buffets were a nice touch.

The stay was amazing in Charleston sc, wish it was closer to downtown but otherwise perfect

Great stay!

Hotel looked nice but seemed like a rough area of town. Breakfast was excellent with many options. Also, free beer in the afternoon was a bonus. Only complaint about the stay was small pillows. Had to have extra but would’ve rather had one big pillow.

We stayed in a two-room suite and it was fabulous. The staff was friendly, and excellent (quick) check-in when we came in after midnight after a flight delay. My only complaint was the shop where they sell snacks and such was low in supply. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Very disappointed. I realized I clicked the wrong hotel I stead of the one that was closer to the airport. When I called Expedia the agent called the hotel but they said they couldn’t delete the reservation because no managers were at the property. They said to call back in the morning but my reservation was for today. Needless to say I’ve now lost nearly 300.00 due to lack of customers service

Garbage disposal had a horrible odor, needs to be addressed.Overall a very pleasant stay.

As always residence inn is clean and modern and convenient, and reasonably priced

Good location, close to everything and also very clean and nice rooms.

Staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The hotel rooms were a bit dated but in this area that’s expected. It was clean, comfortable, and I regret not coming back here for my second stay in North Charleston.

Signage is below par. Lots of hotels in the area and the Residence Inn sign not lit. Hard to identify front door. No mat in bathtub. Slipped and fell hard.

Great hotel accommodations. Loved the suites roominess and setup. Enjoyed the manager get together on night of arrival, outdoor fireplace, and breakfasts. Nice laundry room for travelers.

I liked that the room was very clean and had all the conveniences that I wanted and needed!! Parking lot was always full!!

Our suite was perfect. It was spacious, clean and up to date. Breakfast was a full breakfast with freshly made waffles and hot foods like grits, bacon and sausage. Definitely a 10/10

My wife and kids stayed here with no real problems. People were swimming and beeing noisy past hours, but you have those people lots of places.

Really courteous, friendly, helpful staff. Very clean everywhere inside. Well kept property outside. Comfortable bed. I would stay again, and again.

Very clean. Rooms a bit dated, but hotel was spotless. Water pressure in shower fluctuated. Front desk and staff so friendly and helpful.

I enjoyed my to and the stay was pleasant

Everything was ok. Breakfast ran out of some food and coffee and replaced nothing. The shower water pressure would drop to zero then comeback on burning hot water. Parking if the front was full you had to go back to the main road, go yo the next hotel and go behind it and use the row against your hotel.

The staff was very friendly; accommodations were quite nice.

Ability to sit by a fire after a day of shopping or sightseeing

Very clean and quite. Beautiful room and no noise from other rooms near us. Breakfast was great. Only one night there but was a comfortable night. Beds were nice and got a good night sleep. When we visit Charleston agian will definitely stay there agian. And the ladles at the front desk were very kind and polite.

We enjoyed our stay at Residence Inn. Very comfortable and the staff was great. The fact that they served a light dinner some evenings was a bonus. 10/10 for our experience!!

Everything about the Residence Inn was great. We felt safe, it was quiet, we didn’t hear anybody running up and down the hallways, didn’t hear any banging on the walls. The complimentary breakfast and dinner was a bonus, having the full kitchen is an extra bonus. I really enjoyed my stay, Residence Inn is the hotel I’ll be staying at from now on.

Property had a very nice setup

Very nice hotel. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Only wish coffee was available earlier in the morning!

It was a good stay. Only thing I had a problem with is that the body wash dispenser in the bath/shower was empty and we were told to come down to lobby desk at which time we were given a very small bar of soap.

Our stay here was a very pleasant stay. Everything was just great the staff was very pleasant, the accommodations was just wonderful, and very clean, we had all of the comfort of home.

First time visiting Charleston sc, the hotel location is perfect. Everything is right there, only 15 miles from downtown. Rooms was nice and clean I will be back to stay at this location.
