Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and convenient location. I'll start with how nice and accommodating the owners/staff were. I made a number of special request: early check-in, plastic plates and utensils to eat in the room, good access for my 102-year-pld mother to use her walker. All were granted with a smile and a helpful attitude.ajor bonus points for that? The rooms were clean and neat, newly refurbished with nice floor coverings. TV and wifi were good. From the outside this is a 1970s era 2-story motel with each room opening to outside. But the rooms are significantly better than that first impression. Breakfast almost exclusively white carbs, so a little disappointing. All in all, especially with the nice staff, a good trade-off of economy and reasonable quality.

Location I asked for non smoking room I got a room between smokers. The smell came through the vents . Also a lot of marijuana smoking also .
- 5/5
It's location next to the airport. But that can't be helped.

very poor breakfast. No meat.

It was extremely clean which I loved !!! And smelled good too !! That they didn’t clean the rooms everyday unless you ask

This is a five star hotel if you want to experience late capitalism in the southern US. This hotel is conveniently located within a few hundred feet of I26, providing guests with the sounds and smells of constant interstate traffic. As i approached i was delayed somewhat as a school bus was offloading a group of elementary school aged children who live in the hotel, as well as the Extended Stay America hotel across the street. It was sweet to see as they were greated by thier parents/guardians to help them to return to thier rooms at the hotel. Check in was fine. The agent was pleased to see a short term visitor to the hotel. He encouraged me to select a room on the ground level as it seems the second level rooms are reserved for the families of the school children and the iternant workers who live semi-permanently at the hotel. The service was what one might expect. One front desk staff happily gave me a roll of quarters to use in the guest laundry machines that do not work. As an aside, the laundry facilities are located in a alcove on the second floor, the alcove is open to the public and smelled like urine. On another occassion i needed service from the front desk. There is a pool that i did not use and a 24 inch Weber grill on the grass clise to the pool. Not sure if the grill is a hotel amenity or used by the group of young men who hang out on the hotel balcony. Id recommend this as a 5 star cultural experience or skip the hotel and watch Florida Proje

Easy access to airport, walking distance to Mellow Mushroom pizza restaurant. Room had either been smoked in or was next to a smoking area.

They were horrible staff members like they did not want to help. Also, they put me on the do not rent list for no reason I was there one night I came from Kentucky. There was no reason for me to be on the do not rent list. I was put on a do not rent list when I was vacationing from Kentucky. Not sure why I did nothing wrong and was barely even at the room.

Do not stay here. It was so bad we checked out two days early. We couldn’t get any kind of refund.
- 1/5
2nd quality inn this week. Worst 1 ever stayed at. Not safe. Ice bucket broken. Water all over. Horrible location. At checkout there was no ice. Machines were broken or empty. Never happened at any hotels we’ve stayed at. Bought ice for the trip home.
- 2.5/5
Everything was new…did a great job renovating…place very neat The smell in room was offensive…not pet or musty
- 4/5
Very pleased
- 3.5/5
You had to have a key to enter No breakfast
- 3/5
The room had a smoke odor even though it was a non smoking room, assuming it was coming in through the vents from all of the people smoking outside. It was also quite noisy at times with other guests playing music very loud. I was too afraid to say anything at the time. Otherwise, bed was comfortable, linens seemed clean, and the fridge and microwave were a nice touch. The in room coffee pods privided were actually pretty good also.
- 4/5
The heat and ac were fine. the parking lot was full of trucks and hard to park at night . the environment was safe feeling . the room condition was ok, bath room needed some work but for the overall experience it was pretty good and the breakfast was good also
- 2.5/5
The room had a odor. Maybe the room hasn't been occupy in a while.
- 4/5
Nice area and good pool
- 0.5/5
I didn't like the neighborhood. Multiple people hanging around like it was the place to be.
- 1.5/5
Location was close to the event The property was dirty. The entire hotel smelled like marijuana. The property looked like it was falling down and like I was going into a crime scene.
- 4/5
Older rooms in their third building. Almost had to stay in one due to a late flight.
- 3/5
Nice stay.
- 4/5
Good for 1 night
- 5/5
Staff was extremely polite, clean room and affordable.
- 0.5/5
The staff was friendly. As soon as we opened the door of our room, a strong smell was present. It was a mix of weed, cigarettes, and Febreze. We let the door open to aerate a little, but nothing helped. We had a migraine after a few hours in there. It was awful. We asked the front desk if we could change rooms, but they did not have any other room available. It was 1 a.m., and we had no other choice but to stay and try to get some sleep. When we woke up, we felt so sick. I threw up the whole day and almost passed out multiple times. We had booked two nights, but honestly, it would have been impossible to stay even an hour more there. We asked to cancel our second night and decided to get another hotel. The staff ensured we would get refunded for the second night. We are still awaiting the refund. It has to be noted that the room we had booked was a smoke-free room. Obviously, some rules were broken here, and it is very sad that the staff did not do anything more than maybe spray Febreze in there. It was honestly impossible not to smell that smell.
- 5/5
Friendly and accommodating staff! Great access to the outlets and restaurants. Literally right behind Top Golf! Short drive to IOP beach. Didn't know the swimming pool was seasonal, but we were able to use the grill so overall our stay was excellent!
- 1/5
this staff is very discriminating and rude seems like they do not like there job . rooms stink and outdated not for the amount they want DO NOT STAY IF U L .G .B. T they will find a reason too put you out and waste your money and time . corporate complaints have been filed i recommend going anywhere else if you are not in there same pool or anything like them .

Breakfast was ok. Staff was friendly. Room seems to have had water damage, floor tiles warped however VERY CLEAN!!!!
- 1/5
It was gross, left and got a different place
- 3/5
The internet, and the smell of the rooms
- 3/5
Room was ok, had issues with some ants, and the microwave in the room did not work and had to be replaced. Also had to wait 45 mins because they said that they did not receive payment from Hotels.com but I feel that I should not have had to deal with this. They do some kind of virtual payment aspects but charged me on my card. This issues should be addressed on their end with the hotel. Area was ok, and worth it for a short stay.
- 1/5
Kicked me and my kids out in the cold do not recommend

- 5/5
It was a great room and very comfortable
- 5/5
Great location Everything went well
- 5/5
Staff was super helpful and friendly
- 4/5
Pool is good. Lots of loud truckers partying late into the night.
- 4/5
The hotel was fine. It's definitely a budget hotel. We initially were assigned a room that smelled of smoke and was in very poor condition. We changed rooms which was much nicer.
- 4/5
It was fine. No concerns, very average experience.
- 5/5
Highly recommend, about to book again there now.
- 2/5
- our room door wouldn't shut properly - all dryers are broken in the hotel - only one ice machine wofmd, others are broken or dirty - staff allows people to do whatever with no consequence - people smoking near other people rooms - limited breakfast and not good
- 5/5
Breakfast was basic but again much better than other like properties, waffles, toast, scones, eggs, cereal, tea, coffee and juice etc. Glad we had a last minute change of heart on an adjacent property we had been booked in and changed to this one. Only negative (which applies to most North America hotels) is it is time do away with the single use plastics, the days of wrapping plastic in plastic needs to end.
- 5/5
For business trip stay is okay, because it offers the basic need. Simple breakfast, good internet service, and comfortable bed. Wouldn’t recommend for the family stay.
- 4/5
Although the room was rather outdated it was clean, comfortable and provided everything I needed.
- 4/5
We stayed for an event at the North Charleston coliseum. It was a nice, cheaper option to rest our heads. Nothing special about it, but we were happy
- 2/5
first night the hotel honeys were knocking on door's at 12:30
- 4/5
When checking in, the king NON smoking room that I had booked and confirmed was not available. I had the option between a king smoking or double non smoking. Someone messed up somewhere. I asked if there would be any cost reduction and was told no. I believe I should have been compensated for the error
- 3/5
Good location
- 4/5
Only complaint was that the bathroom door was warped, worn, and obviously splintered by people trying to shut it when it no longer fits the frame! You need to have your carpenter look at that.
- 2/5
One room smelled strongly of marijuana (I guess it was coming from the ajoining room). Our other room had a damaged door latch. It took a couple of calls and a couple of hours to get the latch fixed. I had to stay behind while my family went out waiting on maintenance. Speaking with am regular guest, this has been on ongoing problem for this room. The pool was closed for weather, however there was not bad weather in hours before we checked in or for the rest of the evening before we headed out. Our last day there where it states the pool opens at a certain time, they told my teans that the pool was still closed. They do not have do not disturb hangers for the doors and while we were out, housekeeping came in and cleaned, they did do a good job, however my daughters make up bag went missing (guesing it was thrown out because she had it in a gracery bag). While the rooms were clean but the outside was not cleaned up. Unfortunately guests are not responsible nor respectfull. There we cigarette butts, broken glass, and cans litering the parking lot and the walk way outside the upper floor.
- 5/5
The bed was hard!!!!
- 4/5
It is just OK. Price was reasonable.
- 5/5
Staff was very attentive, bed was comfortable, room was clean.
- 1/5
I was never able to check in as they do not allow locals. I have contacted support and nothing
- 3/5
Clean but they acted put out when we asked for towels and we requested late checkout and they kept beating on the door
- 5/5
People very helpful
- 5/5
Great experience
- 5/5
well done you folks are super great!
- 3/5
The staff was very helpful but the property needs updates.
- 3/5
Did not like the fact that there was noise all night someone playing loud music and people standing out on balconies smoking weed.
- 1/5
I actually was not allowed to stay at this hotel! When I went to check in and gave my ID they said they don’t let locals stay at the property! Mind you I had just stayed there 2 weeks prior, and did not have this issue!! Absolutely terrible customer service!
- 5/5
Decent room & a free breakfast (limitted). Overall okay, if not a little run down.
- 1/5
A 2 night stay at this property started with one room that smelled like real strong urine in the bath room. cigarette burns in the bed cover. Room smelled like a real bad FART ! Changed to room 203 for the second night, Noticed my white socks were no longer white after walking around the room. Took one of the bath towels, and wet it, an scooted across the floor. It came out almost black the floor was so dirty. Also bathroom door hinge was broken, and shower head was clogged beyond useable. Also cigarette burn in room 203 comforter also. At $140 a night this was a bad bad hotel.
- 1/5
Very dirty rooms. Holes in sheets. Bugs inside the tiles coming off the floor.
- 1/5
Room not clean. Mold in the bathroom. The bathroom door didn’t close. Room Smelled bad
- 5/5
Needs to be updated
- 3/5
It was cheap, fairly clean. Good location to the event center. Now the bad- understaffed, took half an hour to check in, toilet was broken, some linnens were clean, some were not, comforter and carpet had lots of cigarette burns, continental breakfast items were out every day, waffle.maker not available. As i said, cheap and convenient for this trip, but probably would not stay there again
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was kind and welcoming.
- 5/5
Great stay, no complaints
- 1/5
Horrible experience. Overall a disgusting facility. Manager was rude. Sheets and shower both had hair. I question if the sheets were even washed. Find a different hotel. This place sucks.
- 5/5
We arrived very late. Check in was still very accommodating. Only one night but the room and people were nice.
- 3/5
We had a great deal of difficulty getting into our room! It was obvious from looking at the door frame that someone had tried to open the door with a crowbar (?). The frame of the door was dented and it was obvious that someone had tried to break into the room at some time in the past. When you struggle to get into your room it becomes a disaster for the patron!
- 4/5
Good value. Good location. Excellent recommendation for supper.
- 5/5
The front desk staff were wonderful, very kind and caring for an elderly couple having a bad day.
- 5/5
Nice and welcoming
- 5/5
Convenient location and very nice staff. Exactly what we needed for myself, daughter and two dogs
- 4/5
the room have been freshened up but are rather beige/brown/boring. The vinal plank flooring is practical but dirty. The bottoms of my feet were black after walking on them for a couple of hours.
- 5/5
The hotel is well located to major roads, shopping, and dining options.
- 3/5
Standard motel. Near the airport so you will hear planes landing. Staff was nice. Room was clean.
- 4/5
The rooms are definitely old and small not what I expected. There was a moldy smell and mold in the bathroom. The hotel lobby and breakfast area were new and remodeled. The breakfast was wonderful.
- 3/5
No
- 5/5
Attentive staff. Attractive lobby. Good breakfast bar.
- 5/5
Receptionist was very nice and room was very clean.
- 4/5
The motel is old but in good, clean condition. The mattresses were very comfy! Possibly the best I’ve ever slept on in a hotel. Breakfast was decent. The area is a little sketchy. Lots of people out super late at night doing questionable things but we felt safe inside. The only issues we had were the pool being closed for the season (it was not mentioned on the website and it seems early for this early of the country) and our door deadbolt didn’t work. That was slightly worrisome considering the outside situation but it worked out fine.
- 5/5
We lost power due to hurricane Helene so decided to spend the weekend exploring Charleston. This was a great location with friendly staff. We will stay again when we come back down
- 1/5
1 am. Was definitely one of worst hotels I’ve ever been too
- 2/5
I liked the way the property looked on the outside and in the lobby. However, when I entered my room, it was not clean. My biggest issue was pubic hair in the bathroom. It was all over the floor and the toilet. I mentioned it to housekeeping, but nothing was done, and I was in a rush, so I did not mention it on the way out.
- 1/5
First one was right next to room that was being torn apart and threshold on bottom of door was hanging off plus bathroom had mold in shower. Second room was on first floor next to staff room that people were living in and smoking and door was stuck so even though key worked couldn’t open door. Three try for room man at front desk had no teeth and reeked of cigarette smoke..not sure he worked there or not?? But finally got room that was suitable for one night. Apparently Quality Inns are now privately owned by foreigners so I will not be booking with that chain and more.
- 4/5
It was a peaceful stay. The room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff is super friendly and it is very convenient proximity to food and the outlets! The pool was great as well; very clean and quiet overall!
- 4/5
Front desk was friendly and efficient, room was clean, there were a bunch of loud people hanging around outside late into the night but I get the impression that management is working on that.
- 5/5
Close to work
- 4/5
Very nice hotel very comfortable lots of amenities the only problem is the beds were supposed to be queen size there's no way they were that big but overall a great stay
- 5/5
I have been pleased with this property. It is at least 40 years old but in generally good repair. The rooms are clean and comfortable
- 3/5
The room was clean and staff was very helpful. The room was so humid that the floor didn’t dry completely over a two day period of time and the bedding actually felt damp due to room ventilation. The breakfast was bare minimum. But for the price compared to others that were $50 more night next-door, it was reasonable.
- 1/5
Front staff was horribly rude and disrespectful, not sure if this is the right job for her, but because of her I’d never recommend this location
- 5/5
Great job guys ,ypur hard work is being noted.. Thanks for a great stay and breakfast.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay.Next time I will definitely stay longer.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
This location is great if you’re new in town and don’t know your way around everything you need around you shopping great food places and only a 15-20 drive to beaches…. This property is pet friendly and has smoking rooms available…refrigerator and microwave in your room as well
- 4/5
Nice place
- 2/5
The fan from bathroom didnt work, the tub was dirty and coffee from breakfast time was nasty,
- 1/5
The rooms were not how they looked online , just terrible , air barely worked paint falling off the walls in the bathroom into the shower , cigarette burns in the blankets and some of the staff were very very rude when I asked for a refund , there was people outside looked like they were high on drugs
- 4/5
The area felt unsafe but the hotel room was clean and nice.
- 5/5
While a bit over priced, the room was clean and comfortable. The location is good and the staff is very nice.
- 5/5
Very nice, clean and quite
- 1/5
The overall cleanliness of the property was poor. Towels were dirty and almost felt damp. The extra lock on the door was loose like it was broken into at some point. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
- 4/5
Why no exhaust fan in the bathroom?
- 4/5
Its okay here
- 3/5
Towels
- 5/5
All in all, this is a very clean and comfortable place to stay.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
It was convenient Bed was a bit to high but comfortable When we entered the room there were puddles ok water. Tried to tell the front desk but no answer. We just used a extra towel and wiped it ourselves a
- 5/5
This is a great place to stay. Quiet and comfortable. Staff is amazing.
- 4/5
Friendly staff
- 3/5
There was hair in the shower
- 4/5
The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms look relatively new. The hotel is in a good location and convenient to the airport.
- 5/5
Didnt like indoor pool, would be better outdoor
- 5/5
The lady that checked me in was very helpful and kind
- 5/5
Me and my fiancé book this room because we didn’t want to drive home from the wine festival in Charleston. The lady at the front desk was amazing. It was easy check in .
- 5/5
Some of the guest could be a bit noisy and the internet and cable went out on at least two occasions for a total of about 3 hours in an overnight (less than 20 hours)
- 1/5
When first pulling up to check in had a guy fighting a woman and he hit me when I told him to get off of the lady
- 2/5
The hotel needs remodeling asap, the room that I stayed at was falling apart
- 3/5
Room was very clean....everything great until ac unit quit with a VERY loud noise at midnight...woke us up, then a lot of noise in parking lot throughout nite..worst part was a surprise of staff needing a $150 cash or hold a credit card for a security deposit for damage to room because they did not have my card on file due to booking ahead of time with expedia...i gave cash and had to wait almost 1 hour next morning for it to be returned...not good
- 5/5
I liked that all the rooms came with a fridge and microwave.
- 4/5
Comfortablebeds and very frienly and helpfulstaff..
- 3/5
The only good thing about breakfast was that it was free. Rooms were just a place to lay your head, as long as you brought your own pillow, which we always do. It's not this hotel, alot of chains think it's ok to spend $100-$140 a night and get "just a room" no frills. Shame.
- 4/5
Great proximity to airport and nearby Tesla supercharger, but while we expected to hear the traffic on the highway, it was louder than anticipated. No elevator to second floor. Receptionist was very friendly. Room was clean. Beds not so comfortable. Heater worked well to combat slight draft from door.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and got me checked in fast.
- 5/5
I couldn't stay again because i had a local address
- 3/5
Just ok. Good bed
- 3/5
it served its purpose for me..
- 4/5
Overall stay was good. It’s very strange a hotel runs out of plates for breakfast so people were using napkins. Juice machine did not work overall breakfast sucks. Smoking side is very sketchy and some one sells drugs over there for sure. The little Indian guy was really weird. He would stand outside of people rooms and even the police pulled up on him one morning. I believe someone on the smoking side sells drugs but those people that were coming did not bother anyone or their vehicles. The location is in the middle of Tangler outlet so if you’re looking to go shopping it is a very good location not to mention there are lots of restaurants and fast food places nearby easy access on and off of the highway as well
- 1/5
Not great, key didn’t work. I had to leave my luggage and get the key fixed. The door to the room didn’t even seal well. You could see out to the road. It wasn’t in the best area so I was up all night.
- 4/5
I like that everything was clean, and the housekeeper kept the room clean and neat. The only thing I did not like is that the TV control or the TV was not propery working. I was not able to change the channels so either the control or the TV was not functioning well. I could not stay in the room to watch football. I called to the operator but whoever answered the phone, just hung up on me.
- 3/5
Door could only be open by playing around per staff the entry key took over 15min just to open door Pool was directly facing a street under construction and dust everywhere not to mention the construction staff just sitting there watching
