The service and staff were amazing and the room was very clean with some nice extras. The main drawback was the layout of the room was unusual with the toilet paper falling off the holder, the toilet banging against the wall and the hand towels hanging really low. The food quality in the restaurant can be improved, although the buffet breakfast was outstanding. I loved the variety. It’s nice there is a pool and fitness room available.

very limited options for breakfast - dinner was ok. Your hotel was chosen for us by American Cruise line - the location in relation to Charleston means that it is a $35.00 Uber each way - the hotel location is of course not your fault, but American should have used an hotel much closer in town. The room was pleasant and clean. The waiting staff were not very attentive to the fact that there were 4 of us waiting to order - drinks took a long time to arrive and then so did the food to follow. Waiting staff need to have ' revolving heads ' to spot a customer trying to catch their eye when they walk about in the restaurant, and should never walk around with empty hands when there are tables to clear

You charged me $20 a night for parking which I did not utilize a parking lot in any way, nor was it part of my original quote for the room. It was a bad surprise and I’ve asked for a refund multiple times. Being charged for parking x2 nights when I did not have a car

It was very clean and spacious. The hotel was very nice and it has a lot of amenities. I was charged three times for my hotel stay and when I brought it to their attention they seemingly fixed it but days later I was charged again. I literally had to jump through hoops to get my money back without a swift response. So my funds were returned. Then I was charged again and had to wait 2 1/2 weeks to get my money back after I filed a complaint with my bank. The situation has been resolved but it left a bad taste in my mouth about the whole process.

I lived the room and the staff. However the room nect to mine had two vey loud people. Beati g and banging and laughing until after 2 am both night. I was there for a class ans was exhausted becuase of them waking me up all night.

Booked a corner room- there are no corner rooms at the Marriott we stayed at- went to room AC broke. Front desk moved us to a higher room and comped us the 24 hr. lounge. Appreciated her attempt to make things right.

The bar and food service was great. The gym has a good selection of equipment, was very clean, and even smelled good. Pool area is nice as well.

The pool was dirty. Dirt bottom of pool. Asked for maintenance to fix a stuff toilet and clogged sink. The maintenance man dropped off a plunger, i asked him to unclog it, he continued to leave. I was able to unclog the toilet , but had to have them come up and unclog the sink.

Room was comfortable and clean; facility was clean and well decorated; the restaurant had tasty food and the service was great. The gym has plenty of equipment and was well kept. The pool and garden was a nice touch as well. If i could change one thing, it would be to clean the stains off the lobby chairs, or replace them with something more durable. Love this place.

Otherwise, amazing stay and ill definitely be staying there again when i visit.

Off the beaten path, but still close enough that with a 5-7 minute drive, the Tanger outlets is nearby. The hotel has plenty of property and the staff is very friendly. Our room and other places in the hotel were extremely clean. I would recommend staying here!

Friendly staff and prompt service for check in and room service. Super clean in the hallways, lobby, room, pool area. I can’t think of one thing that wasn’t top notch!

Next downfall was that only one elevator out of three was operational during my stay. Upon checking out, all the elevators where out of order & guest including myself had to take the stairwell in order to get to the lobby or parking lot. The hotel staff did apologize for the inconvenience, however the sense of urgency to fix the issue was very lacking. I get some things are out of there control but it definitely should have been a maintenance technician on premise immediately to fix the issue because the hotel was definitely crowded. Overall I may stay at this hotel again just during a different season or request to be on a different floor if staying in the summer. I personally like to be on the highest floor as I dislike hearing footsteps. During my stay. I was on the fifth floor and lawd have mercy walking down five flights of stairs with luggage was absolutely not fun but definitely a good morning workout without visiting the fitness center. I will say that the kitchen staff was very friendly and the food I ordered from the restaurant was some what enjoyable. However, I did choose my meal & next time if I stay I'll definitely order something different.

I really loved the property besides maybe the rooms being a little small everything else was top notch. My only complaint is with Expedia during the check in process to a different hotel that was a 4 star hotel with better amenities. Somehow the hotel didn’t receive my stay and was turned away and had to settle with a 3 star hotel cause my family was tired. But hotel wise I say 4 stars. Expedia 2 stars

If you come with a service dog, they wouldn’t let you stay as how they said they have a rule to “only accept service dogs for physical disability”. After we left to find a different hotel and then called them to get a refund their manager said they don’t have anything like that. And now it’s been a month and still no refund and no communication from their side.

They did have a room ready earlier which I was grateful for but there was a very strong cleaning product/air freshener odor. I had booked a non smoking room but there was a large cigarette burn on a side table.

Very clean and classy in lobby. Had to pay for parking!!?? Huge parking lot and not full. Never experienced that at a hotel before. Bathroom sink would drain very slowly and there was no dresser to put small articles of clothes into.

Patio furniture outside had holes and tears in the cushions, there were tables with water damage, M Club had same issues with the furniture. Food was good and reasonably priced. Cleaning staff did well our first few days but last couple of days there were misses with room cleaning and re-supplying.

The property was amazing despite some unfriendly customers. The rooms where nice and spacious with alot of food and shopping options. The hotel provided transportation to and from the place where our event was held. It was all around amazing time at North Charleston Marriott.

Booking.com ruined our weekend with how they handled my reservation. Marriott was good, Booking.com was no help at all. I lost $ and Booking.com did nothing to help the situation. I will NEVER use Booking.com again!

Just because I checked out a few seconds before I went for breakfast, the staffs on the breakfast place made me to pay more than $60. They said because I checked out first. I explained to them I was rushing because I wanted to go to gymnastics competition

The staff is super nice and helpful. Quick ride to downtown as well as some other sightseeing locations. I liked they had an airport shuttle and an onsite restaurant those were two big reasons I chose this location.

I would like to specifically recognize Nicholas, the office manager and Kelly, our favorite bartender/dining area host. They both are great at customer service and a huge reason we will definitely be booking my next stay in the Charleston area at this hotel.

Air conditioning unit in the room sounded like a freight train. It was impossible to get a restful nights sleep. They also did not honor my room preference, which was booked for a king, instead a received double.

Bad- the overall cleanliness of the hotel needs improvement and the smell of our room and hallways was awful… musty and sour smell. Overall it was fine for a night but if we stayed longer I couldn’t take the smell.

From Mia checking us in, to crystal and Sheila in the M lounge, everyone was great. You never pass an employee without them greeting you. The desk staff always offering assistance if needed as you go through the lobby. Definitely recommend!!

Hotel is beautiful with great amenities and beautiful furnishings. However the chairs in the dining and bar area need to be reupholstered. The arms are all worn and the favric is dirty or damaged.

It was a nice room but they didn't clean the room and had to get fresh towels myself and had to pay $100 for incidentals which I am suppose to get back when I checked out but haven't seen that yet. Also breakfast was not included with the rate.

Great stay. Awesome room. Shower was the nicest I’ve ever experienced. Amazing water pressure. Nice bar for pre drinks. Only negative was TBS wasn’t available in entire hotel so we couldn’t watch the NHL playoff game we wanted to.

The pool was really dirty and cold. The room was very small compared to other Marriott’s we stayed in, Especially for the price that we paid. The great thing about the hotel was the restaurant and the desk staff. The bathroom vent was really dirty. The room looked as if it was updated, but with cheap upgrades.

Love the location and the cleanliness. Being a native to the Charleston area, it’s a great location for me to see family and friends. The only issue I had with this property is the front desk employee. Apparently my wife was calling to see if they had a room available before 3pm. I’m driving and trying to find the confirmation number while the attendant was on the phone with my wife. I guess me trying to drive and trying to find the confirmation number ,made her have an attitude about the situation. When we arrived, she was assisting a couple with their check in, she so cordial and polite with them. When it was my turn to check in and I gave her my identification, her attention and attitude went far left.Barely looked at me, conversation was kept short and to a minimum. Now I worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years, and that was no where near correct how she handled myself and my wife. I love staying here and I will not let her deter me from staying there again.

The hotel is located right off the interstate, convenient for food and shopping. Interior decor is exceptional, food and drinks were on point. Staff were excellent

My stay at this Marriott was one of the best ever! The entire facility is just beautiful, and appears to be newly renovated. The rooms are expansive and filled with everything I needed when staying for business, and I can see how great a double queen room would be for families, because of how spacious it is, and even has a rolling luggage cart with room for storing clothes underneath it. I love actually having a tub shower combo too, since I’m a bath person. The view of the ocean was beautiful. The staff was extremely helpful to every need. and I needed a couple of things. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The staff here are considerate and attentive and goe out of their way to make sure you're having a good stay. While it's not a new hotel and it shows a little wear and tear here and there, it has modern amenities and it's clean and you can tell it's well maintained. The airport is very close, less than a 5 minute drive which makes this hotel ideal for business travelers and conferences and most of the guests are regulars. Due to the proximity to the Airport there are also a fair number of pilots and airline staff along with military personnel as the airport is both civilian and military so you're in good company and there's guaranteed to be some interesting conversation in the lounge. If you're doing business in Charleston and you don't need to be "downtown", which is a quick 20 minute drive by the way, this is a great place to stay. Easy in and out, free parking, good food, clean, safe and easy access to the airport.

Great location in North Charleston. Easy access to the highway. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel restaurant/bar had a great selection and reasonable prices.

The amenities, staff, and facility were excellent. The in-house bar and restaurant options are absolutely wonderful. Everyone very friiendly and accommodating. I especially enjoyed reading in the courtyard with the fountain and firepits. I was quite impressed.

The room was nice and clean. The issue i had was the refrigerator wasn't working. Needless to say the over all experience was wonderful.

I was surprised that a pricey hotel like this one didn’t have a microwave in the room. It was so inconvenient to go downtowns and wait in line to use the small one in the lobby. I will not be returning. This is ridiculous!

Great place to stay

I booked online due to the proximity of the hotel to a 2-day festival I was attending. Quite expensive. I had high expectations. Decor is modern and minimalist. Lots of poor function issues with the room. No drawers, sink doesn't drain. Form over function. Elevator on floor 6 malfunctioning for 2 days. Included breakfast was inedible. Also food safety issues. Coffee maker in room is pure garbage. No microwave.

We had a great stay and would come back! The staff was friendly and attentive. Having a noon check-out was top notch! Only thing I didn't love was the shower floor looked like it could use a deep, deep clean. We also wish the bathroom exhaust fan was bigger and switch activated because steam would accumulate quickly. The overall property looks dated on the outside, even though it has been painted. We heard that previously it was a part of another hotel chain so maybe that's why the look on the outside didn't feel like Marriott. However, the inside was updated and beautiful. Well-kept spaces.

Nicholas was great at check in! Not sure why I got a text four hours later telling me to come to the front desk since my room was ready??

The first room was dirty, there was hair on my pillow. They switched us to the 8th floor. The room was decent, the bathroom wasn't clean in its entirety. There was someone else’s clothes under the sink and someone else’s eye lashes on the trash can. We asked housekeeping to clean the room after 3pm since we were leaving at that time and they never came back. Once we got back to the room we noticed that the room was still dirty, trash can full and no towels and wash cloths.

The property was recently renovated and was well appointed. Our interaction with the Front Desk Clerk was beyond professional!

No microwave in rooms, I was on the 8 floor and by the time I went downstairs to heat my food up then back up my food still wasn’t HOT. Paid over $300.00 and the room was small. Also, I was told several different check in procedures which lead to me driving all the way to Charleston and almost not being able to check in my room because I was misinformed about my check in.

We were here for a very quick overnight but I really want to give a shout-out to the staff. Everyone we encountered, from the gentleman who checked us in to our server in the restaurant, was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the restaurant in the lobby was great, but the staff really brought this from a 4-star experience to a 5-star one.

Whenever I visit Charleston, I always stay at this hotel. It never disappoints in the the areas of cleanliness and comfort. The staff is professional and the breakfast is always fresh and delicious.

Property was updated and very appealing!

The hotel was pretty good; had some WiFi access point issues but nothing really to complain about. The restaurant on the other hand. Terrible horrible disgusting food. The drinks were meh but the food I wouldn’t eat if it was my last meal for survival.

Polite young lady at check in and the staff at the club lounge were so friendly and helpful.

I stay at this Marriott every time I come to Charleston. It's always a great stay and the amenities are super.
