The lights didn’t stay on in the bathroom and the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open.

Stayed for 9 days and was satisfied with all amenities. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Other than that the hotel was ok.

Hallway freaked of spoiled trash. Car filthy in the rooms. Bedding soiled. Terrible breakfast. Rude customer service. Maid failure to clean room when asked. Unclean shower.

This hotel is great! Very clean and the complimentary breakfast is definitely better than most hotels have. I would stay here again.

We travel to Summerville/charleston every other month to see my daughter. Have been for the last 3 years, this was the first time staying here. Would stay here again. Everything was great, it’s a great location, located near a lot of food options, and activities. If you need to check out late, you must go down that am and advise. Doing it the night before or two nights before won’t cut it. They’ll send someone knocking.

Nice hotel. Clean, comfortable bed, good lighting. We were in room 237 and the bathroom door did not close due to the floor tile work. Otherwise this was a great stay for us.

Beds comfortable. Room needed a good cleaning. No paper towel and only 1 roll of toilet paper. Had to ask to be replenished. Soap dispenser was empty

Yes they were very welcoming of our two Maltese dogs. They even have snack for dogs. We did get a call that they were barking while we were gone. But they were very nice. We normally have a gate for the bathroom but forgot to bring it

What a great place to stay the rooms are large clean comfortable. Everyone is very nice and efficient. I requested a pillow. It was there in 10 minutes. The breakfast was delicious and a lot to choose from and the property is spacious and lovely.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the back side next to the highway and it very noisy. I asked for another room and they were very understanding and change my room. I would recommend this hotel but ask not to be put in a room next to the highway.

We were on the second floor and it reeked of marijuana. The pet fee was higher ($75)than anywhere else. We’ve stayed even much nicer facilities. Our first day out and no one came in and cleaned our room I had to ask to get it clean We needed wash rags and of course we did not get them when we needed them.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff were pleasant. Check in was a breeze with the help of Betty who was working the front desk. She was a delight.

We stay here everytime we visit our son at CSU. Most of the time it’s a 5 star stay. This time the bed was super uncomfortable… maybe we were in a different type room since we brought our dog?? The breakfast was pretty bad…food overcooked and the waffle mix was stale. We’ll stay again though bc it’s a great location.

The fact you charge me a pet deposit then want to charge me 200 dollars cause you say my dog peed on a towel will never stay at any of your hotels again.

Bed a little hard, noisy doors that slam unless you are courteous and hold it from slamming. ( Typical hotel problem due to oblivious customers).

Great breakfast. Great room layout. Comfortable bed. My only complaint is that the shower hadn't been cleaned and the shampoo & conditioner bottles were completely empty. Somebody didn't do their job attending to the bathroom.

Great hotel. Clean and big suite. Housekeeping was rude and not friendly. Had late check out and they still woke us up. That is the only issue and that fact that the ice machine was outside our room.

the outside sitting area was ok, the grills were broken and we like to grill out and just relax but the grills were in the worse condition. and we had no silverware in room, and we are smokers so there was no cig cans outside to put butts in so we carried our own cig butt ash tray with us from the car.

Great stay and beautiful room. I pick hotels according to breakfast. The waffle maker was set at the wrong temperature because my waffle was not done in the inside. Also there was spicy chicken patties for breakfast, no sausage or bacon

The hotel is fairly new and very clean. The rooms were great and we had lots of space in the room for our stay. The bathroom was clean. In addition the workout room was above average. Plenty of cardio options, and weight training options. Breakfast was just slightly better than your typical options.

Excellent stay for Family Weekend at CSU. The room was super spacious and clean. Beds were comfy, even the sofa bed. Breakfast was good and staff were nice and accommodating. This is definitely where we’ll stay when we visit our son.

This was a terrible experience with both the hotel and hotels.com. I will never stay at home2 or use hotels.com i lost money because of a hotel that smells like pot and both rooms were filthy. There was a big bag of trash in the hall right in front of the elevator hall exit. There were no towels in our room or shampoo. The room numbers went out of order so 428 was across from 451.

Only thing I don’t like is cafe their breakfast hour is so limit 6-9am. Not many options to get foods like meats, fruits, not friendly cereals for kids, or grits. That why we attend to IHOP for breakfast.

Bed bugs and needs to be renovated asap

When we checked in my girls went up to the room while I moved the car as the front entrance was not accessible because it had just been painted. Our first room had pubic hair on the toilet seat, and the sink had toothpaste all over it. They changed us to another room and it too was not thoroughly cleaned. There was toothpaste all over the faucet in the bathroom and the sink in the kitchen was filthy. We asked that someone come and clean both sinks. Later that day there was a german cockroach crawling up the wall. Every day we stayed there we had to kill roaches or other bugs in our room. The breakfast was subpar. I was highly disappointed with this experience.

What i didnt like was the dog urine smell in my room. Bought lysol and sprayed the carpet spot every dayby day 3 it was dimjnished and bearable.requested towels and i had to go to the front desk to get them. Other than that, i really liked the room. Spacious and accommodating. Full size fridge and great homestyle microwave. Real dishes and dish washer in the room. Beautiful vases and nick nacks decorated the lobbies. 5 yr old property. Great breakfast buffet. Made a suggestion to possibly have dogs on one floor to easily maintain odors. I would stay again. Thanks Home2Suites

The roo. We had smelled like ramon noodles, but there is a kitchen so people cook. There was also a used wash cloth left on the shower head but i dont think anyone cleaning would have noticed. Other than that the room was big and we had a decent stay. I just booked again.

This is my favorite hotel to stay at when visiting my daughter at Charleston Southern University.

Amazing stay

The only negative is going west on 78 a U-turn is required to access their street.

On arrival, we were suppose to be in 222 & 224 but, they had given away our rooms before we got there. Our rooms were not stocked with any pots, cooking utensils, forks. we only had 2 towel sets per room, the induction stove was not available to be able to cook. There was shampoo, no conditioner, and our shower was a bit dirty. Some of the staff were nice and some looked mad.

No bedding for pull out sofa, the blanket on the bed was dirty. The blinds were torn and the cover for the A/C was broken.

Great place to stay! Tidy rooms and positive upbeat staff.

property clean and basic . One night returning to my room i discovered my room door was left ajar and lights on As a single lady traveler this was unsettling to me. The desk night staff was apologetic and told me to do a belongings inventory and gave me the manager's card to report any missing items. Nothing was missing thank goodness but it made me feel unsafe. I realize it was likely a housekeeping error. It would jave been a courteous gesture to refund me for at least one night of my stay since nothing was missing and i didn't have time to hunt down a manager to express my disappointment i let it go. Other than that incident the property was clean and welcoming. I wouldn't stay here again due to the lack of options to walk or take public transit to.

I got a message from the hotel personells that they dont have and i have an option to leave. this thing happened when i checked in at 9:00 PM with family and kids. I had to go out at 10:30 in the night to get food for my kids. That was such a painful experience. I prefer not to choose their service any more.

Room was not very clean. Hair on counters. Lots of hair and dirt on sheets. We asked for new sheets and were given a new set right away. My husband and I had to remake the bed. Sheets were very old, super thin. Carpets and window shades were old and frayed in spots. Just old looking and needing an update. All staff were very nice and friendly.

The front desk staff were very nice and acted quickly on our concerns. It was just a little upsetting when all the dishes were dirty and the bed in the couch wasnt cleaned, we found dorito crumbs and a lovely centipede it. They didnt mention that there was a deposit due and maybe its just been a long time sicne I've been in a hotel room but it would of been nice to know in advance. They accept dogs but theres no real spot to let them do their business so there was dog feces everywhere on the side of the building.

I dont like that the rooms smell like urine and the shower doors do not stay closed when trying to wash.

A full kitchen (range/oven) would be nice. Needed to track down towels & washclothes from maids. Otherwise great place!

We just stayed overnight but the room was great!

Room was exactly how listed on internet. Very spacious, but the only issue we had was ants on the floor in the kitchen and on the carpet. The blankets are really thin too, so be prepared to be cold while sleeping if you like to sleep with the AC on. Other than that it was ok, kids really liked the complimentary breakfast. Price wasn’t bad either for three nights.

My bed was hard the breakfast is horrible they offered no meat mainly turkey or chicken but otherwise that it was a nice space someone put trash in the hallway they never cleaned it up fourth floor

Rooms are huge with all u need like a full kitchen, living area and separete room with semi suit bathrrom. The size and conveniemce greatly outweights the bit outdated rooms. Breakfast was not that good. Pre cooked sandwiches did not taste good. Coffee and variety was good though. Staff was great at night !

They cancelled my stay when I was mid-flight. My sister reserved with the intention I would pay when I get there. Her card declined so they cancelled my room and bookes it with someone else. My sister scrambled around to make other reservations for another hotel. NOT what you want to think about when you are already on your way.

The people were fantastic however we arrived the sheets on the bed were filthy with something in the middle of the bed and black hair all over the sheets. We tried 4 different times to get king sheets but none could be located as we were given queen everytime, to no fault of the desk attendants. Carpet in the room was also sticky. Bathroom was very clean.

The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant, but the property is close to a frontage road and beside that is the interstate. It was a little noisy.

The room had a very bad smell. Either the carpet or the garbage disposal. We left for dinner and asked the front desk attendant to have some spray deodorizer in the room. When we can back the room smelled the same. Also the AC in the halls did not apear to be working.

Need soft beds

Room was clean, spacious, and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the disappointment. Hard, dried-out bacon/egg biscuits that were inedible. Coffee in dispensers was lukewarm.

It was a good place to stay. The room we stayed in needs a deep clean. The carpet really could use a professional carpet cleaning. The air vent just as one gets to the refrigerator is showing mold. The shower needs a deep cleaning.

Great stay. Nice safe clean area. However not convenient to walk to restaurants or other businesses.

Our room was nice and big BUT smelled of mold and had mold on the wall under the peeled up wallpaper. There was obviously water damage in this room. P

This hotel was a nice place to stay. The only issue I had was there was a weird smell in the room and the room that I was in was close to the interstate so it was hard to sleep with all the noise of the traffic on my next visit now to ask for a room, not that close to the interstate. Maybe on the other side of the hotel, but other than that, I really enjoyed my stay.
