Bed was comfortable- pool and hot tub were inviting - breakfast was good The shuttle left 8 of varying senior adults stranded for over an hour at the coliseum after repeated calls and lies. I ended up getting an uber, but he could only take 6 of us. No idea how or when the other 2 got back. The desk clerk said it was extremely busy, but not so busy that every other hotel shuttle made their pickups. The police even stopped to ask us if we were ok.

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room and the property was clean and refreshing. The breakfast was on point. Overall a wonderful experience!

I can’t give a five star because they took coffee makers out of the rooms, and if you get to breakfast after 9am, you’re not going to have the full menu. Otherwise it’s what you would expect out of the Holiday Inn express but I like my coffee in my room.

The sink was broken at check in and we reported it. Every day they told us they would send someone up while we were out. Every night it was still broke till day 5

I've stayed at this hotel previously. The staff are excellent. They're really kind and helpful. You are greeted with a smile every time you leave and come back. I had no problem with my room. Breakfast was a good variety. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time we stayed at this location. The staff was great everyone was so helpful and friendly. We loved the different breakfast every morning, especially the cinnamon rolls. The hot tub was also a plus after a three hour drive.

Room was not clean. The woman at the front desk was a total idiot. She was smug and not knowledgeable about the computer. She did NOT. Give me the gift bag with water. Just passive aggressive. No people skills or hospitality training. I won’t be back unless there’s a valid reason.

Had a confirmation number and according to Booking.com a room. The Holiday Inn Express did not have me booked. I was able to find another accommodation and booking said I received a credit. If you want to remove coffee maker from room you should mention at check in that you can get one at the front desk. It would be honest. Who wouldn't love to lug all that to their room with their luggage etc? BTW the new autmated push-button coffee maker in the lobby doesn't taste any better than in room coffee. Guess we're done with HI Express.

Great hotel. Very clean, staff was great, nice hot tub and pool. Really good breakfast with a lot of options. The location is convenient as well with plenty of shopping and dining close by. Downtown Charleston and beaches are just a short drive.

The breakfast and coffee were good. I had booked the stay because of the indoor pool and upgraded to a king suite that was to have a kitchenette with a K cup coffee maker. The room was spacious but instead of a kitchenette it had a dorm sized fridge and a small microwave and no coffee maker. The photos on their web site depicted something else. The pool was also not operational even though the front desk staff said they would get the heater turned on.

Hotel was nice & clean and everyone was so helpful. Close to lots of restaurants and an easy 15 min to downtown.

Stayed here for a unplanned layover so not much to say about the property itself. However the brief encounter with the staff was pleasant. The place was neat and clean and close to the airport.

Very professional and polite staff. Only spent a day there. Condiments are over priced(bottle of water cost $5) and very limited selection.

Easy check-in and out. Staff were nice and friendly. Close to the beautiful Magnolia Plantation. Far from historic district. Staff had no idea short of uber or taxi about public transportation to historic district (there is an airport shuttle).

The front desk rep treated me poorly. The prominent business people were treated well and when she got to me who appeared not to be prominent I was treated like crap. I have money but this was my day off I was bumming. Very rude and dismissive.

Hot tub was not working. When i asked to cancel my reservation because of it they would not let me. Nothing irks my nerves more than when i travel to another state far from home to enjoy myself and the main source of enjoyment is not working.

This was a lower cost alternative to other properties blocked for a conference I attended. It is walkable to the convention center or there is a free shuttle there or to the airport. Just call and they come and pick you up. Comfortable, clean, decent free breakfast, and staff was helpful. Only complaint is the street noise, many sirens. Pack your earplugs and enjoy your stay.

The room was clean, breakfast had a wonderful selection of both hot and cold food. The pool and hot tub were great, although each could have been a bit warmer. The staff there were all very pleasant especially with big groups of baseball families staying there.

The hotel common areas and grounds were clean and attractive. The indoor hot tub is a nice amenity for cooler months. The negative is the mattress was hard and uncomfortable. I am accustomed to a memory foam top at home, so it may be fine for others.

The hotel and all was normal, normally I don't stay in hotels unless they have an indoor pool with a whirlpool, just my option. here when I got there it was cool. until it was time for me to get in the whirlpool, ohhh myyyyy........the gets in the whirlpool was weak as Fuxx, I got in the whirlpool just to jump right back out, looking and there was a colony of ants, I didn't say anything because I was leaving the following morning, would I ever stay again??? I'm not sure, I'd have to ask about the facility before hand, but other then that mess, everything was cool

The staff was very friendly, the hotel is old, the shower doors were falling apart. The king bed was not king, because the gap between the headboard and matress was 6 inches. The trash truck showed up at 5am, I didn't get much sleep! I specifically booked this hotel for the Hot tub/Jacuzzi and of course it was NOT working! But the room cost more than locale hotels, because it had this amenity. They said i could have canceled the room for free, but i was already committed for a flight the next day. Im very disappointed for an IHG hotel. I wont be using these hotels again, and stay in a lot of hotels.

One minor note is the entrance to the hotel comes upon you quick so you have to pay attention. I recommend this hotel and will be back!

I feel the price was unusually high for this property, which is not updated, compared to other Holiday Inn hotels I'vestayed. My mattress springs were sticking me when I laid down. My microwave was missing a wheel, so it didn't spin properly. The air also didn't work compared to what I'm used to.

We came to Charleston for an event at the coliseum. The hotel was only a few blocks away, and they provided a shuttle. It made it so much easier than parking there. The hotel itself was well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

Hotel was very clean and complementary breakfast was the best we’ve ever had! Location made it easy to get to Mt. Pleasant and the beaches as well as historic Charleston without paying the high rates to stay in either of those places. Everyone who worked here was incredibly friendly. We used the pool, hot tub and treadmill during our stay and everything was clean and in working order. I appreciated the easy access to the washer and dryer (which even got everything dry without having to run an additional cycle unlike any coin-operated dryer ever). We will definitely be back!

The room had a funny smell other than that stay was good and bed was comfortable!

Our kids really enjoyed the indoor pool lighting! Everything we were there for was close and convenient. Hotel was a little loud since there were some family gatherings happening that were using the hotel. Breakfast was not very good and there was not a lot of options......we were told they were running very low on food options due to a big turn out for a concert type thing.

Stayed here with my partner. We enjoyed our stay overall. The bed was comfy, and we liked the size of our room. The breakfast was alright - definitely had more options than most hotels. The self serve coffee and tea bar was a great touch! The staff was friendly, and our room was very clean with no glaring damage to anything. Our main issue was how loud guests were in the hallway. Children and adults were not making an effort to be quiet at 11:30pm. The only issue in our room was the water low pressure of the shower.

Very nice hotel. Good friendly staff, surprisingly good breakfast, clean premises, a great value! About 20 minute drive to Charleston historic district, but there's actually quite a bit of stores and nice outlet mall here ..a waffle house is only 2 minutes walk away!

This is an excellent hotel located very close to the airport. The staff was super friendly. Everything was very clean. The rooms were comfortable and had a fridge and microwave. The pool was really nice. The breakfast was excellent. The area is a bit noisy with traffic noise but that was not a problem for us.

We have stayed several times in past. There is shopping, restraunts and also right next to the conference center where we have seen several shows as well as a volleyball tournament. Clean and comfortable. Staff is beyond friendly.

Convenient location. Clean and updated. Spacious room and bathroom. On shower wall: full size bottles Dove shampoo, conditioner, & body wash. Wall by sink: big bottles of Dove hand soap and body lotion. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Eggs sausage pancakes yogurt fruit oatmeal milk juice. Coffee was good. Machine grinds beans and brews each cup. Friendly staff.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was polite and helpful. The only drawbacks are that the hotel is in the landing path of the airport and exiting the parking lot can be difficult because of the high volume of traffic. I just mention that for anyone considering this hotel, but outside of those concerns this location gets a 5 star all around from us.

Reception staff is amazing! Very friendly , welcoming and helpful. We had to request additional towels and we were easily accommodated. If I could change anything it would be the shower curtain — shower curtain placement can result in a mess in the bathroom requiring extra towels.

We stayed here the night before an early flight. The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. Shuttle to airport at 5:30 was great!

Great food, but needs more GF options. Only one non-dairy option for cereal. Great staff in check in and out as well as 5/26 breakfast!

Very clean

The bathroom wasn't clean at all and there was food on the floor in our room when we got in. The drain in the shower was very slow too. The front desk and breakfast people were extremely nice and as we were staying only overnight and the beds were clean, we didn't make a fuss and cleaned up ourselves, but it was pretty nasty.

We stay here often before or after trips at the airport. This hotel is the only one that I know of that offers a 24-hour shuttle near the Charleston airport. Very convenient and the people are very friendly.

Great stay close to airport for a morning flight out. Free breakfast buffet & shuttle was a bonus.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and we especially enjoyed the coffee and cinnamon rolls. The ladies at the breakfast bar were very friendly. The hot tub was much needed after a day of sightseeing.

I want to rank the hotel higher because the room was nice and clean but my car window was shattered from locals attempting to break into guests cars over night. The hotel didn't offer much help besides telling me to call the police and file a report. WARNING to future guests, DO NOT park on the sides of the hotel because there aren't any cameras and I can only assume the locals must know there arent any.

The room was amazing! Spacious, quiet, comfy beds, big tv, blackout curtians and comfortable adjustable temps! There was dove hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the room for convenience. The staff went above and beyond our expectations. They were so nice and friendly!! The breakfast was delish! The only bad thing was pool was a little chilly and the hot tub jets didnt work.

Disappointed that hot tub was broken. We chose that hotel because it was the only one with hot tub near airport

Bathroom needed an update. The style was fine but there was a piece of baseboard missing, the wallpaper in the bath was peeling in several places and the shower doors were grungy looking along the bottom.

Great location. I had a flight out and needed transportation to airport and it was timely and quick with wonderful, friendly service. There was construction going on in the early morning hours (3:30am) behind the hotel but that was not the fault of the hotel. The bathroom could use a little extra care from housekeeping but overall nice experience and I would stay again.
