Overwhelming smell of air freshener in the hallway. Original room that was given to us smelled like cigarette smoke, but was corrected by the staff.

When I arrive at the hotel first thing I saw was man outside drinking and hanging out, when I went in the strong smell of animals The front man Sam was nice and showed me the room and it was ok until I went in after check in the bed comfort was dirty, I don’t know how was on top of us but you could here every feet step they took the crying and scares of kids I did ask to check out the day and get refunded the rest of the days and they allowed me to

The only thing that I had a problem with was the AC it was down, but there was willing to move me to another room and take care of it so I really can’t say that it was a bad state. It was a very good day. I recommend that want to go to.

Very dirty, the hall carpets were matted and a bit moldy looking. Looked like the room was in the middle of a renovation, walls had been patched in multiple places but not re-painted, bathroom partly caulked, etc. The side hallway door did not close/lock properly, people kept leaving it open and rain was blowing in (as well as allowing entry without key-card). People (homeless?) were "partying" in parking lot, both alcohol and drug use - did not feel safe, saw staff walk by and apparently ignore.

Inside did not look how the pictures were on the website . Floors were distrusting ! Kids socks were black on bottom after 20 minutes . Roaches started to appear on day 3 out of nowhere. The staff was pretty nice no complaints about them. Wouldn't recommend for a long term stay but if you need somewhere to rest for a day for the low then that'll be the place to go.

Staff is very friendly and accomodating. The bed could have been more comfortable, more pillows were needed. Not a very clean room. They don't provide cleaning / maid service unless you ask for it. According to them, it's every 14 days!

There is a cooktop, microwave, and fridge and lots of cabinets and storage. There are no cups, dishes, utensils, or pots and pans. Be sure to bring your own.

AJ the Staff Member was So Caring and Professional and the Parking was easy to find and tge Room and kitchen was very clean

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The parking lot and property in general was clean. Only saw some daily use wear and tear that would be expected. The rooms had good sized kitchens with lots of storage. The room I was in had a updated and very nice bathroom. The area and other guests were calm and quiet, and it's in a nice spot close to shops and restaurants.

Came in late on Friday, no bugs, clean-ish room, but woke the next morning with a huge puddle of water across the kitchen area. I cleaned it, informed front desk ( who was very nice man, I believe worked overnight or 3 to 11 shift), and told him we would be gone all day so they could swap the fridge since there were no rooms available to move too. Returned that night around 730-8pm(Saturday) to 2 fridges in the middle of the floor of our room. Returned to desk to finally get the broken fridge out of the room, but no one ever returned to clean the water or move the other fridge( which my husband had to do.) so I paid for a fridge I didn't use the whole trip, a floor that water seeped out of when you stepped on it (even by the bed), and no heat due to the air conditioner not working correctly. If it weren't for the one nice man there who tried to make it work, I would have left.

This was not like other extended stay hotels. This place has been run down and they are too cheap to even put a coffee maker in the room although I did ask for one and they provided but no other amenities in the room. No utensils, no dishes, no coffee, no paper towels nothing at all in the kitchen. There was an odor everywhere and the elevator is out of service.

The bed itself was not comfortable. The pillows were flat and offered no support. The blankets were thin and there were no warm blankets. There was no bedside lighting. Nothing was said online through booking about an incidentals deposit. I was required to pay $100 extra on top of what I paid upon arrival.

I had a little hiccup with the hot water in the shower the first night I was there they fixed it. But they did get my belongings all wet… The smell is terrible in the hallway on the second floor. The elevator didn’t work the last two stays.

Booked for a concert. Checkin was good, staff nice. Room cleaners could use some better training or checked behind by management. Room for improvements there. Hotel convenient to restaurants and a quick uber ride to the venue.

Ceiling in the bathroom caving in from water damage. Shower only had cold water and stopped working halfway through my shower. Toilet didn’t flush. Worst hotel I have ever stayed at and I’ve stayed at extended stays on the west coast. Avoid them at all costs on the east coast. Worst hotel experience of my life. I only stayed one night even though I booked two.

I was told that I wouldn’t normally be allowed to rent since I live in Charleston, even though most people that stay there lives in Charleston as well. Not clean at all, smells of cigarette smoke all over hotel and in the room. Oh and my security deposit will be refunded if the room is clean and the sheets aren’t soiled. I walked past one room in particular and my eyes instantly teared up from whatever activities were taking place in there. The few people that I saw during the 5 minutes spent in there either looked like zombies or were (sadly and unfortunately) unsupervised children. After walking out I called the hotel because the front desk clerk had disappeared. They refused to refund my stay because I didn't wait around and give them a chance to provide me a different room. Honestly, getting out of there was the best $90+ I could have spent given the circumstances. In closing, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!

First time experience at an Extended Stay with mold on shower curtain, roaches, outdated stove from the 70's, burnt lamp shade, patched walls, no hangers, broken lock as well as door frame and non functional microwave. Best thing was hot water to shower and AC unit worked well. Close location to multitude of stores and eateries.

Absolutely DISGUSTING!! as we walked in, you could smell mildew based on the condition of the carpet, the man checking us in, was trying to check us in and watch videos on his phone at the same time. Walking through the hallway to get to our room, mind you the elevator was broken, so we had to take the stairs, the carpet was still dirty, and you could tell that the hotel was more than a hotel . It was almost like a housing complex because we saw people moving in bags getting groceries and children running around the hallways. as we finally got to our room, we entered, and instantly saw the most nastiest room. I have ever seen while traveling!!!! we checked the bathroom and it was P still in the toilet along with mold in the shower and old toothpaste spit particles on the mirror. They have a desk with a chair close to the kitchen and chair had old stains on it, and there was dry blood on the sockets in the kitchen. The bed also has stains on it as well. After seeing this, and taking pictures, we went downstairs to complain about the nastiness of our room, and the man at the desk was saying due to them being shortstaffed no one was cleaning the rooms, so we had to deal with it hearing that we got our stuff and left with the quickness. Not to mention while we were trying to check out the man at the desk was constantly outside in his car on the phone and we had to wait 20 minutes for him to get back to the desk. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. I will never stay here EVERRRRRRRR!

Nothing was good. Dirty. We checked in and walked to our room through horrible smoking . We were on the 3rd floor and no elevator service. We had our 85 year Aunt with us. We checked out immediately. We expect to be refunded for both rooms and hope the desk cleak did not capture our financial information for personal use.

Checking in was fast and had no extra fees or anything. When we got to the room they had roaches and poison for them in all the drawers and cabinets. My 1 year old was with us and would find the tablets and kept trying to play with them. The microwave above the sink was broken but we were not told this, they did have an extra microwave in the room so they knew it wasn't working. We didn't know which one to use and went to use the broken one not realizing it and it was making a loud noise and started to smoke we immediately turned it off. When I told the front desk they said "Well the other microwave works right?" and I said if they can't take it out they should at least put a note on it so people know not to use it and don't start a fire or something and they just said "yeah ok" so I don't think they had any intention of removing it or even putting a note on it. Checking in was fast and had no extra fees or anything. When we got to the room they had roaches and poison for them in all the drawers and cabinets. My 1 year old was with us and would find the tablets and kept trying to play with them. The microwave above the sink was broken but we were not told this, they did have an extra microwave in the room so they knew it wasn't working. We didn't know which one to use and went to use the broken one not realizing it and it was making a loud noise and started to smoke we immediately turned it off. When I told the front desk they said "Well the other microwave works right?" and I said if they can't take it out they should at least put a note on it so people know not to use it and don't start a fire or something and they just said "yeah ok" so I don't think they had any intention of removing it or even putting a note on it. I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this property. I have a severe insect allergy and when I arrived and checked into my room there were at least 7 roaches crawling over the bathroom sink and kitchen counters. There was also trash thrown about in the corners and the AC did not work. I told the front desk and they attempted to move me but the next room had bugs crawling all over as well but the AC did work. I asked for a refund due to my allergy but I was denied.

Finally got in my room and found trash in the hallway, my refrigerator didn’t work and there is a homeless camp out back. Pets and children being loud past 10pm. Did not dare take a shower because the only toiletries available were from the previous guest. No breakfast. It was just an average facility. It was inexpensive for a 2 night stay, the room was fairly clean and comfortable. So you get what you pay for.

This is a homeless shelter. The room I was given was completely dirty. Filthy. The TV didn’t work, the couch did not have cushions, the bathroom was dirty. I roomed smelled of complete smoke. There was some guys hanging around smoking and just watching your ever move making you feel completely unsafe. For the price you pay go somewhere safer, especially if you have a family.

They have roaches. A lot. And i left my blanket there called a few hours later and they supposedly never found it. Front door has tape so it doesnt get locked ever. No door in the back.

This was one of the worse places to stay, there was food left in the microwave, the shower leaked all night, ppl was outside of the place waiting for others to come in and out so they could go in. The hallways did not smell great at all.

I was checked in at 2:30 so i could change in time to make a wedding. There was a stench of pee and manure across from the elevator on level 3 which was unbearable. Once i arrived back to the room there were roaches everywhere. The kitchen area the bed area the common area.

We stayed in a room on the bottom floor and the people above us had no respect for the fact that we were below them. They were extremely loud, running back and forth and jumping up and down. I went to the front desk and complained. They spoke with the family above and the noise stopped for about 30 minutes. After that it sounded like the were purposely jumping up and down even harder then before. I complained again and was told they were already told to quite down and there was nothing else they could do. I had my 11yr old and two yr old with me and we could barely sleep until the noise finally stopped around 2am. The lady at the front desk seemed to not care AT ALL that we could barely sleep with what seemed like horses galloping back and and forth all night! We will not stay here again!

We came later in the evening on Friday for our 2 night stay and the lady at the front desk said we didn’t have a reservation and blew us off. The next morning we saw a charge for the room. I contacted hotels.com and the manager for the hotel. Come to find out we had a reservation but the hotel was completely booked so they gave our room away. Then charged us for no show and lied hoping we wouldn’t catch the 120 dollar charge. The manager was able to refund the charge but we were still out of a room for Saturday night because they gave that room away when they gave away the first night. Needless to say this left a bad taste for extended stay America . We will not be staying at another extended stay America because how they dealt with this was very shady and unhelpful.

Said that they have a pool, and we came there is no pool, and no breakfast included. The hotel is old, and smells of weed and cigarettes everywhere. Lots of homeless walking around the hotel.

Most of the hotel smelled like cigarettes and weed. There were people sleeping in the hallway. People were yelling throughout the night. We had a reservation for a room that was not honored and we were forced to spend more for a different room.

The carpet smelled like cat urine, the toilet didn’t work and overflowed, the continental breakfast was coffee and granola bars, the roaches, the dust, my keys stopped working 10 times a day, the no linen on my damn bed. It was a mess. The front desk staff was super nice though.

Disgusting room staying with Roaches! Grease sticky dirty kitchen, surfaces and floors. Room stinks of stale grease and also marajuana. Couldn’t sleep all night, with migraine from stench. Grossly uncomfortable!! 😡

When I arrived, I was notified that my room had been given to someone else and there’s nothing they could do for me. It was a learning experience for me.

When we arrived, we were told they were booked up. Our reservation had been cancelled. We arrived at around 8pm. No heads up by email, nothing. We were directed to another extended stay across the highway. They had a room, but it was dirty and unpleasant. We stayed there because we were tired. We were supposed to recieve a refund from 1st hotel, never did. I will be calling their corporate office ASAP.

Arrived to learn that we had no room. Had to book a room at a different hotel. Nowhere were we told that the room was only guaranteed until 6 PM. Already paid in full for 7 nights.

So I did appreciate that the front desk person Diamond was pretty helpful with my checkin. I arrived at hotel late and realized when i went to the bathroom that a piece ofthe ceiling was coming off. The following day I was moved to another room. This room had no TV remote, no phone and I've seen 2 roaches.

They canceled my room because they were overbooked. I never received any notification from expedia or the hotel. And i still haven't received a refund.

I arrived at 9:15 to learn they had cancelled my reservation because the housekeeper didn’t come to work. Nobody bothered to call me so I was faced with the task of finding accommodations in an unfamiliar city at 9:15 pm. The employee on duty could not have cared less and got an attitude with me when I asked why I had not been notified earlier. Check in starts at 3:00 so surely by 3:00 they knew the room would not be ready. No effort to find me alternative accommodations. Just a flippant “we don’t have any clean rooms”. Rudest Extended Stay America employee I have ever experienced, as your chain is my go-to for travel. Never again.

Expedia sent us to a motel was was closed. One month prior to our trip, they cancelled our Wingate reservation and sent us to a motel that is permanently closed. Horrible experience. Will not use your booking company again, after being a faithful customer.

The bed was comfortable. But the carpet hadn't been vacuumed, there were rips in it. The kitchen was disgusting. Rusted stove, countertops in horrible condition and chew marks all across the stools on the bottom. People constantly hanging around the parking lot that was filled with garbage. I don't know what reviews I was reading before making our reservations, but they definitely weren't for this particular location. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

The room was large and spacious. The air was very cold. The smell was not fresh. There were a few bugs in the room. Not cool! The staff was a little cold at first and then warmed up. The pool was unavailable. A few rooms looked like they were damaged.

They overbooked and gave my prepaid room away. I need a refund.
