    Unfortunately, the interaction with the front desk was disappointing. The employee was rude and came across as passive-aggressive rather than understanding my concern. I understand that parking fees may be standard, but guests should be clearly informed at check-in, especially when booking through a third-party site. Better communication and customer service would have made this experience much more positive.

    The front desk agent was rude, unprofessional and nasty. She needs to be retrained or placed somewhere that she doesn’t interact with guests. She demanded that I leave or she would call the police. I worked as a hotel Front Office Manager and a Night Auditor for 16 years. This type of behavior is unacceptable. I now work for Abbvie. I will tell all of my co-workers as well as corporate not to patronize Hilton unless this employee is extensively retrained, moved to a non guest facing position such as housekeeping and/or terminated. What an awful experience with this staff.

    Complimentary warm cookies and water! The hotel smelled nice. The bar, pool, and layout of the hotel was great. Room was clean (A+). Don't ever fall off on any if these things. And def keep the check-in and check-out times - I feel like I got my monies worth!!

    Really nice hotel. A little absurd that you have to pay for parking and there is no breakfast included. They have a starbucks if you’d like to purchase something from there. You end up spending about $30 extra.

    I did not like that you had to pay nightly for parking on the hotel parking lot. There was a lot of strange people and activities outside on the parking lot and around the hotel. Front desk staff wouldn't be present at the front desk when you showed up for assistance, and you'd be standing there waiting for help. Bed was uncomfortable for the nightly price paid.

    The first day we arrived the lady at the front desk was amazing. But that was the only day we saw her. The next couple of days we had different people and their customer service was by far one of the worst I’ve experienced by any staff, which was surprising since the first lady was the type that went above and beyond she even recommended places to eat. The second day in the morning we called the front desk to let them know there was no shampoo. We left the hotel three days later. They were still no shampoo. I usually leave 30 for the cleaning staff. But they also let me down. The first day was amazing everyday after that was horrible. Called front desk 5 times total. The toilet was leaking , which they were able to fix but after the first day even though we asked our room to be cleaned nobody came in the second and third day. I would leave and envelope with cash at front desk and in all honesty I was dissatisfied with the entire stay.

    I only needed a place to sleep for a quick trip. My room was clean and very nice. I wish I had time for the pool! The bar was filled and everyone was having a good time. I was surprised by the $16 parking fee, but the hotel was so cheap it still beat others around it. I would stay here again.

    The atmosphere was beautifully and clean. The female receptionist was stellar with service. HOWEVER, THE ROOM SMELLED OF URINE. I LET THE 2 OTHER PEOPLE KNOW BEFORE I LEFT AND MENTIONED I MIGHT REURN. HE SAID THEY WOULD CHECK THE ROOM. I WILL NOT RETURN because of the way he handled me and the situation. I paid good mosey. I'd go to a Motel 6 before i return there. I also am a Hilton honors member. I am in a Hilton as i write this review. INo matter how tired i am, i will NOT settle for any room given me next time.

    I love this hotel and have stayed twice. It has a starbucks mini location accessed at the bar and the bar has a full service menu that is fantastic. The whole front section of the hotel where this is located has just an overall inviting feel. There is also a robust market area that has anything you may need. The staff are fantastic from the bar/kitchen to the front desk. Anything I needed (extra blanket, forgotten toothbrush, early ck in, etc) I was able to easily get by asking. They have a very generous ck out time of 12 which I NEVER see anymore. Also, the king suite with bunk beds is PERFECT for a family of four that also includes a pull out sofa and a 1/2 bath in the den section of the room. Was perfect for us to gather with our in laws traveling with us and staying in a seperate room. The bedroom has a cavernous bathroom with a tub and seperate shower which is really nice. My ONLY complaint is the rooms are showing some wear like frayed carpet, some soap dispensers coming off of the shower wall and some stains on the furniture. It never felt dirty, just visibly worn. I love this place and will stay here every time I go to Charleston even though it's about a 20 min drive outside of downtown due to traffic. The price point and amenities make it 100% worth it.

    Friendly welcome and nice room. Everything was super clean and the front desk staff were very polite and helpful. I had requested a pack and play to be set up in the room prior to arrival and it was not set up. We ended up having to ask several times for it (not ideal when trying to have a baby nap on time) and when it came there was no mattress, just a rock hard board for the baby to sleep on. Besides this issue, we enjoyed our stay.

    The location is awful. They falsely advertise this as near the airport and it is not. I asked for a refund and so far they have not done so. This location is not near the airport. I actually stayed at the Doubletree across from the airport and it was fine but it is advertised as a convention center location.

    There was a bar that served some products from Starbucks and with the pouring rain on Saturday 1/3/26 I had to just go out and purchase breakfast. The front desk attendant was very unfriendly, not helpful and while unloading my SUV, I had to ask about the parking. She just said "Just use your phone and scan and pay." The young lady over at the bar "Mickey" I think her name was is an outstanding employee. She was so concerned and very helpful. My room was horrible because out of all the Hilton brands I have stayed at, none were not bad as this one. The room (150) was extremely small, very crowed with large furniture (big dresser, tables etc.). To many items for such a tiny room. There was not a sofa just a chair and many tables. I am so disappointed with the entire stay and will not be returning. My whole trip was a loss.

    This is the worst DoubleTree I have ever stayed in. The room was old and reminded me of a Super 8 back in the 80's. The AC unit was so loud I expected parts to start flying through the wall. There's no way any human could put up with that noise. There were loud idiots yelling all night long in the courtyard that all the rooms surround. The worst part is it was the employees doing it. I had to download a white noise app on my phone to attempt to get any sleep. When I was checking out the next morning they couldn't have cared less about any of the issues. I will never stay in another Double Tree anywhere again.

    This is the worst DoubleTree I have ever stayed in. The room was old and reminded me of a Super 8 back in the 80's. The AC unit was so loud I expected parts to start flying through the wall. There's no way any human could put up with that noise. There were loud idiots yelling all night long in the courtyard that all the rooms surround. The worst part is it was the employees doing it. I had to download a white noise app on my phone to attempt to get any sleep. When I was checking out the next morning they couldn't have cared less about any of the issues. I will never stay in another Double Tree anywhere again.

    The suite had a 1/2 bath in the sitting area, and a huge full bath with an extra large double vanity with plenty of counter space. The full bath had a standard tub and shower combo, and a separate walk in shower with glass doors. The bedroom space was very large, with the bunk bed situated in an alcove near the king bed. Very little privacy between the two spaces. Blankets were not available in the suite for the bunk beds, so I had to call to request them from the front desk. Service was friendly and very quick. The suite had the standard mini fridge and very small microwave. Parking is not free, it's $10/night. Breakfast is also not completely free. They provide vouchers for a complimentary item from a breakfast menu, but you'll pay extra if you want something different. We did not end up using the breakfast vouchers during our stay. We did not use it, but there is a lovely bar in the hotel lobby, with plenty of lounge seating. Overall, the hotel was a decent choice, but I will stay elsewhere when traveling there again.

This particular Double Tree has breakfast but it's not your traditional breakfast or even continental breakfast, it's a Starbucks breakfast which I don't like. I would not have gotten the breakfast here if I had known that but it's my fault for going off of past experiences with Double Tree.. the room was fantastic just beware of the breakfast.

    Our stay started a little rocky. When we checked in, we were told they had overbooked and had no King rooms left which is what we reserved. We were very disappointed but the front desk attendant, Jada, was amazing! She put us in a double for the weekend at a discount and then had us moved to a King as soon as available. We were ready to leave for another hotel, but her kindness, efficiency, and professionalism kept us at the Doubletree!

    The room was nice, but unfortunately, I faced the freeway and it was noisy. The hotel itself was quiet, no loud kids, etc... The property itself is definitely older. Carpet, paint, etc. The lobby is gorgeous, big, and very posh! Note- There is NO continental breakfast! You pay for everything!!! I tried to order room service thru their app the first night I arrived and of course it would not take my order because it said my room number did not exist! I tried it 4 times! I made sure I was using my correct room number. This was extremely frustrating.

    No one was at the front desk upon check in and when I had a question about leaving a room key for my daughter at the front desk. I waited for 10 minutes and then left without leaving the room key. The AC unit in the room is extremely loud and you will hear airplane noise in this hotel. Other than that, the hotel is nice, clean and updated.

Hotel provided an upgraded room to a King Suite, However third room air conditioning was so loud each time it turned on and off; made it difficult to sleep.     Lobby was beautiful, loved there was a bar and Starbucks coffee. The pool area wasn’t as nice as the rest of the property. The rooms were nice, bathroom was beautiful. There were a few instances with miscommunication about the actual fees due at check in. The night previous our stay, I tried to transfer our reservation to another Double Tree, Expedia customer service was very hard to understand communicate with. For some reason the transfer wasn’t allowed, I was never given a reason for why it’s not allowed. All in all, we enjoyed our weekend away from home.

    First thing, you see greeted with pay by phone parking …. right next to a Lowe’s parking lot. The furniture in the room was all damaged. The microwave was hanging halfway off the table it was on, broken lampshades, gouges in the furniture (they tried to hide some with a trash can), exposed ribbing on a chair. The air conditioning was like having a jet engine in the room with us.

    The stay ranged between okay and good. The king suite was very spacious with good interior arrangement of furniture. Unfortunately some of the drawers would not stay closed and the sliding bathroom door was hard to open from the inside if closed all the way. Also, the room didn't have much information in terms of how to connect to wifi, menu options for the restaurant on-site, etc.

    This hotel has beyond poor customer service. We had to be proactive and ask questions regarding parking to avoid towing, figure out what was included as far as amenities on our own, as they weren’t explained upon checking in, and consistently had to follow up regarding a clogged sink. Eventually, we were switched to another room after four calls over an hour timeframe to the front desk and speaking with another representative. We were still further inconvenienced after getting switched. It was a very terrible experience after driving 8 hours. We received a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience. However, we don’t eat breakfast, so it didn’t smooth anything over. The second room’s carpet was stained bad and had a slight odor. We will never book here again.

    Due to a severe storm, the electricity in the hotel went out. Due to this, we had to check out of the hotel a day early. We were told that we would not get charged for the extra night. We had to walk up four flights of stairs then down four flights of stairs several times with several pieces of luggage. The hotel employee by the name of Gwen was very, very rude. Even our first night at the hotel, the air conditioning unit made so much noise we could not sleep. We requested a room change and Gwen told us, in a very unprofessional manner, that nothing was available. We then called back and spoke to Mary and she was to get us another room. Mary was very nice and professional.

    This was the girls trip I took for my birthday. Everything about the building and staff itself was wonderful. I was a little confused when I seen another hotel connected to it. The front desk staff is wonderful. Michelle is great and there was also another lady there. I can’t recall her name a dark skin lady with beautiful hair. She was very nice also, it was close to a lot of restaurants in area’s the building was clean and upkeep. The rooms were nice somewhat spacious and we had a suite the hot water in the shower did cause me to get burns to the chest from being too hot so be careful when using that. Also, you have to pay for parking while you’re there. It’s like 14 bucks a night. My favorite part about the hotel was the outside seating area at night around the fire pit. I do feel they should try to host more events or have theme nights coordinated around their bar to make things more interesting. but I really have nothing bad to say besides the burns I receive from the hot water.

    Stayed here for a sleepover party with a few teenagers. Booked the room because it was listed as 900+ square feet, and I wanted a large area for everyone to socialize and play games; however, this measurement was quite incorrect. Stayed in room 410. The bartender and staff were amazing!

    The hotel suite was spacious and clean. However, the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The drawers in the sitting area were broken and would not stay closed, and the toilet was extremely low to the ground that did not deter me from enjoying my time in the suite, though.

    Overall stay was great. However there were small hang-ups like the fans not working in the bathroom and the AC unit sounding like a jet plane engine every time it turned on. It was extremely loud. Despite this, I still enjoyed the stay and the comfort of the bed is what’s most important: 5 stars! I would stay again!

    the toilets were very low to the floor... they need upgrading to the 16.5 inch toilets...the setting chair in my suite was heavily stained with discolorations-we covered it with a towel...there was people playing loud music in the parking lot late in the evening...finally-I was charged for HANDICAP PARKING, that was unsettling... However the front desk and other staff members were very courteous and very professional!

    This hotel was okay, one of the nights they were blasting music at the bar and people were so loud so we couldn’t sleep. We were on the first floor so maybe just ask for a higher floor if you like to sleep! Other than that it was pretty good, clean, and staff was nice!

    Coliseum Performing arts center and next to the airport! Not so, It is the Other Double Tree with small print Convention center. The other has small print airport which confuses people. I REPEAT DO NOT STAY!!. And for the record, I Never like to leave negative reviews. I usually leave positive or nothing. But this hotel is the worst I have ever in my entire life stayed. I compare to a motel 6 or super 8. And even then, they at least advertise correctly. I booked through Expedia and I called them to complain while I was staying there. They are giving me credits but we will see how much. I repeat DO NOT BOOK this hotel Double Tree by Hilton on 7401 Northwoods Bld North Charleston, South Carolina. and if you don't believe. I've warned you. PS The carpets were disgusting through out the hotel. Staff is not friendly or welcoming. It was just an awkward environment. Everyone warned me about the South! I will never return there.
