    The room was great for the price. It was very spacious and clean. The bed could have been a bit firmer and the shower head was not easy to change the water flow. It was very forceful. I like a great water flow but this was to forceful to me. I would definitely go back there if I was in the area again.

    We were disappointed to see the pool was closed due to being shut down by the state for lack of “No Diving” signs. We were told the sign would be delivered the next day. The next morning we were told it would be in the next hour. We went out and did our sightseeing for the day and came back at 5 pm to hear pool was still not open. Other than that, our room was nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay.

    The property was newly renovated and beautiful. But we stayed for 4 nights and had to ask multiple times to have our room cleaned. Everyone was kind. But communication between staff seemed lacking. Also, no complimentary breakfast option or coffee was a disappointment. There seemed to be some kind of ‘pay ahead’ option for breakfast and we were just out of luck for that. Also. The Starbucks counter did not take cash. Again, everyone was nice. But the policies and communications were frustrating and had us leaving the hotel instead of staying.

    Mr. Omar was welcoming, pleasant, professional, and warm. First impressions go a long way he made you feel like you mattered when you first entered the hotel. When you travel, you tend to observe customer service differently what meets the bar, what doesn't, and goes beyond the bar.. He achieved the beyond bar status for me. When I checked out, he was there and gave me the same experience. This time, more staff were on duty, and his interaction with other customers and staff was genuinely warm. I can tell his customer service extends to internal and external customers. Housekeeping, however, not sure of the cleaning policies anymore to fairly give a rating that's accurate. Meaning, does the room get cleaned daily, or is that based on the length of days that are stayed in the room that determines when housekeeping cleans rooms, or is it by request.

    Decent room accommodations. The outside needs a good power wash because it felt dirty. The printer had no ink and the manager had no clue that it was empty. Little things add up. Overall, a good location for what we needed, but could use some cleaning. It did smell like bleach so I think they sanitize 😳

    However, on the first night when we went to bed, we noticed that the blanket had two yellowish stains and two black hairs on it. It seemed like the bedding had not been changed prior to our arrival, which was disappointing and concerning. Aside from this issue, the rest of the room looked clean and comfortable. As a piece of advice to future guests, I would recommend checking the bedding before going to bed to ensure everything is fresh. I hope the hotel pays closer attention to housekeeping details, as cleanliness especially of bedding is very important for guests comfort and trust.

    I've stayed at this property twice and despite it being a few years, I thought it was a safe bet to book again. I was wrong. I did not change the booking because I arrived very late at night and was extremely tired. I was so uncomfortable, I didn't stay for the entirety of my trip. What I'd come to expect from Courtyard Marriott-and from this specific property-was not met this time around. I requested a new room because upon pulling out the sofa bed I observed extremely soiled sheets and a previous guest's clothing. I was given a new room and the hallway had a soiled towel in the floor and an unpleasant smell. The following day I attempted to order something from the bistro. I waited for several minutes at the counter without any assistance. I could hear people in the kitchen area talking and laughing, but they never came out. Additionally, there were two workers at the front desk who never offered to have someone assist me. It's truly disappointing.

    I love any Marriott Hotel. However, this particular one wasn’t as clean as I’m used to when it comes to the brand. My bed had dried blood on the comforter. There were no face towels in the bathroom. I still love the Marriott brand, just need this hotel to be sure that the rooms are cleaned thoroughly. But I will book here again.

We had to return our first order (because of missing sides) and ordered a different breakfast just to wait in total 1 hour and 15 minutes to get something to eat for 3 persons. The service was not fast or friendly at all so we decided to complain and got help from Megan, the assistant GM. In the end the solution we found was satisfying both sides, but we probably will not come back to stay in that hotel again, even though it is all in all a newer hotel with a good bed. If you want to stay in safe and quiet place, pay a little more and stay out of North Charleston.

    During breakfast, the male employee was coughing quite a bit. He should have removed himself to cough, instead of coughing in the food area and possibly spreading germs. , He did not wash his hands nor have a mask on.     I got bait and switched for which hotel I was booking. Told me it was 6.7miles from downtown and ended up being the Courtyard 12.7 miles away. I feel they do this to book up an under booked hotel. Floor was damp, got random small charges and hidden fees (they charge a hidden fee for parking)

    I arrived at the property late (around 8 PM), exhausted, and needing to be up early by 6 AM. The first thing I noticed was mold in the bathtub and a dirty door, which I easily cleaned with a Lysol wipe. The staff should have sprayed the bathtub with bleach to address the mold, and it takes little effort to wipe down a door—especially one that’s frequently used.

    The water wasn’t drinkable and no one told me. Went to go take a shower and I had tons of metal shavings. Went to the front desk and was told to run the shower for “5 mins”. On day three- the water still had metal flakes and was dirty. My bed had a long hair that wasn’t mine and l questioned it being clean. The towels also had long black hair on it?? I will never stay here again- paid the extra money because it was Marriott and it wasn’t worth it. Area is super sketchy

    Our uber driver told us this is not a good area to walk after dark. There was a cockroach in the bathroom when I got up in the morning. My cappuccino at the coffee shop was $5 one morning v and $7 the next and not hot. The hotel was ok but not a good are.

    I had a last-minute need to stay overnight in North Charleston. I was very happy to find a room available at the courtyard Marriott. I arrived late and there was someone waiting to greet me at the desk. I was pleased to see that as usual the room was incredibly clean. I was slightly disappointed at the choices of snacks, etc., by the front desk as the bar and food were already closed. The blackout shades are no joke. I overslept and missed the breakfast time too. The only thing I would recommend would be for the Starbucks and food to have longer hours

    Hotel was clean and comfortable and safe. Best find was the bar…really the bartender. He served standard drinks for the guys and concocted specialty drinks for the ladies after asking a lot about what we like. He used fresh fruits and herbs and chatted while he worked. It was obvious he enjoys his work and was really a cut any routine bartender.

    The property was not great but I wouldn’t say it was too bad. We stayed for four days and the elevator was out the entire time we were there and we stayed on the fourth floor. The pools conditions could have been better, visually it was nice and it was empty when I went but the stains at the bottom of the pool and along the sides were very unappealing. The shower pressure was more of a power wash than anything but it was a very quiet place to stay the staff, was amazing and the decor was perfect.

    The hotel was clean and decent for the price, but we got in late and when we asked for extra towels (we barely had any in the room and we had 3 people) we were told that we couldn’t get any because the closet was ‘locked’. There was also no baggage cards for the next morning when we checked out because they said that they could not locate them, which was really inconvenient and odd. Also, the hotel is pretty noisy. Every time a door closes on another floor you hear it and it slams into your room.

    The location is terrible. Was warned not to go off property far after dark and frankly, the area seemed to be in such bad shape, our ride share drivers told us to make sure the cars were locked, as did hotel staff and there was nothing visible. Break in are common form what i understand and the area itself is run down, empty malls and shopping plazas and just a general unsafe feel.

    When we asked for another set of towels, we were told there were none available as they were being washed! Anyone was able to just walk into the hotel and get on the elevator( a very suspicious person did just that). I felt very unsafe. The room was in need of renovation.. the curtain had a rod missing making it difficult to close the curtain. The toilet seat was so flimsy that half of it would slide off of the toilet when you sat on it. There was a stray dog that was walking around the front and back of the hotel( I was afraid to get into my rental car for fear that the dog would attack)

    When we first arrived, we were disappointed with the overall vibe of the hotel, having just stayed at the downtown Charleston Courtyard Marriott the night prior as well as the Savanna Marriott the nights prior to that, which were both lovely. Because we couldn’t get a room after our first night in Charleston, we booked with hotels.com, which wouldn’t allow us to cancel without a nights stay fee. From the start, our room overlooked a roof of the building which I was able to change to another with a better view which was fine. After settling in, my husband took a shower and told me the water wasn’t draining and was at least 6 inches which he was standing in after showering. I notified the front desk and was told that they would send someone up but after waiting for over an hour, I phoned again letting them know that this was delaying our plans to go out for the evening, and waited an additional half hour plus before someone came, and after some time in the bathroom, he showed me a very large clump of hair which he pulled from the drain. I don’t know how the room keepers didn’t notice it wasn’t properly draining upon cleaning it. Because of that, our evening was cut short. When we returned, following our outing, and prepared for bed, I checked the closet for extra blankets or comforters, which the other hotel had and which the one that did not, was brought up to me, so I phoned the front desk, at 11 pm or so, and it rang and rang, for a very very long time but nobody picked up.
