Awesome staff, very clean room.

Service is absolutely top shelf. Good location for my needs. Definitely a solid 10 for a no frills room. Just need a place to stop and recharge? Perfect place and the price is right.

The proximity to the beach was fantastic. The proximity to a walkable area that lead to the beach and some stores was superb. The venue felt safe and inviting. The noise levels were peaceful. The room temperatures seemed inconsistent. One of our rooms was frigid when we arrived and one of our rooms was sweltering. The rooms also felt rather humid. A moderate room temperature and humidity level upon arrival is an improvement that could be made.

The room was great, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only drawback was noise from the street.

The hotel is next to a pretty busy road so there was a fair amount of traffic noise throughout the night. The breakfast was pretty underwhelming relative to the cost of the room.

Clean and cozy room. Close to East Beach but be prepared to walk there. (Very little parking at the beach) I'm glad the hotel was so close. The staff was very friendly. I would most definitely stay again.

I would have liked to have a chair (even a small one) in the room. The room was near a road and I was awakened a couple of times during the night by loud motorcycles going up and down the road.

Rooms were very clean. Staff was excellent. Amenities were VERY lacking. Coffee was cold both days. I prefer coffee in my room. Breakfast was terrible. Frozen muffins. Stale bagels. No protein available for diabetics.

Not bad for a low budget hotel with a cold breakfast. Staff was super helpful and super friendly. I think based on the fact that this hotel is low budget that the price per night was a little steep. No pool, no gym, no hot breakfast, etc.

Decent hotel for an overnight stay. No microwave in the room. Very small refrigerator. Breakfast was very minimal. No hot breakfast. For the price of the room, would expect a better breakfast. Rooms smell the weed. Dogs barking all night and day. Room service was poor. Stayed for almost 2 weeks. Sheets were never changed and towels replaced about every 3rd day.

Clean and fresh hotel at a good price. We were in Norfolk for one night to visit the Chrysler Museum and the botanical gardens. The Sourdough pizza place down the street was great.

It helped make my stay wonderful and allowed me to enjoy the rest of my time while I was there.

We enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have breakfast available each morning at the hotel. Not a huge selection of breakfast items but it was sufficient. Staff was very kind. The only negative was in regards to housekeeping services. We were aware that housekeeping would come in every other day. We received fresh clean towels and garbages were emptied but beds were not made or sheets changed the 4 days we were there. Overall, it was a good hotel.

There wasn’t any shampoo in the shower, only body wash and conditioner. The curtains were not room darkening and they were torn pretty badly so we had to rig them for privacy since we were on the first floor. Also, the rooms are not sound proof so you could hear people talking in hallways, doors slamming shut, people walking in the room above you etc. The staff at this location were extremely nice and friendly.

Traveled as a group for a wedding. 2 People reserved king room and we're given queen. 1 was given a room that smelled like dog. My room had an odd smell. Overall it added stress to our trip.

Overall, the property was clean. However, it seemed to be under staffed. Our sheets were dirty when we arrived and when I shared this with the front desk she was alone and had to give us a completely different room (a much better room although same amenities). Also, the staff on when we checked out was rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. I was so annoyed that I forgot to get her name.

Was obviously recently updated so everything was clean, freshly painted, new furniture, flooring, bathroom fixtures etc. Very nice for those reasons, but still small and quite noisy as could hear people walking above and outside room throughout the night. It was fine for us to stay in for the few hours before our flight, but were glad not to have to stay multiple nights.

The hotel itself is generally fine, however excluding 1 staff member (Latina girl with an accent, apologies I meant to get her name, she’s great) the rest of the ladies at the desk are both unhelpful & rude. They spend their entire shifts staring at an iPad with AirPods in & act as if you’ve done them a disservice anytime you approach & they actually have to do their “job”. Nobody says hello, they can barely even manage eye contact, it’s a truly pathetic display of customer service as well as just general human decency/social understanding. You genuinely would get 10x the humanity out of ChatGPT comparatively. I was told one thing by a staff member, then I would go down later, that person is gone, and I get a completely different answer from the next person. There is very obviously no consistency in their operation.

The hotel was brand new and well set-up for a short stay on the road. front reception staff provided some welcome cookies and chips on check-in and the breakfast was surprisingly well stocked. for an inexpensive place, it was very well set-up to satisfy our short stay needs.

Breakfast was decent. Location was good for what we came up for. There was an overpowering musty odor by the ice machine on the second floor. If I had to guess, I would say the carpet got wet and there is mold growing under it causing the odor.

We had a double queen room and it was very small. But the front desk staff and breakfast staff were wonderful. Breakfast was the usual. We only found two negatives. No coffee in the room and our housekeeper never made our beds or cleaned our room in 4 days. We had to ask for towels and to get the garbage emptied. We ran out of shower gel and it never got refilled.

The location was perfect for what I needed. Fresh hot coffee and Hot Water.

Rooms are clean, with bathtub and fridge but no microwave. Coffee is available 24/7. Complimentary breakfast is nice too.

The room’s very simple but cozy! I guess I would love to just improve the breakfast, I would love a little sausage, fried egg maybe, any savory foods for breakfast.

I am overwhelmed with the kindness that Nelly at the front desk shows for my service dog. I feel bad that I have to travel with a service dog as proud as I am of her and her behavior I would never want to put a restaurant or a hotel in a situation that they weren’t truly welcoming my beautiful dog in the service that I need. Nelly goes overboard to welcome us both and make us feel so good.

Beds were comfortable, room was clean, staff very attentive. Water was hot and the Zero products in the bathroom have me searching them on Amazon to buy. Very loud, doors slamming all hous of the night, neighbors TV was blaring to the extent we had to move rooms, staff tried to wake the tenant but they wouldn't answer the door. So at 4am the offered us a new room on a different floor and we packed up and went down there. People yelling in the halls. Roo. Sidle on the Booking site didn't match the actual size of the room which was on the smaller size. The road noise was terrible.

Staff was very nice and helpful. Our first room had a leaky window with a sopping wet towel on the windowsill. They quickly moved us to another room. They day they came to service our room the bed was left unmade, there was no toilet paper and only 1 towel was replaced. The night receptionist apologized and provided toilet paper and towels. The next day they serviced the room again and left a wet, dirty rag by the TV and one of the "clean" washcloths was dirty. We've stayed here before and never had an issue. Staff literally told us to be careful in the area so we didn’t get robbed. Hotel is otherwise very nice. We didn’t have any issues at all other than the staff person scaring us.

Was convenient location as we did a lot of day trips so we bypassed downtown traffic but was close to many good restaurants if you have a car. The nearby beaches are beautiful. Quiet place, clean and good value for the money

Breakfast was almost nonexistent! We asked on the second day to get more hair conditioner because the container was empty. We never got a refill. Our bed was not made every other day. Front desk people were great. I hate that the rooms are so small that you can’t even get the luggage cart into the room to unload. There were paper wrappers beside the bed that was not cleaned up from the people before us.

You can tell this used to be another hotel and they dressed it up with new paint. You can see where the old fixtures were. They definitely didn’t do a full remodel. Floors are thin and you can hear people walking and talking above you. Proximity to the beach was great! And it was clean enough for a 2 night stay. But I won’t ever stay at a Spark again!

Must be a new construction or newly renovated because for the rating it has, the room was very clean and comfortable. Loved no carpet on the floor.

Arrived well after 4pm check in time and only one room was ready, would have been nice for a “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” but the desk clerk clearly didn’t care. Waited over an hour, back to the desk and the manager seemed surprised that we were not checked in. Overall rooms extremely clean, hotel clean. Very small rooms but expected with price, breakfast was disappointing only cereal and bagels but the all day coffee bar was great! Would stay again!!

Overall - nice hotel for a one night stopover. The complemental breakfast was lacking though - not much of a selection & not much left even though we went early!

The overall experience was okay. The room and location were nice. The staff wasn’t very friendly and the housekeeper didn’t provide service as advertised. Breakfast could’ve been better as well.

The staff were nice but not very friendly. There was no microwave in the room had to use the one in the lobby. And the towel situation was kind of ridiculous.

Con: The room had a slight smell not sure what it was.

Nice new clean and renovated hotel, not far from the beach and close to the restaurants and Starbucks. They have very good complimentary candies at the reception 😉

While the room itself was ok for the most part, note that this is located right by a busy road with poor sound proofing so you will hear cars and people talking. The blackout curtain didn’t fully cover the window to block out light as well as I had hoped.

The room temperature was set to 62° with extremely cold when we got there then they didn’t even have my room keys ready when I first checked in not to mention there was no microwave in the room no coffee maker in the room and were in 2025 then three nights that I was there every night the guest that were staying on the floor I was staying on. We’re so noisy up until three in the morning. It kept waking me and my kids up. And the breakfast was just simply muffins and bagels more like breakfast appetizers not what I was expecting at all especially considering going through Expedia ended up paying the extra $200.

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was basic, but serviceable. We were contacted numerous times to check our needs and comfort. The front desk staff was great. Patricia is a gem. 🔥

This was a recently renovated hotel.

Very clean and well maintained. Hilton did and excellent job remodeling and bringing the property up to date. The only con I have is that there are no microwaves in the room. No one wants to go to the lobby to warm up food.

Customer service was disappointing. The front desk did not greet the customer nor asked how everything was upon departure. Will not recommend this location to anyone.

Nice clean hotel, staff was nice. The street outside can be a little loud there was a firetruck running down the road and for some reason the Star Spangled Banner started blasting from somewhere at 8am. For the money it’s nice and it’s close to a lot of things.

Had a major delay so needed to be close to the airport for an early flight out

First time at this hotel and it did not disappoint, clean and spacious room, friendly staff they even gave us dinner recommendations. Will definitely choose this hotel next time we go to Virginia.

We were there just to sleep and catch plane the next morning. The bed was comfortable. The noise outside was minimal so we slept very well. The room itself was small so I wouldn't want to stay for an extended period of time (same for the lobby - small). I would stay again if I fly through again.

The room was very clean, with a nice TV and charging stations for phones which was helpful. Those were the pros. The only pros. Cons..the mini fridge barely kept our drinks cool. They were just above room temperature after being in the fridge the entire 2 nights of our stay. The hotel has 3 floors and there is only 1 microwave in the lobby to accommodate the entire hotel. The furniture in the room is setup to accommodate a microwave, they should strongly consider adding them to the rooms. The walls are paper thin. You hear EVERY SINGLE THING happeneing in hallway and the room next to yours. The hallway noise was loud and clear that it woke my fiance from his sleep. Our 1st night at the hotel the fire alarm went off well after midnight and startled us awake. We went downstairs to make sure there was no actual fire. The overnight Front Desk Clerk was borderline rude. We asked if everything was ok she shrugged and said "I don't know". The lights were still flashing all over the hotel. We asked if we should remain stay downstairs until the issue was resolved and she said "that's up to you, I can't tell you what to do. Probably just somebody smoking in a room". Since this a no smoking allowed hotel I would hope not. In any event I would hope that the staff would show a little more concern when a paying guest is concerned about a fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. Not a great overall experience. Not sure I would return without improvements.

The day desk clerk was sullen and seemed to be annoyed that she had to work on your behalf. The night clerk, Patricia, was her exact opposite: a genuinely nice person. Spend a little more money on front of house staff!

Comfortable stay, the beds were very comfortable and pillows nice and fluffy. Towels were thick better than most higher end hotels I’ve been to. My only observations was that there wasn’t a coffee maker or microwave. I kind of feel that should be standard in all hotels / motels. Would have been nice if the TV was a smart TV.

It’s basically just a room, zero amenities. Talk about a noisy hotel! We were woken up so many times throughout the night by people yelling, running, fighting, slamming the exit door, just awful. I also alerted the front desk that the rear door did not lock and this was a safety issue but it was never remedied. The room was large and clean other than some mold on the bottom of my shower curtain they missed and the conditioner being empty, I can live with those issues as long as there are no bugs.

The stay was short but good. Service would have been an excellent if it had not been for the lady working the front desk for morning check out, the young lady who checked us in was very nice and professional but I had 2 encounters with the one lady that was rude the first time was before my initial checkin ;we arrived early due to driving all night so we stopped in to make sure we were at the correct hotel and check our reservation she didn’t let me ask anything she just rudely said you can’t check in now and I proceeded to tell her I just want to confirm my reservation she said check in is 4 come back then but when we came back to check in thankfully there was a nice young lady to check us in and tell us a little about Norfolk since we had never been there so other than that we had a great stay waiting on our cruise

I was also disappointed to learn that there was no designated area to exercise. Both of these facts will prevent me from booking here in the future.

The breakfast is “continental”, but there were still plenty of options. There is a coffee station in the lobby, available 24/7. The room was immaculate, and the shower/tub combo was pristine. We’re already making plans to stay again. The only 2 negatives are that because they aren’t on the main street of town, there aren’t many food options. But, there are plenty one block over. The other thing is that you can’t turn left into the property-NOT THEIR FAULT. You just have to make a u-turn just a few buildings down. And you can’t beat the price!

Clean Close to Zoo, Botanical Gardens, Sentara Hospital Ok breakfast Cons No coffee or frig in room Rude Staff!!! You could tell they hated their jobs and resented guests. Ruined it for me. My score went from 5 to 1 because of staff's attitudes.

ALL STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. FACILITY WAS VERY CLEAN, NEW, AND BRIGHT. CONSIDERING THE LOW PRICE OF THE ROOM, THE COMPLIMENTARY CONTINENTAL STYLE BRKFST AND COFFEE (SEEMINGLY ON TAP 24/7!) WAS GREAT. THERE WERE MULTIPLE RESTAURANTS IN WALKING DISTANCE AND A GROCERY STORE. I WAS TAKING CLASSES AT LITTLE CREEK NAVAL BASE. IF I AM BACK IN TOWN AGAIN IN THIS AREA I WOULD DEFINTIELY STAY HERE AGAIN. IT IS ALSO A REASONABLE DISTANCE FROM BEACH ACCESS LOCATIONS.

1 night stay on a quick trip through Norfolk. Hotel was clean, and staff was nice and professional. Our room (325) was huge. The beds were comfortable. We didn’t eat breakfast there but did look. All carb-laden and quick stuff…fruit, cereal, bagels, muffins. Overall a good stay and we would return if we were in the area again.

I was on third floor, no machine after walking entire corridor, elevator to first floor, was told ice was on the second floor. Elevator to second floor, got ice, elevator back to third floor. Also, it was raining when I arrived. NO access to front door due to design. Park on sides . Room and beds were nice and comfortable. Would stay again if and when in area.
