    I really appreciate their accommodation for my stay. I ended up arriving later than planned and I didn’t call ahead of time. Although my reservation got canceled they were able to reinstate my reservation and I got a room for my stay

    Everything was perfect except for miscommunication on whether breakfast was included. At check-in the staff insisted that breakfast was extra. We had to download our reservation with Hotels.com and showed the staff that we paid for breakfast.

    The hotel was a great surprise. Perfectly located along the waterfront with a bird's eye view of naval action with the in dock ships. Staff were very nice and it was walkable to nearby activities. Definitely on our return list. From the many hotels we've stayed in recently, it has the best sleeping beds.

    Breakfast could have been hotter and a little bit more variety and the location you just is nowhere to go. There's no stores near. Got to walk far or you got to take a ferry or you got to get a uber location was not good for us older ladies that were at the women's retreat. The rooms the down the downstairs and coming in part was wonderful but when you got upstairs in the hallways and then to the rooms they need to be updated the tub the shower area The beds the pillows rooms The walls the ceilings needs to be updated.

    Location cleanliness and comfortable staff was helpful Asked for early check in however wasnt able to accommodate which is understandable but rooms with 2 beds weren't available at check in time so they gave us a room with a king and sofa bed carried everything to room to find out there was only a king bed so back to the front desk to wait for another room finally in a room with a king and a sofa bed Service at the restaurant was a little slow but food was very.good Breakfast bar was definitely not worth the money as they were out of food and not restocking hardly

    There was limited hot water to shower, the TV service STOPPED working about 24 hours into a 2 day stay and the bass from a nearby venue thumped until after 11p at night. Staff acted like they were oblivious or I was imagining it when I complained, but I heard many guests at check out talking about the same things. We had planned to stay an extra day because we normally like this hotel but this weekend was not their best work AT ALL.

    I had a wonderful stay here!!! The hotel is write on the harbor. The same side of Waterside as the Spirit of Norfolk and the Ferry. Each are walkng distance from this Beautiful hotel!!! The hotel and it's rooms are clean and comfortable. I melted into my bed after enjoying the brunch cruise on the Spirit of Norfolk. The Valet parking is a bonus!! I highly recommend and I shall return!!!

    Friendly staff at check in and in Concierge; the valet evening staff could have been more cordial. However, the young man, Future, was very personable and hospitable. Clean, spacious room. Biggest complaint would be the non working elevators and the broken ice machine on the Concierge level.

    Rooms were comfortable, checking in out was easy. The valet was fantastic. Just feel it was compared to the other Marriott properties here in Norfolk. It’s a little overpriced. Definitely need some updating in the rooms. Some of the rooms were some rust on some things and the bathroom door was damaged on the very bottom but overall a nice stay

    the room was nice. the view of the harbor was pretty cool. the staff was nice and helpful. and the hotel is in a good location so there was a lot to do within walking distance. but i ended up with a faulty toilet. maintenance came by to look into but i was not in the room at the time so im not sure how that went... i just know we ended up using the one downstairs in the lobby primarily. we also were given a set of towels that had clearly visible blood stains on them. so i didn't care for that.

    t We loved the no carpets. The location was fabulous. Easy breakfast, starbucks coffee was convenient to get each morning. We were allowed a 12 noon check out and check in was seamless. Somehow I did not know there would be soooo many dogs..my husbands eyes were irritated. Valet said $8 per night, we were charged $15 per night.

    We had a room reserved and paid weeks prior to a staying and when we got there around midnight, they said well it is first come first serve. We have no rooms available and stuck us in a room with only one bed. We told them this would not work as an option because we had five people we had to wait around an hour to get another room cleaned for us. I don’t understand where she meant first come first serve when we were one of those reserved ones. We had children with us in around 3 AM. There was all kinds of loud music outside of our window at the entryway going on for over 30 minutes like a party. We got hardly any sleep and we needed to be up early. I asked to speak to a manager she said she would give my name and number, but never got with me. After driving 12 hours, the last thing you want to do is wait over an hour at midnight on a room that you had already reserved and argue with someone about having a room available. They were not very friendly. All they kept saying is first come first serve, which made no sense to me.

    I really want to leave a positive response but I can’t. This place is a hot mess. They are completely understaffed and there is no real customer service. The toilet in our room didn’t work. The shower was horrible (no water pressure ). I’m not sure there is a better place in the area to stay but oh my goodness!! We were hesitant to use the toilet in our bathroom so we went to the lobby to go. In the lobby ladies room I found big dead roaches in both of the stalls I checked. Just don’t use this place for a while. Maybe they will take the hint and send help.

    I have never stayed at a hotel that was so loud before. Doors slamming all night and people walking up and down the hall yelling. The walls were so thin we could hear the rooms on both sides of us anytime someone talked. We stayed on the club floor (upgrade since our room was sold out) and did not expect that kind of experience. While the property was clean and the staff were great, we couldn’t sleep and wouldn’t stay here again.

    We checked in on 3.20.2026 that Saturday am around 631am we were woken out of our sleep due to a malfunction with the air system and I called front desk and they handled the situation immediately and moved us to a another room and offered us free breakfast and access to the 10th floor for food and beverages. I was pleased to see how quickly the situation was handled.

    Nice hotel. Elevator decor was very tired and worn but rest of hotel was in pretty good shape. Room service seemed to be non existent although it was advertised as having room service. We stayed two nights but our room was never refreshed. I asked specifically for someone to go in while we were out, but nothing was ever done. Had to call to get fresh towels. Breakfast buffet was very good and the service in the resteraunt was excellent.

    Nice hotel. Elevator decor was very tired and worn but rest of hotel was in pretty good shape. Room service seemed to be non existent although it was advertised as having room service. We stayed two nights but our room was never refreshed. I asked specifically for someone to go in while we were out, but nothing was ever done. Had to call to get fresh towels. Breakfast buffet was very good and the service in the resteraunt was excellent.

    The room we booked wasn’t ready when we arrived at 3:50PM and I was told it would be another hour before my room was ready. My wife is handicapped and we had been traveling all day so I asked for another room that was ready. Ice machine in the 9th floor was broken. I told the hotel staff on the day after check in. 5 days later it was still broken. Coffee cups weren’t resupplied every day. Shower is very slick. Unless I threw my wet towels on the floor, they weren’t replaced, so I thought I was being courteous laying them on the counter. The room was clean and despite being cold out, we enjoyed the balcony.

    The entire stay was a big mess. We booked the hotel because we were driving from GA to VA to attend a Supernatural Convention that was being held here. I assumed with it being part of Marriott, it would be a nice place to stay, especially because it was also very pricey. We prebooked a room, and upon arrival, we were informed that they did not have the room we booked available. We booked a harbor view room MONTHS in advance, and we were given a room with a view of the parking lot and roof. Frustrating. The elevators were tiny, old and so very slow. There was constantly a long line to get onto one, causing you to have to wait upwards of 10 minutes each time. And two of the elevators did not even go to the floor we were staying on, which was the 8th floor. This left you with two options, to get off on another floor and take the stairs, OR to get off on another floor, wait again for a different elevator and then go to the 8th floor. We were only there for 3 days, but the key cards we were provided stopped working 6-7 times, and each time we had to go down to the lobby, wait in line, and have a new key made. This happened to almost all of the other ppl who were staying here, and it was a huge mess. Due to the elevator issue, being locked out of our room over and over, and having to go up and down to the lobby to have keys remade and fixed, we ended up missing two of the panels at the convention that we had to pay a lot of money to attend, and they were once in a lifetime events.

    On check in, our room key failed 3 times. Staff said there were issues but repeatedly told myself and co-workers that it was fixed when it was not. I asked for another room on a floor that had less key card security and they failed to register me in the room. I slept in it and then couldnt get back in - if they had given away my room during the day, over 5000 worth of electronics and work equipment would have been compromised. The manager tried to help by giving us access to the lounge, but that key failed multiple times. The entire lobby was about 30 degrees cooler than normal, including the restaurant and the bar. Despite the restaurant being half full - it took 20 minutes to get water, 30 minutes to get a drink and our food was served lukewarm at best. Multiple grilled cheeses at a big table were served cold. The room keys continued to fail throughout the weekend. The manager did his best to be helpful but the women at the front desk were incredibly impatient and uncaring. For 750+ dollars for a stay Ive never seen a hotel fail so categorically at being able to provide people a warm and safe environment.

    My husband and I stayed at Norfolk Sheraton from 11/22 to 11/23. We were told that check-in was 4:00 p.m. We had arrived earlier to VA and asked if we could check in an hour earlier and was told that our room was not ready. The sheets were also dirty and we felt uncomfortable staying in the room because it wasn't cleaned properly. We plan on reaching out to Corporate because the hotel has not rectified this after a couple of emails.

    I would recommend looking at staffing with events taking place to help team. We, and other parties would have made you all much more sales. Several tables got up and left before any service was received. I can tell you last time we were here, July, bar and restaurant was excellent. Ty

    There is a seam in the front door where the double doors close together that you can see into the room and the lock could be a little more secure. Other than that, it was a nice room with a separate sleeping area, large living room with balcony.

    Good property in downtown Norfolk next to the harbor. Staff at front desk rectified a situation at check in and handled it very well. Gym is excellent, spacious with a lot of the state of the art equipment. Bar could use one more bartender than on duty but the 10th floor lounge is good. A tad outdated rooms and amenities but overall a good property when in Norfolk.

    there was a noise non stop all night that seemed to come from an adjacent wall. I called the front desk (from my cell phone because the room phone did not work), multiple times to ask them to look into it. They said they will check but nothing was done, and they did not bother contacting me back with an update. When I got outside of the corridor in the morning, I noticed my room was next to the service elevator, which was working all night. I paid for a room, to be up all night due to the terrible noise. The only person that apologized for it was the receptionist upon check out.

    Excellent accommodations. Every time I come to Norfolk and stay at the Sheraton I thoroughly enjoy myself. The room was clean. I had a great view and it was very quiet although there were a few festivals that were going on in the area this weekend. Sheraton is my go to.

    The faucet in the first room they gave us kept running. They moved us into another room the next day and the faucet didn’t work. We ended up checking out early and going somewhere else. For $300 a night I would expect the rooms to be in better shape. The manager and front desk employees were very professional though.

    Let me start by saying the staff was very helpful and very nice. As far as the hotel goes it needs some serious updating. The bathrooms were old and the elevators were dirty. My shampoo and body wash were empty even after they cleaned the room I had to call down and ask for more. The bathroom sink faucet was also loose. The lobby was nice, but for the price I expected for it to be updated.

    The hotel was very beautiful inside once you go through the doors. I will say the rooms are nice, however the bathroom is very tiny not spacious at all. I could open the bathroom door and it would touch the toilet. Also connecting rooms were a no for me and they seem to be a lot of them. Pricey breakfast, why am I paying for continental breakfast? Its a nice hotel just ultimately not what you would expect according to the photos.

    There needs to be more information regarding parking. There is valet parking in front otherwise you can self park in a garage. It is within walking distance, but no self parking is available at the hotel. Music was great, slight happy hour and the restaurant served delicious food. I was surprised the prices were reasonable until I seen the portion size and it made sense. Overall great experience for the price.

    Pluses and minuses. Our bathroom was so small, and toilet so small and low, you could believe that you were in a small mom & pop along a highway. Location on the water was nice, especially for the 4th of July fireworks. Parking was either a bit inconvenient to walk to and far from "included" at $31+ for 31 hours or pricier valet. Largest hotel gym we've seen, but very hot, and there were no towels or wipes (and we used their system to message housekeeping for supplies). Coffee was hard to come by. ... Lots of little things but the price was not little at all!!

    I enjoy everything about this hotel. The staff was very professional very helpful and personalities were amazing. The only thing I can say that was kind of iffy with the parking cause you don’t have to valet park which caused extra money or park in the garage which I didn’t think was that close to the hotel Which cost money as well. I really didn’t want to spend the money on valet parking but because I was there for an event outside of the hotel and I knew I’ll be coming back late so I went on and paid the fee and it was convenient as well. But other than that, everything else was amazing and I will highly recommend it The food was delicious. Clean rooms. I was just very satisfied because I’m very picky.

    Nicest staff I have ever encountered. We landed early from our flight and they held our luggage for free. We left on a cruise from Norfolk the next day, and we were able to walk directly to the port which was very convenient. There are many restaurants and activities to do in walkable distance as well. 10/10 recommend!

    I had left some of my property in a Lyft after a horrendous day of traveling, including my phone. The front desk manager was so unbelievably amenable, and helped to make sure that everything got returned and was kept safe behind the front desk until I returned after an obligation the next day! The entire staff in general were polite and obliging, the restaurant was delicious, the view was spectacular. 10/10 would stay again.

    Big ‘thumbs Up ‘ to English, our server in the dining area who was Fantastic! Her pleasant personality & kindness were so refreshing. She truly is a huge Plus in making guests feel welcome . We appreciate her top level of service which made our visit more enjoyable. We also enjoyed our meals. The food was very tasty & I was pleasantly surprised at the short wait time after ordering. *I definitely think the desk staff should inform guests when checking in about the parking lot situation.     The door leading to waterfront was locked from outside. Extremely inconvenient to walk all the way around outside of building to front. Two employees didn't know why the keycard feature didn't work. The bar was out of many wines that were ordered. Fan in bathroom not working. Stains on bathroom ceiling. Employees were friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We were contacted when we could check in early. The view was great.

    First off if you go down town which is a bock or so away it smell of urine. The entire hotel needs a face lift. It reminds you of a low quality hotel that should cost 69.99 a night. Instead I paid over 200.00 and it should be upscale like the Hilton. I misread the breakfast and it is 18.99 a person and the hotels with free breakfast is better. I would not suggest this hotel to anyone for the price you pay.

    Check in time was 4:00pm, room was not ready until 5:30pm after following up with the staff three times. Following, the room did not have AC and was not clean despite having to wait an extra hour and a half for them to "clean". The duvet had various stains all over it and the mini fridge did not work. They did not provide any body wash and gave hand soap bars when requested for the toilet trees to be filled. Would not go back here.

    I would never stay in this hotel again, The carpets in the room were old and dirty looking. The bathroom was dated with fixtures that were falling apart. They only leave 1 wash cloth in the room.     The stay here was very pleasant. Everyone was nice and professional. The only thing that I had a complaint about is my partner and I decided to have breakfast in our room so we ordered room service. The food was on time and hot. When we unpacked the food to eat, we had no utensils or any salt, pepper, butter or jelly in which we had asked for. So we are in our night clothes getting ready to eat breakfast with no utensils or other needed items. So I had to get dressed and go downstairs anyway to get those items. But other than that the stay was great. And by the way the room service was $61 but well worth it but we had nothing to eat our food with.

    Amazing hotel to stay! The staff is extremely hospitable and go out of the way to make people happy. The live music in the lobby from time to time was really neat and the complimentary foods and drink that they put in the lobby were extremely nice as well. It was amazing over all! Besides the paid parking which is to be expected in cities. I must have missed that when booking but it wasn’t very expensive because we walked to most places from the hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

    I was surprised to see how damaged the room was. We were given a free upgrade to a harbor view rather than city view, which was nice for the water view however, the bath tub was so old we didn’t want to use it, the bed frame and white pain all over it and the pictures hanging on the wall were peeling. The chair and pillow in the room looked like someone had been living in it. While these things didn’t effect our quality of stay, when you stay at a Sheraton and have a pretty price tag, I would expect the room to reflect that.
