    This hotel was dirty and not maintained at all. We found a half eaten burger behind the bed. Everything was so dirty including the entrance of the hotel. The fact they charge $250 is a slap in the face considering the state of the hotel. Please do not waste your money at this hotel.

    Great location which is right off the highway. The room had a very bad smell. When we arrived at our room it had a weird smell. It smelled like dirty wet carpet. The smell remained even after I sprayed deodorizer. There was no remote for the tv.

    The location was ok The location was great but the fact that is smelled only of weed was horrendous. Especially with small kids. When we got to the room we discovered the sheets were dirty and stained. The drain was clogged and you could see hair coming out. When we asked the front desk to get our sheets changed we were met with sassiness and an unwillingness to do the most basic thing there. So we asked to have our stay voided and we went somewhere else. Which was followed up by arguing and telling me we can’t get any money back. I don’t know who that lady was but she doesn’t need to work in an industry where is relies on customer service. She is not good at her job.

    BEWARE: PLEASE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE. This hotel is dirty and poorly managed. Expired milk at breakfast, hallway and room smelled like weed, cockroaches, dirty sheets, clogged drain, key doesn't work for pool or fitness center...I could go on and on. Take your hard earned money elsewhere!

    I thought Virginia was supposed to be a Southern state but Southern hospitality was missing at this place. Perhaps they just had a dry sense of humor. While the location is convenient, the hotel could use some updating. The breakfast was lacking and they only clean rooms every three days. I think I'll stay elsewhere.

    That the room was clean and didn't smell. It was close to our destination. The service was not pleasant. No smiles or happy attitude. Sometimes the desk was completely abandoned. There's no restaurant. There's no local directories of attractions or restaurants in the room. No phone book. Some of us out here in the world still don't have a smartphone. Last time I checked the yellow pages was still a free book and how inconvenient is it to put a small binder in the room with menus for local restaurants? One of the outlets didn't work where the coffee pot was, had to move it. The streaming box was unplugged when we got there. I don't understand why this hotel room was $300+ per night. It was NOT worth that much. $150 at most which is where it was not too long ago.

    Good location and friendly male front desk attendant. The refrigerator in my room was broken when I got there. I informed the lady at the front desk and she stated that there is no maintenance there but will put a not for it to get fixed. I had medication and baby milk that needed to stay cool is the reason I needed the refrigerator. My entire time I stayed I never got a new refrigerator and had to keep filling the ice bucket up with ice in order to keep the medication and milk cool. Aldo didn’t get any room service for new towels.

    I did leave a message for the manager about the cleanliness of the room. Further the water in the sink was a trickle so I couldn’t even shave or thoroughly wash my hands. I shouldn’t have stayed there and I should receive a full refund from Expedia.

    Comforters, pillows, and towels were visibly dirty. I had to run to target to purchase towels an cleaning supplies for the bathroom. The air conditioner didn’t work. Staff came fixed air conditioner right away an gave freshly washed bedding. However some stuff just should be automatic like clean bedding an towels. Breakfast was delicious a location of hotel was literally close to shopping centers restaurants a Chrysler hall.pool was murky so we passed that activity. Overall decent stay because the staff was very helpful, breakfast was good, and the location of hotel was amazing cause it was close to the shopping outlets. I would stay again

    We were assigned from 314. My son was in 312. We turned off our nightlight and turned it back on and lost all the power on 1/2 of the room the night Desk person had no clue how to handle things and was extreme in his gestures when he got frustrated. Eventually, after about 45 minutes, he moved us to room 310. My son was in 312 and they had trash and other items all over the room like it hadn’t been cleaned. We were definitely displeased with our stay and disappointed as we usually can rely on the La Quinta name. Checking out we mentioned the electrical issue to the front desk staff and there was no note made of it anywhere by the previous night staff. It’s concerning that there’s an electrical issue that was not investigated and that could be a extreme safety issue.

    The staff was super nice and friendly. The room especially the bathroom was horrible. There was mold on the shower curtain. The cover for the shower head was off and you could see in plumbing behind the wall. The hallways reeked of weed even though there are signs stating not to smoke on the property. I will not be staying at any LaQuinta after this stay.

    The room wasn’t clean s prior to my arrival. The sheets looked as if the bed was made but not changed from previous guest. I reached out to the property manager that the front desk had displayed however no return call. The attendant 1st thing mentioned after my complaint that she did not have any other rooms, I asked for clean sheets and changed the bedding myself.     The price and location is what drew me to this hotel. The common areas seemed very clean and well kept and it has decent amenities including free breakfast. The only thing it was missing was an airport shuttle. However, I didn’t actually get to stay in this hotel. I arrived after midnight after an extremely long day of travel and the only room they had left had what appeared to be some sort of cleaning material all over the carpet in the room smelled like wet dog and vomit. The fact that the key cards would not open the door even after they reprogrammed them several times, and only the manager’s key card would open the door should’ve been an indication that the room was not read available for use, but it had never been notated in their system that it was not available. The front desk staff was very friendly and worked to help me find another hotel, but I should’ve never had to have been in that position to begin with.

    There's no airport shuttle. The staff was very nice. Cleanliness was below average. The bed was very clean and comfortable. Out bathroom had tile that hadn't been properly cleaned for some time. The shower needed some upkeep. The hall smelled like smoke. The elevators hasn't been cleaned in awhile, this should be easy to properly clean daily. For the full price of $146, i definitely over payed. I won't be staying here again. I will say that the place did feel safe.

    The staff at this location is excellent; friendly, professional. The room was nice; plenty of space, bed was comfy, safe in the room, ironing board and iron, clean. The amenities were great; the grandkids enjoyed the pool, there's a gym, and free breakfast was offered, but we had to cut our stay short because one of the grands got sick. The only real issues that i can note are that the shower curtain wouldn't close, so we flooded the bathroom floor quite a bit when we showered, the fridge was uneven and not very cold and i was unable to locate the dial to turn it down, and it would've been nice if we could've opened the window because it was a very nice day. Overall, the grandkids and i give it an 8.5/10.

    The front desk person when I checked in and when I checked out were very friendly. When I got to my floor, the hallway smelled like animal urine. I got into my room and it wasn't as prevalent in there so I thought I would be able to endure since I was just in town on a quick presentation trip. Upon further review of the room, it was clear that the housekeeping staff had not cleaned it well. I wiped down surface areas myself and they were very dirty. Additionally the tub was filled with someone else's hair and the toilet and walls had debris on them and the floor was very sticky. When it was time to go to bed, the environment was quite loud. Lots of transient traffic. I went down at 3:00 in the morning to try to get some assistance from the front desk, as the room phone was broken. The person then launched at me from behind the counter being frustrated that many people had asked him to move on a night where the hotel was full. I decided just to stay up and get ready for my conference with the plan of exiting the next morning. Kim was the woman I talked to who wrote my concerns down and was apologetic. I am concerned though that the night person supposedly has dementia. I am truly grateful I had the means to be able to find a nicer hotel in Virginia Beach, but the lack of cleanliness in the hallways, the elevator, etc. was truly disappointing. The hotels.com agent was great and getting most of my money back for that experience. I will never stay there again!

    Kim was wonderful at front desk. I wasn’t happy the housekeeper opens my door, with the don’t disturb sign put out, and then knocks as she yells in at 10:10am (prior to checkout). I yelled over, because I was not dressed, that I’m staying another night and I have paid. She comes back 5 minutes later and opens it again without knocking and yelled in the door, so whole hall can hear, that I HAVE NOT PAID and I need to do so. She was wrong and I had. This is after elevator breaking, move from Wheelchair room to one that has scraped up my steering parts on my chair ($900 chair I just bought! ) and a roach. Still had to pay for the two extra nights I needed. Kim was great and a couple of her staff made the rate go from 1. A discount or something. I can’t even shower. Sponge bath only. Stayed 4 nights.

    Elevator broke and they wouldn’t fix it right away. Took me from a nice king handicap room (in wheelchair), on 4th floor to one on bottom floor I could not move in. It wasn’t staff fault. They did what they could do. Then saw a roach on dresser and killed it. I’ve stayed on 4tg floor before and loved it. This stay not as happy for sure.

    My kids and I travel all over the country from tennis tournaments/ training and we travel the world often. We are in VA beach constantly. We are elite and diamond Marriot and Hilton members. Made this big mistake of booking a Wyndham hotel on a whim. Never again - and shame on Expedia for even promoting them to me. Expecting a mother to find a new hotel with her two young kids (who trained all day) at 7pm at night, makes this hotel employee (Amanda I think her name is), a cold-hearted person that has no place in the customer service industry.     The room was not clean upon arrival around 8pm. My only options were to leave and get refunded or it had to be cleaned, luckily there was an employee decorating that night that cleaned it all. Water marks on the walls in the bathroom, dust on headboard, old cups beside the bed, stained towels, baseboards thick dust, carpet stainssafe didn't work, ran out of decaf, creamer, milk and cereal, elevator for dirty, con webs on ceiling, mold on shower floor.     We had a nice stay. Only one hic-up. Our TV didn't work. The staff was very nice and tried to get it to work, but were not able to do so.     My stay was okay. I had two beds and when i turned the sheets back i could immediately see stains on them & i then noticed the dirty place where whoever slept there before had laid. I could tell they didn't change the sheets on the bed from the last person. Good thing my other bed was clean 3it was just me. The lighting is poor so for someone else it may have been easily overlooked but wit my phone flashlight it was easy to see.

    My room was not clean there was dog poop under the bed. The room had a funny smell that’s why I started looking around and found the poop. The front desk lady was so nice and she changed my room. The next room was a little bit cleaner. But under the bed was not clean. Old cups and food wrapper was found under the beds. But no poop. The pool was closed around 7pm. Don’t know why.

    We stayed at this hotel in a bind when our other option fell through on us. It was comfortable and decent, and the price was good. The only problem we had was they did not have availability for the remainder of our trip so we had to find somewhere else to go, but that was only because it was a holiday weekend. Would definitely stay here again.

    The property was really good compared to others I've can across in Virginia.. I had a basic 2 bed room.. I cannot complain I saw people cleaning everyday.. The place is pretty friendly and the continental breakfast was nice.. Indoor pool was standard but nice to have.. I'll stay again for sure.

    I advised that my room wasn’t as advertised on the expedia website. I was told the room I wanted was sold out. My tv also didn’t work the entire time. The manager came in and tried to fix it but it didn’t work. He advised me to contact expedia for a refund.

    The hotel was very dirty, almost as if it hadn’t been cleaned prior to us arriving. The shower curtain had mold, the wallls had throw up or something on them, and random hairs found when drying myself with a “clean towel” after showering. The front desk was not helpful whatsoever, I asked for a key to our room he denied me of it but gave me new towels and a shower curtain to put up myself. Definitely won’t be staying here again.

    The front desk staff was not the most professional. Customer service, let alone providing “good” customer service, was not an objective for them. They treated us as if we were an inconvenience. There were not enough towels upon our arrival. It was expressed that they come prepared for such instances and bring their own when they’re traveling. Considering the circumstances we were traveling under (bereavement) and the distance we’d driven (13hrs) there is NO excuse for not having towels available for a check in that identified 4 people would be in the room. Independent of the circumstances, as a PAYING guest, we should not have been denied the BASICS that come with renting a room. Not only did we have to find another means of bathing or wait until the following morning after a 13hour drive, they weren’t even apologetic and a concession wasn’t even a consideration. When we did receive towels, a few were stained and appeared unclean and when asked to swap them out, it was another expression of annoyance from the front desk staff. The cleanliness of the hotel was poor, at best. Curtains were terribly soiled and there was so much build up around the grout areas of the bathroom floor from a lack of proper cleaning I didn’t even feel comfortable removing my shoes. This was a very bad lodging experience and not what I would expect from a Wyndham property. I’m hoping to give them another chance at another location because I will NEVER return to the NORFOLK one!

    The rooms were relatively clean. Our room was on the fourth floor facing the street. We could hear every car and truck that drove past. The breakfast area was small but adequate. Food was good. The only thing I was uncomfortable with was the fact that there were homeless people walking in and getting food and using the bathrooms.

    My mom came in from Florida for my nephews graduation. My sister took her to go checkin the room we got for her and my stepdad so they could get some rest. I was on FT at the time of CI. The front desk older lady with blonde hair was antagonistic and aggressive. So we ended up dealing with the gentleman. Although he was a bit more pleasant he still was passive. He placed my mom in a room that had a dirty tub and roaches. We asked him for another room. This one had dirty sheets and tubs along with soap in the tubs.

    Everything was great. Only thing I didn’t like was that breakfast ends at 9 am. I think it should be end 10 am. Also, it would be nice if they tell you about the breakfast time and password for WIFI (non was required). They were busy I realize.

    The pool was too shallow. I love that it's there but 4'6" isn't exactly... It doesn't do it. I had an encounter with one roach in my room. In released it outside and didn't see anymore in my room but please keep an eye out on those pests.

    Stayed for football tournament and other then location being convenient to places it was a nightmare! Absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at to start let see the ladies at the front desk very unpleasant no hi hello how can i help you nothing other then stating she needed a card for deposit that was it. There is only 1 elevator that definitely needs maintenance update and the the pool is disgusting my 6yr old loves to swim and she is the reason I always get a place with a pool took her to try and swim during our stay and she immediately looked at me and said mommy im not getting in there its nasty and it Absolutely was.. As for the rooms where to begin.... rust all in the shower handle in the shower was broke .. curtins were filthy sheets definitely do not get washed properly thank god we brought blanks and pillow cases the refrigerator in the room did not work just leaks water we ended up having to waste so much food because we had no way to keep it cold and the HUGE ISSUE WAS AT 2AM A ROACH WAS IN MY BED!!!
