Nothing is a hassle here. The parking isnt a hassle. Checking isn't a hassle. Rooms are always on point. Love the art, the restaurants and the gym. The scenery looks good the people look good. This is my go to place when I want this crash in norfolk.

The room was terrific and we love all the public spaces. Our only disappointment was that our room wasn't serviced daily even though we asked for it to be.

The hotel was decorated beautifully. The bedding was very comfortable. The availability of food within walking distance was amazing. The only thing that would tear me from staying again is that there’s no free breakfast in the mornings for the amount of money it cost to stay there there’s no coffee available at any given time except for in your room and it wasn’t that good of coffee.

It was in a good location, it was clean and fancy. The river view was amazing The only thing I would say is that in my room, it was really cold even though I had the temperature on heat at the highest temperature. I did contact reception and they sent someone over but it was never fixed. Other than that everything was perfect

The property was amazing. Pictures do it no justice. Loved the location, views, and everything the hotel had to offer.

We were on the 11th floor, and the loud music from one of the restaurants kept us up until midnight on a Saturday night. Staff certainly offered to move rooms, but we ended up staying. Just something to keep in mind. We ate at the Grain inside, and the burgers and wedges were amazing. The inside of the place was great. Two other restaurants were there and also looked spectacular. Would stay again.

The hotel was so close to the cruise port. Great place to stay if you are going on a cruise.

The room ( my goodness) stunning! and the view of the city was amazing! 10/10 would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a getaway whether it’s a family vacation or just a mini staycation, The Main is certainly the place to stay!

Paige- front desk- so attentive!!! Room was lovely!!! We sent an email with pic to Rooms Mgr that my foot found a needle/pin on carpet (no injury). Received no reply. Acknowledgement, at the very least, is professional and expected.

The property is beautiful and beautifully maintained . The staff was super friendly and professional. All of the restaurants were superb. Saltine for happy hour ( James and Kareem were great) and grain is always the best brunch!!

First, it wasn’t really the room I thought I was getting, the pic didn’t line up to what I got, then, I didn’t know you get charged for parking and I feel like that should be included in the price for how much I’m paying for it. I’ve never heard a hotel charging their guest to park in their establishment. This was a surprise stay for my husband for his birthday on New Years, because he heard of this hotel and thought it would be nice and I told him it was since I’ve stayed here before for my birthday years ago and celebrated a friend’s birthday there before. Also, we didn’t have breakfast there because I believe it’s another charge to do so. For the amount I’m paying I could have just got a resort stay at the oceanfront at VA Beach for less but that’s on me. Also, the blanket had a blood stain on it, the blinds in the room were so difficult to pull down for privacy and back again when we wanted to see the view; felt like they were going to break and would hurt my hand from straining. Even the mini fridge seemed like it didn’t work, didn’t keep none of our stuff really cold and last but not least, for a high value hotel, and now being 2026, why we don’t have microwaves in the rooms, then you send a young lady to bring it and not a man, that’s crazy…The only nice part was the view, that I had to pay for and the Christmas decorations, oh and also the guy who checked me in, sorry I forgot his name but he was great

We’ve stayed here three times already and we really love it. The location is excellent, and having convenient restaurants inside the hotel makes everything so easy. I have to say, this was the best Hilton i have ever stayed at. The service was great, the hotel was super clean, the hotel was decorated for Christmas, the restaurants food and drinks were great, and everyone had a smile on their face. I would definitely stay here again.

As usual, the Main did not disappoint. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the staff maintained a high level of professionalism throughout my stay. Our ship out of the cruise port that is right next store was delayed they allowed us late check out and stored our luggage so we could walk around until we could board pur ship. Also for those cruising it is a quick walk to the cruise port no driving needed

We were close enough to walk to the sights and restaurants we wanted to see (boat ride on river, museum, battleship.) very pleasant trip!

The Main is a very beautiful, luxurious hotel. Every staff member we came in contact with were so welcoming. The restaurant on the first floor’s restaurant, Saltine has amazing food, excellent service and very pleasant staff. Definitely a 5 star restaurant! I also have found the rooms are very comfortable and clean!

Layr night food and partying was what I needed. I love the comfort of the bed? It was hard for me to get up The bed alone wrapped me up. I love the view from my room. I felt like I needed another day. My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to my next stay.

The staff was very nice and went out of their way to give us a room that had a view and wasn’t too close to the bar that stayed open until 2:00am. I felt bad using a wash cloth to remove my makeup but didn’t have a make up wipe available.

The hotel was great with a lot of amenities and food options. Didn’t have to leave the hotel for much if you didn’t want to. The only con was we tried using the phone app for our key card and it worked the first time and then never again so that was frustrating having to go back downstairs late at night after the wedding we were at to get a key card to get into our room.

Great location near the water and within walking distance. Nice amenities including the pool. Rooms not as nice as they should have been considering it was a $400 room. Nice restaurants and bar.

The room was nice and comfortable but the dining for us was limited, very noisy, and staff was limited to order

The hotel is beautifully set in downtown Norfolk and some of the views are simply breathtaking. But there are some signs of wear and tear on the once-new building that need to be addressed. My door looked like someone attempted to break in previously and the wall paper is aging.

Front desk supervisor was not focused on individual customer . While waiting on me she kept stopping doing other things!!

The hotel has a wonderful view of the Bay. It was so nice to have other selections available for dinner. We enjoyed the Flaming Tiramisu at the Varia! A must to enjoy!!

Very comfortable clean room. You could not hear through the walls or people in the hallway either so it was extremely quiet our entire stay the staff was friendly and enjoyed the breakfast and dinner is there.!

Downside was there was a questionable stain on the couch. Visited the Saltine Restaurant for food and drinks .. Drinks we good but the food was just ok ( it didn’t have much flavor or lack of seasoning) I had the crab cakes and my Husband had a steak and potatoes and it really lacked flavor so i wouldn’t recommend Also tried the Grain on our second night and the atmosphere was good as well as the drinks. They also have a live band and dancing.

Jessica the front desk manager was super understanding of our accommodation requests and gave us exactly whatbwe needed to make out stay a great experience.

God Bless the property it self was nice they just need to get a Better inspector that goes behind house keeping we there for one night my wife wanted me to make a big fuss about it we cleaned it ourselves for the first time in my life and just didn’t leave a tip.overall the property was nice 2 👍👍 up for Kody at front desk very polite and helpful.

The bed & pillows were so hard, I couldn't sleep on the pillows, purchased my own. The shade was so thin my room was too lite from the buildings & street lights. All of this made sleeping difficult for 4 nights. The comforter wasn't that fliffy/thick one that I'd enjoyed on previous stays, it was old, lumpy & thin. This room was no where near the awesome rooms I've enjoyed so much in the past nor what it cost!!

The Christmas decorations made it feel like a true winter weekend away. The restaurant saltine was amazing and service is great staff knows their menu well!! The ladies that work the front desk are so kind and helpful. Parking is easy as they have their own garage attached to the lobby. Very nice stay! Clean room and clean hotel

It was disappointing

I really liked the hotel ;however , the only issue we had was the elevator services. The waits were long because there are different sets of elevators you have to use in order to get to the rooms. People were getting frustrated and crowding the hotels which is not safe .

Our experience at this hotel was absolutely outstanding! Every employee we came in contact with was courteous, cheerful and helpful. Our room was exceptionally clean and the food at The Grain Restaurant was very good. We are already planning to visit the Norfolk area again this fall and we certainly stay at this hotel.
