Experience overall horrible. Hospital lacked luster. Paid Wi-Fi was limited. Wi-Fi expired frequently causing data breaches, failed payments captures got new reservations, etc. go without washing sheet recycled sherts. Noticed same dirt dust & dander in same spots. Inconvenient housekeepers. nuance of times before check out they knock on door.

the room size the staff was very rude. they didn't care if they knocked at 10:25 am to ask if you were leaving or staying..... they would even bust into your room if you didn't answer their knock

No issues with bugs, which I really appreciate. It’s a reliable option for me. Over longer stays in the same room, I noticed lingering dust that can trigger allergies. Some surfaces seem to get missed during routine cleanings. There are light, lingering odors that stay in the room over time. The check-out/check-in by the day for consecutive nights can be inconvenient due to the 11 am check oht policy.

Nothing It was four people in our room and we only was offered two towels. We couldn’t get our own towels. Our keys kept not working. They had my name wrong. The microwave wasn’t working there was mold in the bathroom above the shower

They took the money out of our account before we got to the motel. When we got there it was deserted. Nobody there. We called our back and said it was fraud. We contacted Booking.com and customer service said there was no record of the transaction!

The room was huge and the shower was huge. This place was set up nicely. Right across the street from the beach. Some parts of the room needed more cleaning attention. The big mirror in the room part was very dirty. The bed was clean and the bathroom parts were clean it was just mainly extra stuff in the room needed attention. Such a cute room to not be detail clean.

The beach across the street was enjoyable The owners are terrible people they are very prejudiced they will have you sign in and then they will throw you off the property for nothing at all . They will not give you a refund nor explain to you why they will only threaten to call the cops. My fiance and I were there almost a week next thing I know someone's banging on our door to almost to get out we have done nothing wrong we stay to ourselves not only to me did they do this but to other people I watch them terrible terrible I recommend nobody to go there if you do it's all on your own don't say you weren't worn

Everything about that place random people coming up an asking for money an things ECT, the floors were absolutely disgusting got a shower an walked around the room for 2 minutes an my feet were black an sticky. All around not cleaning at all never again I will stay there don't even know how they are still around if a government cleaning inspection ever came about they would be shut down

Basic motel across the street from Ocean View beach. Recently renovated. Perfect for a short stay in town to visit family.

It wasn't to far from the beach, all you had to do was walk out of the hotel cross the street find an area between the houses cut across to walk to beach easy peasy. Decent price, beds were decent pillows were comfy. Although stove didn't work, cabinet door fell off, toilet needed to be glued to floor felt like and needs an electrician bad... stayed in room 114.

Beach was nearby. Price gouged for holiday weekend. Just an avg. 2 star motel.

We enjoyed our stay. I just didn’t like how they said it was oceanfront because it’s not the ocean is across the street.

Nice low key and inexpensive place to stay in Tidewater. When my initial reservation was abruptly cancelled by another establishment I drove down shore drive and saved sixty dollars a night. It’s certainly not luxury accommodations but a good convenient play to rest.

No breakfast and no even coffee or drink water in the lobby or in the room. The vending machines were almost empty and not working. You have to go a mile to the nearest shopping center to get anything. Overpriced, for the asking price they could provide at least coffee!

The rooms were fair. Very few amenities If you’re just looking for a place that’s not overpriced for one night it’s ok. But other than I would look at the other hotels and pay more if I’m on vacation.

The Express Inn fit my profile.Quiet,clean and a reasonable price.I ignored the previous reviews and found it to be the exact opposite. My next visit in September will include the Express Inn.

There was a hole in the wall, the walls needed painting and were all scratched. The air conditioner was so dirty that we were afraid to turn it on. There sign said $59 a night but I paid $200. There was no WIFI and they told it was a problem with my and my wife's IPad. We could't wait to get out of this flee bag hotel. I think I should get a refund and you should not be representing Hotels like this horrible hotel. Please email me with your response

No lobby opened. Spoke though a window. Room was not cleaned. Was there for 2 nights and never had maid service. Power was out for a entire night and following day ! Claimed to have ocean view. Only if you peaked between 2 building.

It was an ok stay, if your just planning to stay one night and just sleep…. The thing that really got me was the tv was in dang Spanish, the hardwood floors, couldn’t close bathroom door while using it, and one of the light kept cutting on and off….. but staff were friendly and area was ok. It’s not right in beach, you have to walk there, but it’s right across the street…

I don’t know where to start, check in when wrong, paid for the wrong amount but fixed next day. A couple fight woke me up. Room services never clean the room during my stayed. In the shower the curtains had mildew and the room smelled like old; I don’t even know how to describe it. The best part was returning my keys when I left.

The price was very reasonable,you can say you got what you paid for but the contact could be better .

The room was not very clean, the key lock didn't work. every time we left the room we had to go back to the office to get the card to work again

There were little drug addicts and prostitutes in the rooms surrounding us. Our room WREAKED of cigarettes and I was scared to even sit on the bed. We left 2 hours after checking in. This should have been a $30 a night or pay by the hour type motel.

If your claustrophobic do not go there.(had a room w/and without) no window just in some rooms and even with the windows it feels like you’re in a closet feels like Suffocating couldn’t sleep AC,s are to loud. They make u wear a mask even with a glass In between. Never again

Motel needs updates and Cleaning

The room was as expected for the price and the reviews, however the door frame was loose and damaged and it was evident that it had been kicked in at some point. I politely asked for another room, the clerk told me that there was nothing wrong with the door (without looking at it). I moved my things to a new room and then found that the dead bolt would not lock. Like there was not even a hole in the frame for it to latch into. So after being in two rooms that didn’t lock I felt unsafe and called hotels.com to ask for a refund and was then very obviously video taped by the clerk while he processed the refund. He stood there taking selfies with me very clearly in the background and recording. When I asked why he felt it was necessary to photograph me he simply said, “I’m not.” I’m thankful that I was able to receive a refund and stay elsewhere. I travel 75% of the year for work and typically stay at low star/inexpensive hotels and have never been so uncomfortable. This is the first time in 12 years of traveling that I have ever taken the time to write a review. I would recommend seeking accommodations elsewhere.

Woke up with bedbug bites. The bed had two mattresses on it and kept sliding around on the homemade platform. Tiles on floor in bathroom were loose. We stayed away all day and most of the night, so we only got ready and slept there. The location was convenient, steps from the beach. That was the main reason for staying at this location. It was also very quiet there, besides the police inspecting numerous rooms at 8:00 am in the morning

The woman who runs the place is nice. Why is the Frig and microwave in the bathroom? The heater works.

There was dried pee on the toilet seat. It was a late check in, otherwise I would have had them change our room. People loitering outside our door, outdated room.

The bed was comfortable, the sheets clean, and the staff super friendly!

The refrigerator and microwave were in the bathroom! Who does that?! Express Inn! The shower head was nasty. Had to buy products to try to clean it. The sink leaked water on the floor. There was nowhere to hang up clothes.

Everyone was very helpful and nice. It was a block away from part of the beach. We had a great family vacation thanks to express inn!

Room smelled bad, bathtub needed a good cleaning, beds very uncomfortable, pillows were flat. Morning clerk was rude. Will not stay here again.

It was a block from where my son lives and it was easy to walk to his place or across the road to the beach..

The staff was nice and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy. The room smelled, most of the outlets didn’t work (we were given a surge protector), the ceiling tiles were dirty and looked like they were gonna fall, there isn’t an ocean view. I would not stay here again.

The place is old, but clean. Plenty of furniture to use. The sides of the mattress were broken, so unless I got to the middle, I slipped off the bed. The location is close to the road And it is quite busy and has a lot of noise.

2) They never cleaned my room in 3 days. 3) The towels were basically dish rags and the guy changing them didn't even knock before trying to enter the room. Then he proceeded to stare through the window at me until I opened the door for him - super creepy. 4) The walls have multiple areas where drywall is crumbling. The carpet hadn't been thoroughly vacuumed in most areas. Run far away and don't waste your money here. A number of other cost effective options on that strip of road.

The outside doesn’t looks all that great. But the room is nice. And great bed to sleep on and your right across the street from the beach!

I checked in at 3pm and I could not even go into the lobby.. the woman pointed to the “security window”. While I was checking in the woman asked will this be cash ? ( the whole time I am thinking OMG what kind of motel is this ) once I got the key card ( which appeared this card was the only card to the room ( old sticker on the card with the room number ) .. once in the room it was horror!! So dirty and so outdated !! It was bad !! ... the only thing I could think about was I should of paid more and went to another hotel ..

Terrible room with roaches

Run down would be an upgrade for this hotel. Walls peeling, Stains in the shower, shower gross. Took a shower and it made me feel like I needed a shower. I guess it's true, you get what you pay for. Could hear the people upstairs walking early morning. ITS A GREAT BIG NOPE FOR ME

Need a courteous front desk service. Receptionist needs a lot of training. Yelling at other customers or employees is never a good idea in front of other customers. Rooms needs complete renovation. Fridge needs to be replaced.

They stated that my card was declined and gave my Toom to someone else yet I called bank and no attempts were made to use my card. Money was alway in the bank and way more than that. I am getting a little suspicious that they did this on purpose to charge customers later and still sell rooms for higher price as they have a no refund policy.

This is by far the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at. I was going to stay for an overnight beach trip with my best friend but the hotel was so disgusting and sketchy that we couldn't stay. The room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, the front door could barely lock, there was mold growing on the bathroom floor. It was disgusting and I am honestly surprised it hasn't been shut down as one giant health code violation. When we arrived and checked in at noon, we just did the paperwork and went straight to the beach since it was only a day trip. It wasn't until we came back and actually went in the room around 6:30p that we realized how disgusting it was. I went to the front desk to let them know we didn't feel safe and couldn't stay and the managers immediately got an attitude with me and said that we only had 15 mins to decide that we were going to check out per there policy and that since we didn't come back until later in the day, that there could be no refund. I told him that I was willing to pay the hours that we were there but that it wasn't fair to charge for an entire night when we couldn't stay. The cigarette stench was so thick and strong that you couldn't breathe in that room! They were so rude and did not care how we felt about the place. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

The room was nice and warm from the heat ,yet door had a draft, and furniture was starting to peel off. So the way I looked at it was an experience.
