So close to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. The rooms are extremely convenient with full kitchens, office, and a fold out couch. So much room. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. No complaints.

Close to beach, restaurants and shopping.

The breakfast was just ok but the property was very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was helpful and nice. We were able to use the pool and hot tub.

For us, everything was perfect.. The orange juice wasn’t good.

Breakfast had waffles makers, however few fruits and yogurts, no bacon and only boiled eggs. Could be a good hotel, but has bad management.

Update as it was hours later. She personally went up to my room and changed everything for me with no questions asked. Amazing employee. She made the stay a lot more comfortable. 10/10 for Amber. I will definitely return.

My husband had breakfast. I think he enjoyed it and felt like the selection was decent. I love the lotion and body wash. The pillows were also quite nice. The bathroom had pink gunk in the corners of the shower. There was random trash pieces in the floor. Logging into Wifi was a bit tedious and seemed unnecessarily difficult. The rust on the bathroom light fixture cheapens the look considerably.

The location is great. Next to wawa, close to beach and downtown. It was quiet and ac worked well. Nice that it has a full fridge and kitchenette. The floor in our room was incredibly dirty. I walk around in my socks and they quickly turned black on the bottom. That’s pretty gross. The water is extremely soft.

The rooms were spacious.The hotel is pet friendly.The front staff was friendly but the head cleaning staff not so. The desk clerk was kind enough to offer early check in ,gave us a room key,when we got to the room it turned out not to be ready yet .We returned asking for the other available room .The front staff asked the person in charge about it since the room was checked as finished and she was not forthcoming so I mentioned that it is not ready and the staff are still cleaning the room. The older person which seemed to be the supervisor got hostile and said she doesn’t have to give us a room anyway.

We spent the day at Venice beach and I was looking for a place to stay near by, before heading home.

We had a great stay here for spring break. It’s in a great convenient location close to the beach. The staff was very friendly. Amber especially was super friendly and helpful our entire stay. The breakfast was great and better than I had expected. The hotel was clean and the pool and patio area was excellent.

I had a cockroach in my room??? Also… the second lock that is supposed to be attached to the wall that keeps the door extra secure was missing. That made me very nervous when I slept at night. I had to place dishes in front of the door in case someone tried to unlock the door from the outside. When I tried to use the gym… a man came in after me and got on the treadmill for 2 minutes… then sat on the chair next to the laundry room that faces the gym and stared at me while I worked out. That very chair is next to the door to the lobby… so I was uncomfortable and a little nervous when I left because I had to pass him within a foot of the door. I have to imagine you have cameras in there. If you see a man sitting and watching a woman workout… someone from your staff should have come in??? It’s not right that someone can sit there and not work out… you might want to place the chair inside the laundry area… it made me very uncomfortable.

The room had a musty smell. The shower had soap scum and mold stains on the borders and corners. It even had had hair on the shower floor. I have been to many other hotels and i have never seen that in any of them.

The room had a musty order. I had to go buy candles. The room I paid for was a king and the bed was a queen. I went to verify with front desk and they assured me it was a king. They never bothered to come and check. I asked for a pillow to be sent 3 times. The front desk stated they would bring it up that night and never came. The day we checked out there was a cockroach in the kitchen and when we got home we found 2 of them in our bags.

Property was amazing, clean staff was friendly from the moment we walked in. Even at 11 at night they would ask if you needed anything if you walked by. Bed were most comfortable! Can’t wait to visit this location again. Didn’t want to leave! ?

Two years ago, great, this year terrible, puke in parking lot, three times to get working keys, broken hot tub (3 days) pool area dirty, room only attended once in six days, poor staff, trees trimmed mid day while at the pool, chain saws and leaf blowers. the list could go on!

A couple of things could be better, though. During our stay in December, the pool was not heated for the first three days, which was a real shame. Also, the breakfast area felt a bit cramped for such a big hotel, leading to lines for the waffle machines and food running out quite early towards the end of the service. Overall, we enjoyed our time here because of the cleanliness, location, and nice staff. We would happily consider returning, especially if the pool heating is guaranteed and the breakfast service is smoothed out.

We didn't have hot water in the sink. We had minimal hot water in the shower. We had to reset the fuse multiple times during our stay. And I room was never cleaned. Very poor management.

Breakfast was not good and didn't like the room much

I really enjoyed the gym. The breakfast was okay. My few frustrations was being waken up by a building alarm at 4AM and nothing was actually happening, the bathroom not having shampoo, lotion and body wash. The dispensers in the bathroom were empty. Also the thermostat was not working. I was cold my entire trip. However, they gave me free water.

Hotel is located close to everything and was very clean. I would stay there again. Two things that could be better- shower water temperature only gets to luke warm, not hot. False fire alarm at 5:45 am was not pleasant.

Room was quiet. Beds comfortable. Staff really nice. Location convenient. The heating/cooling system is unpleasant. It will not run at a nice neutral (like 70⁰) temp. The fan has 3 settings: cool, warm, off. Neither cool nor warm will moderate to the set temperature. They just keep going. I had to keep switching between settings, especially at night so we wouldn't freeze or swelter. The other annoyance was that the pull out sofa bed would not fold back to being a sofa unless the bedding was removed. Ergo, we sat on the beds, or one of us used the damaged office chair. All for a price more than double what we paid for totally pleasant lodging on our way to FL.

Check in went well and it is close to the beach.They don’t clean the rooms enough.There was a lot of people smoking by pool and it’s a very small pool.

Our second visit to this area. Hotel was very good with lovely pool. Room clean and quiet. Breakfast was good although not a lot of choice.

Have been staying here since the place opened in 2017. Always clean comfortable and welcoming. Close to beach and restaurants.

The room was excellent - actually outstanding. Clean and attractive. Up to date microwave, frig, etc. Lots of room. Bed extremely comfortable. We would definately stay here again. Outstanding place.

The Home2 Suites was a great experience. I was only there for one night and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good although I’d like to see it extended to 10:00 on weekends! I mentioned to the staff that the pool area should have a clock. I’d definitely stay at a Home2 Suites again in the future!

After a day at the beach, we ran into some issues with the shower. The water pressure was low, and water was coming out of both the tub faucet and the showerhead simultaneously. The shower gel hadn’t been refilled, and the drain wasn’t working properly. I imagine being so close to the beach means they deal with a lot of sand and seaweed in the plumbing, so it’s understandable—but still worth noting. Breakfast was good, and despite the hiccups, it wasn’t a bad day at all. I appreciated the hospitality and wouldn’t mind staying again with a few maintenance tweaks.

Was in town for a family funeral and Home2 suites took are of my sister and myself like we where family. They were so caring and wonderful the entire staff. The rooms are clean the am breakfast is good and has a variety of hot and cold foods. Good parking. Wawa right next door for gas and quick snacks it was just what we need. Close to good restaurants.

Every associate we interacted with met us with a smile, a hello and made eye contact with us. They were very accommodating & helpful. The rooms were large, beds very comfortable & clean. The entire property was clean and inviting. The kids loved the pool area. We will definitely be using this location for future stays.

Perfect for our one night stay.

Booked 2 rooms together. wanted joined rooms. Not available. No body lotion and shampoo in the room. Called front desk and they told me to come get it. Traveling with kids not possible to just leave and get it. Is this not a thing anymore where hotel staff brings you items promised in the room?

Terrible experience. They use bed skirts as comforters and I was double charged.

The breakfast was quite poor, there weren't many options for the price of the room, it could have been better.

Later in the day, Sabrina came outside and immediately began yelling at us in a very condescending tone. She said things like “you’ve already checked out” and made rude comments about Dolly running around the pool patio, even though no one appeared to be bothered. Some women had briefly come out earlier, then returned inside before Sabrina showed up, so it’s likely a complaint was made. That’s understandable, but the situation could’ve been handled with more professionalism and respect. The interaction felt unnecessarily aggressive and left a bad impression after what had been an otherwise enjoyable stay. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as no guest should be treated that way—especially when following the property’s rules and being respectful.

This was the first time booking a packaged trip from Expedia and our first trip flying with our children. This was also our first trip to Florida. The staff made us feel welcomed and accommodated us very well. Great job we will use you guys for our stay always. Great job!

Was a great stay!

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. Breakfast was great. Room was clean, spacious, snd comfortable. My only complaint was the shower water pressure, I felt like I could not get the shampoo or sand from the beach out of my hair. It could have just been our room though and would not let that keep me from staying there again.

I’ve stayed at Home2 Suites several times before and always had good experiences, but unfortunately this time was very disappointing. The pillow was terrible—tiny and extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Also, breakfast is supposed to run until 9 AM, but by 8:30 there was barely anything left and no refills were made. To make matters worse, the hotel was full and there was only one waffle machine working, which created long lines and a frustrating experience. I had even recommended this hotel to friends who stayed with me—and I was embarrassed by the experience. Sadly, I won’t be recommending this hotel anymore. I really hope they take these concerns seriously.

We have stayed here many times before, this was the worst experience I have ever had in all of my travels. The manager was suppose to call me, never did & I had to call her. She said she would call me back by the end of the day…never did! I will not stay here ever!

The biggest issue was the chaotic breakfast setup. There was no restocking of food or utensils, even though many guests were still trying to eat. To make matters worse, breakfast ends absurdly early at 9:00 AM, unlike most hotels of the same category that usually serve until 10:00 AM. This created unnecessary stress and frustration. The staff in charge of breakfast was inattentive and unhelpful, which only made the experience worse. On the positive side, the hotel has a great location, a pleasant and well-maintained pool area, and free, ample parking. These are definitely pluses. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it urgently needs to improve its breakfast operations—both in terms of logistics and service. Until then, I would not recommend it to guests who value a relaxed and properly managed morning meal.

This hotel offers breakfast and also has a kitchenette and gas grills if you are on a budget. It was clean and very quiet. Staff was friendly.

These hotels always seem clean and comfortable. Could of used another blanket on the bed but other than that super comfortable and clean.

Nice property and location. Close enough to everything. Everything you need.

No apology, no solution, no effort to assist. We were forced to drive another 3 hours at 11:00 PM, putting our safety at risk. It’s unbelievable that a hotel chain would allow such negligence and lack of professionalism! I wouldn’t recommend Home2 Suites Venice, Florida even if it were free. Stay away if you expect decent service or basic respect!

exceeded my expectations

Pool was nice. Close to a few different beaches. Room was spacious with a kitchen. Beds were comfy. But toilet paper was very thin. I’ll say again, everyone showed great hospitality. From a clerk behind the desk to a cleaning person with a cart. If there was anything we needed they were happy to help. We would definitely stay here again.

We asked to have our room cleaned and some new towels and they never came. The next morning we had to use dirty towels.

The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and the pool bathroom was clean and well stocked at all times. I was disappointed that the jacuzzi was broken. Also there was a broken table on the side of the pool that made the area look unkept. The pool deck would look prettier with some greenery like tropical trees/plants. I liked the front patio and the lobby was spotless and smelled like vanilla cake. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The beds and pillows were comfortable but I think the comforters are too narrow for queen sized beds. I like that the room had a wall divider.

All very good except they are not very flexible in accommodating a client in arriving a day late due to snow storm. We had to fight for a discount when we stayed 10 days and had to pay for additional day due to flight cancellation. So we had to pay for 11 days.

this is the 2nd time we stayed at this property. Both times the room was great, the staff was nice and helpful, and the breakfast buffet did not dissapoint.

We have stayed at many Home 2 suites - its our favorite hotel chain. This one was in a nice area with a close nice gas station that was super convenient to go to. Also very local to shopping and dining. The room definitely could’ve been cleaner but was decent overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

Great team breakfast can be improved

Spacious rooms and nicely decorated for Christmas. Roomy and clean bathroom. Only thing negative is there is not great sound insulation so you hear ppl in the hall. There is a wall thermostat and a kitchen with dishwasher and full refrig so that’s nice. Parking is easy and free. Overall great because it is only a mile from the beach. Friendly staff!

This hotel would not respond to Expedia regarding my refund. Ended up attempting to get my money through travel insurance, as well. Denied that as well. Never had such a bad booking/cancellation experience.

We are locals that stayed because we did not have power. Super clean, nice spacious rooms, friendly staff. Definitely recommend to vacationers or locals.

What an amazing stay. They we t over and above for us. We had our puppy with us. They made sure we were put in a room close to the our door doggie area, had doggie snacks, made sure all of including the puppy were comfortable. The front desk ladie was so wonderful, she even got on the floor and played with our fur baby. Breakfast was nice. Sandwiches fruit yoguart pastries oatmeal waffles. Such a good variety. We will definitely stay here again.

when you make the reservation do not they tell you that you must pay a Free per pet. They only let you know that when you are at the counter. They should say it when you make the reservation.
