There was nothing to like. So we knew we wouldn’t get our money back but it was just to scary to stay.
- 5/5
Clean, new paint no bed bugs as it is in the comment review that there is but it’s good There is no extra plug to charge r gadgets
- 2.5/5
Location No free parking, No tea or coffee. Washroom fan was noisy. No control over heating!
- 3.5/5
Was ok they are upgrading so will look better when finished Not a lot of parking right near the lodge but lots of parking across the street
- 4.5/5
It was a clean spacious and affordable unit and check in was relatively easy. We had a nice view of the gorge and they booked us in with relatively little hassle at the last minute. If it was a little closer to town that would have been great but otherwise we don't have anything bad to say about it.

Location The owner / staff member at the desk was awful rude and mean he yelled at me and would t allow my service animal on property we had to cancel the booking and it took us 45 minutes before he agreed to a refund. This discriminatory treatment caused us to be out a hotel and ruined our vacation. I recommend no one ever stay here
- 3.5/5
The WiFi was not great. The shower handle was very small and hard to use to make water spray.
- 0.5/5
Nothing i like i made a wrong choice Everything was bad…tv not working, facilities are poor, overall not to recommend
- 2.5/5
However, the rooms were very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The room was fine for the price range, minus the issues. However, we had a TV with no matching remote, so it was stuck on 1 channel. The A/C unit was very loud. There was a couch in the room, which was clearly too big for the space it was in. It blocked access to the closet space.
- 3/5
It’s ok for a one night stay. No frills hotel!
- 5/5
Close to Clifton Hill Room was clean, but very dry
- 3/5
Trim in bathroom kept falling off, water was orange when turned on until ran for a few minutes, if checking out early am (6:30-7:30 am) no one in office and it was locked. Also kept ID after check in and forgot to return until the next day once a call was made to confirm it was there.
- 2/5
The location is great. It is very close to Clifton Hill and the Falls, which is a big plus. If you’re mainly looking for a place to sleep at night and spend most of your time outside, this place can work just fine. if you’re on a tight budget and only need a place to sleep, it’s passable. After reading a lot of negative reviews, our expectations were already quite low. We just hoped for a decent spot to leave our bags and rest at night. When we arrived, the place seemed passable at first, but once we entered our room, we were greeted by several flies. We managed to get rid of most of them ourselves. We didn’t bother reporting it to the front desk, as we weren’t planning to stay in the room much anyway. We were also a bit anxious about the security of our belongings, but thankfully everything was still there after our full-day tour.

It has a fairly decent price as compare to others and they accommodated our request which was good.It was clean and hygienic with some issues. Can do some better efforts on customer service and hospitality. Additionally can fix their bedbacks and ventilation. We found it little suffocating.
- 3/5
its good for the price
- 4.5/5
location was good -bed comfortable- staff was accomodating -recommend for short stays thank you could use new carpets or flooring in halls and some updates but not critical
- 1.5/5
Location $20 to pay for parking and you parked in the tiniest lot with risk of leaving and not having a spot to park because they also own the public parking across the street which was getting filled up the rooms are the smallest I’ve seen so far there was black and mold on the ceiling and around the bathroom tile as well as flies and a bee in the room There were dirty linen sitting outside on the chairs when we arrived
- 0.5/5
Bed are very itchy, and we do bed bugs, I hope they will renovate that place it’s a good location, but very unorganized and it’s disgusting. Door is broken. Waste of money. Don’t go to this place. The falls family lodge.

Worst hotel ever! We asked for a wash cloth at least 5 times and never did recieve. Sat a cooler outside for an ice chest, people using dirty hands to get ice out. Door held shut with a bungy cord. Windows covered with chicken wire instead of screens. Unable to watch t.v. due to poor signal. Headboard of beds finish all rubbed off. Garbage under the night stands. 1 plug to plug in tv and small frig. Unable to plug in micowave. No plug in bathroom, no blow dryers. At least half the doors looked like they were kicked in. Homeless people smoking crack in parking lot. This place is nothing like the pictures show. Over charged for room and parking. AGAIN WORSE HOTEL I EVER STAYED IN!!! PLEASE IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN DO NOT STAY!!!
- 1/5
If I could give zero stars I would, Expedia needs to drop these guys from their list of hotels immediately! I booked online the previous thursday, one week in advance, and than called within four days before my stay to cancel my stay and they told me that they would be keeping my whole booking fee of $228 something about you only get a 48 hour window of cancelation which is abaolutely unacceptable! talked to two expedia reps and two expedia supervisers whom tried everything in their power to talk to the owners to get my money back. And or a discount for a future stay and or fifty percent return fee, And they wouldnt reconsider, listwn to my explanation as why I cancelled, qnd simply would not budge. They wer very rude, disrespectful, and very immature, and uncomindating for those with disabilities that are new clintelle. I would avoid this hotel at all costs, they are scammers and their buisness needs to be closed down already and an investigation neess to be launched against them!

Value for money
- 4/5
initially tv remote missing so staff tried to adapt universal remote but tv needed reprogramming so moved to other room ALL GOOD -- STAFF was cporteous and helpful
- 2/5
The motel may be more attractive if there is higher standard on the tidiness of the room.
- 1/5
Little rundown, small uncomfortable beds small TV couldn’t change channel shower went super cold after two minutes
- 1/5
Not what I expected
- 5/5
Great places to stay close to everything the place was a/c when arrived only problem. The AC machine was very loud at night hard to fall asleep. Had to pay extra for parking for the couple days.
- 1/5
Save yourself some disappointment and find a better place , dingy rooms , pics posted online are different than what you get , the Indian guy at cash counter was super rude , rooms don’t have working AC or remotes for TV
- 4/5
Good budget option. You get what you pay for
- 1/5
Did not ended up staying at this location, wanted a refund as soon as we got there, however, that was unsuccessful. We had to wait until the next day and didn’t get refunded the entire amount. Not staying there again.
- 2/5
No compartable
- 5/5
We arrived late at the location but still we were able to check-in smoothly. Thank you for having us.
- 4/5
Last Minute good choice
- 4/5
Near to restaurants
- 2/5
Secondly i get hotels/motels mainly because at home i only have a stand up shower. My stay was centered around making my partner an extra nice bubble bath and after i had set up the surprise, we went to run the bath and there was no plug/bath stopper. It was very disappointing
- 4/5
Good location
- 2/5
Waited for 30min before the counter guy arrivednto check in. And when we checked out, theres still nobody there. Just dropped the keys at the mailbox.
- 2/5
Bed was super comfy though. Room is tiny but it works if youre just there to sleep anyways. Door doesnt seal closed so you get whatever temperature and noises are outside, its obvious from the marks its been kicked in multiple times before All being said the room was cheap but i would at least expect the mold and extreme pressure to be corrected. I did mention it checking out, but since i was there for one night the condition was inexcusable in my opinion
- 3/5
No include parking, intetnet and tv not working!
- 4/5
Very convenient to all the local attractions
- 1/5
This place is a dirty beyond imagine. Rude staff and owner
- 1/5
Overall I rate this place just a 1 star because the location was the ONLY good thing about it as it was walking distance to everywhere.
- 5/5
Insect in room
- 2/5
location was great but unfortunately that’s all that was good, no plug for bath tub, no hotel parking, bed was uncomfortable, misleading website, no pool onsite. And I feel I was over charged big time. On my hotel.
- 1/5
The place has only a few rooms directly to the outside the rest of them are in a dark hallway with old and smelly
- 2/5
Electricity is not enough for the family needs
- 5/5
Very close to the falls and shopping and food place
- 1/5
Chambre infecte et sale. Humidité nous saute au visage en ouvrant la porte, nous n'avons pas dormi a cet hotel nous avons refuser et porter plainte. Meme pas pris le temps de prende des photos tellement odeur de la chambre etait insoutenable.
- 5/5
Excellent place, one of the places where you stay and feel relaxed. Overall great! Near by Niagra horseshoe fall. Definitely safe hotel.
- 2/5
The only thing that i appreciated about this hotel stay was that the bed was comfortable. Otherwise, this experience was scary and I wanted to run. Room was down a dark musky hallway and as you entered dissappointment was the best discriptive word. Walls were terribly painted and paneling had paint splotches on it where it should not be. Headboard was stained with greese marks and yellowed. Very small window overlooked an alley. The bathroom was so small that you could barely turn around. It felt and looked dirty. I would never recommend this place.
- 2/5
A few minutes walking distance from Cliffton Hill! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was fairly clean. The bad: Motel parking is extra $25 per day on weekends, contend with public parking across the street! Very small room, only basic electrical outlets for appliances, lacking extra outlets for charging electronic devices. Very noisey air conditioner. No hair dryer. Deal with front desk for toilet paper and towels.
- 4/5
Did the job for the weekend. Only one outlet had electricity.
- 4/5
The room I rented had basic function, the facilities are outdated but work properly. Great area, near Clifton Hill and walkable distance from the lake. Highly recommended if you only looking for a stopover place with not much demand but mostly enjoy the out door Niagara.
- 1/5
Otherwise. its dirty, uncomfortable, noisy, the AC is not working, the Fridge was ot plugged and smelled bad. Tut its at 2m walk of the Cliff and 5m of the falls. So its what we were expecting!
- 1/5
right off Clifton Hill, very walkable. no visible cockroaches? HOWEVER, so dumpy. the bathroom was dilapidated and disgusting, bad wifi. surface clean but duty fixtures, walls, doors etc. bedside lamp didn't work. the staff from the Indian restaurant and a guest and the nighttime desk staff kept coming and smoking in front of our door and only window. six times I had to ask them to move. the staff just does not care over they get your $$. our daughter is allergoc to cigarette smoke and got very ill. it was a long night.
- 4/5
It was fine
- 4/5

- 5/5
It was old but clean, if you are notntoo picky with amenities, it should be okay to just sleep.

Pillows are not comfortable. Toilet fixtures are either broken or not working properly.

- 5/5
Really great, will be back! Super close to everything.. staff was pleasant as well :). Great for a night stay!
- 2/5
Rip off charged for 3 adults when only 2 on first night, charged 100 dollars for parking for night of solar eclipse yet the parking lot they own only charged 40 tops that day. was charged 350 plus the night before eclipse. Creepy feeling as I was a woman staying with kids alone, did not feel safe
- 5/5
While The Falls Family Lodge may not be the epitome of luxury, the staff are lovely and it’s a genuine, no-frills experience that won't break the bank! If you're in search of a budget-friendly option that prioritizes cleanliness and safety, look no further than this hidden gem. Plus, its convenient location made exploring the surrounding area a breeze.

Convenience
- 1/5
rooms smells
- 3/5
Could have been cleaner (ex bathroom). Tv remote didn’t work properly, cable/satellite was unstable. Parking was unclear as the name of the property on Expedia doesn’t match the actual name of the place
- 4/5
Bedding and linens were clean. Over all a great little place with good value for the money. Location is close to all Clifton Hill attractions. Will come back.
- 3/5
Bed room is nice and cozy. matrass is soft and worm. The problem is the door to hallway was locked when I came back from outside. I have key only for my room. It took sometimes to find someone to get help to open the door to the hallway to get back to my own room. If I could not find anyone, i will be locked out of my room for all night. It should not happen like that. I have never seen a hotel door is locked to the hall wayl
- 2/5
The room should provide some water in the rooms. My bestfriend needed to take medication and we had to walk to the store, when she had sore knees.
- 5/5
Nice reception, quiet facility, reasonable price
- 4/5
The only frustration was the outlets in the room. There was only 1 functioning outlet in the room and it was in the base of the lamp. It was very loose. I had to prop my phone charger a certain way to charge up my device and it felt very unsafe. There was another outlet at the side of the bed but it didn't work. That's the only thing I would want to bring to the attention of the owners. Everyone has devices that need to be charged so it's pretty important.
- 1/5
We forgot something in the room and we come back 20 minutes later the room was already clean and we could not find the bag that we are looking for.
- 5/5
Loved the restaurant downstairs!!!! Butter chicken w rice and garlic nan bread mmm. Also loves the Roku stick for watching Netflix!
- 4/5
Had to pay for parking
- 2/5
Friendly staff however property in need of updating
- 1/5
When we got here 45 minutes after check in the room wasn’t ready yet and as soon as we got to our room door we had to practically kick the door in to get into the room, the floor was sticky throughout the entire room, the bathroom was tiny and it had old used conditioner on the counter and the toilet paper is a pain to get off the roll. The room was infested with fruit flies (Gnats) pretty big ones too, the tv keeps cutting out and the room doesn’t get the wifi that they offer so I hope you have a lot of data. There is only one outlet in the room so have to charge one phone at a time. The pillows look like someone was dripping sweat on top of them hours before and haven’t been cleaned in weeks This hotel should be maybe $25 a night at most not $240 especially when the parking is $30 and it’s only till 3am so you have to get up at 3am and pay another $30!!! When you open the window you get a nice view of a brick wall from the other hotel with the same name so good luck finding this one you might as well just stay home instead of coming here.
- 1/5
Dont stay there
- 3/5
I would have rather paid a bit more and gone elsewhere. The value certainly was not there.
- 2/5
The room had no cups. The tv channels are bad. The headboard had place where ripped apart. The room looked like no one taken care of it in years. It is close to falls but that is it. Should be $60 motel at most
- 4/5
Convenient location
- 1/5
Contacted Expedia and their virtual chat would not recogne my booking number Still been chargef for nooking. We are not happy Australian visitors and would not recommend
- 3/5
No deadbolt or secure method on door. No wash rags, plastic or paper cups. No working refrigerator. Very poor section of tv channels to view, . What I liked, the price was good.
- 4/5
Nice location, very close to Clifton hill. Parking fee is $ 5 per day ( you eventually pay $10 bcs of check in check out different dates) . Looks clean
- 2/5
No parking onsite; charged $20 to park across the road (in a lot that posted $15/day rate); Tiny room with no clock/radio, window onto noisy ally, bedside lamp/outlets would only work if overhead light was on, electrical outlets worn out to the point that phone chargers fell out, only 2 pillows and 1 bottle of water provided for double occupancy... the list goes on, total rip off, never again!
- 3/5
This was just an average property. Good thing is it is close to falls. You can walk.
- 5/5
This place is located right beside the main strip Clifton Hill. It’s literally an alley way walk and you are there. Good bang for your bucks. Second time there and we will not go anywhere else unless we are looking for romantic getaway of fallsview.
- 4/5
Clean and good enough for the price.
- 4/5
The room was very tiny. It was clean but we did need to ask for more toilet paper and towels. Staff were good butnot always in the office
- 1/5
Room was disgusting and dirty. Smelled like cat urine. Fruit flies everywhere and only 2 small towels. Very limited parking and staff non accommodating. Not recommended
- 4/5
Shower was powerful and Daisy was little slow but we were there on a sunny dayGood value for money
- 3/5
It was ok, they charge extra for parking if you come by car, not stated when booking it. The air conditioner was loud and not cooling great. Other than that the room was good, fridge and microwave included. I suppose it is location, but we had better hotels for less on our trip.
- 3/5
It was ok but the parking was bad
- 4/5
It was a good experience. Wash room and bed was clean. Very close to entertainment are which is very good. Stuffs are friendly. 2 problems, there is no hair dryer in washroom, you might need to wait for parking for a while or keep the car key to stuffs and they will park for you when parking space is free.

Mattresses are falling apart. This place should be investigated for being so filthy.
- 4/5
The hotel is old but the staff are friendly. The restaurant downstairs is amazing. Make sure you go there!
- 5/5
Very clean
- 2/5
It was hot and there The heater wouldn't shut off And the room was so small especially the bathroom And the fridge was filthy somebody left Food in there
- 2/5
Checking in was no issue. Had to pay parking which is offsite across the street. Sheets looked like it was never washed, had some stains on them. Couch still had crumbs from whoever used it last. Washroom was sort of clean but the knob for the shower was broken so we couldn't take a shower in the morning. If you need a place to just sleep, sure it's good enough.
- 1/5
Worst hotel that i ever stayed.Very poorly maintained. The light in front of our door fell down and nearly hit my sister in law. There where no batteries in the smoke detectors. The T.v. did not work and when I tried to bring to the staffs attention they got angry and told us to get out
- 3/5
The place is not bad. Cleanliness is not good.
- 5/5
The Staff and Location and Price is Great!!
- 1/5
- 4/5
The staff are friendly , the Ac unit didn’t not work but that was ok ,the location is great fir getting to all attractions
- 4/5
It is simple and good as per the room cost. Management is quite helpful as well, they helped us keep the luggage in our room after the checkout as well (subject to room availability)
- 1/5
So I made a booking for this place, msged the property to discuss some things including early check in. That wasn’t an option to start okay one thing. Then I drive from another city to show up there and the property tell me that they stay I booked they don’t have. I booked 2 weeks. Then they tell me when I arrive in another city that they don’t offer weekly stays. Proceeds to tell me that I then have to pay almost 3 times the amount from the booking and only 2 nights at a time. Then straight told me they did not care to accommodate someone who’s stayed at the motel before. That was said because I asked the man so like I’ve stayed here before I made this booking you don’t want to accommodate me, what are you going to do now that I’ve drove from another city and you confirmed this booking. Nothing. Asked me to leave and threatened to call the cops.
- 5/5
It was a good experience.overall i was happy to stay there.washroom was cleaned and beds were very comfortable. I was happy because of price and it was 8 to 10 minutes walk to fall and 2 minutes to clifton.
- 2/5
I guess it's ok if you're just passing by and want someplace cheap to stay and get a shower. Then move on the next day.
- 1/5
Cleaniness, staff, everything seema to be bad not worth it even i spend just $50 for one day. No bathroom amenties
- 4/5
Clean room.
- 4/5
Location was great. Walking distance to everything without being right on the hill.
- 5/5
It's an inexpensive place to sleep if you get the deals online, I would recomend to anyone who is not a princess and who doesn't want to pay too much for a place to sleep with a shower, TV and A/C. Good value for the paid $65 taxes included I paid!
- 5/5
Friendly staff Convenient location I would definitely stay again!
