Reviews

Location was great. Staff was great! Price was great! A fridge/microwave.
- 2.5/5
Close to the convention centre Keys were not working for the doors
- 2/5
The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is good, close to Niagara falls, many restaurants, and the Skylon tower. Staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The lights in the room and in the bathroom weren't bright enough The hair dryer didn't work The hotel amenities weren't complete Rooms and furniture were mostly old
- 0.5/5
The location was the ONLY good thing about this property The key card didn't work, so every time we wanted to get into our room, someone at the front desk had to let us in. There were 4 of us on the reservation and we only had 3 bath towels and one washcloth in our room. We asked for more towels once and never got them. We asked a second time and got some, but they didn't have washcloths, so we had to use hand towels instead. The TV didn't work, so when we got back to our room at night, we couldn't even watch TV. There were stains all over the carpet. If I could give this place a zero, I would. The location was good and that was the only good thing about this place! Also, the pool didn't have any water in it at the end of June. They advertise that they have a restaurant-they don't.
- 3/5
The room was good, but the room could have been updated a little better. Some of the wallpaper was peeling from the wall, the tv didn’t work at all, and the toilet paper holder in the bathroom was showing signs of rust on it. Also, carpeting could use replacing, some spots were lifting up in areas. Other than that, it was clean for what is being worked with. Nice hotel though for our first time staying there.

Spacious and clean room

No fridge and microwave. The only microwave is in first floor and my room is in the 3rd floor. The room is specious and clean with a nice view but its not accessible for disability too. No elevator

Overall was a good experience

Staff are nice
- 2/5
Their was no bar, no fridge, no garbage can, and no soap i whent to ask for some and was told they were completely out and offered more shampoo.
- 4/5
Clean room, and front desk was helpful.
- 5/5
Great stay, clean room, close to the action. The tv didn’t work but I had planned for that after a previous stay.
- 4/5
It was nice. Everything is good.
- 5/5
Overall atmosphere and staff were anazing!
- 3/5
Hope this is just an isolated case but still inconvenient for travellers like us.
- 1/5
Stayed in room 235, tv didn’t work. I can live without that, but still sucks. Had zero hand soap for the room. Was told to use shampoo or go buy my own. Not fun to be working all day and then have to go out to buy basic amenities for the room. We had 6 different bookings this weekend for an event next door and multiple small businesses staying there. They all said it was a big disappointment and we will be looking for other accommodations when back in the spring and winter next year for our events :(
- 5/5
It was a good stay
- 4/5
Room was very nice. The only two things that prevents this from being 5 stars is that there was no soap and the television didn’t work.
- 3/5
Heater not working
- 3/5

- 5/5
The rooms were okay, a little run down with wallpaper coming off the wall , ceiling with bad patching , fixtures a little run down BUT , room was clean and bathroom was clean Excellent value for the room rate Even though a little run down, it’s still clean and conveniently located We love staying here Brad
- 5/5
The room was huge and the bed was comfortable. My favorite was the jacuzzi tub. I will definitely return
- 2/5
Very convenient, close to all attractions, venues and restaurants Very outdated, carpets need to be cleaned in rooms . No amenities in room, had to call down for soap A refrigerator and microwave in room would be beneficial. Updated ice machine. Should have an elevator installed due to 3 flights of stairs for people with accessibility issues. The worst was no t.v unless you call down and ask for a ROKU stick and have to use my own phone through the app!!!
- 4/5
Only issue was that there weren't nars of hand soap. But we were given some,no problem
- 5/5
All good in best rate
- 5/5
Close to the convention. Quiet. Big clean rooms
- 4/5
Good as always
- 3/5
Walking distance to falls and Casino
- 4/5
Room was clean, the beds were uncomfortable but other than that we will definitely be back
- 1/5
Change management. Horrible customer service.
- 4/5
Cable services for the television viewing would be better then the Ruku service
- 3.5/5
Musty smell in hallways Parking price is too high. I always pay $10 for overnight parking and no more.
- 4/5
Spacious room, friendly staff, limited parking, dated/damaged decor (stained carpet, ripped wallpaper)
- 5/5
Friendly and professional staff. Clean and spacious room. Great price and walking distance to casino, shops, and restaurants. I'll definitely return
- 5/5
This Motel is close to Niagara Falls park, but please buy Niagara Falls transportation package ( we go) or adventure, it will made your vacation easy and fun
- 4/5
Had ++++ difficulty connecting to reception on TV . Ok after I requested help . Then when I devided to change channels it went belly up . No further abilty to watch tv despite assistance . A disappointment.
- 3/5
scary to be walking late night.
- 4/5
Noisy air conditioner. Apart from that, its pretty good. Amazing location, good people and quiet place.
- 4.5/5
Two things: 1) there should have been a fridge in the room and 2) parking should be free.
- 5/5
All was in order and the friendliness of the desk was amazing! I haven't been in Niagara in two decades and totally enjoyed my stay!
- 4/5
It was good. A little musty smell in the hallway but room was fine. Quiet air con
- 2/5
Stained carpet, peeling paint, smoke detector hanging from ceiling
- 3/5
Should have been better if they provide Fridge and Microwave in unit itslef
- 4/5
Side note re: the area and for any late night munchies you may have..we couldn't for the life of us find a snack vending machine or a convenient store closeby so we ended up at Embassy suites which charges $6.30 for a twix bar and the starbucks in there charges $2-3 more per item, so stay clear of that hotel unless you like paying that kind of $!!
- 4/5
Nice motel, no view of falls despite the name but not far to walk and is close to many restaurants. Good parking lots.
- 4/5
This is our third visit in which the tv does not work.
- 2/5
Later, around 1:30–2:30 AM, people in the neighboring room were fighting and screaming nonstop.

Pas aimé notre sejour à cet hôtel.
- 2/5
Counter service was decent--although some of our group couldnt pay with cash...we did so not sure...
- 2/5
Stayed at the property three years in a row so we were familiar with the property but since new ownership took over they cancelled a lot of our teams reservations and had stains on the carpets and unclean bathrooms. Won’t be back
- 5/5
Great for visiting the falls
- 2/5
TV did not work. Advised front desk. Asked for parking to be waived in lieu of TV working upon check out, front desk clerk said would ask 'management' when they came in later in the day. Never heard anything. Got charged $20 still. Not pleased.

After leaving the hospital, I checked into your hotel for a one-night stay, and, exhausted, went to bed immediately. In the morning, while rushing to get back to the hospital, I discovered there was no hot water. When I called the front desk, I was told the water system had broken the day before, and a repairman had been called. The staff member's comment, "You know those guys, they never tell you when they're coming to fix things," was unhelpful and unprofessional. I was extremely upset that I was not informed of this issue at check-in. While I understand that things can break, it's unacceptable that I wasn't given the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to stay at your hotel. The lack of hot water was a significant problem, especially given my long journey. There were also other issues that made my stay uncomfortable: a large stain on the floor and a broken radiator that made the room uncomfortably hot and forced me to use the air conditioner to regulate the temperature These reasons, particularly the lack of hot water, greatly detracted from my stay.
- 1/5
Staff good, ac in my first room was noisy and no cooling, no hot water, they putted me in other room, little better, but no hot water. Carpet need attention, a lot of stains, trash in the stairs face tk the back.
- 3/5
Water heater was broken. Made the stay very uncomfortable

The amenities of this motel is very poor.
- 3/5
There was no soap provided to wash your hands! The tv had about 3 channels. The staff were quite nice.
- 1/5
It came up as a hotel but it's a motel with terrible building condition. The huest bathroom at the reception seems not to be cleaned for years. There were cobwebs and flies in the room. We ended up sleeping and at exactly 5.45 I woke up to see a milipede crawling towards my pillow. We had to check out immediately. Do Not book this faculity even if its free.
- 2/5
Old and not updated building, needs a lot reparations... nice staff.. close of restaurants
- 4/5
Check in really smooth and quick and they have a parking outside the room which is more convenient if you are travelling with kids easy accessible.
- 4/5
Close to the falls
- 2/5
Even the second room wasn't better, the TV not working at all, we will never come back. Adding to that, the price was fair until to had to pay 20$ a day plus taxes for parking. To avoid.
- 5/5
nous avons adoré avoir accès à la piscine, nous étions à proximité des chutes et tout à pied
- 4/5
It worked perfectly for my short trip. I didn’t spent much time at the hotel, just came to sleep and take a shower. Perfectly located near a WEGO stop and walking distances to restaurants and attractions. The bed was confortable and the room clean.

When we first arrived there was a sign on the door saying they were with another guest and would be back shortly. The door was locked, so that was strange that we needed to wait. However, I don't know what the other guest needed and it was only a few minutes so maybe they needed the full staff?? The property was nice, the rooms were nice and they were able to put two rooms beside each other to accommodate us. The pool was clean and refreshing.. a nice break on a hot day. Overall a great stay and if I find myself in Niagara again would def stay there again!
- 1/5
This place is the dirtiest most outdated place I have ever booked. The photos and descriptions online did not show actual current photos. Not just out-dated, the room, lobby, yard is dirty and seems abandoned by the owners, leaving the nice front desk people to deal with shocked, really upset customers who upon arrival find themselves in a real bind. AGAIN, the front desk and supervisor were truly amazing people, they were short-staffed, but doing their best to really help. The owners to this place should be a shamed and at the least be fined heavily for false advertisement and horrible conditions. Upon arrival we were told the main building in the photos is booked and was taken to outside two-floor motel-looking extension to the building. The rooms smell. What appeared to be a frame for a shelf in the center of the room, was missing shelves! THE STAFF IS AMAZING but unfortunately the place is filthy and broken down. We cancelled and had to find a place at arrival.
- 1/5
Do not go unless u like old settings stink like cigarette
- 3/5
Room was spacious. Great location, walking distance to the fall. However the property outside the room was pretty dirty, with garbage and garbage bags lying around next to the door of the room.
- 4/5
Good price and good value. Close to a lot of dinning and breakfast options. Great staff, helpful, polite.
- 3/5
There are no elevators and the stairs feel unsafe. They are rusting out. Plus waited almost three hours for check-in because the room wasn't ready.

Horrible.
- 2/5
noisy AC, dirty smelly carpets, paper thin walls
- 4/5
The only complaint I have is the sink slightly leaked and I heard water drops during the night but otherwise it was good
- 2/5
Great location for the price but our room had a huge gross stain on the carpet and the toilet did not work as well as one of the taps on the sink.

The place was very old, run down and was not maintained
- 1/5
This establishment makes Motel 6 appear comparable to the Hilton. The saying ‘you get what you pay for’ is entirely accurate in this case. The rooms are equipped with noisy window air conditioning units, the carpet is noticeably soiled, and only one ice machine was operational and it was it was filthy.

No elevator, tv has no channels, walls around the property are dirty, jacuzzi was dirty.
- 1/5
Took 30 mins to get access to our room since they did not have a clean one available. Once in room and opened up "cleaned" bedding, we found crumbs, pistachio shells and dirt. Nothing was cleaned even though we waited for a clean room. No other rooms. Got money back and left. Do not stay here.
- 1/5
Room was extremely outdated with peeling wallpaper, dirty carpet and the tv didn’t work. Location was excellent but the room was gross.
- 2/5
Stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Niagara Falls Ontario July 18-20. Terrible state of room. Stained carpet. Strong musty mothball smell (had to get a candle to deal with the smell) peeling ceiling paint. No fridge. No microwave. Dated room. Never have I stayed in a choice hotel that was this bad. Only upside was staff were truly wonderful. Room 221. I booked through Expedia Regardless Choice needs to upgrade this establishment.
- 3/5
I think this property needs an upgrade & overall replacement of everything in the rooms ie beds mattresses carpets etc Internet & TV also need to be replaced! The grounds need to be looked after as well as the pool was to be fixed & open this was not the case in the 5 days we were there.
- 1/5
Charged us to park on the property pool wasn’t open with no warning.

I read reviews before booking this room. I have no idea how the inn received any positive reviews based on my stay. It is nothing like the pictures. The staff was friendly though the check in process seemed prolonged. When we were ready to go to our room we were told that the room keys did not work and that a staff member would need to let us in. The room was very dated and the rug was extremely dirty. The television feed was terrible and essentially did not work. The paint was flaking on all outdoor services and the pool was empty and looked abandoned. The staff were wonderful. They seemed to look embarrassed to work there after hearing guest feedback. The woman in front of me checking out had an ant infestation in her room. I would never have booked this had the website shown real current photos of the condition of the inn.
- 1/5
I liked that the hotel was close to Niagara Falls. What I didn’t like was that the beds were not comfortable, there was no toilet paper or soap, the trash bins in the parking lot were full, and the pool was closed. One night during my stay, there was a fight in the parking lot. I was very scared because I was traveling with my children. I do not recommend this hotel. The hotel facilities were dirty.
- 4/5
Apparently, it has a new area and an old area, and I got the old area. It's very old, there's a strong cigarette smell, access is only via stairs, and there's no elevator for carrying luggage, which is a problem. Now, for the price, it's not too bad. There are many things nearby that you can walk around and enjoy without having to move your car.

Location
- 2/5
We knew what we were getting into. a cheap hotel for 1 night. The rooms were so gross though. a huge daddy long legs greeted me when i walked into the bathroom. there is no central air, but a wall unit. The wall unit did keep the room cool, but it was loud and really old. None of the furnishings matched. the tapestries are falling off. if someone wanted to look into our room, they could. Door to the room was offset so the door would lock, but not close all the way. probably how the spiders got in. the tv got 3 stations and was spotty at best. it was a seedy motel, but you get what you pay for. no bed bugs, so that's a plus. pros were that the beds were extremely comfortable, like one of the best hotels beds i've ever had. The water pressure in the showed was very good too. those were the only redeeming qualities, everything else was sketchy.
- 3/5
The property is clean and the location is close to the falls. However, the pool was not in service, no housekeeping service.
- 3/5
There was a $200 per room deposit when we checked in. Told would be released at checkout. When checking out I was told would show in a couple of business days. This was unexpected and I have never had to do that prior at other locations.
- 2/5
Staff was friendly.
- 0.5/5
Too old, dirty, no shampoo, no microwave…. Nothing supplied. Floor dirty, shower dirty. It is overprice for this dirty property .
- 5/5
The location is perfect for my trip. We bought the pass that includes the shuttle and inclined railway. I hop on and off the inclined railway from Hotel to Falls. It is so convenient even for the night event. Because it runs until 11pm. The room is spacious, two vanity and mirrors. We could do the morning chores all together without waiting and waste any leisure / site seeing time.
- 1/5
The Wifi and the pool was not working.
- 1/5
Unfortunately we stayed 6 days at this hotel and nothing was available as advertised. Hotel is run down, hallways are hot and smell. We rented a Jacuzzi room but could not use the Jacuzzi because the plug did not fit, asked the front desk several times for another and apparently they could not find one. Pool was not usable, the hotel needed to get the ok from the city to open it, microwave did not work, vending machine did not work and no wifi for the last two days and that means no tv either. Cleaning staff is around but hard to find. I had to ask for toilet paper, towels and garbage bags. Definitely not worth the price we paid, unfortunately we could not move to a different hotel due to financial restraints.
- 3/5
Pool is closed, room is clean but smells
- 1/5
The rooms were stinking, the ceiling was peeling off. The property is not at all maintained. The carpet was sticky and we had to wear sandals through out our stay. We saw a couple of moths in the room. Over all never staying in this motel ever.
- 2/5
The room was spacious. The location was good. The room escort was friendly when he unlocked the broken door. If this place was advertised more realistically it wouldn't be such a disappointment. Pool wasn't open (in summer), room keys didn't work, ice machine didn't work, rooms pretty dated with no microwave or fridge. Bathroom faucet lifted right off when I turned on the water. Broken pool, broken faucet, broken ice machine, broken door lock. Sawdust and wood chips in my shoes after man fixed the lock. Clearly no pride in the property by the owners. They charge $20 for parking. PER NIGHT.
- 3/5
Staff was amazing and super friendly and helpful, despite the fact that the key cards for most of the rooms weren't working during our stay due to a technical glitch. They had to let us into our rooms each time with a master key, but they were very apologetic and willing to do it whenever we needed to get in.
- 2/5
None of the door locks in the motel worked. Everyone needed to be let into their rooms by the staff. Snack machine was broken, towels had old blood on them, carpet was stained.... it was a good value given all of its faults
- 3/5
Had to pay an extra 20 dollars for parking. Key card didn't work cards
- 3/5
The staff was super amazing, polite and busted there butts. The place could use a bunch of updates.. hallways looked horrible but when entered the room it was awesome..
- 4/5
Friendly staff clean room ac worked like a charm the only issue i had that didnt make it 5 stars for me is the fact our keycard to enter the room did not work so i had to constantly leave the door open when i sat outside of the room or when we came back from going out we always had to ask staff to open our room but the staff always had no issues so i appreciate them for that but the owner should really get that fixed because it wasnt just my family that had issues with keycards i stayed 2 night 3 days and 80% of the people i saw had issues other then that it was a fantastic stay
- 1/5
Expect to pay extra to park - and if there's any sort of problem (the door security has apparently been out for weeks, for instance), don't expect them to make any effort to help or compensate you for that in any way.
- 5/5
Nice place and price reasonable
- 1/5
Door security system was down. Had to have someone let you into your room each time. 2 occasions they couldn't find the key for over 20 minutes. Stains on the floor and couch. Ants crawling on the floor by the door
- 4/5
nice staff, it was a clean room with AC on upon arrival, key card was not working but our parking fee was waived courteously as a result
- 3/5
A little out of town but good bus service , friendly staff , however the keys to the rooms did not work and we had to go to reception every time we wanted to go into our room we stayed three nights and it still wasn't fixed , good big room lots of storage space and clean coffee maker in room and ice machine which was great on the second floor . All in all I would go back .
- 3.5/5
Nice rooms. Nice location The key cards didn’t work so I needed to be let in every time I went back to the room. There was very little to no wait for someone to let me in. The poor I’m guessing maintenance man. He was very nice while dealing with the system being down.
- 1/5
the website had misinformation about the pool services but after arriving realized they didn’t have that. Also the doors to my room were not working so have to keep going back to reception to come open it each time I come out
- 2/5
Room key didn't work, had to wait close to 4 pm to get room, noisy neighbourhood.
- 2/5
The keys were not working so we had to ask the front desk to let us into our room. The ice machine was not working on the main floor, but the young person made the trek upstairs to get us some ice. The pool was non functional. No restaurant or bar as advertised.
- 3/5
Ok for the price but make us pay 20$ parking when it’s clearly says 10$ for a motorcycle. Door lock does not work, we need to ask everytime we want to enter the room!
- 1/5
one of the worst stays with the key to the room not working and having to get the staff to unlock the door everytime I leave the room. not happy at all with the stay
- 1.5/5
Great location and friendly service. Very dirty carpet, the place is run down
- 1/5
They cancelled our reservation when we reached the property. we were not notified until we got there. Rude front desk staff. promised us we are just getting your room ready and then in an hour said we have cancelled your reservation.
- 3/5
First impression was of the ladies public WR - pretty terrible. Second impression of the room was that it had a peculiar odour - most likely from the carpet, which was in terrible condition. However, the bathroom was clean, and the bed moderately comfortable. Location was terrific and the staff was very helpful. This is an old, tired place and needs some upgrading, but overall for one night, it was ok.
- 4/5
There was very little staff and the reception staff were overwhelmed.
- 2/5
Staff was great. However, the property itself was not. None of the keys worked so I needed staff to unlock my room every time. Than once getting the room it was the wrong room. Was tired from traveling for work so just took it. I told the front desk on check out and the just made a note. Heard nothing since.
- 3/5
Location Extremely loud AC!! Not nice smell inside the room
- 3/5
Large rooms, good linens and comfortable bed. Location No swimming pool, no restaurant or continental breakfast in hotel. Keyless cards did not work so Fri treat had to open room every time. Fridge only available upon request, not In room. Rooms not serviced after 3 days were told this on request only. TVs didn’t work had to have a Roku set Up. Cheapest toiletries in room, take your own soap.
- 5/5
Very close to the falls

It was great. All good

The bathroom was gross and the walls were very thin... You could hear loud people staying beside. Key cards also did not work well.
