Close to the venue we were attending. Falling apart. The heating vent was dirty, the shower faucet kept coming off, the floor in the bathroom was cracked, the toilet paper holders were all rusty, and everything was outdated. I was also overcharged my $241.05- they tried to say they could not see the charge on their computer but it clearly showed on my credit card and also on the printout they gave me. I have a dispute in with my cc company who also said they can clearly see it.

Comfortable stay and nice beds. Gemini’s quite helpful and accommodating. He did his best. Would come back again.

location The rooms smelled horrible like smoke and the decor was falling apart! The TV was cheap with crappy sound, bathroom was hideous old red bathtub from the 70's with a old rusty heating unit that looked like water was constantly poured over it.

Thin walls and no fridge in room

The staff listens to our inquiries and are careful. They dis their best to make our stay better. The building is old, and for the price is ok. But don’t expect excellent beds and nice bathrooms. :) you have to pat an extra 50-150$/night for that.

We had the room with jacuzzi in it , it was so romantic relaxing and room where clean no bugs. People that work there are very polite respectful and very good with communication. Will definitely be coming back for sure .

They first put me in a room with a cold tile floor and no working heat. Then after calling Expedia, they moved to another room. I ended up having to disinfect the wall that was smeared with feces. That was gross! The laundry facilities were not available. They claimed the pipes were frozen. I understand that can happen, but when I asked about a nearby laundromat, the attendant said I’d have to do an online search for it. Rude.

The bed was in very poor condition — when you sit on it, it sinks and feels like you’re going to fall through. The floors were dirty, the electrical outlets were broken, and the mattresses were stained, which made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Overall, the hotel looks old, damaged, and poorly maintained. It does not match the pictures at all, which feels misleading. The only positive aspect of our stay was the staff, who were polite and kind, but unfortunately good customer service cannot make up for the lack of cleanliness and the poor condition of the rooms. I would not recommend staying here until major cleaning and renovations are done.

The rooms were not clean. The bathroom vanity faucet was not connected properly and was leaking water to the bottom of the vanity every time the faucet was opened. The wall paint chipped away at some places.

No problem with staff room was clean the extra charge for parking is not right and the heavy charge for my dog was a lot what extra work involved for the amount,outside building was very dirty needs alot of repairs done around the property overall appearance was unacceptable. I would hope that i would see alot of improvements to stay at this location again.

A little loud at night with party people but that is dependant on who is around during the stay. Rooms are dated but clean. Found it strange there was shampoo but no soap? Breakfast is Continental so don't expect much more than toast, cereal and coffee. It is exactly as described. Additional fee for parking but that is listed so I was fine with that. Good place to stay for the price.

This hotel I wouldn’t recommend, there was blood stains in the bedding and on the mattresses, the bathrooms were disgusting, towels felt like absolute sandpaper, also there was no mini fridge even though it said there was when booking, I had to call for a lightbulb for our lamp I told them I would just install it myself because he said they didn’t have maintance guys… honestly for the price okay fine it’s a place to sleep but absolutely not again…

During my stay, my phone fell under the bed. When I moved the bed to retrieve it, I found a used needle. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous. When I reported it to the front desk, the staff did not apologize, did not seem shocked, and offered no compensation or solution. The lack of cleanliness and lack of concern from the staff is alarming. I would not recommend staying here.

The room was clean but in terrible condition. The mattress was old, squeaky and saggy. The toilet was not properly bolted down so it rocked. The ceiling tiles over the tub were water stained. The tiles around the tub were broken. The bedding was very worn and the towels were the cheapest I have ever seen. The faucet handle was so loose that I had to tighten it to be able to use it. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The room and property were clean, no issues there. There is an Indian restaurant attached to the hotel and the smell was overpowering. Also, the room we got had been smoked in and smelled of smoke heavily. The entire building is very old and needs to be completely renovated, inside and out. Nice staff.

The door had gaps all around it, there was construction debris all around, reception was dirty and untidy, while it had new paint in the room, the furniture and fixtures were old and chipped and rusty and tired. Beds were clean and comfortable. Parking fees.

The staff did not communicate propery, i got double charged after we checked out. Breakfast was not that good, room were ok pool was not really cleaned.

The property is a bit run down but it serves the purpose for a place to sleep and it offers a free breakfast in the price which makes it a budget friendly place to stay. The sink drain needs to be unclogged as the water doesn't drain

Breakfast was spot on. Staff were very efficient. Room was ok but would be better with some renovation especially the toilets. Overall, it was a good stay and I loved the affordable price.

Manager was very cooperative and brought us another tv when the maintenance couldn’t fix it. All this was so contrary to what Expedia claimed. Will never trust them again.

The room was dirty, smelled of mildew, had gum on the wall. There were a lot of people out side their rooms, drinking and smoking, felt unsafe.

The room was dirty. Charged for parking but not for everyone when I asked a few people. Towels and linens looked so old. If I did not pay already I would have left. So bad that I will never stay at another Howard Johnson.

The staff are personable and honest. The make your own waffle machine is as good as it gets. Just take your time and don't rush it. Make a friend while you wait the 2:50. Spend less time looking under your bed and you will enjoy a more comfortable sleep. Watch out for the very aggressive shower. It's HOT!

The AC in our room did not work, it was like trying to sleep in a sauna. In my parents room the TV did not work. Not a great place , very old looking. Their breakfast was good but they have one waffle maker for everyone and you have to wait in line , at 3 minutes a waffle it takes a while when several people are in line. Wouldn't stay again.

It was not a fancy hotel but they are working to improve it. The room were clean, the breakfast was as described and staff were friendly and helpful. It was worth the cost and I would stay there again.

We were disappointed. We were OK with paying extra for our dog which then had a weight limit that we were not aware of but when they wanted us to pay extra for parking and a tourist fee that was not included in our reservation, we were quite surprised. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the room and people were living in a van in the parking lot. We will not be returning.

Stay was good, no complaints (other than the tv's being small). Rooms were clean and comfortable. Swimming pool was open and clean. Close to coffee, convenience, food and grocery.

The continental breakfast was amazing! The room was a great size, very clean! The only thing was it had NO fridge, which was a very big inconvenience especially with a child!!

Bed sheets had stains. Rooms have no fridge and if you want to keep food cold, you need to guve to staff ti save in their kitchen fridge. We stayed two nights and will likely not book at this place again. Area surrounding the hotel was really good, Tim Horton is across the street and lots of restaurants too.

This was great value for the money spent, an older property but well maintained. Newer tub and tub surround, air conditioning was the window type but quiet and worked well. Not much on the continental breakfast but enough toast, muffins and fruit the coffee was great and they did have a waffle maker. Staff were friendly and efficient.

IT WAS DISAPOINTING BUT IT WAS ONLY FOR ONE NIGHT. ROOM CLEAN , OLD WITH RUST PLACES ON THE WALL AND DIFFRETN PLAES . THE PROPERTY RUN DOWN AND NOT TAKEN CARE .

Absolutely horrific place to stay. They make it look so nice online but in real life it is disgusting. The floor was greasy like they sprayed Pam on it. The TV was probably 2 inches long and 1 in wide. There was no fridge or microwave so for our 6 day trip we had to go out to eat and almost went bankrupt. The drain for the shower doesn’t even drain. The bed literally comes off the mattress while u sleep. The cutains look like there was like blood on it or something. It was gross! DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE “restaurant” that they feed people. The sauce is kept in a BUCKET on the floor. The chicken is right by the mesh window screen for all the bugs to get into. Kitchen is extremely dirty and the “breakfast” they give you only has muffins, 1 singular waffle mashine, bread, and oatmeal. Don’t go here choose another place.

1. The smell, when we arrived the room smelled like cigarettes. 2. The carpet wasn't well vacuumed. 3.The breakfast could've been better, but because of the price I think is more than fair. Generally was good for the price, just those little details that can be improved!

There was a generator running off and on,air-conditioner taped together, shower dripped all the time, no frig, asked needed for medication and staff left it outside door for us(husband in wheelchair) seniors to bring in and install, Coffee pot in room supplies very old and disgusting. When guest in upper floor showering sounds like it is coming through the ceiling so little or no sound barrier. No outside ashtrays butts on the ground. Staff not helpful, Large pile of rusty metal close to end of pool, tarp tied to end portion of building, flapping in the breeze, several men hanging around smoking near it. Old rusty transport trailer in parking area. All together very nasty. Give it a -2 rating Don't stay there

The rooms had roaches and a smelly odor

The breakfast experience was very pathetic. Only bread and butter, cakes were in the list, but wait time was high to grab one for us. Apples were the worst quality one. There was no drinking water easy accessibility. We grab our glasses filled by our filled from counter basin. We decided to leave the hotel one day earlier loosing our one day rent. We asked to refund, but we were denied. I would never come in this hotel, and would not recommend others.

It was ok. My beds in my room thou the mattress wanted to changed. Plus the rooms need air fresheners or open for airflow during the summer time.

The pictures shown for this motel are not accurate. They purposefully show pictures of a different hotel. We arrived at the hotel, checked in, saw the rooms and checked out immediately. This motel is in a very dangerous part of niagara. Smell of weed everywhere, drug addicts in the parking lot etc. Windows of room broken and half boarded up. The rooms themselves stink. Absolutely horrific.

This was the most disgusting motel I have ever been in. The room stank from cigarettes and urine. The chairs were stained, and there were stains on the furniture. There was an open, used bar of soap and a used washcloth in the bathroom. There was an apple core in the garbage can. It stank stank stank to high heaven. Absolutely disgusting.

The state should stop this property to function because nobody should pay money to leave in this terrible conditions in their vacation. I regretted not to take pictures to add to this review

No wifi on the tv

We had an amazing night! Kids enjoyed the pool. Beds were super comfy and staff very helpful. Only issue was our room needed more pillows and they couldn’t provide. Otherwise great night.

The so-called “complimentary continental breakfast” was also underwhelming: it consisted of just bread, jam, coffee, juice, pancake batter (you had to make your own pancakes), and almost raw bananas. It didn’t meet the expectations set by the listing. That said, I do want to give credit where it’s due — the staff were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful throughout. Three cheers to them! Despite the staff’s hospitality, I wouldn’t recommend this place due to the overall condition and misrepresentation in the listing.

Room Smell smoky even though non smoking

Room had stained sheets, mattresses, walls, carpet and chairs, cigarette holes all over. Surfaces were sticky or watermarked. Walls were stained and poorly/not repaired. Table wobbled. No screens on windows. Dozens of holes in blackout curtain. Carpet left black stains on bare feet. Room smelled of smoke despite being “nonsmoking.” You get what you pay for.

The property needs alot of tlc. Carpets were not clean the room smell just cable tv. You charge for parking then post your not responsible for any damages. The outside needs to be cleaned up. Check in was very slow. I wouldn't recommend it.

Price paid was too high for the quality of the overall property.

Continental breakfast is very good, again very helpful staff there too. Rooms are OK. It's not a hotel problem but even though hotel has "no smoking 🚭 in the room policy" some guests keep smoking in front of their rooms or in the lobby while room doors are wide open. That lets smoke seep though in the room.

The room, the door is falling apart, the shower was not draining property. The area is dirty not a kid friendly.

Run down hotel tooms. More like a motel for hook ups. Pot smoking by the neighbors to the north and a sex parade in the room to the south with a rolling bed banging the wall til after 2 am. Outdated rooms look like the 80s during a renovation. Towels are like sandpaper. Toilet barely flushes. No refrigerator. Phone doesn't work. 7 TV channels. Hotel advised me that they rent to the government. So in other works it is used as a shelter and this is not what their advertising will tell or show you. Community garbage all over the ground and outside rooms. Cigarette butts on window ledges. I complained of how very uncomfortable the place feels and looks. Unfortunately, I had booked and paid before seeing the true nature of the place. I also didn’t complain because I have my kid and do not need issues. This hotel is NOT as is seen in photos. Like my daughter said. Mom, you should have looked at the reviews! The continental breakfast, well lets say I drove to another restaurant for a bite to eat. Its run down and has a very dirty feel. Everyone was butting in to use the toaster that was past expiry. No respect at all. Nothing really at all to eat. Packaged oatmeal and bananas. Waffle iron had a line up of about 13 ppl and 1 waffle takes about 4 min to make. Nor to mention so unhygienic. Personally, I wouldnt have stayed if it were free. Probably the most disappointing hotel I have ever been to.

The breakfast was breads, fruits, and cereals with a waffle maker, no eggs or bacon. It was fine however it was dirty, the floor, the ceiling, the syrup containers, breads had to be pulled out by hand, which turns some people off. The windows were very dirty. People are allowed to smoke on the balcony near their doors and buts ground out on the ledges were left for all three days. The pool was padlocked. I di not see it in use. It is a great location with good eating locations within walking distance, across and down the street in a safe walking area. If they did a better job on the many little clean up items it would be a decent two star hotel. I would probably choose a different hotel next time.

For it being a Howard Johnson (Wyndham Property) this is low end Property. Phone in room didn’t work, light over small table onky half of it worked. There were several water stains on the ceiling bathroom. The worst thing was if you aren't 6 feet tall or more ypu literally have to get on a chair to turn the air conditioner on or off!

Dirty room, bathroom, no pool access, shady operation. Accommodation not worth $59.99 but $29.99. It is a rundown motel passing off as a hotel due to Howard Johnson by Wyndham banner. I do not recommend.

It was unsanitary. There was yellow stains the bed sheet, brown stains, mold on the upper wall in the room. The pool was barred off.

Not good

Washroom- the bathtub is nice, looks like new. Toilet- you have to hold down the flush lever to flush. Not comfortable to stay. AC- very noisy Overall, washroom is smelly. I was not comfortable taking a shower or seating on the toilet. On a positive comment, they have free continental breakfast which is good. This is not on the area or very near Niagara Falls. I will not stay again. This might fit with someone who is looking for a last min booking but in the future, even for a 1 day stay I will not book again to this hotel. I would rather spend a couple of dollars to stay in a comfortable hotel. I did not take pictures- not worth it.

Beds are comfortable. Area is nice, quiet. Room has no microwave or mini fridge. Decor is straight out of the 1960’s. Pool was closed for maintenance.
