Convenience and location The maid who came to clean was rather rude and on the morning of the check-out which was 12pm she came around 11 and opened to room and was surprised to see the guest still in and rudely asked ‘what are you doing in the room’. ‘Give me your key card’. ‘You shouldn’t be here’. We complained to reception and all they said was sorry

Location The facilities of the room was too old for example a chair of the room was scratch and damaged plus the ceiling of the room and hallway was really very low.

room was good, view was good we try for that room 409 for the last 20 years breakfast was disappointing with the changes. my wife is celiac and worried about cross contamination. the other way was lot easier. hope you don't lose business over the change walking by we noticed it wasn't as busy in the restaurant . we also used to get the package at end of may and that changed. all in all it was a great trip and still planning to come up every year and stay at your place.

The room was alright and the staff polite, but there was a foul sewage-like smell, especially in the elevator area. The room walls are very thin and there were noisy people next door, so it was hard to sleep at night. The restaurant is also very mediocre and overpriced for the quality of food served. Overall, wouldn't recommend - for the price point I'd have been far better off renting a good abnb.

Room is very noisy, you can hear the doors and people walking. Not sure if our next door ppl are just loud, but we kept hearing banging and tapping all night. For some reason our bathroom smelled like vomit, the front staff addressed it, but it smelled like vomit mixed with chlorine during our entire stay, i am unsure how they clean but it did not go away, it only smelled better close to the balcony that we kept open. The hallways smelled like armpits. And to add on, there is no towels prepared, i actually have to call the front desk twice to check if they do provide it? Check in was a breeze, the staff are accommodating, the cleanliness of the entire hotel would be 4/10 for me. I have been to different holiday inn locations in ontario, and even out of the country but this stay was really a downer.

It’s always a plus when there is no carpet in the rooms! The bathroom floor was heated which was wonderful on your feet. The hotel is across the street from Fallsview casino and many restaurants. Free parking is great considering most hotels have a fee.

Location was perfect, right beside Fallsview Casino. Room was mostly clean, but bathroom had a bit of a smell. Also common elevator had an unpleasant odor.

We arrived at 10:20 pm and were told the hot tub and pool were closing at 10:30. We went to our room, which happened to overlook the pool, and people continued to swim until almost 11 pm. This was disappointing, as if we had known, we wouldve quickly changed and come down!

Full service breakfast. Good options, but very expensive to upgrade their options, almost $7 for an extra egg. Food was fresh and hot. Staff was great. Room was basic for almost $300 a night. No robes. Didn't see the indoor pool, so can't comment. Location is great if you want to go to the casino,or one of the event spaces. Lots of premium dining options close by.

the room was missing a chair do i could not sit at the desk and do my work. Apart from that, the heater had a max of 78 fahrenheit but the room was freezing. i could not sleep well due to the temperature of the room which was more like 70 and not 78. And lastly it says that check in is at 3pm??? i arrived at 430 pm and the room was still not ready i had to wait in the lobby 20 min to get the room key. It is a disorganized place that is cutting corners with the heating to save money. Will never return.

I found that there were a couple things I wasn’t satisfied regarding the cleanliness and care put into this room. First of all, the chair was ripped and broken and it wasn’t replaced after reported to the reception desk. The reception desk specifically said they were out of stock of chairs. The room wasn’t clean either, hair and other dirt on the beds. We also requested for any floor that’s not ground floor yet our request was neglected. The wallpaper in the room was also poorly done, ripping and not cleanly completed.

From check in to check out the staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant attached to the hotel also served great food! My daughter loved the chocolate strawberries that were complementary with the room. Would definitely go back.

No Microwave in a room

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room upon first entry smelled a bit like marijuana but that could have been nearby guests. The parking situation is a bit confusing as the original entry to the lot was blocked off and there were only paid parking attendants which had nothing to do with the hotel. After getting stuck in a 25 min detour (got caught in the tourism Christmas light traffic) finally made it back to the hotel (yes one wrong turn in the falls at Christmas time can make going 200m a half hour orand got it sorted. Our party of 3 was so very impressed with the overall experience. We did not eat at the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, we found ample parking, very easy access. The hallways leading to the front desk and elevators were beautifully decorated for the holidays, just added to our perfect stay. The room was perfect, the decor, the cleanliness, the beds and pillows. Access to the elevator, very quiet. Can't stress enough how pleased we were. The hot tub and sauna were perfect temperatures. Did not use the pool, looked very clean and great size. The staff were all very friendly. So close to walk to the casino, great restaurants and main area of the falls. Highly recommend. Will diffenitely return.

Room : Ceiling in the room had some cob webs but other than that it was nice. - walls were thin, we could hear people easily and they were talking at normal volume. - if your room faces the parking lot you will experience the lovely melody of thebman with the whistle. Hes doing his job but if you plan on sleeping during the day you need tv or music to drown him out.

The hotel in ok condition. It’s an old hotel, so you will see wall peeling off and chair. Place is across the casino Fallsview hotel. I asked for more towels and toilet paper but no one brought it to my room. Had yo go to front desk to get it. Other than that, good place to stay.

The food was excellent bar service was good the was clean i stayed there November 18 also the dsy i checked out i was denied my $250 but the attendant took $11 from it the guy came back said room smelled like smoke the room did not smell like smoke explained to the guy that there where other ppl outside are room faced the parking lot also when u go outside other ppl do smoke 🚬 they where very rude about it saying they are 100% against smoking and thst they are keeping the $250 i tried telling them we did not smoke in the room also the washroom wall can see nicotine spots also there was a guy painting the room next to me and the cleaning lady inspection of are room did not say anything about the room smelling like smoke then all of a sudden 10 mins later the guy from front desk said it did i was not happy about this so they took $11 from the $250 then kept the rest to themselves

The room was great but the floors were dirty when we walked on them. The pool and hot tub had a lot of dirty settled at the bottom. It’s important that the pool is clean especially when it’s winter and there isn’t much to do.

only one complaint was the heating / AC unit was not fully secure and there was a gap enough to see directly outside. Luckily it's was too cold or anything. No real impact on our stay.

The room was fine but the sink drain needs to be cleaned. It was giving a very bad smell. Only stayed one night so not worth changing rooms. Woke up to the clanging of dumpsters being emptied. But the price and location is good if you aren't looking to spend a lot.

Room : shower ceiling had previous water damage, no shower caps in washroom, toilet flushing was low advised the front desk that the toilet was clogged and nobody showed up to maintain.The location of the room was noisy . I would never allow a booking on the first floor again.

Unlike a fine wine, this hotel did not improve with age. It is overpriced, trading entirely on its location across from the casino. Inside, the room feels frozen in 1983 with a relic of an alarm clock, no USB ports, peeling walls, and a crumbling exterior. The management seems to have given up years ago. For the price they charge, this place is a disgrace.

Some of the staff should be given some lesson in courtesy & personal hygiene to guests especially the one who knocked on our door although the ‘do not disturb’ sign was on. Just asked when we’re leaving. Not even introducing herself. Not even a thank you! Another cleaning staff stinks that she leaves her ‘scent’ in the elevator every time we use it. We were there for 4 nights!

Opentions of adding breakfast cancelation

Everything was very good, great breakfast and overall experience. The only issue was that the office chair in the room was worn out and looked a bit bad. Other than that, the room, bathroom, and cleanliness were excellent. The front desk and breakfast staff were very nice, and we really enjoyed our stay. There was also plenty of parking space. The breakfast, worth $45, was definitely good value for money.

Room was clean and excellent crew. My coffeemaker was broken for three mornings. They thought it was fixed the first day but it failed every use. I had to go to the lobby restaurant all three days. Two days I paid, one day it was offered by the front desk. I had a filet mignon in the hotel restaurant, it was supposed to be 6 ounces but it sure didn't appear that weight. Was $100 for my wife and I and I think I would have been better off at McDonald's.

This hotel was excellent! Location wise, it’s the perfect distance between the falls and Clifton Hill. We had a leak from the room above ours on our first morning and I cannot say enough good things about how quickly they moved us to another room. They gave us breakfast and tickets to Skylon Tower. Whoever is running this hotel is doing a great job training their staff on how to deal with issues and make things right. I can honestly say if I’m ever in Niagara Falls again, I wouldn’t even consider staying at another hotel. Also, it’s probably one of the only hotels in town that offers free parking! That was a major selling point for me, considering some hotels (also without falls view) were charging upwards of $50/night. If you want a good location, clean and safe hotel, and friendly staff, this is the place for you.

It’s our first time at The Holiday Inn By The Falls but won’t be our last!! The room was spacious, clean and nicely updated . Hotel is centrally located to Casino with nice selection of restaurants nearby but they have an awesome bar/restaurant Coco’s right in hotel with delicious wood oven pizza’s ! A must try!

Also, the heater in the room didn't work, but it was so warm, it wasn't an issue. However, in the winter... I've stayed here before, and will stay again. Exceptionally clean, and close to the Falls. Also, unlike many hotels, there is not an additional parking charge.

did not use the pool. The check-in clerk was not very friendly. The Hotel was dirty, worn out as far as the furniture was concerned, the bar served watered down drinks and had torn-up chairs. The bathtub was not level and the slide resistant strips on the bottom were practically nonexistent. I will never stay at a Holliday Inn again. This was the second experience them and neither were very good. Now this contrasts with Holiday Inn Express which have been for the most part very good experiences.

We stayed at this Inn for a night and it was great. The place is a bit worn down but it’s clean, and it’s in a very convenient location within walking distance of the Falls, restaurants, etc. The staff were very friendly and pleasant and overall, while I can’t really speak to longer stays, I would definitely recommend it for short stays. The free parking was also definitely a bonus!

Staff were wonderful and made our stay very enjoyable! Breakfasts were good! Parking was included in the price and the location was very convenient. Only drawback was only one elevator was working and the other was out of order so when all the charter buses arrived the wait time for an elevator was quite long. Will definitely stay here again though!

Bathroom wasn't clean. Long black hairs in bath/shower. No bars of soap. Can't use soap out of a squirt bottle at shower height when you're sitting in the bath.

LOCATED IN A CENTRAL PLACE. THE HOTEL RESTAURANT CALLED COCO'S WAS EXCELLENT. THEIR PIZZA WAS ONE OF THE BEST THAT WE HAVE HAD. ONE PROBLEM WAS THE REFRIGERATOR IN THE ROOM. IT WOULDN'T GET COLD ENOUGH FOR MILK SO THEY TOLD US TO KEEP PUTTING ICE IN THE REFIGERATOR.

We loved the hotel, it's proximity to the OLG stage (5 minute walk), the free parking and the breakfast included. The only complaint we have is the service at Coco's. The food is excellent. I had the beef ribs and my husband had the fish and chips. I was served 4 huge ribs which were delicious. Took two home because I couldn't finish. The fish was two huge servings of thick fish. Delicious. Again half came home. The food was great but the service was terrible. I had finished my dinner before the fish n chips arrived. They are understaffed and it's a shame because the food was delicious. Breakfast was made to order and fabulous. Service was better in the morning.

Not worth the money for the visit. Beds are uncomfortable. Bathtub paint was all chipped. Floor going into room was sinking and on an angle. It was a tripping hazard as your sock or foot could get caught on the sinking floor board. We had to put the luggage rack over it so in the night when we had to go to the washroom, we didn’t trip. Staff was fine and accommodated room change.

Good, affordable place to stay near the falls and the casino. We were on the 6th floor and there was a constant banging noise, thankfully it subsided overnight, but it started up again around 8 am. It was annoying, but it wouldn’t stop me from staying here again if I return to Niagara Falls in the future.

The stay I'm sure would have been good if I was allowed to actually stay. I cannot comment on the property because of the inability to change it. The property can except my reservation as a donation since I was unable to change it.

Place was clean and i really liked the flooring instead of carpet. The balcony was great and we could watch the fireworks from it.

Short stay whilst visiting the falls. Hotel reasonably priced with in door and out door pools (although we didn’t have time to use them). Breakfast was included in our booking and went on to 11.30 am but was fairly average. The location was good with a few minutes walk to the Main Street, 15 minutes to the Falls and Clifton Hill. Overall a satisfactory stay for the cost

Across fron the casino and next door to jimmy buffets.i would of wished the indoor pool was warmer was cold..The outdoot pool was warmer than the indoor but was chilly beca it was nite time was cool.i would of liked better view from my balcony than a parking lot but none was available. And the guy blowing his whistle in the next parking lot day and late nite to get customers in his parking.lot was annoying. Had a great time and was better than staying at clifton hill!

I would like to point out the exceptional staff and management at this location. We arrived with our toddler 2 yr old and the room beside us had become occupied. Occupants were heavy pot smokers, which does not bother us one bit. But with my toddler and how bad our room stank we requested a new room. The moved us immediately and felt it should be noted how professional they were and respectful!! Thank you! We will be back :)

The location of the hotel was very convenient for everything. The only problem was they list the falls has a 8 minute walk. It is 8 minutes down a very steep hill. Coming back up it’s 25-30 minutes if you’re in average health.. Not recommend for people not in shape. Granted the hotel can’t control the shape of the hill but a little heads up would have been nice.

I liked that the room was quiet and peaceful. The wood floors are a plus! The bed was cozy and clean and lots of space. The difficult part was the parking.

It was very load in our room it sounded like some one moving furniture all the time. We never figured out where it was coming from. No microwave in our room was an issue for us. Great location close to the falls and fireworks

The hotel itself is outdated. The bathroom did not have a vent which was surprising. Good feature that there were no carpets in the room but laminate flooring. We ate once at the restaurant. The service was excellent. The servers and hostess were friendly and attentive. The food was average/below average in quality and taste.

Lovely hotel, fantastic staff room, nice and comfortable. We had a problem, but we sorted out very very quickly.

Also room had peeling, bathroom tub had a black rust mark, a pice of hardwood flooring was broken and missing. It should not be considered as a holiday inn? On the plus side excellent housekeeping on the 5th floor and very friendly and professional reception.

Our third stay on this trip and so far the best. We had some chocolate covered strawberries in our fridge for a nice surprise. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed, a view of Skyline Tower and if the tree off balcony wasn’t so tall we would’ve had a great view of fireworks. Breakfast was delicious sit down served meal- so nice and better than a buffet. Only recommendation is to update room decor- new pictures, lamps that match (had 4 different styles/colors), and add some towel bars to hang towels’

The hotel was clean and well maintained. The front desk staff were not the friendliest people, but the location was easy. The only thing I didn’t like was the constant noise of the blowing whistle from the parking lot next door.

Very good property at a reasonable price and handy distance to many attractions.

Staff is SUPER. Location is great with free parking! The staff went above & beyond to help us to make sure we are happy with the room. The hotel is getting updated. You can't get closer to falls/fireworks then this location. Room is updated. The common area still need an update. I would recommend the hotel for this price. If you want to spend more, there are better options.

The staff was very nice and place was clean. They have two pools- indoor and outdoor which was clean!! Room was good as well. Very clean, modern bathroom. I stayed in room with balcony which was great to let the breeze in! Will be coming back!!

The location of the hotel is great - right between the Horseshoe Falls and Clifton Hill, both walking distance. The parking was included and convenient. If you stay here, ask for a room poolside and not with the parking lot view, not so much for the better view but for a quieter stay. Parking attendants attempt to get people driving by to use the parking lot by endlessly blowing a whistle at them, it was super annoying. Overall the room was average-nice, and it was clean. However, the bathroom fan in our room did not work which was unpleasant.

Overall, I will stay here again. I liked the room, the location near the falls, the breakfast option and free parking. What i really liked was being abke to leave my car in the parking lot 4 hrs after check out.What i didnt like was the room not ready at check-in. The mattress was quite hard and the tv was the size of a computer monitor.

I like it’s very convenient and close to the places we plan to visit, but the room is so noisy, which is opposite to why I chose to stay in holiday inn. Most reviews said it’s quiet. No, it’s not. The noise of closing doors, people using the tap and large sound of someone dragging heavy objects outside were heard all night.

The staff was amazing, kind and very welcoming, free parking was a huge bonus, rooms were clean, and the hotel location was perfect, really enjoyed our stay.

Built was loud i never heard or experienced a hotel were i couldnt sleep because of the neighbors being heard due to wood floors above us. and the elevator right behind our Bedroom wall was also heard only slept for 1 hr very dissapointed and we couldnt be refunded due to 3rd larty purchases but its not the staffs fault they were really nice

Spacious and clean rooms.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was excellent. We loved having a balcony to check the outside weather, and a kitchen sink and counter outside the bathroom. Location was convenient to the falls. Overall a very classy experience. The only downside was the breakfast, which wasn't a great value. There were four of us, but our prepaid price only included the four adults and not our teen. That was an unexpected cost. Overall, though, I highly recommend this hotel for a family visiting Niagara Falls.

Extremely disappointed. I got a balcony room for 400 dollars and it was next to an elevator and next the exit door. Worst part was the balcony wasn’t a real balcony it was on the first floor and wasn’t enclosed like the definition of a balcony and It was also next to the dumpsters. I was shocked and disappointed after spending 400 for that.
