    The room was very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool is a nice addition, and the breakfast has great options. Overall a pleasant stay. Terrible experience with the front desk, very unwelcoming at check-in. The 200$ incidental hold on my credit card was confirmed and charged after my first night at the hotel. The manager confirmed a system error on his end, but so far it's been a month and I haven't received any refund, even after spending hours on the phone with the customer service. I do not recommend.

    Nice clean well located property with all needed amenities. Breakfast was good. Overall a great stay. Ms. Satveer at the reception desk was amazing, helpful and polite in communication when we went to drop the luggage as we arrived early, she helped us to store the luggage. Good work by the staff during the breakfast time. Thank you While checking in, Mr. Brian was at the reception desk. I provided my passport for identification but he still kept on asking for local address proof. I asked him how the property deals with international visitors which he never answered and I felt he was harassing us just as we are not from Canada. It was very strange and humiliating to stand at the reception desk for around 10 mins before he gave us the keys. The Management should look into this and teach the staff how to behave and deal with customers. Marriott is a well known brand and employees like him leave a very negative impression on the customer.

    Convenient, 15 minutes bus ride away from Go Station. Walking distance to both Clifton Hill and the Falls. Room The room is overall clean and welcoming. The only unclean spot is at the shower, a bit of black mould on the edges there and some hair from the previous guests left on its wall. Noise Issues Soundproofing needs some work. Door doesn’t block sound and every time guests next door close their door would make a startling “bang”. The walls are thin and don’t block sounds as I can clearly hear that the guests next door were having s*x at the AMs. The low rumbling plumbing was audible and the vibration it makes is distracting. You won’t get a good sleep if you’re a light sleeper. Breakfast It’s the best breakfast among hotels at similar price points. They’ve a wide selection of hot food: cage-free eggs, omelettes, french toasts, waffles, home fries, sausage and bacon. 5 types of cereals, yogurt, milk cartons, bagels, bread slices as well as various toppings such as almonds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, raisins, chocolate chips for your waffle/yogurt toppings. And of course they’ve the usual coffee and tea as well as orange, apple and grapefruit juices. The dinning area is spacious and open, with lots of windows to let in sunlights and the breakfast time was an extensive 4 hours (6:30-10:30) so you won’t have to worry about the crowd or needing to wake up too early for breakfast. Overall great hotel, 1 star off for the noise and cleanliness issues listed above.

    When we reported this to the receptionist, the staff took it very lightly. At checkout, we asked if management had been informed, and were told that “they will look into it.” The only compensation offered was free parking for one night, which felt dismissive and completely inappropriate for a security breach of this level. This experience was pathetic, insulting, and deeply disappointing. We chose Fairfield by MARRIOTT because of the brand’s reputation for safety and professionalism. Instead, our belongings — and our family’s privacy — were left exposed for 10 hours on New Year’s Eve, one of the busiest nights of the year. This stay has seriously damaged our trust in the Marriott brand.

    1) No complimentary bottles of water offered 2) Pool area was chilly during our stay, and the pool itself wasn't heated. If you plan on taking a dip during the colder months, good luck. 3) The wooden bedframes in our room stuck out slightly beyond the mattresses; we ended up bumping into them a bit specially when the room eas dark. 4) Breakfast was hit or miss, but at least it was complimentary with our booking Overall the location and the clean rooms were the standout factors during our stay.

    We very much enjoyed our stay. Parking waa great, helpful that we could go in and out of the lot. Room waa comfortable, only complaint was that the heat/air was very loud. Breakfast was very good and the pool was nice. Perfect walkable area with kids. Would stay again

    in the bowl. So our washroom was not cleaned. It was disgusting and there are no toilet brushes so I had to use my pee to clean it off and it still was there. Took a couple more times to clean off the poop stains.

    We had a truly excellent stay! Our room was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was just what we needed to get going on our day. The entire staff was great, but a special mention goes to Bryan, who checked us in when we arrived and is fantastic! He was friendly, courteous, and incredibly welcoming. His excellent service made the whole place feel more like a family-run B&B than a big chain hotel. Highly recommend for a comfortable and welcoming experience!

    We provided a CC for the deposit and I expected the Admin charge to be added. Upon check out, I received an email detailing a $30 per night charge for parking, billed to my CC. We weren't told this at check in, it also wasn't anwhere in the details on the Expedia posting.     Brian at the front desk was helpful and friendly. We mentioned a couple of minor issues in the room 807, and no sooner had we returned to the room, he’d sent Daryl, a maintenance man to our door…he was also friendly. We also dealt with a young man and young woman at the desk, didn’t get their names but they were also helpful and friendly. They called cabs for us numerous times, suggested restaurants and tourist attractions. The buffet breakfast was great, lots of choices, and staff were constantly refilling. I appreciate that breakfast was included…we didn’t have to get up and out and find a place to eat. Room was neat and clean, well-equipped with microwave, mini fridge, coffee machine/coffee, safe, ironing board, iron, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. Pool…water was on the warm side. Exercise room. Ice available. Small tuck shop. Parking for a fee.

    Really enjoyed the staff’s attentiveness. Breakfast had a variety of choices. It was close to everything or the bus stop if you can’t walk much. So much to do and see and eat in the area. The room was clean, nice size, and ours was a handicap accessible room. You do have to pay for parking which is not uncommon these days. But it is in and out parking at no extra cost.

    Perfect spot families with kids. In walking distance to Clifton Hill and the falls. Also on the blue line for the wego bus which is good for a ride home after a busy day. Would also like to shout out the breakfast team. They provide a good selection that rotates and keep the whole area clean and tidy! It definitely is worth staying here for the savings on breakfast plus clean and convenient rooms!

    For the price I paid for the night $526 I would expect better quality toilet paper! The A/c to be working and not making such loud noise turning off that would wake me every few minute. Didn't like that I'm a Canadian being the hotel is in Canada and got charged in US dollars and it wasn't clear about it on the booking site! If that was the case i could have stayed in the US side. Make zero sense. So booking it showed $387 but when checking my banking paid $526 this isn't no Hilton to be paying that. And not to sleep due to the A/c. It’s a shame cause the bed is comfortable and pillows are great. But this would be my first and last this hotel make no sense for Canadians having to pay in USD and being in Canadian soil! To feel like I have a new born this morning from lack of sleep really sucks when this is a moms and dads get away trip.

    L’hôtel est propre, tout est accessible à pied à 5-10 minutes, le staff est vraiment gentil. Le déjeuner est un buffet avec quand même pas mal de choix (crêpes, œuf, bacon, saucisses, bagel, croissants etc). Le seul point négatif que je vois, c’est l’air climatisé dans la chambre qui est extrêmement bruillant. On devait l’éteindre pour dormir. Mais dans l’ensemble je recommande.

    We really liked the breakfast at this location. It was also close to Fallsview Avenue as well as Lindy’s Lane making it a good location. The fitness center, and the pool could use an upgrade, but all in all a great experience.

    The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect. My only complaint was the breakfast was not great. It was also cold. Other than that our stay was awesome.

    To make things worse, the room was barely cleaned. The trash bin was left in front of the door, the bed was not properly arranged, and the bathroom was clearly not cleaned. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I’m shocked at the lack of responsibility shown by both housekeeping and front desk staff. I expected much better from a Marriott property, and this experience has left me deeply disappointed.

    Decent place, good breakfast, really nice staff. Room was relatively clean but some stuff was very covered in dust, we were beside linen room and in the morn the door to if kept slamming shut. Check out us 11, felt rushed and with 3 kids that was a bit annoying. Parking should be included.

    The room was extremely small, especially considering it was meant to accommodate four people. With a baby, there was no space to even park a stroller. Additionally, the iron was broken, and the thermostat wasn’t functioning properly. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay at Fairfield.

    1. Our AC unit stopped working. After staff tried fixing it, it failed again. We had to change rooms. These types of things happen but are annoying. 2. I wasn’t aware that they charge $20 per night for parking. Came as a surprise when I got the bill. 3. Breakfast was okay with some food items being good and others being just meh. Good location - lots of restaurants near by and within walking distance to the view of the American falls.

    Rooms were not ready and smelled heavily of cigarettes. Staff tried to blame it on the smoking cleaning lady, that because she smells she transfers the smell to the room. They were giving me attitude like it was my fault.

    Property was clean and recently refurbished. Location was a little bit of a walk to the falls but certainly fine. I like that it was out of the hustle and bustle. My only complaint was the lack of knowledge or training of the people at the front desk. It was aparent they were not from the area or not trained to know how to get to any of the attractions or any way you had to go. We did not want to deal with driving from New York city so we took Amtrak. They told me to open up Google maps and everybody drives here. Then they would tell me just take an Uber. I can't imagine they don't deal with this on an almost daily basis. I was absolutely not the only guest frustrated with them. The zone rep needs to look into this. Most of the guests probably go to the same places so the staff needs to be trained or have literature to help them. Hopefully this will help other guests in the future.

    Great location. Didn't expect to have to scrape ice out of the refrigerator to try ro get it to be cold; it's still not after 3 hours. And, I'm not sure who was in the room before us, but they clearly like glitter, because it's on the floor and the only chair in our room😕

    Had to change rooms could see shower was not cleaned. Floors in second room didn’t seem clean, finger prints on window, microwave and bar area not wiped down! Not recommended to stay here!

    The hotel was in close proximity to restaurants and all tourist attractions. The hotel and rooms were clean and well maintained. Rooms were abit small and poor lighting in bedroom area. Great buffet breakfast.

    Good hotel, very clean and spacious room. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Complimentary breakfast is good with a nice selection. Great location, less than 10 min walk to Clifton Hill and close to many restaurants. Wego bus transport to all attractions right outside the hotel. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
