    Went through Expedia. Bf and I live 3 hrs away and spend a night in the falls when we visit. Reserved king bed w/ Jacuzzi for $49. Showed up and after talking with the owner, staff tried to convince us that I only ordered a plain room for that price. I figured he meant no Jacuzzi. Upset, but it was late so let it slide. Get to the room. Two queens. I said no, we reserved a king. He said King would be $20 more. I said no it's what I reserved, he said that has Jacuzzi, so will be $20 more. I said I won't pay it, and that I ordered a king (bf is 6'1) he said there is only 1 King on property and it has Jacuzzi, I said yes that's what I reserved, if Expedia has wrong price you need to talk to them! Honour room. Then he tried to tell me, while I was booking the room online, some one booked it in office. Lol but you just tried to get me to pay $20 more, so it's obviously still available! Ended up with a queen (with a king head board lol) with Jacuzzi. Tub was great. Clean towels. Mattress was horrible, bathroom ceiling falling apart, literally, tv didn't work, no conditioner, and I cut my foot because it was missing the carpet to tile threshold, and there were two nails sticking out! Plus all the people who live there are shady af.

    I would not be upset if I had paid the regular fee for the room but due to the time of yr our room price was insanely high. We were charged an additional $25 to check in an hr early as I wanted to watch the hockey game. However, out TV didn't work as i was told "it is too cold outside for the TVs to work?" I asked for a refund on the $25 but apparently this is a "seasonal issue" and not a "hotel issue". I could go on a 30 page rant about this place but the main concerns were; -very dirty -freezing cold rooms (room was 12 degrees) -lack of staff/rude staff -felt unsafe, would never bring kids here

    booked 4 wkends; all wkends something wrong but the worst no screen in bathroom 14 wasps get in stung 2 times when I drew back the shower curtain @ 5:30am. owner could care less no compensation. This place is a dive and never again. Wanted to leave after the first wkend but cannot cancel due to booking through Expedia no cancellation policy to get best price. I will never use Expedia again.

    The receptionist was very welcoming and accommodating. However there were many things wrong. The room we were given, didn't find out until late at night the a/c we had turned on didn't work and cool room while we were out. The hard wood floor hadn't been swept. Unable to work TV as no instrictions. We changed rooms next day. A/C worked, second bed cover had dirt on it. No washr basketry and No need to respond, will see once send out schedule, thanks. delivered despite being told one would be. Again no instructions how to work TV but after about 45' someone came to work. No blanket.

    It was bad my girlfriend was bleeding because the carpet have nails from the transition carpet to tails it was bad Is not nice to see some one blood and no body should expect walking in to a room and have so many nails sticking up from the carpet and I did ask the hotel reseption if we can get a room where we couldn't get hurt and a room to be safe they answered no so we had to astay in a room very dangerous not suitable for anybody and I have a pictures from the nails on the carpet I'm truly very disappointed for what my girlfriend pain

    When we arrived there was only one staff member and she didn't seem to be very knowledgeable. Went to our room, TV didn't work properly and she had no idea what to do. Worse service ever, no plans to ever return.

    Despite it being a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke. There was only a flat blanket on the bed with a musty bed cover over it. The walls are paper thin and I could hear the man in the next rom coughing all night, using the shower, and when he and his partner got "cozy".

    We had to ask for the light over the jet tub to be repaired plus to get the tub to work. I had to take out my own garbage the second day. It was nice for we only had to sleep in it. Very close to the WeGo bus which we used everyday. Very informative about what to see but for the adult tickets we had to go to Travel lodge to get them.

    I did my online research for motels in this area and with my budget isn't easy. I made this choice of the Candlelight Inn. Glad I did and Id stay there again. Friendly staff, the rooms were clean, there were several families staying there. It was quiet. When you compare them to other motels with the same price this one has a nice pool with chairs and grass around it. A lot of them I considered, looked very rundown or not very appealing as drove by them going to the falls. I'd recommend them. Safe choice!

    They told us that all rooms were full but when we got there only 2 rooms were in use, all the others were empty. We weren't told that there was a security deposit, we got told it would be returned in 3 business days and it's been 2 weeks and it still hasn't been refunded. Our first hotel room's bed was broken so we got moved to another room. Room service didn't sweep any of the bedrooms we were in. One room had dust on it's furniture. Wifi never worked. Would not suggest staying here.

    The place and room aspect were not what we expected from the photos: old and not maintened construction inside and outside the rooms, rooms carpets and furniture were dirty, the water in the bathroom looked oily... Besides we had to pay an extra fee for our 17 years old son without being informed ealier. I will defenitely not recommend to stay there, even for one night!

    L'horreur... ne vous presentez jamais à cet hotel !!! Outre les tapis plus qu'infecte, l'état general de la chambre, les bestioles dans la salle de bain et j'en passe... cette bâtisse devrait tout simplement être détruite, on ne comprend pas qu'un etablissement comme celui-là puisse mëme avoir une étoile ! Et que dire du proprietaire qui nous a dit de baiser son derriere puisque nous lui demandions un remboursement et que nous etions prets à accepter une pénalité... cette chambre nous a coûté 358$ pour une nuit...! Oubliez ça, ne vous presentez jamais à cet endroit, dormez dans votre voiture ou retournez directement chez vous... vous y serez mieux traités !

    Would stay here again at regular price, but not at elevated summer weekend prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Not happy about an unknown additional person charge added by the hotel after booking (search and booking done with 3 adults, but third adult incurred a hidden charge), which increased the price even more without notice or option to cancel. would pay up to $90 on a summer weekend in the future, but not more. Restaurant was surprisingly very, very good.

    Je n'ai pas l'habitude de répondre aux évaluation des hôtels où je vais mais là, il faut que je le fasse. Cet hôtel est très salle. Ils m'ont chargé en plus 95$ de surcharge pour mes 2 enfants. Leur politique de prix est en fonction d'être bien classé par des sites comme hotel.com mais avec la surcharge qu'ils chargent si vous êtes plus de 2 les classe parmi les plus chers. La TV ne fonctionnait pas, l'air climatise seulement à moitié et avec une odeur désagréable. Il y avait une poussière sale sur les meubles. Ils n'ont même pas fait le ménage ni changé mes draps pendant les 2 jours que je suis restés. J'ai dû me plaindre pour avoir 4 nouvelles serviettes, avec savon et shampoo. Ils m'ont dit à la réception que la femme de ménage ne travaillait pas cette journée. Nous avons même trouvé des petites bêtes noires à travers le tapis. En résumé, un désastre total et toute la famille avait hâte de quitter cet endroit.

    I would not recommend this motel. For the price one can do better. While it was clean and the beds were comfortable, the room had many signs of wear and neglect. TV did not work, no chair for desk, A/C hard to use, lampshades stained and shoddy, ceiling paint in bathroom peeling, etc. etc.

    We are not picky travellers so we were satisfied with our stay. We were just looking for a place to sleep while visiting Niagara and the hotel met that requirement. Not the nicest facility but good location. Didn't appreciate paying an additional $35 for my 14-year-old who was considered an adult.

    We were not impressed wth overall experience this place is pretty shady most of the rooms are rented out to people who stay there all the time some were workers from away but there are a few women of the night that stay there .The rooms are dated , housecleaning is not on a regular basis,carpet was dirty , bathtub was groose, wouldn't let my 4 month old grandson lay on the bedspread it was dirty , we spend 3 days there our daughter refused to swim in the pool it wans't cleaned our intire stay .when we were placing our grandson in the truck there was a condom on the ground.The staff was great they helped us out on a few things the cable wouldn't work the lady that cleanes does it all alone not much gets done with one person cleaning 68 units we were somewhat imbarrassed to say we stayed there

    The room and general condition of the Motel was poor. Many things such as the toilet, air conditioner, and carpets needed repair or replacement. exterior stairs were in poor/dangerous condition. Cleanliness of the room itself was very poor. I have, on occasion, stayed in motel rooms in similar conditions but the cost was always less than half the price of the Candlelight. Additionally, they charged $25.00 to allow the dog to stay supposedly for cleaning! Yeah, right.

    Stayed here from July 8-9 for a hockey tournament with my fiancé. Honestly, I was absolutely SHOCKED at how impressed I was with the hotel/motel. When I phoned twice earlier in the day I spoke to two different ladies that were not only extremely warm and friendly; but, very helpful. We found out that the travel lodge across the street owned the Candlelight and they were to help us check out due to us checking out in the middle of the night. The room was very big, had 2 queens beds, a mini fridge and microwave. The window faced the back of the hotel and didn't have a curtain but it wasn't a big deal because we weren't spending much time during the stay. One bed had a light yellow stain so we slept in the other one, again not a big deal. The television had great quality and plenty of channels. The only flaw was we asked for a non-smoking room and when we entered the room it smelled of old cigarettes like nicotine really but, we survived. I would definitely stay here again! If you're looking for fantastic service, a place to rest your head, shower, and watch some tv at an affordable price and are in Niagara Falls to adventure, I would recommend this hotel. They had a clean pool, plenty of foods, stores and attractions near by and Clifton Hill was just up the street. Once again, we were really impressed. Don't judge a book by its cover moment for sure!

    Bonjour nous ne sommes pas rester plus d'une heure dans cet endroits insalubre, c'etait répugnant il y avait une odeur infecte, le rebord de la fenêtre était remplie de moisissure noire l'air climatisé ne fonctionnais pas et étais remplie d'une épaisse couche de poussière dans la salle de bain encore moisie et saleté de plus quand nous sommes arrivés il y avait personne a la réception on a attendue plus de 5 minutes avant qu'une personne arrive. La piscine étais hors fonction , on a perdu tout notre argent nous avions demandé de nous faire remboursé 2 nuits sur 4 ils ont refusé et bien nous sommes partis de cet endroits d'horreur

    I was fooled by the nice photo on your website and did not realize that I have known this hotel for years since I lived and worked in the area. It is full of monthly renters on welfare and has not been renovated in decades, if ever. They are still using KEYS! The room was filthy and smelled awful. The carpet was covered in stains and should have been replaced long ago. I was then totally astounded when they tried to charge me an additional $73 for my two teenage children even though I declared them online and paid in advance. There was nothing on my receipt saying they could do this and they tired to show me something from a different website to justify the charge. We had to send our children to stay with friends and they didn't even offer to let them use the pool. There was zero chance we were going to pay a penny more for this dive. The night clerk was nice and helpful even after the initial conflict and I got the impression that it wasn't her idea to try gouging us. However, this wasn't enough to make the stay enjoyable in any way.

    When we showed up we were told it was going to be 15min, it ended up being more than 1/2 hr. Two of 3 lights were not working, air conditioner was dirty, tub had to be cleaned (hair and soap film) Also when leaving final check, found empty water bottle and pair of socks under a bed. Sad that they had one lady doing the housekeeping.

    The location, cleanliness and staff were exactly what we hoped. The price was exceptional for a jetted tub room. The restaurant they recommended next door was excellent and had live out door entertainment which we really enjoyed. We had a very relaxing time.

    What can I say about this run down Travelodge owned motel ... let's see ... no iron or ironing board , no phone , no pool , no bath towels , no garbage can in the sleeping area , hole in the wall where hydro was fed from ... T.V. was crazy to try to operate , front office doesn't open until 9 am , ( and that's a loose time ) . Honestly , I can say I've never stayed in a worse place in this country of ours . I can imagine it being a pretty good place about 60 years ago but rusting "I" beams outside the door and everywhere , loose broken stairs that a guest could possibly trip and fall on ...

    Rooms and grounds were clean. Nothing fancy but large room was comfortable for our family of 5. No coffee machine in the room which is unusual and wasn't great. Fridge and Microwave in room. Wifi, water and AC worked great. Check in was slow and no one was around at 10:20 on a Sunday to check us out. I would definitely stay again.
