Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its family-friendly amenities, particularly the pool area, and its convenient location near Niagara Falls. However, guests frequently complain about noise, especially around the pool area, and some find the property to be outdated or in need of maintenance.

The room was great, 3 beds were just what we needed Since the room had 3 beds it would have been nice to have 3 chairs in the room so all guests would be comfortable

The cleanliness, the facilities and everything the hotel had to offer. Our room was at the very end, we would have preferred it closer to the courtyard. The $20 parking fee each night.

Great staff and lots of fun for the kids. I liked security in the evening there The room didn’t have working AC
- 3/5
The rooms seem to have the same attitude. The toilet in our room needed a new flushing mechanism and although replaced quickly, still was running every so once in a while. The heating in room worked erratically, one hour only blowing cooler air and another hot air hours later. The staff that we did enncounter were friendly and helpful. They were one redeeming feature.
- 2/5
The pool and hot tub area was full of very noisy unsupervised children. Hot tubs were usually overcrowded. Was hoping for a relaxing weekend and was disappointed with the experience. Also had to pay a lot of money for parking only to have to park far from room.
- 4/5
Clean room, staff were very nice. We stayed in courtyard but will not do that again WAY TOO LOUD with pool and playground.
- 3/5
Way overcrowded and parents drunk everywhere. Kids screaming. Not a nice place to spend a nice time away with family.
- 5/5
The hotel is amazing and staff so professional and friendly. A little mistake on not giving is a courtyard first floor room that i had requested but had given us a second floor courtyard which did not work as i am handicapped and no elevator in just this one area of the hotel. The manager immediately gave us a great room and took off 50 dollars for the misunderstanding. Really great experience.
- 5/5
Spacious room
- 4/5
The property is outdated, but clean and well maintained. The broom was very brown and beige. All of the staff there was exceptional! They were very kind, went out of their way to offer help, and made the place feel very friendly and welcoming.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, busy hotel great for kids
- 4/5
The room was cute, I didn't spring for the larger tub or anything. As someone who grew up in Niagara, I'm all too used to the "tourist tax", I just wish there was a way for us former locals to avoid it. The staff were FANTASTIC, the front desk was great, the pub & its food were wonderful, & despite us sleeping in, housekeeping did an amazing job. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is I found it odd how the hotel couldn't accept anything but a credit card. In this day & age, debit should be accepted to pay. I get a credit card hold for incidentals, as virtually all hotels require, but the fact you can't pay via debit felt "fishy". Otherwise, would definitely recommend staying here.

Was our best experience yet at the Best Western Plus Cairn Croft Hotel! Any family looking to stay in Niagara Falls must visit and enjoy all their many accommodations! We will be coming back regularly!

we didn’t stay at the hotel . Way to many adults drinking , around the pool . No where to sit around pool , I packed my family up and left .
- 5/5
Everything was amazing clean and felt at home
- 4/5
No specia comment, we do enjoyed staying in your hotel, would come again for sure.
- 5/5
Great option for family with kids when on a budget, indoor pool and hot tubs, arcades playroom even if it's small with 7 or 8 options it was still fun for our kids age ranging from 8 to 14. They can improve it if they invest in a table tennis
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
My one concern is that the mini-fridge was not cold whatsoever. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but it would be nice to be able to store perishables in there. Wifi was passable. An Ethernet port would've amazing; one day perhaps. The building is conveniently located right next to a major grocery store, so it's very convenient for the budget conscious. Plenty of fast food places surrounding it too, in addition to the in-house restaurant and live events hosted there. The fireplace in my room was the cherry on top. I wish I could've stayed longer.

Didn’t clean the room two days in our room included dirty towels didn’t replace new one for next day. Lady came very late afternoon to clean room but someone took nap. In bathroom. The heater is too close to toilet it feels burns on leg. So use towel to cover leg. Staff are nice and easy talk to. Not expect about parking fee. Tub and pool are nice comfortable temperatures. But too many young kids in hot tub. It should be adult only for their relax time.
- 5/5
Great fun with the kids, clean rooms.

Clean room. Easy access

Room was outdated, draft from the front door which leads right outside was quite cold. Was a nice family getaway, lots of different spaces to explore and the restaurant attached was nice. We had a great weekend! I would return!
- 4/5
Very clean and modern room. The pool was beautiful, and the staff were all very friendly!

Front staff at check in and check out were great. Friendly and helpful. The security guard on the Wednesday night was unneccessarily rude and hostile for no reason. We were at the patio table just outside our door playing a game. There was 3 of us trying to play a game of sorry and as there was 3 of us we had pulled one of the patio chairs over for the extra person to sit at our table from an unoccupied room beside us. Security came and told my friend to get up and told us we could not have the 3rd chair blocking the hallway and only 2 chairs were allowed to be there. I explained that we were just borrowing it and would definitely put it back as soon as our game was finished which it would have been in under 10 minutes. He just told us rudely "No! that we were not allowed to have the chair there and we were blocking the isle." It was literally after 10:30pm so there was very little foot traffic and we were moving if needed for the few people who did go by. A rule is a rule I guess which I can appreciate but this just felt like soneone in a power trip for mo reason. His tone and way it was said was not friendly or even understanding to say "sorry its a safety hazard to have a 3rd chair there so we are unable to have the chair in the isle. Sorry to intrupt your game but could you move your game inside the room or please put the chair back as soon as your game is finished and please remember we cannot have 3 there again. He was just plain rude period.
- 5/5
Nice spacious room on the top floor away from elevators. The room was clean and the check in went smoothly! Great meal at the local restaurant.
- 4/5
The room was good, staff were awesome. However, the number of adults using the hit tubs with drinks was appallingly. Apparently reading is a lost art. The entire hotel was clean and great. But I wish staff would enforce the no drinking at the pool side
- 5/5
Excellent service at front desk

Room was clean and staff were nice. However I prepaid to do virtual golf and was told we could play but when we got there they had no space for us. That was disappointing

Another great stay at the Best Western Plus Cairn Croft Hotel. I was brought to this exact same hotel when I was a child and now I bring my children here. It’s very nostalgic and means a lot every stay. It’s been upgraded with golf simulators and such but still feels the same as when I was a kid. Thank you and I recommend the visit if you’re still in the area. A+

- 5/5
Everything runs smooth. Place is very family-friendly.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel, spotless with a beautiful pool. The breakfast for a small additional fee was really great. The reception was very welcoming. The kids had so much fun in the arcade, play structure, hot tubs and pool. Stay in the courtyard if you can.
- 2/5
Parking is $20 (plus tax extra) per night, which is ridiculous since its no where near the falls and appears to be a cash grab. I dont believe they even checked if you paid for parking anyway. There are no attractions near it to justify the cost. The night desk staff was wearing a trench coat the whole time (on the 3 nights instayed there) and spent just as much time outside smoking at front entrance as at the desk. The rooms were super noisy as there was a kids hockey team who ran the halls at night. Did not order the breakfast...would not stay there again
- 5/5
Nice size and clean room. Excellent bed. Tower king room.
- 5/5
Amazing oasis pool courtyard open til 10/11 pm which was very convenient that it was right outside our room. we also had our room upgraded to a better view at no cost , the staff were amazing and friendly
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 5/5
Everything was awesome
- 1/5
Completely deceiving, nothing like gouging your customers, will never return!
- 3/5
Parking fee is $20 per day. However, if nothing is done to your car and you have to park it yourself, why charge for it? Staff is knowledgable about what they offer. The fireplace in the room makes you ignore some other details of updating that need to be done. I would stay here again if I was on a budget weekend trip.
- 4/5
Unable to use either hot tub! 2 families with a bunch of small kids totally took them over for all three day/nights! They were diving and snorkeling in the hot tubs!! Kids were allowed to run wild and were knocking on guests doors! Talked to the staff! Nothing changed!!
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet place to enjoy and explore.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Excellent pool and hot tub area
- 3/5
We got unfortunately a clogged toilet, but the staff was good.
- 5/5
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Have already booked our next stay here.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay at Best Western! The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast had a great variety. Excellent value for the price — would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Located is good proximity to the falls. Pool and hot tub tidy. Lol area highlight of the stay.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay. Very convenient
- 4/5
When it’s cold outside it is lovely to have a warm and inviting area full of trees inside to spend time. It was great except big loud groups congregated on our levels patio outside our door. About a dozen men, for three nights. They left and then it was the long weekend and it was literally screaming kids filling the pool and hot tubs from early morning until late at night. Maybe keep hot tubs adults only? We’d stay in the front part of the building next time and not in the pool building. Cleaning staff was lovely but over 9 nights we never knew if they were cleaning or not. If we said we needed towels, we got towels but no bed made. It was weird. But a pretty good stay. Loved the restaurant but it was a bit pricey.
- 5/5
Clean room comfortable bed good view
- 4/5
We ended up parked at the Fall and take WEGO bus. The facility is dated, but well maintaince and clean. My kids (10 and 12 yr old) love the arcade, the Pool and resturant for breakfast. All staffs are friendly alway with smiling. Just small errors in the system but not the hotels' fault. Few families booked few rooms for gathering. but not disturbing. But gave us a idea for next family gathering!
- 5/5
Amazing hotel for staycation with kids
- 5/5
Great easy understanding staff amazing manager beautiful rooms nice pool and jungle gym
- 5/5
Great family oriented property! Loved that they had so much on site for the kids to do. The pool area is amazing along with the courtyard area where parents can sit and watch if they don’t want to swim!
- 5/5
Amazing stay. Great location, near all attractions.
- 5/5
For first time my son and I stayed here. Of course we will stay again. We are happy and satisfied.
- 5/5
Very clean room. Great staff and will definitely visit again.
- 4/5
We booked two rooms. They were OK except that the non slip grips in the bath in Room 137 were coming adrift, and in both rooms there are no safety grab bars in the bath tubs. Perhaps these could be added to certain rooms were more elderly customers might be placed.

We would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
The best part of the stay was the communication with the reception staff. They were aware of our late arrival and were very gracious and friendly.
- 5/5
Nice clean property with lots of things to do like swimming pool arcade for the kids, sports bar, game room and etc. Nice polite staff.
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Convenient location, very close to our tourist destinations. Most staff are courteous. You must budget a lot of time for the complimentary breakfast. It's made to order, which was nice, but the service was slow (almost an hour from sitting down to finishing). Portions were VERY HUGE! The building is outdated but very clean. If you have young kids, they will definitely enjoy the indoor playground and pool.
- 4/5

- 5/5
The management and staff were super helpful! Thank you Erin and Izzy. Very relaxing enjoyable experience.
- 5/5
Great quite place with lots of dining options right outside the doors. Also a grocery store right next door. Loved the Korean bbq place that's a 30 second walk from the hotel. The enclosed court yard with pool and playground is an amazing adition. Also the game room keeps kids busy.
- 5/5
We always liked the staff professional service. Kudos kerp the good work.
- 4/5
Staff were great, especially Emily at front desk and Brandon in maintenance!
- 4/5
Staff were exceptional
- 3/5
The restaurant at the hotel is phenomenal. Staff at hotel was nice. The pool and hot tub were great for the kids. Tons of groups of people outside the hotel doors on the outside of the hotel drinking shooting dice and non-stop smoking weed which filled the room constantly. Wasn't thrilled about that seeing we had children in the room. Also $20 for parking at a hotel that you paid for seems wrong.
- 5/5
Very comfortable bed; I slept better than I have in a long time. Very nice hotel with clean rooms and balcony over looking the indoor pool which was also well maintained and beautiful!
- 5/5
Overall had a good experience. The tub had a drainage issue. They offered us another room for the inconvenience. Friendly staff.
- 4/5
Me and my husband did an overnight stay here while going to a concert in Toronto. The hotel staff was very friendly, the check-in process was so easy and even though the hotel itself is slightly dated, everything in the hotel was ridiculously clean. The bed and pillows were a 10/10 and so was their restaurant, Doc Magilligan's. We might have stayed longer if we knew they had a state of the art golf simulator in the lobby, but we will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Niagara!
- 3/5
I didnt like how far it is from clifton hills and bus so expensive and the playground is so small pool was very cold 1 of the hot tubs was broken and to say the least breakfast limited they should have continental breakfast heated pool.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 4/5
The staff was lovely and helpful. We ate in the pub and the service and the food were both wonderful. The hotel was a little tired, but it was clean and welcoming. Parking was easy, but the neighborhood is a little run down. We did walk about, but only because I was traveling with my husband - I might not have had I been alone or with my mom.
- 4/5
Loved the courtyard and how fun it was for my children. The carpet in the room was old and but excellent staff.
- 4/5
the toilet is for kids. kind of small.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Lovely staff
- 2/5
The 80's courtyard was very cool, but once there it was run down, worse for wear. The location was sketchy. Just wasn't worth the trip
- 5/5
Very clean, great staff, pool and play area were fantastic
- 5/5
Great place to stay for families. We really enjoyed our 4 night stay and first visit to Niagara. You will still need a bus or car to get to the falls / Clifton hill, but this is a good deal and very pleasant
- 3/5
It’s far away from all the action in Clifton hill , with that much money I paid I would have stayed on the falls
- 4/5
Pool and kids play area are great
- 5/5
Good ambience, family friendly, safe and very clean.
- 3/5
I didn’t like that I had to pay for parking and there were not any available parking spots in the property, they told me to park somewhere else (by McDonald’s) but I was paying for parking, so that was a little odd and frustrating for me.

Le resto de l'hotel excellent et le service impeccable
- 4/5
This is a great property. There is a pool and hot tub (though one of the hot tubs was out of service). The rooms were comfortable and had a fridge which was a plus, but it was VERY loud. The way the property is designed makes you hear all of the courtyard/pool noise until 11pm. The front desk staff is very helpful and sweet, and the breakfast food was amazing. Parking was $25 so that was more than we expected, especially since we needed to pay for parking down at Clifton Hill. Overall it was a good property and we would likely stay again.
- 5/5
This is the perfect location when taking the grandchildren with you for a hotel stay. There is a pool, a play area and arcade all on the premises within the same area, which makes it so much fun for the grandkids and safe for watching them. It is like staying at your own oasis, with the multiple trees and plenty of lounge chairs and table to sit at while keeping an eye on them. The restaurant in the hotel has something for everyone on the menu. It is a great place for bringing your family or sitting around with your friends for a few drinks. I ask my grandchildren every year what place they want to stay at when coming to Niagara Falls, and they always say Cairn Croft with no hesitation
- 5/5
A good family friendly property near all tourist attractions of Niagara and good restaurants.
- 5/5
What I liked about the property is it was clean and quiet.
- 5/5
Super nice beds
- 5/5
The room was all okay, the central part of the hotel is absolutely fantastic (pool, spas, terrace, arcade room, children playgrounds, TVs to watch sports, etc.), the hotel restaurant is awesome as well... My only turnoff was the $20 parking charge. It's not even a closed parking with à gate, it's all open with McDonald's and Pizza Hut! It's ridiculous to charge for that, especially at this price even higher than downtown parking fées! Overall, a very good choice that we may choose again next time.
- 4/5
Nice location , pay parking
- 5/5
Good location with access to lots of activities. Clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Great place to stay for the price although you will have to drive or take the bus down to Clifton Hill or the falls. Very clean, kids loved the courtyard playground, arcade, and pool. Very clean, the only recommendation I would have is for them to clean the windows on the roof and around the courtyard and it would have a more premium feel. Lots of food options in the area, grocery store, dollar store, and drug store. Staff was always very pleasant and helpful. Beds are comfortable but the pillow cases are synthetic hydrophobic material which is not terrible but not the most comfortable. Rooms are clean, tvs are big, bathrooms are small and dated but nice. Parking is worth the $20 a night, there are cameras everywhere in the lot.
- 5/5
The room was beautiful. The staff was helpful and friendly.
- 4/5
Parking was easy. Area was a bit sketchy. We watched some people smoke some crack out front which was a little concerning. Some of the items in the hotel room were dated and there was something wrong with the iron but front desk staff gladly switched it out for me. Decent stay and better price than staying at the falls for sure. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Great hotel with awesome pool and hot tub. Also, the staff was incredible including the awesome service at the on-site restaurant/pub. Will definitely book here again!
- 5/5
The hotel is very nice and comfortable. The restaurant was really good and the staff was super nice and friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
The restaurant attached to the hotel was excellent and pretty reasonable! The bed and many pillows were top notch!
- 5/5
Nice property. Bad location
- 4/5
We received vouchers for free breakfast and it was awesome!
- 3/5
Le tapis n'était bien nettoyé. Dans ce moment, j'ai deux transactions pour le meme montant pour l'hébergement, il va fallor que je communique avec l'hotel por regler la situation.
- 5/5
Great stay at this hotel. If stairs are a challenge do not book the pool atrium rooms, there are no elevators. The hotel sent staff to help carry up our bags. The main building rooms have elevator access.
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly place to stay. Good breakfast. We drove from hotel and parked closer to the falls. It was a very easy drive and would have been quite a hike on foot.
- 5/5
Bed was comfortable except for the pillows…too hard
- 3/5
Also, why charge customer for parking lot? I find it odd!
- 5/5
Breakfast that you get if you include it with your room was amazing every morning. The pool was easy accessible . Was clean always dtaff around if needed. Would return to this location.
- 5/5
Je le recommande.!
- 4/5
Excellent
- 4/5
Other Best Westerns have free coffee in the lobby, this one doesn't. The staff was kind when I inquired about non-dairy milk and creamer, and I was surprised that they have nothing. Maybe non-dairy doesn't match the Irish vibe of the restaurant, but with such a large hotel, having some on hand can't be too cost prohibitive. Luckily there is a McDonald's next door.
- 5/5
Food options are definitely available in the area. From Canadian BBQ to Korean
- 5/5
My 93-year-old mom was never going to be able to do that. The checkin person was able to put us on the 1st floor by the pool. It was a perfect .
- 5/5
Nice hotel! Very clean and friendly staff. Room had modern design of sink and mirrow outside typical bathroom (toilet/tub/shower). Also had a fridge which was also excellent. Didn't use the pool, but courtyard area was beautiful and visible/accessible from room. Only "surprize" was the $22+ parking fee.
- 2/5
Bad experience with one of the staff members when i checked in. Really rude and shut me down every time i had a question.
- 4/5
The pool and area around the pool was great. Our room overlooked the swimming pool area so we could hear everyone having fun but it was ok since as soon as the pool closed we didn't hear any noise. My only problem was the $22/night cost for parking. That was annoying that we had to pay that and the listing did not spell out exactly the cost of that. Most hotels included parking so we will think twice to stay here again because of that.
- 5/5
Would stay here again
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel pool area is quite lovely. It was one of the features that drew us to this hotel.
- 3/5
Restaurant is amazing, staff is awesome
- 5/5
Room was spacious and clean and the pub next door/attached was very good. I highly recommend it and would stay again.
- 5/5
Great hotel if you have young kids.

- 4/5
Staff was nice, room could have been a bit cleaner.
- 4/5
A reasonably priced hotel close to the attractions of Niagara Falls. The attached restaurant has great food.
- 5/5
My wife and i had a wonderful 2 night stay, no issues . The staff were very hospitable and Helpful
- 5/5
A nice place to stay with a pool, spa, playground, arcade, restaurant, and bar. Something for all ages. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
I love the fact that they had the pool inside because one of the days that I stayed it rained all day so it was good that the pool was an indoor pool but yet it looked like it was outside
- 4/5
Great location. Close enough to drive to all desired areas
- 5/5
My eight-year-old son and I absolutely loved this place. The amenities were amazing. The rooms were clean. Everywhere was clean. We had a wonderful time. We’re very grateful. Thank you so much.
- 4/5
Everything was good .
- 4/5
I liked that the room I chosed online was the one I got. Very nice room, but next morning tiny bugs were coming from somewhere inside the bathroom I killed 3 and shower bathroom all in a sudden changed temperature either too hot to burn you or too cold to get you sick. I just stayed there half day ago from July 26 till today July 29. Although front desk ladies were nice with us
- 3/5
This was a decent hotel. It’s dated and needs a refresh but the pros were: good sized room, rooms around the pool on the main floor area are convenient with kids, lots of seating outside rooms around pool area, arcade, fridge in room. Other than being a bit dated and in need of a refresh it was decent. We, however, had a bad experience the first night - woke up to sound of water running and stepped in a large puddle of water at 3 am. Called the front desk who weren’t overly helpful (essentially advised us to wait until morning and would have maintenance look at it). Meanwhile, the overhead AC unit leaked all night (filled up and emptied garbage can twice after mopping up all of the water on the floor with all the towels in the room). Needless to say, not the most restful night. Front office staff didn’t offer much in terms other than to discount the parking.

The staff at the front desk were welcoming and helpful. Our room was extremely clean. We loved the restaurant attached to the hotel. They had a great breakfast. But there were also several other dining options on the same street that are easy to walk to. We stayed off the courtyard, I had read some reviews about it being noisy, but it really wasn’t. It is a short easy drive to Niagara Falls. We had a great stay, and would stay again!

We loved the pool area! The beds were a little hard for us, but the courtyard was like a little getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful, and we had no issues with the check in or check out.

Great location

Hotel was ok. There was a lot of things that could have used one more cleaning person. Windows and entryways that looked like they rarely get attended to. The hotel was in a not so great area… bicycle riders hiding behind dumpsters doing who knows what, etc. Just not our usual 4* plus rated accommodations. Probably only a low 3* for me. The golf simulator was a nice feature, but I will take safe and clean over more frills.

The kids loved the pool and the play structure. The room was small but fine for our short stay. Parking was a bit expensive but overall we enjoyed our stay!
