I also believe the air conditioning filters have not been cleaned in a very long time, as a bad smell came from the unit whenever it was running. After I thoroughly cleaned the room myself, my stay was acceptable. On the positive side, I did not see any insects during my stay, which I was very thankful for. However, the common areas were also in poor condition. The hallways were very dirty, and the carpet throughout the building appeared extremely dirty and had a strong unpleasant odor. Overall, it’s an affordable place to stay, but management should invest much more effort in cleaning and maintenance.

Felt uncomfortable with people standing around outside the front door at night. Water leaked from the shower into the bathroom floor. Staff constantly called confirming when I was arriving

I didn’t like anything about this property I stay at this property for a week during spring break while been there there was two neighbors that stay there and smoke I called today about my deposit of 50.00 and they basically said we smoked in the room when neither one of us smokes! I just think the house keepers was upset because they wanted us outta the room at 10:15 when our check out time was 11:00! We left when our time was up and that’s that I will not be staying at this room again I will not recommend nobody to stay there the only good thing they had was the fact we could cook there because of the stove area! I should had reported when we got in the room it smelled like weed and cigarettes from the jump! I’ve already changed my card information because they tried to get 200 off my card already! Then the guy told me he wasn’t gonna refund me my money and told me that he was done talking about it and hung up they are truly rude! I wasn’t the only one complaining about the hotel the couple across the hall told me the house keepers walked in without knocking while they was sleeping if that’s not rude I don’t know!

Hotel was fairly clean and quiet right across the street from a Walmart There's no one at the front desk. You have to talk to a computer. The staff that works barely speaks English. So when you need something you have to go downstairs the computer in the lobby then they will call the staff member. Didn't like the extra fees that get tacked on

You get what you pay for. Constant yelling and banging, newport news police there every 10 minutes. No sleep or rest at all.

There was constant noisy tenants at all hours. Toddlers running up and down the halls screaming and playing starting at 7am every morning without parents being parents! The guy next door yelling at 3am and starts blasting rap music at 6am daily. The window may as well be a piece of paper. From the second floor i could hear people talking in normal tones from the parking lot. The shower looked like it had never been cleaned. I ended up showering at the gym. The floors turned my white socks brown! Disgusting!!!! The entire first floor lobby smelled like a dirty armpit. Just a nasty, dirty hotel with a lot of disrespectful, loud and rude tenants.

The 2nd floor hallway needs deep cleaning and brand new carpet, it smelled horrible! The tub in the room we were in needs to be replaced as it is peeling. Had to ask for new bedding, as the sheet appeared dirty when the comforter was pulled back.

Horrible hotel , it’s drug addicts and drug dealers all around in and out the hotel. The staff all have nasty attitudes , I think it’s because so many drug affiliated people are around so they think and treat everyone as if they are involved in that kind of stuff. The rooms are dirty on the walls and in the bathrooms. My room did not have a remote the first night , I notified them and they did not bring it until the morning. Switched my room because the new remote didn’t work , just for them to put me in a room where the toilet didn’t flush , the toilet would never fill up with water so the pressure of flushing it was never enough.

This was a terrible experience. I booked this hotel several MONTHS ago. I show up and have to talk to a employee on a computer screen. She told me they "tried" to call me yesterday to tell me they had to cancel my reservation for "maintenence" but could let me stay the night but not the three nights i reserved. I asked could they just honor my res since they are not doing all the rooms at once. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The staff did not give a sincere apology for this inconvenience and was not able to answer questions about the proposed maintenence. I believe she was untruthful and I hated this encounter.

The room was okay, bo blackout curtains, so the sun shines right into your eyes in the am, the tub had no plug, was stained and filthy. The tv wouldnt connect to any of the channels. I stayed before, thus time I was provided a room to Jefferson Blvd that was very noisy, firefighters and police and the worse free exhaust car and motorcycles making very difficult to sleep at night.

Had a room with no remote , they literally told me to come back and get the remote in the morning at 9am. When my checkout was 11am. So I sat in a room with no remote all night , NO TV at all.

Virtual check in was different. Elevator needs Jesus. Bathroom was ik but tub needs replacing and the touch up paint job was 2 shades lighter than the original color. Bathroom faucet was too short so water went all over the place. Pillows were flat. Thin walls and LOUD neighbors.

The undersheets were stained, cabinets not wiped clean. I interacted with the staff remotely by video screen. I had difficulty understanding them because of their thick accents. Hall carpets were stained and dirty. I was concerned about bed bugs.

Comfortable bed. Updated decor. Cable with plenty of options to choose from. Close to restaurants. Full size fridge and microwave. Very reasonable security deposit. Common areas not updated making them look extremely dirty. Check in kiosk where I had to talk by video to someone making the check in process a lot longer than necessary. No black out curtains. Blinds only block so much light.

There was no receptionist, it was a screen with a webcam with someone checking me in. The whole transaction felt sketchy and I didn’t get the king size room I booked. It was smelly and unsafe so I instantly left to find a better hotel.

The staff was very helpful when our TV wasn't working and when we couldn't figure out our AC. They even helped with our toilet and cleaned and replaced our towels while doing so. And our light under the microwave needed to be replaced too. I thought you guys provided things like silverware, plates, cups etc... but I was wrong. I wish we'd still had a lamp or some kind of light at or near the dinner table as it's too dark for me. The only other thing is the 50 dollar deposit when checking in. I almost didn't have it. Thank goodness you took cash. I like this place though and hope to be back.

Ice still in the bucket in the freezer, microwave was still dirty, not a suface was wiped down, no wash clothes, used soap where you get the towels from, no soap, shampoo/ conditioner, someones labels were still in a drawer, a pillow had a visible stain due to beibg the first pillow proped, the floor was dirty nor moped.

Unfortunately the window inside just had some blinds no curtains to block out the street lights and sun. Some people need complete darkness to sleep. The shower was low pressure, I requested extra towels and they were not put in my room. At minimum a hotel room should have perfect shower pressure and temperature and your sleep should be good. The bed is not mounted to the wall so it kept sliding away from the wall. That is not ideal for obvious reasons. I was only there for a night but tbh I’d rather stay further away and get better accommodations and spend more money. My preferences were not met, my requests were not met. So I won’t be returning. Please do better to have returning customers.

Towels & washcloths had stains, the paint was super chipped on the walls and bathroom door was so jammed it’ll take you ramming yourself into it to close. The only good thing about this hotel was we didn’t see any bugs or rodents however a rat trap was found behind the refrigerator. 0/10 experience wouldn’t even recommend to the homeless.

Only downside about it was u heard sirens a lot and can hear outside noise fairly easily, but other than that everything was amazing! i will be staying again! It’s nice for a cheap hotel, definitely recommend!

AMAZING...this is the 3rd hotel I have been at with my kids. I have 4 under age 5. I have had noise complaints from both previous hotels. I have had none here yet so the walls and floors are thicker. They are very accommodating and if staying more than a night they replace linen and towels where as other hotels said you washed on your own. Staff is friendly and willing to go extra mile if need be. This is a really rough time for my family and the last thing I want is to be stuck in a hotel with my children however their ability to work with me and have patience has made thing's a little easier.Rooms are spacious for the most part. Very clean. Didn't even see dust...best part NO BUGS like didn't even see a fly shortage is also a plus. As well as seating for amount of ppl I have. Not only a table but desk as well for kids to sit and eat. Stove and sink as well as cupboards were all clean which is more than I can say about other places I have stayed.

It took the girl 30 mins or so to find my reservation in the system. I showed her my confirmation number and I have been charged for it already. She was on the phone texting. She wasn’t professional.

I booked a king suite , when i arrived i was told i could not get the room i booked because the person extended their stay in the room i booked . I was given a regular room with two double beds you cannot connect . No lower price or compensation. I took the room anyway and when i entered the room it was filthy . Stains on sheets and pillows , stains on the walls and comforter , roach crawling on the floor and filthy floors . I already was given a smaller room with a considerably smaller bed and the room was filthy. I complained and was given another room of the same type ( two double sized beds ) that room was in better condition . However the remotes to the tv did not work. The area is very odd as well , questionable people staying there and the parking area is sketchy. Room design is actually pretty decent , just poor area and cleanliness is not that good . Overall 5/10 experience.

This second stay was out of pure necessity; i would never stay here again. They have roaches and it wrecks of curry when you walk in. The elevator didn’t work all weekend, no vending machines either. A lot of family members and homeless stay here for days and they want &100 deposit for a red roof brand hotel that was about $90 a night

The hotel smelled like curry and had roaches ; i called customer service trying to get change and they didn’t help me at all. They also wanted $100 deposit for a hotel that was like $70/nt… the owner was nice but the bldg has a ton of ppl (family of owner) and homeless living in there

The hotel spells very musty and it damp when you first walk in. The room smells just as bad, there are soiled sheets, molded pillows, bullet holes in windows, and bed bugs. Do not let the nicer photos fool you!

No hotel lock for a reason. Woke up to two workers in my room telling me to get out. Instead of just charging me for another night. I work 6:30 pm to 5 am. I specifically requested a 4:00 late check out, and was not given that despite asking for it.

Carpet in poor condition (many pieces of gum ground into the carpet). Room wasn't made up, but reception immediately refunded my money with a smile and apology. When walking out, noticed large cricket in the hall.

I think I will sleep in the car next time rather than stay in here

This property appears nice by the pics on the website. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot it was a no/go but all the area hotels were sold out. It's very rundown the glass was dirty at the front door/panel on front desk hanging off. Our 1st room stunk really bad and had ants. The desk clerk was nice and moved us. Ceiling in bathroom peeling, hard wood floors sticky and dirty. I just wouldn't stay again if you can afford better stay somewhere else. I paid around $160.00 there was an event in the area the rates should be compared to a 2 star motel. This property needs to be refreshed really bad, paint, carpeting, exterior and interior!

I booked 2 rooms and both rooms has stained sheets. Bathtubs has not cleaned properly. Mattresses are not attached the headboard so they were moving on every single body movement. Barely slept for 3 hours. Be aware.
