    Room was not very clean. Room had odor of mildew and musky odor. Bed linens were very worn. Needed additional towels towels that were given smelled unclean. Ceiling falling apart. Walls dirty.

    My family stayed here for one night and did enjoy our night. The room had a strange odor like water damage occurred somewhere. The bathroom was dirty stains were on the toilet seat meaning no one clean prior to us stay or did a rush job. This place is going downhill. I will not stay here again. Worst experience ever plus I seen a family in the hallway that had to was hours before checking in due to their room not being ready. This company needs new leadership, front desk employees and cleaning staff.

    Check in was at 3pm. Was told room wasn’t clean until 6:45pm. I didn’t not get in to my room until 7pm. And was told that they could not comp my room or move me. You honestly could not pay me to stay there again. Literally ruined my experience my only time using hotels.com

    The staff members were very nice, the location was great, and the room was comfortable. The first light in the room made a loud buzzing noise until we turned it off. The pamphlets (rules and the bistro menu) had outdated information. One of the box spring covers had a very visible, kinda gross looking stain in plain view, some crayon was on a wall next to a bed.

    Check in was not available at the scheduled time (3pm). They were short staffed and housekeeping was behind on rooms. I wasn’t able to check in until close to 8pm. The front desk clerk did extend my checkout by 2 hours. But, I still feel the check in process was unacceptable—especially since I came from out of town.

    This was out 5th or 6th stay at this property. It is always a great experience. Front desk staff is always kind and welcoming. Check-in is always a breeze. Rooms are clean and comfortable. It's a quiet hotel.

    The suite was really big perfect for my family. Beds was soft and room clean. Only reason i gave 4 stars is because i had issues at check in the lady told me one of my rooms was gone and i only had 2 instead of 3. I kept tell her one of my rooms was in another name. We paid for all three rooms but she was still tell me that the 3 i book was only 2. Yes very confusing and frustrating when we just drove 10 hrs. When we checked out the new lady at the desk said she didn’t know what the issue was but my card i placed on file was on all 3 rooms so they were all mine. Other then that hotel was clean, they only had 1 elevators working but rooms was really nice.

    Beware of parking your vehicle. The hotel gives you a parking pass but takes none of your vehicle info. If your parking tag is not clearly visible on the dash you get towed as I did at a cost of $180. even though I was in a Marriott designated spot. the hotel has no contact with the towing Co. Taking a min. for a cursory look would have identified my parking tag. Ruined our entire stay as we first thought the car was stolen.

I mentioned I would like a little bottle of lotion, they were waiting g on a shipment later that day. That evening g a staff member delivered the little bottle of lotion.     Staff was friendly and room was comfortable, but TV was difficult to use with no instructions. Finally found an app for YouTube TV with some live shows. One of 2 elevators was out of order. $5 per day parking and had to be careful to park in spaces marked for hotel. No free breakfast…my fault for not reading the fine print. There was a pricy bistro serving a nice selection but we only used it once.

    Property wasn’t far from things It was just not clean I went to go to the pool n hot tub. Both not working out of order. Then went to go take a nice bath in my room and there was weird stuff on my tub so took a fast shower I took pictures and a video of it. Look like someone had the shits and it dried on the tub. Then getting out of the shower i push the curtain out of the wait and notice dried up soap studs on there that were not from my bar of soap I used! It was just gross and the room just felt weird.

    Our room was very nice. We got a suite to have extra room. It was huge & very clean. The pool was warm. But the area around the pool was dirty. Leaves & trash all over the floor. And it was there the whole 3 days. It was never even swept. Hot tub was out of order & has green mold growing in it. We would stay again, just because of location & the room. But wish the pool area would be clean next time. Also, teenagers kept letting people in through the outside pool door. I dont think those people were guests of the hotel. It was quite a few people.

    We had one of the best customer service experiences at this hotel. From the moment we checked in the women at the front desk were accommodating and very friendly to speak to. Everyday the same women would see us and make sure we had everything we needed, even recieved a hug from one before we left. Amazing experience, plenty of cozy spots throughtout the lobby and outside to socialize with family, breakfast/coffee, bar w happy hour. Great experience.

    It was an inconvenience and seemed shady that we had to pay for parking. During check in several guests could not leave because their vehicles had been towed because of the hotels parking policy. The construction around the hotel left materials in the road that punctured our tire. None of this was told to us before or during booking with expedia. They made me wholas far as the parking fees but its hard to relax on vacation when you constantly have to peep out the window throughout the night just to make sure your car isn't towed.

    Another area I noticed is that tables in the dining area and lobby were not always cleaned and chairs at the long bar table remained in dis-array. These areas in particular should remain focused on as they are the first representation of the interior of the property and can deter ones decision whether or not to sit and relax in the lobby or whether or not to dine in.

    It was a nice stay. The service at the bistro was lacking. It had one person operating it and it seemed like they were making to food on top of serving the people at the bar ( which meant you had to wait a bit to get served). In the shower was a note to close the door all the way, but even with me having to hold the door closed there was no complete seal so water ended up on the floor outside the shower. Lastly this location does not provide house keeping everyday (which was not a problem for me), just a heads up. Overall I had a nice stay.

    The greatest part of the hotel was the staff! All were amazing! However, the hotel is definitely showing signs of neglect. There were stains all over the elevators, including smear stains of only god knows what. They had hand sanitizer stations at every elevator but none of them worked. The exterior of the hotel was dirty and desperately needs to be power washed. I guess I can’t be too surprised, we were in Newport News.

    Negative: I had a five night stay with no house keeping when I was told that housekeeping would be every 2 days. In room coffee was not palable. No morning breakfast which means no coffee or tea. There is a Starbucks but a large coffee is over seven dollars. Housekeeping personnel on my floor did not speak english so asking for my trash to be removed was trite. I noticed 2 nights during my stay that other quests left trash outside door. I now know why. Front desk offered to give me points to my account but that did not happen. I would book again. Interesting, hoteks.com was cheaper than booking through the website directly.

    Nice hotel. Very clean but the hall on level 3 had a slight odor smell and even the room. Besides that it was good.

    Check in was amazing the front desk ladies helped get me in extra early cause I was traveling by myself and had no transportation after landing early that morning. I even got to extend my stay for the next night but it was a little more expensive then I would have liked.

    Good location. There was a disgusting odor when you get off the 2nd and 3rd fl elevator. We were told the bar and restaurant would be opening and it never did because the worker did not report for work.
