The area was ok. Check in and check out was fast and smooth. Rooms could've been cleaner. Bed and pillows uncomfortable, but we just needed to sleep and booked here. Parking was great, basically right at each door. No breakfast, but close to some restaurants.

The sheets at least seemed like they were washed. Filthy room. Dirt, grime and hair seen around bathroom floor and baseboards. Water coming out of the shower smelt rancid. Carpet felt oily, clearly ancient. Room smelled.

. It was outdated and the toilet was stained. Couldn't use the tub, no stopper was provided. The blankets were thin as tablecloths. Toilet hard to flush. It eventually stopped up. Went to the office for plunger and no one was there. Thus, had to leave the Toilet clogged and check out earlier to use another establishment. So, we were able te rest after our long drive and that's what we paid for.

Racist manager I tried to book a room and he turned me away saying I've stayed there before which I have NOT, he then scanned my id and seen that it wasn't the same person but still refused to give me a room just because "we had the same name" which was weird. I'm a hard working dad who just needed a room for me and my toddler for a few nights and was being racially profiled it's 2025 let's do better. I also had to jump through hoops to get my money back because I booked and paid for it online, stay away from this place they hate the color of your brown skin but love your green dollars.

The experience was beyond horrible the manager/owner was racist and rude as hell! My house was being remodeled so I had to stay in a hotel for a few weeks, long story short around my 5th night there the experience was nothing but horrible after checking me in the owner nastily stated that he's been watching me for a few days on camera and that he "sees everything" so if I have a guest stay over hed know. MIND YOU it was only my infant son and me staying in the room. He told his staff to book me in a certain room where a camera was right in front of my door And the fact that he told me he's watching me CREEPED me out to the point I booked somewhere else the next night. The room smelled of smoke even though it was a non smoking room and the bed had stains. The shower also was dirty so I had to use my own cleaning products! Please RUN far away from this establishment it's cheap but not worth it if I could give it 0 stars I would!

This place was cheap. There were dead roaches everywhere which the hotel staff tried to say were “water bugs”….. which translates to roaches that came through the water and were in no way disguised as water bugs. The refrigerator was not clean and had something oozing from it. The beds were ok. There was no chain on the door. The toilet was dirty. There were not enough towels so we had to get more from the front desk.

It was a pretty basic hotel room. It was clean, sheets were clean, and towels were hotel quality. The staff was polite. Only "complaint" the TV was not a smart tv. 1st world problems. A great option for some place not as expensive with that being said you get what you pay for so don’t expect much but it’s better than nothing. There is multiple gas stations and stores in walking distance. Staff is great.

Also, a shoutout to S&A Deli in Newport News for those late-night cravings! Their hot food is available 24 hours, and it's a must-try. You're welcome for the tip! Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and affordable stay. Can't wait to visit again!

This property wasn’t bad overall. It was clean and no one hanging out or around. The beds were comfortable enough for one night. It’s a hotel not the Ritz Carlton. The woman that checked me in wasn’t friendly at all but it’s whatever to me because I didn’t have to deal with her anymore. Like I said, it wast bad.

Wonderful stay. Nice rooms, clean comfortable bed. Walking distance to breakfast, gas station/convenience store and several other restaurants. 10 minute easy drive to CNU were went for sporting event. Only reason I didn’t rate excellent was the shower was a little sub par. Other than that highly recommend!

The service at the budget Lodge was horrible. Nothing like the picture that I saw they were renovating their stats? The service was horrible. We did not get clean towels every day. It was just horrible.

The staff was wonderful. I had to get additional keys because I would lock myself out. Management was patient and kind. The supervisor of the maid staff was kind, accommodating, and professional when I asked for cleaner towels and face cloths, and gave assurance about bed linens. My room could do with some minor repairs; security lock on my door was broken, broken tiles and dirty grout.

This place is disgusting. My room REEKED of mold smell. The toilet was completely disgusting. They left enough toilet paper to blow my nose once with. Never again..

Rooms were actually at least the one I was in practically brand new they had the air conditioner on it was nice and cold in there but they do not have an ice machine which was like a mile down the road. I have never ever been to a hotel that had no ice machine

the staff member checking us in was on a personal phone call throughout the whole check in. we got a non smoking room and there is as no smoke smell, but the blankets in the room had a couple burn holes in it. they only accepted a cash security deposit but do not have an atm on the property.

We have stayed at the motel everytime we come to Newport News. They give us the same room everytime also. The staff is polite and the room is also clean and fresh. We will continue to try and book this property when we return. I also, hope we can continue to receive the same room. Because we love that room and it's on the bottom floor. I can't do steps because of a bad knee. bad knee. Thanks as always

The absolute worse do you hear me lol Expedia needs to remove them from an option rude unprofessional wasn’t going to allow me to check in because I decided to bring my kids and the reservation was for 2 as if I’m at a resort and the price would change they wouldn’t give extra wash clothes or towels because my kids weren’t on the reservation

The beds were comfortable, the hair dryer in the room didn't work, the room was clean but in a general state of disrepair. If I was traveling as a single guy, this would've been a fine place to stay on the cheap. Unfortunately, the hotel's semi-permanent residents made this an absolutely unacceptable place for females, and in fact changed the way I look for hotels in a very basic way. No more outward-entrance hotels for me where anyone and everyone can observe what room you're in and then effectively blockade it by smoking and drinking in large groups outside your door.

Disgusting. We stayed there for a basketball tournament. I booked the room for my family, I was traveling separately from my wife and kids. They wouldn’t allow my wife to check in because the reservation was under my name. After 40 min of trying to rectify the situation they checked in. What they found was hair in the sheet
